what I am finding really frustrating is all the retail, and institutional money that will only ever flow into bitcoin and will never, ever touch any altcoins.

Surely out of the 2000+ altcoins, some of these will be almost as powerful as bitcoin.
The altcoins have been smashed of late, purely by the greed of bitcoin, sucking up the global fiat money.

Your statement is only shows that you are a newbie in this industry. Whales are converting their tokens if they notice the fluctuation of bitcoin. We knew that we were just passed the transitional period of bear season. And the first thing that whales will buy is bitcoin because bitcoin declares the movement of all cryptocurrency. I come across different posts and allegations that bounty hunters are dumpers and they make projects lose it value upon exchange listing. But from my experience with bounties most projects don't offer bounty allocation of more than 5% of the total token sold. So how will 5% dump have a huge effect on the remaining 95% price. And what about projects that don't have bounties but still dump hard on the exchange, is it bounty hunters too?
The bitter truth is that most projects dump because of the ridiculous number of bonuses the team have offered during the tokensale and pre-sale period. Imagine giving investors 70% bonus for their investments, they can decide to sell everything off and be happy with the 70% profit.
It is not the only reason why people blame ICO project. Let us say they listed the token and went dumped, the problem is why the token dumped? They don't have development and product at all. You said is favorable with developers who did not care about their investors. What happens to the investors who bought the token thrice the price they listed in exchange? Probably, they lost a lot. In order to have a good feedback under ICO,, they should also protect their investors from loss. |

IEO is already starting to get less attraction from the community. Everyone see that it doesn't works as it should be from the start. Even some projects are moving away from approach. I like ICO more that IEO, this way project has control of all the token amount without sharing it with exchanges.
The major problem with IEO is that it seems like few big whales can get in during that period. Small-time investors don't have the chance to participate because they are sold out in few minutes especially in top exchanges. So we don't know what is really going on, if there is manipulation within their system or what? In this case, some investors are going away because of the disappointment they got from those experiences. Despite the popularity of IEO right now, many small investors are quiting them. The problem of IEO is that the token sale is too much low compared to the tokens held by dev and management. In short, there is only limited time frame to buy the tokens from exchange. And since whales want to manipulate the project, they buy big bucks of coin so that they can sell when it listed already. Another thing is that, there are ICO projects that turned into IEO which have slower price than public sale. I have been disappointed also on what happening with IEO right now. |

There are many people claiming about the works of Satoshi Nakamoto. In fact, Craig Wright is one of the most controversial person that claims the name Satoshi Nakamoto. Definitely we can tell that there are games to which we played always as it will gain us more wins than losing. I have been to gambling in different games but I am now sticking to a certain game to which I love to play and at the same time I always win.
Poker is the game that I usually play. I do not know that every time I am guessing the next cards or my luck will always let met the right decision. I do sometimes call huge amount but these could be rarely will going to happen only when I have good cards held regardless of the cards drawn. My strategy is very simple to call when bet is low and then pass all the times when cards are not good.

I can't really say it is a strategy but, whenever I have the lowest hand, or the number two on my hand I immediately fold. I don't like number two. Is that what you called a strategy? Just like you, usually I will drop a bad card and leave a few good cards at the end so give me big chance to win. I guess not. Gambling always was and always will be. I dare to say it's one of the human innate properties (combination of greed and fun) ... the diference is some can controll it but some can't. It's pretty good adrenalin/fun and I have nothing agains people who can afford it but borrowing money just to gamble them is really bad approach (as you said it's kind of illness/drug and serious cases should definitely be treated). My personal opinion is such people are not very smart (or well educated) thus we can't expect them to fully consider the consequences (they realize it when it's too late). You can only stop playing gambling if you have no money r change your lifestyle. But once you are addict and you cannot control your emotional and mental, your probably lead into addiction. We don`t anymore refuse to say that playing games might not lead to disorder because anything that is too much can harm us. Gambling can be stopped but not by all people.
