521  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Samsung confirms they’re developing ASIC’s on: February 03, 2018, 12:29:53 AM
I read about Samsung entering the ASIC arena earlier this week. This could  be good for a few reasons, like the possibility of
more efficient and cheaper mining equipment. With that possibly opening the market to better availability as well. But my
main hope is, that such a Big, well known Name, will draw in more support from other businesses, to reinforce the BTC
community. After all, we can mine, but only as long as there is a need for BTC to be mined.
522  Other / Meta / Re: My account has been hacked on: February 01, 2018, 09:18:30 AM
Double check it, to see if you posted ANY addresses. BTC or Altcoins will work  if you can sign a message from it. The whole
point of locking it is; To stop the spammer who stole it from posting a bunch of crap, and falsely using your reputation to
procure new transactions/deals. Beings, that an email can also be stolen/hacked, it is preferable to use a signed message
because you can sign with the current date showing immediate proof. If you are unable to do this, chances are, you will not
recover the account. Goodluck!!!
523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 31, 2018, 09:26:39 PM
In the email I received,  Pangolinminer had a warning about their website's recent Phishing Attack. I'm happy they noticed. However,
I recommend not opening your btc wallet while on their site. Copy their address, close your browser and disconnect the
internet before opening your Wallet. Send it, close your Wallet, and then reconnect to the Internet to visit the website.

You can call me paranoid, but it's better to be safe, than sorry. Especially, since they are now recognizing the Phishing Threat that
some of us here tried warning everyone about. Another alternative would be, to do the transaction from a different machine
altogether.

Be Safe!!!

Edit: This came through my feed,

Quote from: Whatsminer @ Twitter
We just got notified by our factory that the April and May batches of our M3 Bitcoin ASIC Whatsminer will be closer to 12.5 TH/s as the factory tweaked the ASIC boards and squeezed more hashing. More surprises coming… stay tuned Happy Hashing
524  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 31, 2018, 09:14:21 PM
Can some one please tell me do the porders post Januray come with everything i you need to get them working ?
any help appreciated

They come with the Power Supply. That's it. You may need to find the appropriate C-13 cord to match your 220v outlet, and
a Cat5 cable to connect to the Internet. In the review of the M3 that you saw, philipma1957 posted an unboxing video, and
he shows how to set it up. There are other like minded videos on YouTube.

525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Use drivers from AMD or from sapphire? on: January 31, 2018, 09:00:18 PM
The drivers from Sapphire will most likely have the O.C. you are looking for. Usually, you can check the download description
to find out whats within the drivers. I recommend moving this thread to the ALT mining section for more information.  There
is an option to move it in the lower left corner of YOUR post. Goodluck!!!

Message Verified

I recommend adding Message Verified to the name of the thread. Hopefully this will get some quick attention and someone
can unlock it for you. Until then, be sure to "bump" the thread 1 time per day. Goodluck to you!
527  Other / Meta / Re: Unlock old Bitcointalk account on: January 30, 2018, 11:12:31 PM
It's good you sent the new message. I cannot verify it, I think it's because of the omitted email. I understand you want to
keep it secure by not posting it. If you sign another, without the email, I can verify the message.
528  Other / Meta / Re: Can someone explain why this post is worth 96 merits on: January 30, 2018, 10:54:21 PM
I can certainly understand your frustration with this new system, and I suppose some people might say the post is worthy
of the Merits. However, if only a handful of posts ever receive recognition, a whole lot of people will be left "un-ranked" for
a very long time. Personally, I may not have the greatest posts, but I try my best to help within this "community", and may
be left behind with this new system. The kicker for me is, I have no interest in signature campaigns, and I'm here to learn/
help and my signature area is dedicated to our "community", but I will see very little Merit for my good deeds. For now, I
will come to terms with it, and still be happy when I've made a small difference helping others. A Thank You is all I need.

P.S. I really miss your cat! Always brought a smile to my grumpy old face.

Thanks - I gave you two merits, and the cat jumped on the mouse and gave you another. Smiley

I changed the avatar to a bounty chest because I think I'm going to change my approach a bit. The merit system has brought home to me that this board is now an employment exchange, with a bit of Bitcoin chat on the side. I think I'm going to become a bounty hunter here, as that seems to be the fun occupation. I had a bit of luck as well. I managed to pick up the domain name CryptoBounty.com, so I can use that as a backup and a reference site.

The first thing I must do though is to get over the idea that merit points are some sort of indication of post quality.

Hahaha! Thank you! It truly is great, that my first legitimate Merit, has come from you. I wish you the best of luck on your quest.
I don't know much about Bounties, but if you ever need a hand with anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
529  Other / Meta / Re: Unlock old Bitcointalk account on: January 30, 2018, 10:38:01 PM
you can find the 17HT8rHAH5GcsonF7YBshaq8bo51KRJgLY address into the Profile...
How can you say it's not linked to the account? It's into the Profile page!

Yes, I see and understand that. However, the last activity was in December, and thats the only place that address appears.
The Mods/Admin could argue that you hacked the account, changed the profile address, and got locked out. The other btc
address was posted in 2013, before it was hacked. In fact, it was posted multiple times. Look through the last posts and see.

I went through this myself,  and I know personally how it feels. It would be in your best interest to use the address from 2013
that I asked about.

531  Other / Meta / Re: Unlock old Bitcointalk account on: January 30, 2018, 08:40:29 PM
You will need to sign your message from this address:

 1JVSPfS9GSrWhqBAnbPxq7WED6VJ9dAQKf

That is the only btc address that has been posted on the locked account. However, there are some Altcoin addresses as well.
The address that you have signed with is not linked in anyway to the account. (With exception to the profile page )
If you can sign with the address I've posted, I will verify it for you. If it verifies, I will post here that it has, and you can change
the name to this thread to: ATTN: ADMIN/MOD VERIFICATION PROOF INSIDE.

I am not a Mod, I'm just helping out.
Goodluck!!!

532  Other / Meta / Re: why i can't login on: January 30, 2018, 07:56:38 PM
You can try ...
sorry, but my english is not very good. Did I understand you correctly that I need to publish a text with signed message that I sent to the administrator for verification ?

Yes. Sign a new message with a current date, leave out the email if that makes you feel more secure. Publish it here
and I will verify it, so hopefully a Mod or Admin see it.
533  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is this possible? on: January 30, 2018, 09:32:17 AM
This is a TOTAL SCAM! Never give your wallet information to ANYONE! And, if you did, it would be smart to get
a new wallet right away. If at any point, someone sends you a private message trying to sell you something, it's a scam.
There are too many scams happening as of right now, because there are alot of people just hearing about bitcoin. This in
a way makes new people vulnerable to scamming, because they have yet to research how things work.

Be sure to double check EVERYTHING, and ask others, as you did in this thread. Double check EVERYTHING. Goodluck!!!
534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Change My Signature on: January 29, 2018, 09:47:02 PM
I recommend taking some time and reading some of the "stickies"/ "pinned posts" at the Top of each board you
visit. They can and will answer ALOT of your questions, and some of your curiosities. There is so much to learn
from this forum, it can take days to research just one topic, after sifting through all of the garbage from signature
campaign shite posters. If the campaigning is what you're here for, you might want to look at some of the posts
titled, "why is my account banned?", "where did my posts/activity go?", and the famous, " my account is hacked".
There are rules for posting, and if your account becomes valuable, be sure to secure it. Goodluck!!!
535  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 29, 2018, 09:28:13 PM
$2480 shipped.  Here I am, still waiting on the ones I bought in Dec..... for $1112 per

x2 for me. Pangolinminer must have been very busy, they sent me a email coupon for $100 off my next order. They also
stated they have 368 instock ATM. So it would seem they are blowing right through Q1 release with their flagship M3's.
The phrase, "If it's not broke, don't fix it" should be their slogan! Props to them for giving Bitmain a running competition
with their prices and availability, all the while using an older less efficient 28nm design.
536  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: EMF,Some Observations on: January 29, 2018, 09:48:24 AM
This is great! Hahaha! I could only imagine what's happening to me, when I'm at work, processing 1150 ton
plastic injection moulding machines. I do believe you are correct though, unless you are hugging or sleeping
on those miners, for extended periods of time, they are not that bad.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Greenhorn Needs YOUR Help!! - GPU w/ riser not recognized on ASUS B250 on: January 29, 2018, 09:39:51 AM
The ALT mining section will reward you with answers. In the bottom left corner of YOUR post there is
an option to move it. Goodluck!!!
538  Other / Meta / Re: My account is blocked. Help me, please on: January 29, 2018, 09:32:08 AM
No, i don'n send another Cryptocurrency address. I send my myetherwallet when I filled in the registration form Twitter bounty campaign for participation.

As long as you posted your Eth address, and you can sign a message from it, you can provide proof.
If you need help with signing a message read here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

Note: The wallets are for btc, but the same principal applies to other Cryptocurrency wallets.
You should be able to "right click" on the address and sign/verify message, or a "tab" on the
Menu.
539  Other / Meta / Re: My account is blocked. Help me, please on: January 29, 2018, 09:07:27 AM
Have you posted another Cryptocurrency address in a thread? You can look through the profile posts.
Look for the "last posts of this person". Signing a message, is going to be a necessity to reclaiming
your account. Goodluck!!!
540  Other / Meta / Re: Account Locked. on: January 28, 2018, 09:29:25 PM
My account isn't hacked. It is locked because of password problem. And i don't have any btc address added for signed. Have any othere option to unlocked my account.?

Locked or Hacked, the thread applies to both. With out providing proof that you are the owner before it was
locked, the Admins will not unlock the account. I do not know of any other methods to provide proof.  PGP
might work, but that might prove difficult if you didn't post it in a thread. Are you 100% sure you didn't post
something? When my account was locked in 2015, I had forgotten about posting an address, and a helpful
member found it. Otherwise, I'd suggest searching the forum for alternatives.

EDIT: Here is a thread that you posted an ETH address:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2192440.msg22624638#msg22624638

If you can sign a message from that address with your wallet, that will provide proof of ownership.
