541  Other / Meta / Re: Post was deleted from local thread, what is the possible reason? on: October 15, 2023, 02:37:09 PM
I am not sure that’s what happen, I have come across posts that the quoted ones were deleted but the reply remains. The only thing is when the thread it self is deleted then you get affected and you wouldn’t receive a PM. But in his case I think it was personally deleted separately after that of synchronym was deleted, not because synchronym own was deleted only. And that was probably done by the OP of the topic himself
Despairo is actually correct. synchronym's post which was considered off-topic was deleted by the mods and therefore, the individual replies to a deleted off-topic post or reply usually get deleted too, it doesn't matter if the quality of the post was good or not. It's just off-topic. How do I know this? Because, it has happened to me before.

And it's the Mod that deleted the post, not the starter of the thread, who has been offline for almost 2 weeks.

542  Other / Meta / Re: Post was deleted from local thread, what is the possible reason? on: October 15, 2023, 01:40:06 PM
I do not know what could be a possible reason. I guess because of off-topic?
I believe you already know the reason

Our local thread in Bangladesh is a single thread and there are no sub-boards to discuss off-topic things.
But there is off-topic board and you type good English  Wink

Should I create a new thread to discuss these things?
Yes, in the English boards. Your English is OK IMO.
543  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 500.casino csgo500.com $1,500 was confiscated for no reason on: October 15, 2023, 01:17:44 PM
Most often I play outside the home, mainly in cafes or internet clubs.

Perhaps this is why 500 casinos thought so
It's possible. These casinos have automated systems that can link accounts that have logged in using the same device ID, or even IP addresses. Your task now is to urge out that you are not connected to any of the said accounts, if indeed you are innocent.

Perhaps a third party can help out with the mediation process. You could start with casinoguru and askgamblers as suggested.

Reading through your terms of service. I was curious to know what kind of data you collect from your customers and how you handle the data, but then I saw this

545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 14, 2023, 09:59:09 PM
I think this is the right momentum for Arsenal to be able to compete again for the title, Indeed the victory against Manchester City was only one match but this had a big impact on the mentality of the players so that they could be even more enthusiastic about the match.
On the other hand, facing Chelsea at this time will be another challenge even though there are still many who doubt Chelsea now but with their successive wins and the new formation with 3 strikers it makes them a little different and quite worthy of being wary of later.
Sterling's movement on the wing is quite troublesome and it is Arteta's job to find ways to reduce this player so that he is not as comfortable on the field.
All Arsenal has to do is to be consistent. Beating Manchester City would become meaningless if the next few coming game weeks they lost points to other low league sides. This is exactly what happened last season. They started losing points to weaker teams where it mattered most, and before we realized it, Manchester City leapfrogged them and won the title.
We still have a long way to go through the season and a lot of things could happen, especially with player form, how deep the squad is and injuries to different players.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 14, 2023, 09:52:14 PM
Now you see, that's the problem here, Zidane should work with a smaller teams, show his strength and tactics before trying to aim for a big job. A club with already made players that can play to his instructions is all he really needs.
Managing a club with "already made players" is not as easy as you might think. Just look at what's happening at Chelsea or PSG. They have squads most teams would admire to have but at the end of it all, the respective managers fail to deliver.

Quote
Going back to former club? Personally, I feel like the job was too big for him, that was why he rushed with resigning.
Rushing to resign does not mean the job was too big for him. What matters is if he performed or not. I think we will all agree that he did quite well, especially in the UCL.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 14, 2023, 09:29:21 PM
Asides of the reining team of Manchester City i dotn see another team in that level to be a contender for this Champions League, maybe if Real Madrid with Bellingham still in this apce can have a chance, but they need a real number 9 you cant play with Joselu in this level.
You will be shocked then.

Real Madrid are the only team in the Champion's league history to retain back to back champion's league titles. No other team has ever done so, even when they were so strong and unbeatable… Not Pep's prime Barça that won the sextuple, Not Ferguson's Red hot Manchester United or Mourinho's dominant Chelsea, Not Robbens and Frank Ribery's Bayern Munich. There are so many things that could happen, but the chance of Manchester City getting a back to back UCL title are very slim.

Last season it's Midfielders that won Manchester city the matches where it mattered most and not the number 9 who would be silent in most minutes of most matches.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 14, 2023, 08:59:21 PM
If Barcelona keep dropping points against small teams in the league, just as they did against Granada in their last match, they will not stand a chance to compete for the title this season because Real Madrid and Girona are serious, are having a great time, and are consistent, which is what kept them at the top.
Hahaha, Girona? Not a chance. Maybe if it was Atlético Madrid or Sevilla in that place. The small teams always start with fire and then decline as the season goes by. If recall well, last season either Real betis or Getafe started well but by the end of the season, they had dropped a good number of points.

I believe Barcelona will pick up form like they did last season, just that this time round Real Madrid is up for a bigger challenge than last season.

The scammer has a habit of locking his threads as soon as he makes an announcement so that members don't point out that his exchange is a scam in the thread. Some of his account shave been banned already.

Let's paint the accounts red and support the flags, folks.

Are you disregarding the fact that the email in the screenshot is actually a valid bitcointalk account email account? This can be easily checked.
At this point, it does not matter whether the email address is valid or not, the screenshot appears to be doctored if you carefully look at it (Please refer to BITCOIN4X's reply)

And he was also trying to show you that someone can easily alter the details in the screenshot without breaking a sweat.
551  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by LegendaryAccss on: October 12, 2023, 09:53:05 PM
I think BITCOIN4X has told us one thing with a comparison of those two screenshots - but if any of us need something more convincing, ask Google+ to sign the message or perhaps display the account email. I don't need to force him to do that – but maybe he needs to clear his name.
Signing a bitcoin message does not prove on whether, he tried to sell the account or not. It only proves that he is still in control of the account. So if he a ttempted to sell the account and then failed to do so. He can easily sign the message.

Otherwise, the screeshoot seems doctored though the way Google+'s profile lay out appears is different from how most profiles appear including Theymos' simply because his profile contains no Bitcoin address.

There's some history of password changes Google+ has made so far based on bpip - but I don't see him having changed email in the last few months. But since email is private for some users - then I'm not sure we need to require them to post it publicly.
BPIP does not record email address changes.

Also, look what I just did with in a minute and satoshi@gmail.com is not even my email address  Grin

Hey Ratimov, You made a small error on the name of the exchange. It's Exolix and not Evolix. Otherwise, your great job and dedication to keeping this list a live and growing is much appreciated.
553  Other / Meta / Re: Huge site outage! on: October 12, 2023, 11:12:18 AM
My issue is why it constantly occurs and had there been no way of solving it. It's obviously a Ddos attack and it's quite disturbing. Imagine being unable to access the forum for about three hours! Is this the longest or are we going to see more
You probably weren't here just before the forum started using Cloudflare DDoS protection. The outages were far more frequent, and sometimes the forum would load so slow for hours. What happened today was one of a kind in a long time.

However, I have noticed that the frequency of the DDoS attacks seems to be on the increase once again. But this happens to other sites too from time to time and not just Bitcointalk
554  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Any one have experienced before the same problem in p2p not showing currency on: October 12, 2023, 10:48:54 AM
OP, I think the problem is that follow button next to the filter option. It probably means you are trying to view ads from only the traders you follow. There is a high chance that all the traders you follow have not posted any ad yet, thus the empty space. Try to disable it and see if it works
555  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by LegendaryAccss on: October 11, 2023, 09:58:24 PM
OP, I guess now you understand why account sellers can never be trusted, and my DT members tag them at first sight. Big lesson learned and at a cost.
I am interested in seeing why Google+ has to say here. If all is true, I don't think Google+ can be trusted at all. Why would someone want to sell such an old Hero member account for such an amount?
Stupid move in my opinion.
556  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: October 11, 2023, 09:44:55 PM
Anyone here in contact with YoMix? They could potentially save me from being scammed.
Please tell them to look into my support tickets regarding following transaction: 6044896d116b6f23ad218ceac7b2333728b148d6e64f149ddbf00f05bcad7742

thanks
What exactly is the problem here? Tried to deposit on Yomix, but your transaction is likely not going to be confirmed within 24 hours?
If that is the case, then you shouldn't worry. Contact their support (https://[banned mixer]/en/contacts) and state your issue.

Something tells me that your transaction might even get dropped from the mempool. Time wilt tell, anyway.
557  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which does good leadership depends more on? Age, experience or education? on: October 11, 2023, 09:24:20 PM
1. Age - There is a certain age whereby someone can make rational decisions, but being older does not guarantee that one can make wise decision. A good example is a look at countries led by very old leaders. Everything seems to be messed up in such countries.

2. Experience -  Yes it's vital but if someone does not have good leadership qualities, they can use the "experience" to rule the people rather than lead them

3. Education - In the past, we had Kings and monarchs who were uneducated, and yet they would lead their Kingdoms or monarchies quite well.

Or maybe the best thing you can do is get them oriented into Bitcoin, investments, the downsides of investing, risk management and how to keep at the top rather than just "keeping in touch" with them Wink

Humans are not like dogs, you can't keep them on a leash forever.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralization vs. Decentralization on: October 08, 2023, 09:11:29 PM
My question is;  wouldn't you love to have a complete control of your funds?
Are you a child where someone else or a third party has to be in custody of your funds at a fee?
Answer that and you will knoe what my thought is.

Everyone needs decentralization!
560  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Israeli - Palestinian conflict worsen the crisis? on: October 08, 2023, 08:08:18 PM
Nah, the Globe will just be fine. Neither Israel nor Palestine hold a huge chunk of oil or gas resources as compared to the likes of Russia, Saudi Arabia or the UAE. So how exactly is their conflict going to affect the oil or gas prices. The conflict has been on going since before i was born so there's nothing new here. Just same old same.
