Base diff reset this morning, GPU missed it Base difficulty of Cheetahcoin reset to very low diff level (maybe 1?) this morning. My GPU solo mining totally missed it. But gekko newpack on two rotating nodes pulled in 2.76 million CHTA so far on this reset. Now the diff = 1k

Android Phone Dual Mining Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin 24 hours Report
Same 4 core Android phone with UserLand App mining both Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin together simultaneously. Results: Cheetahcoin: 230,000 CHTA Nengcoin: 40,000 NENG
The phone was not on 24 hours mining. Actually it was used for several hours without mining. But still one day mining result was decent on dual mining.
Both blockchain 24 hours comments:
Cheetahcoin had 140 Th/s big ASIC mining for a short period and then left. For most of day, Cheetahcoin mining was dominated by CPU solo miners. At some point of day, the domination of CPU mining was 95% and close to 100% at base diff of 1 million, and later at 600k.
Nengcoin blockchain entered into stable phase where the base difficulty has been up or down between 10 and 14. The CPU miners rewards on NENG has been around 20% of total rewards in recent days.

Android Phone Dual Mining Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin 2 Day Report
Past 48 hours dual mining Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin in same 4 core android phone with UserLand app. Dual mining NENG/CHTA works because Cheetah_Cpuminer for most of times do nothing other than observing the Nengcoin or Cheetahcoin blockchain. In case of heavy CPU usage for mining, when NENG is mining most likely CHTA is idle, when CHTA is mining using up CPU resources, NENG is most likely idle also. Only on rare cases when both NENG/CHTA would split the usage of CPU resource mining at same time. Dual mining both would therefore double the reward.
Results: Cheetahcoin: 400,000 CHTA Nengcoin: 60,000 NENG
For now, android phone mobile mining is more profitable on Cheetahcoin side rather than Nengcoin side for past 2 days.

Base Difficulty Adjustment Engineering Design on NENGHere is good Q&A in discord on this issue: SefiaToday at 7:19 AM Thanks May I know what are the pros and cons to have a daily difficulty adjustment vs a 2 week difficulty adjustment since bitcoin is 2016 block (which is 2 weeks) vs if lets say 144 blocks (daily) honglu69Today at 1:10 PM @Sefia This is very good question. This is really about engineering design of NENG on base difficulty adjustment period. Nengcoin continues tradition of bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin on this issue. In general, the faster the block time, the quicker you want difficulty adjustment, the slower the block time, you want longer period for difficulty adjustment. Here are current some stats on bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin: bitcoin adjust base difficulty every 2 weeks and litecoin adjust every 4 days. Dogecoin adjust base difficulty every 1 day. Nengcoin is closer to dogecoin, therefore adjust base difficulty for 1 day target or every 1440 blocks. In reality, the NENG block average time was 2x faster than desired targeted time. So in average in real life, NENG really adjusted difficulty every half day historically. Another consideration of this is for good ASIC miners retention issue. randomSpike has collateral damage for good ASIC miners when a spike block is mined in that for 1 day or 2, 100% of block rewards go to CPU miners and this poses a huge risk to good ASIC miners who provide security and protection on the NENG blockchain. I would say good ASIC miners are those rigs that mine NENG 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing security for block fee payment in exchange. If the difficulty adjustment period is too long, then this spike penalty would be too high to piss off those good ASIC miners. That would not be good. Good ASIC miners can continue mining NENG even if 1 day or 2 days is nothing after spike, some days after reset will be huge reward, some days on spike block mined is nothing, they tend to average out. This consideration also means that block adjustment period can not be too long in order to entice those good ASIC miners not to leave NENG mining.

CPU Mining Boom Now
Latest read on blockchain, 14 out of 20 blocks are diff=1 , only 6 out of 20 are at diff = 1.02 million. CPU gets 70% of block reward, ASIC get 30% now. Block time looks normal, no sign of big CPU timestamp attack here( fixed on v1.6.x )
ASIC are giving up or leaving, now block reward shift toward CPU miners. CPU solo miners on Cheetah_cpuminer now dominates this coin CHTA Just checked mining pool stats page, ASICs left. yesterday there were 50 Th/s hashrate , tons of ASIC rigs on CHTA, now only 11 Th/s. ASICs left. Probably reset will come very soon
Gekko solo miners, get ready, make sure you put in your solo miner setup (single node or two rotating node), be ready for the next big reward. Now is boom for CPU miners, after CPU mining boom, the next boom is GPU or gekko solo miner boom.

Dear scrypt.ovh pool operator,
I noticed that I mined some dead blocks of Nengcoin on your pool yesterday. I think now your pool is good now syncing to latest block to the NENG block chain.
It is not a big deal for this issue for now. Just let you be aware of the issues on NENG of your pool yesterday and this may impact future profit of your pool if this happens again.
Also ping me in discord if you are in NENG discord so that I can assign you "pool operator" status in NENG discord channel.
Best regards,
Dev of Nengcoin & Cheetahcoin

Having an issue getting this to sync on Windows. I get to block 22000 or so and it just stops. Win 10, 64 bit I have other coins on there with no problem. None of them are running at the moment so I know it's not the PC. The linux box is fine, syncs all the way through but it's console only no gui which is a pain.
Any thoughts?
-Dave
Should not be issue for syncing. You can try to add more add-node IPs for conf file. Checkout the live-node board of discord to get more nodes for syncing.

Base diff reset hours ealier, boom for GPU/USB ASIC solo miners
Base diff reset to really low level hours ago. Probably too late for GPU, but it still boom for solo USB ASIC miners on NENG.

Android Phone Dual Mining NENG/CHTA Report 24 hours of mining in my 4 core old android phone, dual mining both Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin together. The cheetah_cpuminer flag are same for both in separate screen session of UserLand app linux terminal: python --interval 10 --cpu 6
The phone has 8 cpu thread.
24 hours dual mining results: Nengcoin: 30,000 NENG Cheetahcoin: 60,000 CHTA
The reward is down. Is it because of more competition or because yesterday Cheetahcoin had big reset? Not sure why.

Benchmark on Gekko NewPac on two rotating nodes Two rotating nodes method is just my guessed best method from the Nengcoin and Moonlander2 experience. Still early in learning randomSpike on SHA256 on this coin. No evidence that two rotating nodes is significantly better than single full node.
I think in theory, yes, two rotating full nodes should be better. But this is just a theory only so far on CHTA.
Just for the record so that other single full node miners can compare to two rotating methods on gekko miner. I think each reset for my gekko means millions of CHTA.
The main competitor to Gekko on two rotating nodes on reset is other gekko newpac solo miners and GPU solo miner. big ASIC in pool actually was not that much of competitor. As I mentioned, on reset first few hours, 15 Th/s to 30 Th/s was not doing better than my 1 gekko newpac on two rotating nodes.
Checked my record, 58 hours of mining, 1.6 million from TTBIT solo mining before it broke. So I mined 7 million CHTA on gekko solo mining on two rotating nodes in 2 and half days include 2 resets or 700 blocks total

The android mining part is what makes me feel worse about this miner, are you trying to tell us that this miner can work on an android phone using it's CPU without burning the phone up or shorting it's life span? Can you tell me more about this?
It will not. This miner is very unique, very different from other miners. The more story telling here is that the two coins it support are unique, one of kind, crypto innovation. Nengcoin is scrypt coin, Cheetahcoin is SHA256. In both coins, ASIC rigs (scrypt or SHA256) gets 80% to 90% of rewards, CPU miners (in computer or android phones) with this miner get 10% to 20% of total rewards. GPU is not competitive, can not compete with ASIC, can not compete with CPU either. So you see, this is not same as typical CPU miners. Not a typical coins either. In fact, for most of the time, this miner does nothing, just observe the NENG or CHTA block chain movement. It runs like a hunting Cheetah in Africa Safari. It hides from Lions, does nothing, no actions. It jumps into mining when ASICs are stuck, not able to mine. In other word, this miner mainly profit from failure or short fall of ASIC miners. I skip the details here, you can check out both coins of their Ann page for details. The profit gets doubled if the same phone mining both coins simultaneously at same time. In terms of CPU usage, this miner uses much less CPU resource compared to Monero. I tried and I do not believe an old android phone can mine Monero with decent rewards. This is different, actually 4 core android phone mining both coins in dual mining mode can get more rewards than a dual core old PC. I mine on my phone daily, not getting any over-heat issue so far. Of course, when I use my android phone, I do not mine, save the battery. Mine only when your phone is idle. You are not supposed to mine on your phone when you use it for daily routine.

Android Dual Mining NENG/CHTA 2 Day Report Mined 48 hours dual mining both Nengcoin (NENG) and Cheetahcoin (CHTA) in the same phone.4 core old android phone. 8 cpu threads under Userland app linux. Results: Nengcoin: 130,000 NENG or 13 blocks in two days Cheetahcoin: 190,000 CHTA or 19 blocks in two days
Again, android phone mining performance on CHTA is better than NENG.

Best Practice for Gekkoscience NewPac USB ASIC on solo mining modeLinux scripts provided for best practice of USB ASIC on mining Cheetahcoin (CHTA). https://github.com/ShorelineCrypto/GekkoscienceNewpac_SoloMiner- Two wallets running scripts.
- mining scripts for rotating on two full nodes.
- Two configuration files for "cheetahcoin.conf" in two different folders for the two full nodes.
Benefit of Solo Mining on Two Rotating Full Nodes of Cheetahcoin- Cheetahcoin (CHTA) has randomSpike on top of SHA256 to restrict ASICs. It frequently resets to low diff around 1.
- Newpac on rotating two full nodes in solo mining mode can obain big rewards when CHTA is on reset to low diff
- On high diff, USB ASIC solo miners are known to be able to mine into cheetah diff where only CPU miners usually mine.
- Two rotating full nodes can provide solo pool stability compared to single node only solo mining.
WarningShorelineCrypto Exchange has anti-mining policy against using exchange CHTA wallet address for direct mining. For this setup, do not use exchange address as mining receiving address. In stead use your own CHTA private wallet address for this setup.
