Anyway, I can't believe that Nutildah is a Filipino citizen. Hehe. You are really a good poster and contributor of the forum.

I'm actually not a citizen, more just a Permanent Tourist. I'll have to leave the country and get my passport stamped before the end of the year. But thanks anyway. I do like the Philippines and while I'm not sure I'll ever become an official citizen, I plan on spending a lot of time here.
Oh I see! Glad to know that you travel in Philippines. Enjoy your visitation in my country. You know, It's more fun in Philippines 🇵🇭
You can apply for a Dual citizen if you will stay for 10 yrs.

This is the problem that the Philippines encountering right now. If the cases won't stabilize and it still grows, we will force to bring back the lockdown again. The entire Filipino citizens are in trouble specially those who have no more income and depends only in daily wages.

I don't know what is the problem of the Government, first they implemented the Balik Probinsya Program which I think a bad move because the virus may scatter all over the Philippines. In my province, we were back in GCQ because there is a covid positive entered in our Municipality. That is all because of their unplanned Balik Probinsya Program.

And right now, they are pursuing to have a class 2020-2021 without any further preparations between school, teachers, parents and students. Yes, it is good to continue the classes but they should have the so called "equity". But there are many students that can't afford to class because their parents have no work. See this news wherein a student hanged herself because she can't study online: news

But at the end of this, we should still follow every laws, protocols that our government implemented. Wishing also for COVID-19 to end because we are really devastated by this pandemic.

Anyway, I can't believe that Nutildah is a Filipino citizen. Hehe. You are really a good poster and contributor of the forum.

I just want this to share guys.

Taxation

I created that topic last April 2018. But it was given merit a year after I posted that thread, see here.

What I want to emphasize is that even you have a good post or created a useful thread, don`t expect for merit. Because as soon as the users here recognize your post, they will surely look for your previous post. Then if they satisfied with it, merit will come towards after you.

Just don`t cease to learn and help this forum. Don`t be also discourage that your posts are not given merits or never been acknowledge.. Merit is just an incentive for your post but the true reward of it is the knowledge you gained when you exerted an effort in your post.

I'm thinking, if the community helps me to become a hero, to release my bot open source (on github)
You don't need to mention that bro! You are really amazing and having a merit will come to you because you did a nice work. Probably, you will achieve hero rank soon.

BTW, you are all awesome guys! I don't know the technology you are using but I am eager to learn how to create bot using python programming. I don't have background in programming but I am studying it as of now.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: June 16, 2020, 07:32:24 AM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?
LOL.
A bounty hunter really relate on what you have said. There are many numbers in spreadsheets. Your stake, coin and total coins. At first, I thought that having 700K tokens in the spreadsheet will make me rich. But my realization despaired when there is no token sent in my wallet. It is just a display on screen, numbers that you will just put in calculator to count but never be in your hands or even in your wallet.

That is why I stopped in alt campaign because it is just a waste of time. They said that they will give hundred of dollars but until now, I am poor.
548  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin worth so much ? on: June 16, 2020, 05:55:51 AM
Why bitcoin is worthy?

1. Bitcoin is not worthy when it was created, it becomes worthy when people started to use bitcoin as a medium of transaction.
2. It has a scarcity in supply but large in demand. It`s total supply is 21 million that halved the mining for every 4 years.
3. It is the first cryptocurrency invented and it has many supporters/buyers.
4. It`s utility is simple yet helpful. It can`t be hacked or bypass the keys. Using elliptic curve cryptography, private can`t be reversible.
5. It can use to pay, transfer, asset, investment and many more.

if you guys believe that it is worthy only because of it`s price, we should bear in our mind that it is worthy because of its utility and security that gives to every individual that holds BTC.

Snip...

Aside from having 10 unique quality post that he merited. He should also try to clean his name with this accusation:

Danydee ban "appeal" - Please permaban

It isn't good to see a merit source applicant to have an issue regarding with the abuse in the forum. If you clarify the issue that made by other user on that thread, I think Theymos will give you a chance to be a merit source. But for now, I think it is not good for you to apply even you are a good analyzer of a quality post.

Welcome to bitcointalk.org forum! Hope that you will not be triggered by rules or merit and think that it is hard to rank up. Since everything that you ask was answered correctly. Let me just give you some references so that you can start reading about cryptocurrency.

[RESOURCES] Free bitcoin/blockchain/finance eBook. - Posted by Maus0728

If you just want to master bitcoin and learn about in internet, those books are worth to read. Actually, I am currently reading Mastering Bitcoin because I never saw any book related in crypto and finance before. I just based my knowledge on what I have read in google and forum. But because of his post, I am able to learn more in crypto space.

Another thing, just post whenever you just want to ask (but please be substantial and relevant to crypto and forum). Don't worry, we never laugh a newbie here but instead we push you to go beyond your limits!
552  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Birthday theymos on: June 15, 2020, 02:32:58 PM
Thanks!

If he really is only 29 then that's pretty amazing
Happy Birthday, almost 30. Enjoy life before you start falling apart.

As I get older, I'm increasingly thankful that I found Bitcoin at a very young age when I was full of both energy and a reckless/adventurous spirit, which really let me make the most of it. Even though I often look back and cringe at how much of an idiot I was back then in many ways, if I'd been 29 in 2010, probably I would've achieved much less, in large part just because I wouldn't have been so filled with wonder at everything. I encourage young people to go out and constructively participate in interesting real-world things; you'll make mistakes, but that's the best way to learn.
Thank you for inspiring us! I thought that Theymos is really an old guy. But it seems like everybody was shocked and amazed when we saw your age.
Happy birthday! I am also a young crypto aspirant because I started to work and know this forum when I was 18. And I really surprised that in your young age, you are already an Administrator of this forum. You are really a prodigy!

Just like Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Ma and other popular, Theymos must be in a line!

555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 14, 2020, 10:19:04 PM
Their decision for reopening of casinos today is for the sake of the economy and the jobs of thousands of people. Basically, if we resist to lock ourselves down, the country will not be productive and the economy will fall. If we will implement strict sanitation, we might somehow lessen the spread of the virus, but the best response to this case is to stay at home and utilize alternatives such as gambling online and watching TV. Though the fun isn't the same, we should acknowledge our situation and do the best way we can to lessen physical interaction.

When the vaccine is out in public, I'm pretty sure we can go back to the lives we have before.
In my country, there is also a plan to have an alternative betting in lottery through online. The PCSO or Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office is planning to make an online bet in lottery here is the link. It is good for us to avoid exposing of ourselves. It may also reduce the risk of bettors who are falling in line just to bet their lucky numbers.

This is the advantage of having a technology in our era. We can utilize everything even there is a pandemic that occurs in our planet through the use of Internet. However, not all times we can use it. It is more fun also to other gambler to play in physical casino than online.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest Crypto on: June 14, 2020, 01:14:08 PM
I am really thinking about investing over $15000 of my savings into Bitcoin. Would this be wise? Is BTC safe and stable at this point and this time?

I will just return the question to you, Do you afford to wait? Believe me or not, a lot of traders are rekt because of bitcoin. Therefore, don't assume to make profits easily because you will deposit a lot of money. Besides it may lost once you enter the peak.

Trading is different from investing. In trading, you can earn more but the risk is too high. Investing is low income but you have low risk as well. If you want to make profits in trading, study it very well.

One more thing, don't pour all of your capital in only one coin because if it suffers the downtrend, you cannot easily return back all of your capital.

So, let me ask again, are you willing to wait? Because for me, bitcoin is for long term period.
557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Feedback system is not ONLY for DT member on: June 14, 2020, 11:11:05 AM
Not to mention the rule in this forum. Psychologically speaking, there are many factors why a certain user is posting in scam accusation and waiting for DT members to send feedback than sending the potential scammers directly.

1. Ignorance of trust flags - I know that many of us here are still don't know the real use of trust flags because they don't read this link: Trust Flags

2. Validity - For them, a certain accusation is more validity and solid if the DT members are the one that will send feedback.

3. Fear of mistake - whether you say it or not, but there are users are still fear to send feedback because they might have a mistake in sending or accusation. No one shouldn't fear of it, specially if there is a STRONG evidence provided.

4. Don't want to be involved - though it is rarely to happen, I think there are some of us still don't want to involve in drama's. Specially if there account will become subjected also in scam.

5. For everyone's awareness - if you notify a DT member to put a negative trust on that user/coin/exchange. Probably it will make a scene and the good thing of that, it will also make an awareness for everyone to stay away from shit scammers in this industry.

No matter what is the reason, we should respect them. They are free to make a thread and wait for DT members since searching for scammers are difficult to find. Let us just be thankful that they shared it in the community.
558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO In Crypto; How to identify It on: June 14, 2020, 10:37:15 AM
How will you identify if there is a FOMO event in market:

Simply, the movement of the coin you are following is unusual. If there is a large volume of buyers and the price is pushing upward. Probably, there is FOMO event. Maybe, a person or group is trying to pump out the coin by sharing/promoting the coin with their followers.

Now, if you were too late to catch the scene. Forget about that coin and search for new one. I don't believe that you can still make profits when it reached the top. One of the best example of FOMO was bitcoin ATH. If you were the person to buy the highest price and won't sell it, you lose a lot. And until now, your capital is burning.
559  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (newbies) don't invest in a crypt-coin just because you like them only on: June 14, 2020, 12:01:59 AM
Snip.

What a sad fate to you OP. But then, it might be a lesson not for you but for everyone to avoid supporting/buying coin because you like or it sounds good. We should ve careful in selecting coins that we will invest.

You should not invest just because of:

1. The telegram of coin is active and have a lot of members - We all know that it can be a bot or paid shillers.
2. Whitepaper - it is only written, if there is no MVP it won't give you an assurance that it will be developed.
3. ico rating sites - there are many fake ICO rating sites and some of them rates the coin that pays them. Therefore, there is no genuine about their ratings because it is paid of fake.
4. Your friend told you that it is a good coin - don't trust anyone with your investment. Hear and accept their suggestion if it is good but if you think that it might ruin your capital, avoid investing because of their words.

All of us should not invest only because we see that others are taking profit. We don't know if it real or not. We have to conduct research, study the coin and it's potential to boom. We are given a knowledge, we must use it always.
