4/20 must be whisper quiet in Thailand.

But if the victim is accepting 0 conf, then the attack will likely succeed unless the victims node is particularly well connected

You only get the coins if someone mines a block with the transaction giving you the coins. So roughly speaking, if your node is better connected (with higher power miners) than the victim's node you have a good chance of winning.

Does that mean all I have to do to double spend is send the funds to myself seconds before I send them to the victim?

Sure, if you can guarantee that you will mine the next block yourself.

Pot on the other hand is harmless. I ate two bars of chocolate with a friend once (one each). One bar had 16 segments of which one segment was enough to floor a casual smoker. Needless to say, we were pretty much immobilized and just spent the following ~12h+ listening to music and watching Youtube. Would definitely repeat.

Same here. I ate a whole bag of pot popcorn. I was gone for a solid 24h. After, no hangover or anything bad. Not a fan of smoking so I stick with edibles. 100% safe stuff.

As you can see if you factor in just hardware loan repayment and power costs never mind any other type of costs and you run at a loss at $9500.00 - There are far better investments you can do than invest 2.3 million USD instead of hardware.

Yeah, I would not recommend mining if your power costs are $.10/kwh. A serious mine should be down in the $.04 range.

Over 9000!

What if infofront moves the goal posts and starts deleting posts made before the 20000th page? People who thought they had a piece of History could get moved back from the 20000th page to earlier pages.

Not just infofront. Anyone can delete their own posts.

—If the costs of mining begin to outweigh, then Bitcoin could cease to exist along with the current generation of other cryptocurrencies.

No, if mining costs outweigh, then miners decrease capacity and the difficulty decreases.

I'm thinking about maximizing for most fun.

It goes without saying I'd probably buy at least 1 bottle of ~$1,000 USD Scotch, as that can likely be spread around nicely, but getting into "expensive spirits" would probably be wasteful.

Now you're talking the good stuff.

Though it is an opinion but there is always a power in the words of the an influential people or a leader.

He doesn't appear to be that influential.

Sure, it might be tax exempt for the state, but it's not tax exempt for federal.

Nobody forwards 0-fee txes. The effective minimum fee is 1-2 sats/byte, which is so cheap it might as well be 0.

To your point, the portfolio that has been prepared for me is quite diverse and (relatively) safe; one of the reasons I'm not hesitating on my Q1 workforce exit. The peeps that prepared it for me are seasoned pros.

Sounds like you'll be able to live *comfortably* just off the interest alone.

My dad before he died had over 5 mil invested... well.. after that nice little dot.com bubble burst he was left with about 750k in his retirement account.  Poof.. just gone.  He passed away shortly after that.

Putting your retirement funds in new technology? That's nuts! Stash it in a variety of safer investments such as certain mutual funds and muni bonds.
