521  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which app would you recommend for crypto news? on: August 01, 2023, 01:18:30 PM
It looks like quite useful thing. I don't like to rely on news from single website, while I don't always have time to browse multiple websites. So, this bot is working like aggregator, getting news from multiple resources. Only downside that I see is that news from multiple resources sometimes repeats, but in general, it's minor thing.

Thanks for the feedback, a lot of people reported the same thing. I had plans to allow users to subscribe to certain sources or subjects that way they're not receiving many articles about the same thing but I had to pause that for some time due to the lack of time, but I'm planning to resume the work, possibly by the end of the month.
522  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: ELECTRUM HELP on: August 01, 2023, 12:16:38 PM
There's sadly nothing much you can do if the transactions have been confirmed. Electrum developers can't help you with your issue either. This is a non-custodial wallet.

As mentioned above, it seems like you have malware. This is quite worrying though, this is like the third time I see a similar post in the last couple of weeks or so. Did this happen on PC or mobile?
523  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: July 30, 2023, 07:33:18 PM
I found this new service[1] on Binance's pay merchants page. I'd like to hear your thoughts before listing them if anyone has used them before and for those who didn't, if you can't see any items listed, it's probably because of your adblocker.

Were you sent an email saying the deadline is August second? I could be wrong but it looks like you're late from claiming if you haven't done that already. AFAIk, the date has been postponed from January[1] to April 2023 already. I couldn't find any recent articles.

525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a best way of withdrawing profits from exchanges? on: July 28, 2023, 03:19:29 PM
I hope you're not planning to keep your funds on exchanges for a couple of years, that's not wise. Use a hardware wallet instead. As for your question, then  P2P is probably the best way to eliminate as much fees are possible.
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Extract stats from Bitcoin Core DB - HELP! on: July 28, 2023, 01:08:00 PM
No, as far as I know, that's not possible. I'm guessing you're referring to all the wallets out there, and not just yours. Right?

If so, take a look at LoyceV's topic, it should help you achieve what you want : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254914.0

TheBitcoinCompany cards can be used on googleplay or similar websites, but better read their FAQ page:
https://intercom.help/thebitcoincompany/en/collections/3333956-frequently-asked-questions

Thanks but there isn't much there about where can one use the card. There are mentions of Google Pay, but that doesn't seem to be working either. I have also tried G2A, Recharge.com, you name it, but the card has been declined everywhere.
528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: P2P trading on binance/wm.exchanger payeer, advcash, perfect money on: July 28, 2023, 08:54:38 AM
I'm wondering how you can get a lock on payer, advcash and perfectmoney. How dangerous to have a turnover of 1000 dollars a month betwen binance p2p or webmoney exchanger p2p ?

As I mentioned above, these services are probably not going to be as strict as the bank, and since you can prove that the funds are coming from Binance, you should be fine but you should also be ready to provide proof of identity, source of income, etc. if asked to. If you can't do that, then you should probably stay away from these types of online banks/wallets.
529  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Please who knows about localcoinswap on: July 28, 2023, 07:44:22 AM
Validate your address by doing what exactly? Send him an amount of money? This looks like a scam. You should be able to do your trading process without telegram, unless you decided to enable their telegram notifications[1] (which also doesn't need any sort of address validation)

530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: P2P trading on binance/wm.exchanger payeer, advcash, perfect money on: July 26, 2023, 10:42:08 AM
You're asking when do services you mentioned start blocking accounts after you trade on Binance P2P?

Both Payeer and Advcash should be crypto-friendly services, I don't see why would they block your account so as long as you have a verified account and you're not doing something suspicious, I would say you should be fine.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase wallet has £0 balance but $ is showing as USDT on: July 26, 2023, 08:21:59 AM
-snip-

Well, it looks like it's a fake one. The real USDT should have its icon on Etherscan but just to confirm, on the last row on the screenshot, click on  "Tether USD" to see more details about the asset (including the contract address).
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase wallet has £0 balance but $ is showing as USDT on: July 26, 2023, 08:09:21 AM
Where do I find the contract address?  In etherscan?

I'm not sure if you could do that within the Coinbase app, but yes it should be possible to do that with etherscan.

Start by looking for your address, then find the transaction where you received this token. If you're unsure how either post your address or the TXID so we can help you.
533  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to find out the last EUR conversion rate update? on: July 25, 2023, 02:14:17 PM
Thank you.

But where do I change these values?
I cannot find them in electrum_data\config   file

I am using the portable version of Electrum

I don't believe you can change those values by using the configuration file, you probably need to change the source code and recompile the file yourself.

What is it that you're trying to achieve though? as suggested above, you can always get the BTC value from your Electrum, and then head to preev.com to check.
534  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it a wallet bug on: July 25, 2023, 08:23:26 AM

Can you recommend me a good mobile wallet?
Of course, it will be installed on the new smartphone because I do not want to be discouraged
and I intend to continue buying BTC only this time more responsibly
Once again, thank you very much for your help

Bluewallet[1] should be a good alternative. The wallet does support Electrum's seed, but you don't want to import that. Create a new wallet instead. You should also consider getting a hardware wallet if you're going to store decent sums of money.

535  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to find out the last EUR conversion rate update? on: July 24, 2023, 06:38:23 PM
EDIT: Okay since you edited your post.

The rates can be retrieved from different sources (CoinGecko, Kraken, etc.) you can change that from Tools -> Preferences -> Fiat -> Source.

I think these variables are what control how often the price is fetched (someone corrects me if I'm wrong):

SPOT_RATE_REFRESH_TARGET = 150      # approx. every 2.5 minutes, try to refresh spot price
SPOT_RATE_CLOSE_TO_STALE = 450      # try harder to fetch an update if price is getting old
SPOT_RATE_EXPIRY = 600              # spot price becomes stale after 10 minutes -> we no longer show/use it
536  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet.dat on mobile phone? on: July 24, 2023, 06:24:16 PM
Are you sure that file (wallet.dat) is from Electrum though? AFAIK, Bitcoin core is the only wallet that generates the .dat files.

But if you're just referring to the wallet file, then there's is no way to import it and I don't think you could add it to internal storage unless your device is rooted.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there any website for Message signin and verifying? on: July 24, 2023, 04:30:52 PM
You need a software wallet at the very least. Like mentioned above by OmegaStarScream; Bluewallet should do fine. Although I am not sure if the phone app or the desktop version is being referred to.

I was referring to the Android/iOS wallets since OP wants something to sign his messages while he's away from his PC, there's also a desktop version[1] but it's only available for MacOS users.

538  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it a wallet bug on: July 24, 2023, 12:37:00 PM
so it printed the QR code
What exactly it printed the QR code?
-snip-

It's the ATM apparently. Some ATMs give you a printed private key so you can sweep them directly into your wallet afterward.

@OP As I said, the transaction can't have anything to do with the ATM provider in this case. But looking at the transaction ID, it looks like the funds are being sent to:

3E8ociqZa9mZUSwGdSmAEMAoAxBK3FNDcd

Which apparently is Bitcoin.org donation address? (see the footer).

But I also found that someone reported the same thing as yours three years ago:

https://www.chainabuse.com/report/ec1c7617-7003-4562-9f78-830084850523?context=search-address&a=3E8ociqZa9mZUSwGdSmAEMAoAxBK3FNDcd&chain=BTC

So I still think that you have malware, probably from someone who wants to donate to bitcoin.org? Who knows. Either way, you should stop using that mobile device to store your bitcoin.
539  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it a wallet bug on: July 24, 2023, 08:39:04 AM
Although you didn't answer the question, on whether Bitomat gave you printed private keys, or made you scan your address QR code...

It looks like they couldn't have accessed your funds because, if they gave you a private key, it would've been one only but the TXID you're sharing with us, shows that the funds are coming out from multiple addresses so I still suspect it's a malware.
540  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it a wallet bug on: July 23, 2023, 09:44:05 PM
Let me get this...

You went to a Bitcoin ATM to exchange your fiat to bitcoin. Did they send you the funds or were you given a printed private key?

Either way, I doubt that the ATM provider has anything to do with it. That would be bad for their business.

If the funds moved at the exact same time like the screenshot is showing this could imply that you have a malware monitoring your wallet, that was waiting for you to access your funds so it can make a transaction.

When was it the last time you used the wallet? I would try to recover the wallet elsewhere, move most the funds to another wallet, and then leave a little to try and make another withdrawal to see of you get another transaction at the same time or not.

Also, do you recognize the address the funds are being sent to? It might help if you could post the TXID.
