521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My top 10 bitcoin investment advice on: June 01, 2019, 07:08:11 AM
This topic belongs to the Trading Discussion forum.
You have a newbie account and you give advice to crypto traders. What makes you an authority?
Have you ever traded crypto?
in my opinion the point of the topic is what you need to look not the rank of the member
based on the post he also have more than a year experience in crypto
no newbie will know the thing you need to avoid in bitcoin as long as you didnt experience it
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is popular, what do you think? Will you participate? on: June 01, 2019, 06:47:06 AM
IEO only reduce risks not totally avoid scam and risk. It will still depend on the project if it's really has a purpose in our daily life. I will participate to it but I will still be careful before I invest in it. Smiley
i agree it only lower the risk by small margin
IEO is not really new it happen a lot before where exchange act as escrow
success of it really depend on the purpose so we really need to be careful and do a lot of research
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC halving....then btc halving but....... on: June 01, 2019, 06:29:28 AM
are there any other coins that have a halving coming or who just have halvings like ltc and btc?
LTC halving is pretty new to me. I know BTC halved to BCH, but not too sure if LTC also halved. Maybe Ethereum will halve too in future to Constantinople.
Halving means when block reward drop by half as of now miner can earn 12.5 every block when halving occur it will drop to 6.25
BCH is what they called fork its a altcoin generated in bitcoin blockchain
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: June 01, 2019, 06:19:04 AM
Everyone needs to do his own research on what and where to invest, I have a lot of friends who hit a jackpot finding one or two good ICO, the ratio I believe is 8 to 2 out of 10 so investors and bounty hunters  need to diligently check, where to invest I think it's more safer to invest in IEO  than ICO.
its really hard to look for good project your friends is really lucky to discover 2 good ICO out of 10
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do your research before investing in ICOs on: June 01, 2019, 06:07:22 AM
ICOs, or Initial Coin Offerings, have become a popular way for cryptocurrencies to raise funds from the public. However, they have also become an easy way to prey on the vulnerable, and the financial regulator recently warned customers about what it calls “these very high risk, speculative investments”. It warns that there’s little consumer protection and high potential for fraud, as well as high volatility. Some ICOs are regulated by the FCA, but this is on a case-by-case basis, depending on how they are structured.

As the FCA says, you should fully research any ICO before handing over your money. “You should only invest in an ICO project if you are an experienced investor, confident in the quality of the ICO project itself,” a spokesman says. Alternatively, consider investing or trading with a regulated provider.
the risk in ICO is very high so we really need to research first before investing
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone explain to me the motive behind airdrops? on: June 01, 2019, 06:03:00 AM
I'm still wondering why developers will organize airdrops and distribute an amount of tokens which is far lesser than the minimum amount of the tokens that can be deposited on an exchange for trading. If you don't want the users to cash out the money, why do you let them waste their time?
its some kind of strategy for them to get potential investor
its not really a waste of time for those who have nothing to do
crypto price is unpredictable even its worth nothing today
if the coin have some potential someday there a chance price will also rise
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: May 30, 2019, 09:20:41 PM
Now days we have more than 1 000 altcoins on the market. The question is, are people really using them? Frankly speaking only bitcoin, ethereum and monero are used for P2P payments. All others are used mainly for speculation purposes. Is it worth buying altcoins now days? I guess no, because all of them excluding tether are following bitcoin price chart.  I mean if bitcoin is going up or down, altcoins are doing same. (Tether is connected to US dollar rate and used mainly for arbitrage trading purposes) So do we really need altcoins? Regarding platforms, only ethereum is mainly used, and mostly for creating ERC tokens. All others, like waves, neo, etc are used very rarely. Monero is used mosly for shady deals because it is untraceable. (I doubt about that, because one dude who opened a shop on a dark web for selling drugs was cached by police last week. For communication he used 3 level protected VPN and was accepting payments only in monero) https://www.wired.com/story/monero-privacy/ You can read about dark web here. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/internet/dark-web-3593569/ days. The main question is: Do we really need altcoins? Or Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are enough for crypto comunity this days?
well not all altcoin is useless there are lot of altcoin that have different purpose
some altcoin have their own marketplace, exchange , blogging , ads , gaming and many more
where you can use or earn their altcoin in there website

528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to know whales are accumulating coins? on: May 30, 2019, 09:12:04 PM
how to know whales are accumulating coins?

What kind of strategy and tools to know what coins are whale are accumulating? by chart or?
usually you will only know it in exchange if there are large buy wall for the coin and low sell wall
but you will not know if its a whales or few people just got interested in the project because market is unpredictable
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs gonna phase out very soon? on: May 30, 2019, 09:04:45 PM
I have been playing into some few ICO projects lately, and the reality is that I lost a lot of money due to the domination of the bear market and uncertainty of the projects going forward.

As the old saying goes, more than 90% of those projects are either scams, failed to reach soft cap, or not getting any traction in the next few months or so.

Maybe it’s because ICOs are not regulated and investors like me holds all of the risks.

Until now, there are still new ICOs emerging. However, there are also new ones such as STOs (security token offerings), IEOs (initial exchange offerings), and so on. It seems that both STOs and IEOs are already being considered the next big thing in raising crypto funds for starters.

With their ongoing emergence, are ICOs gonna be over soon? Are they gonna saturate and may phase out due to projects turning to STOs and IEOs?

I wanna know about your thoughts regarding this one, and I would greatly appreciate it whether if you agree or not with my opinion. Thank you in advance.
its not imposible that ICO will still exist in future
but i think investor will pick IEO or STO because the risk is lower than ICO
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the time traveller’s “2019 BTC price” become true? on: May 30, 2019, 12:46:38 PM
To be honest guys, I felt some goosebumps after reading the self-proclaimed Bitcoin time traveller from 2025. You can Google that right now.

John McAfee projected that Bitcoin would reach a million dollars by the end of 2020 or else he would eat his d*** on national TV. As the time traveller said that for this year, Bitcoin will hit $100,000.

All of his statements since 2013 were actually true.

I know that this sounds crazy or fantasy stuff, but will he prove that this year Bitcoin will actually hit at least $100,000 even one time?

We still have 7 months to go before 2019 ends. What are your thoughts on this one guys? Would love to hear responses from the community here.

P.S. If Quantum Realm along with Pym Particle does exist in 2025, I would like to travel back in time when that man buys pizza for 10,000 Bitcoin and gonna buy as much as I want lol.
thats was some good prediction . out of curiosity i become interested in time travel but not a believer
but let see if the prediction is true that bitcoin will reach $100,000 before end of the year
its not impossible but it will hard to achieve  Grin

531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in thinking, Do not worry later. on: May 30, 2019, 12:11:44 PM
At present, the situation in the market. There is no chance of becoming an overnight buyer in BITCOIN. So think about investing more often than new investors. Many of them have seen their capital being wasted. Due to investing without understanding,
those who dont know what bitcoin is surely will lose
they panic when price drop and sell for lose thinking it will never rise again
they can only gain profit in bitcoin for short time if they lucky but for sure profit they need to hodl long term
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: May 29, 2019, 06:36:32 PM
Yes, sometimes I advise friends to buy because the price of bitcoin is still affordable, but buying or not still depends on them.
i also do this not only in my friend but also in my relatives but i always told them that if they invest in bitcoin there are no easy money in bitcoin and always expect the worse and prepare to hodl in long term

535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Is Not? on: May 29, 2019, 04:59:42 PM
As Bitcoin is once again at the $8,000+ level, there is a raging excitement and a big buzz in the marketplace on the King of Crypto. People are asking if this can be the start of the big bull run -- the big one to push Bitcoin beyond the $20,000 zone almost achieved in 2017.

With all the hypes and speculations surrounding Bitcoin, here are some bitcoin FACTS and why bitcoin enthusiast like myself love it, trust it, and just could not wait of what can be...

1. Bitcoin is money
2. Bitcoin is an asset
3. Bitcoin is a commodity
4. Bitcoin is a utility
5. Bitcoin is more valuable than gold and USD.
6. Bitcoin is the cheapest way to transfer money
7. Bitcoin is on it's way to being the world currency
8. Bitcoin provides solutions for people worldwide without bank accounts, who can't get bank accounts, or don't have access to banks in their region.
9. Bitcoin can be traded.
10. Bitcoin has IRA's, Futures, Mutual Funds, Credit, Loans
11. Bitcoin has a limited supply of only 21 million giving it serious value whereas 17,674,400 has already been mined.
12. Bitcoin has to be mined, the source of all bitcoin, and will go on for the next 120 years to 2140.
13. Bitcoin is the FIRST and leader of all the 2116 cryptocurrencies on the market as of 4/30/19 dominating at 54.6% of the market cap of $172.6 billion!
14. Bitcoin is accepted worldwide at hundreds of thousands of retailers to pay for goods and services from coffee and pizza to paying taxes, luxury vacations, cars, homes, boats, and more!
15. Bitcoin is predicted to be worth $100,000 per coin within the next 3 years and $250,000 within the next 5 years.

Now, among this list, which do you think is not true or will not come true?

for me i always believe Bitcoin is on it's way to being the world currency
as of now we cannot say world even you can use it all over the world only few individual know it
but if you look in it in the bright side its not really impossible
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what we can buy with bitcoin ?? on: May 25, 2019, 11:54:04 AM
With so much speculation surrounding Bitcoin, it’s worth evaluating what you can buy and transact with in Bitcoin for regular, everyday transactions as well as some more fringe use cases.

SO WHAT WE CAN BUY WITH BITCOIN IHEARS TRAVELS BUT THERE IS OTHER PRODUCT CAN BUY IT Huh?

There are certain merchants and countries that accepts bitcoin as payment, but it varies and limited as of now. Here in our country, you can use bitcoin to pay your bills, travel, buy some goods, and a lot more. It all depends on what country are you on, since there are countries that supports cryptocurrency and there are still some countries who are skeptical about it.

You are blessed I think for having a country like yours, that you can used Bitcoin to pay all your billings every month, right?
actually, We are on the same page too, aside from billings, We have an exchange here that We can able to use remittances to send money,
and some merchants too like restaurant that accepting bitcoin as mode of payment. But not all country right now are open into bitcoin like here
in my country.
i agree as of now it really only depend on your country
in my country remitance and pay bills is also available some say there also bitcoin atm machine available

537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sick of high fees Ive moved over to alts on: May 24, 2019, 01:27:52 PM
I used to be in the bitcoin core crowd but after still paying ridiculous fees recently Ive moved over to bch and SV, I Guess this is kind of a rant, but I dont understand who the hell wants to pay high fees to send money to someone.
if its small amount of transaction its really better to to use some alternative
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Right Now: Will Do A Bull Run Too? on: May 24, 2019, 01:24:40 PM

Eth is possessing a great promise and potential among all the possible contenders to the throne of Bitcoin. With a good dev team behind and with the leadership of a young Russian-Canadian programmer named Vitalik Buterin, it was also a recipient of the 2017 cryptocurrency bull run. I remember that Eth reached more than $1,000 back then before dropping dramatically.

Now that Bitcoin is excitedly showing its bull run, many Eth holders like me are wishing that it can do its dance upwards as well. Yes, it is showing some good movements but not with the same intensity as Bitcoin.

Will Eth get benefited by the current strong showing of Bitcoin or will do its own slow like snail move?
ETh have some potential so its not impossible for the price to increase when bitcoin price rise
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A New Bitcoin Rival Is Coming? on: May 24, 2019, 11:38:50 AM

There is now a name for the cryptocurrency-based payment system that Facebook is planning to debut in 2020 and it is called as GlobalCoin. Indeed, as the name suggest, it would be available globally (well maybe except China, Russia, Iran, North Korea and nations USA is not doing business with) starting with some hand-picked countries. Right now, the team established by Mark to tackle on this project has been communicating with some people involved with regulatory matters to thresh out things so they can start the trial maybe within this year.

With the Facebook empire at the helm and behind the GlobalCoin, people are getting excited and there are now many big investors lining up to be part of the funding circle hoping to snatch part of the estimated $1 billion the project is looking for. With Mark having the Midas touch, investors are thinking that this can be another opportunity of a lifetime. I am not sure though if Facebook will decide to also open the crowdfunding with small investors like in the trending IEOs we have today.

Wow! And of course, there will always be critics of this move by Facebook to join the cryptocurrency craze. There are objecting that what Facebook is getting into is not decentralized and hence can not even be called as genuine cryptocurrency akin to what we see in Bitcoin, Ethereum and the rest of the gang.

Now, considering all of these things and the very big potential of this Facebook project called as GlobalCoin, do you think that soon we can see Mark Zuckerberg not just the emperor of the social media but also the king of cryptocurrency? Or you think that this should be treated just like a normal (though it is very big) project which might also go wrong if the market will not be responding positively? What is your opinion with the foray of Mark into cryptocurrency and will Globalcoin one day be a rival to that of Bitcoin?

i dont think it will become the rival of bitcoin
i know its supported by facebook but the thing is bitcoin is supported by mulitple giant website
you can use bitcoin to pay in different website now almost all the exchange support it as main currency
there also a lot of physical store accepting bitcoin now
even the coin is back up by facebook it cannot become a rival if you can only use it in facebook or few website
but i think it will be good support for adoption for bitcoin but also for crypto
540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MORE TYPES OF BITCOIN SCAMS on: May 24, 2019, 11:22:44 AM
Tips for Respective Bitcoin HOLDERS :

Types of Bitcoin SCAMS :

2) Any one threatening saying they know your secrets and request you for Bitcoins, dont even care just hit the delete button !

3) Anybody calls you and says they are from your exchange and request for access/password,just hangup the call !

4) Whatever stories you hear or told, never let your bitcoins leave your WALLET AT ANY COST !
