Good time to exercise caution.

Trust and Communication – The Keys to Successful Teams

Today, with business competition, customer expectations, new technology, and many other developments, it is more critical than ever to build teamwork in your organization. The many challenges that your organization faces, the more critical it becomes that teamwork is effective. The key elements to successful teamwork are trust, communication and effective leadership; a focus on common goals with a collective responsibility for success (or failure). However, without trust and communication the team will have difficulty functioning effectively.

The whole process of organizational teamwork must begin with a company leadership team that creates a business strategy and a focus on the critical goals of the enterprise. Next there is the process of communicating the vision, values and mission of the organization to a team, or teams that will be responsible for planning and executing the mission and building trust in the teams and within the teams to carry out their assigned responsibilities. Marketing plans, as well as other operational plans, will succeed only with team-based planning and execution.

Five Key Elements to Managing Teams

As explained by Patrick Lencioni in “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team”, senior executives, middle management and assigned team leaders, must foster and expect that team member activities include the following characteristics:

1. Trust among team members
Building trust takes time. If trust is lacking it must be the responsibility of the team leader to focus first on building trust, i.e. getting team members to open up (among the team) and expose their weaknesses and fears to each other. In some cases, a team building exercise can be utilized. In certain business cases, due to time pressures, the leader may have to take responsibility for building trust or change the team to achieve the necessary level of trust for team success. Until everyone is willing to trust the other members of the team, progress towards team success will be limited.

2. Prepare to engage in debate around ideas.
Disagreements can lead to conflict, but conflict can be good. If ideas are not presented and debated, the team will miss opportunities to find the best solutions to problems. Respect for the thoughts and ideas of the other team members will be developed through healthy debate.

3. Learn to commit to decisions and plans of action.
Team results will only come about as a result of team commitment to team decisions, this includes agreeing on the specifics of action plans. If some team members are not consistent with their commitments, the team will not succeed.

4. Hold one another accountable against their plans.
Team members must be prepared to check among themselves to assure progress and overcome obstacles to progress. Ad hoc meetings may be necessary to coordinate actions between departments or groups to assure progress.

5. Focus on achieving collective results.
The vision and/or mission of the team must be accepted by all the team members and critical goals viewed as the collective responsibility of the team. If a return to profitability is a critical goal of an executive team, priorities and time commitments must be pulled from elsewhere. Focusing on results that in any way does not support the critical goal(s) of the team will lead to team failure.

Mr. Lencioni’s diagnosis is helpful in understanding team dynamics. Yet, a straight forward prescription for building successful teams is to A. Build attitudes of trust among team members, B. Communicate openly among team members, and C. Focus on common goals that are related to a clear purpose. The purpose, of course, must be based on the business vision, values and mission of the company or, at the very least, the specific mission assigned the team by company management.

Well, I think you know me and what I think. I don't agree with radical algo changes, and less so when talking about PoS, but let's see where Max's research takes him before jumping to conclusions. One thing I'll promise is that even though we might not agree, you can always trust me to tell you exactly what I think. Wink

Is there any active wallet that works? Just curious. Couple of the coins Polo delisted deserved it. Seems like nothing has happened for years based on chats and in terms of active development. Websites are dead, wallet not active, developers not around etc. Can someone store these coins off an exchange and does the wallet actually work?

The answer to your questions: yes and yes.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMG] MAGI | CPU mining | mPoW | mPoS | [MagiPay] on: April 20, 2017, 08:51:22 PM
That's the issue. The issue is the damage suffered by Poloniex's customers. Their customers' best interests were not protected, rather it looks more like they were raped by the exchange itself.

All this looks indeed like something premeditated. Since the release of the new wallet the price was growing steadily and suddenly *boom*: the announcement it's going to be delisted and (I don't want to debate it was before the announcement or after) the huge dump.
What I want to say is that not only Poloniex customers were affected. The shock wave have hit all the exchanges (and I guess that the quicker ones made some easy money buying @ Polo and selling on all the other exchanges).

The coin is good, there's active development on it, so with or without Poloniex the coin has still a great potential.
But also I think that instead of searching who's guilty for what we should indeed act and try to keep the coin at Poloniex, since this gives people more trust in the coin.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but then they go and say you're right and re-list and the price goes back up to where it was and panic sellers from before now ask themselves who made all the money on the recovery rally.

 - suddenly *boom*: the announcement it's going to be delisted : the huge dump : re-list : huge rally

Customers get f_€ked at every turn.

And now they've painted you into a damned if you do and damned if you don't corner.

This shit can't go unchecked!

Time to stock a few more coins ?

I'd say so. According to the theory, now is when smart bulls buy. There's tons of support down here - check out the last chart in my initial presentation for that. Below is a cleaned up chart with only the fib lines. Right down smack into the 50%. Very technical trading. The short was broken and this big long is holding . . . so far. Good luck.

what happened?  my friend told me some good news about XMG will release a few days ago. and now ......
 Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

Maybe the reason is the average volume of last 4 months were very small, which caused this delist. Accept or not, this is the reality.

The main point isn't whether the decision was correct or not, or whether we agree or not, rather the issue is with how the decision was implemented.

major pumps + late night announcement + crashes in all the affected coins

That's the issue. The issue is the damage suffered by Poloniex's customers. Their customers' best interests were not protected, rather it looks more like they were raped by the exchange itself. Without a doubt, that is what things look like on the surface, and this needs to be documented and followed up on to either confirm or debunk that supposition.

(BTW, almost as an aside since this has to do with the decision itself, what about FLO, GRC, NAV, NEOS, NMC, OMNI, RADS, VRC for example? Their volume seems as low as or even lower than some of the de-listed coins. Nevertheless, this is anecdotal, since the real issue is the damaged suffered as a result of how Poloniex handled the implementation.)
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - 8% PoS | 1Yr+ | MARKETPLACE | PAY | GIFT | CHARITIES/MERCHANTS on: April 20, 2017, 09:45:45 AM

This reeks of manipulation. The pump and dump exchange just made it official. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Even if it costs more! Just too much for an honest man to take! What will be next? A faked hack and huge loss of customers' funds? I'm not sticking around to find out. Goodbye Poloniex. May you rot in hell.

All the delisted coins were pumped 500/1000% in the last month. Is obvious what poloniex is doing, playing with the users coins making all the people to buy coins at 300/400% and dropping the huge stacks on peoples face.

And that kind of activity will eventually ruin all of crypto if not addressed. We need to ban together and at least document what's happened to the best of our abilities. At least document very well all the facts surrounding the case - and then we can go from there - but the initial documentation, if only for information purposes, has got to be done, IMHO.

Lot's of people have already expressed similar opinions. Thank you for joining in too. As I said, I think we need to ban together, and we'll need all the support we can get.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - 8% PoS | 1Yr+ | MARKETPLACE | PAY | GIFT | CHARITIES/MERCHANTS on: April 20, 2017, 09:27:26 AM
FWIW at the moment, PoloniEx guesstimated wallet still holds more than 1 billion NOBL, and the guesstimation is an under-estimation.

PoloniEx "guesstimated" balance history shows only a very minor dip, only very few NOBL appear to have been withdrawn so far.

Have you looked at the other coins that were de-listed?

It would be interesting to see as the timing of the de-listing casts a dark shadow over Poloniex: major pumps (in all but 1) + late night de-listing + crashes in all the coins previously pumped. It looks extremely suspicious, and what's certain is that the implementation of the decision (the decision itself can be argued positive or negative, but that has nothing to do with how the implementation was carried out) did nothing to protect the interests of Poloniex's customers, but in fact caused them great financial harm. The next question is WHO benefited? These questions need to be addressed and answers given to the victims.

Perhaps a separate thread would be a good idea. What do you think? Starting with the balances of the Poloniex wallets for all the coins de-listed?

Do they plan to keep what isn't claimed? Now that would be adding insult to injury!

Don't worry guys, I got ya, syncing now  Smiley

Awesome. Thank you!

And they're good!

I've been trading on Cryptopia for a while (small size, making a market, providing a little liquidity) and I'm very happy with them. Their support is very responsive as well. My rating: Good exchange with a ton of coins and almost just as many pairs that should only get better.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 20, 2017, 08:30:43 AM
Will DASH go under $50 I thought I could never go down this low that I thought of buying when I saw the price dip to 80$.  I'm not familiar with what happened lately that causes this fall but will it go up to a hundred a gain? because I'm going to ride along this time.
There is no crystal ball, so no one can tell what the future will bring. Sorry to be honest with you.
DASH can go to <..... put your wish number here .....>.
Remember when bitcoin was $0.05 / each ? Or when it was $9 / each ?

No crystal ball, you're right, and no "experts" with secret gnosis either, but there are probabilities on something happening or not.

Has anyone taken a look at the two websites I mentioned yesterday with tons of educational articles about technical analysis?

Free yourselves from being simple followers and begin to educate yourselves so you can make your own well informed decisions (and not just about price action).

It's Monday and I've got real work to do, so I'll leave you with this update from something I posted yesterday (that had too many lines for some folks,  Cheesy)

. . . and the stink bids I have left don't require my attention. ;-)

Add: Look at how .043 has already been recovered. MasterSchmuck must be passed out on the floor by now. He's got so turned upside down that I can't even imagine how much money he's lost. Hey pal, what goes around comes around - this time what you always do to your followers has happened to you. How does it feel?

Schmuck.

Hello, a trader-wannabe here (ignore my rank, I am a late bloomer). Will learn on how to educate myself... later, aftet I sort this out.

So in short, the price will recover, right? Or is it time to do that damned cutloss?

I would say .075 - .08 is probable, but I wouldn't even begin to venture on a time frame just now. A retest of the lows is more likely first.

Cheers

@Miiike - With BTC outperforming on a relative basis, I would "convert" those target figures I mentioned on the 3rd into their equivalent USD numbers from the time, i.e., 75-80 USD, and start looking at the cash chart for an exit (which, in all likelihood, has already seen its high within the range).

Good luck, and best regards

also, where can people short DGB?

I only trade on bittrex and don't see anything like that there, I heard polo has margin, is it polo?

thanks again

To be honest I don't know the answer to either of your questions. I've never been interested in doing either in crypto. Way too dangerous. Crypto is way too manipulated. I only buy what I think makes a good long term investment and I only sell long positions when I think long term gains can be brought forward and realized today instead of sometime in the future (that being said, I have been playing around "making a market" in one coin on a smaller exchange, but nothing serious). But from what I understand, Poloniex, you know, that highly manipulative exchange with the troll box on the right of it main exchange window, has margin trading and also lends coins that can be shorted. As I said, the risk is extreme, not just with the markets themselves, but also with the people/exchange you'd be dealing with, and I DON'T RECOMMEND it. What I'm sharing here is for short term fun and perhaps a little more long term gain.

Talking about that short term fun and long term gain, we did gain some insight into short interest in DGB last night when 103 was broken: it was almost anticlimactic, a non-event, so to speak, which either shows that there is next to zero short interest, or zero (if it is the case that DGB can't be shorted in the first place . . . as I said, I don't know . . . someone would have to check with Poloniex). That aside, for the long side of things, the 2 hour chart long from 82 was confirmed on that break. (edit: on closer inspection, it looks like 104 was sold into, not too heavily, but, well, lets say with a little gusto - the rejection was visable on the 5 minute chart . . . a blip on the long term chart though.) Next target 128-130.  Grin

Edit: out of curiosity I clicked on the Margin Trading tab (like I said, I was never interested before, so why go there?) and it looks like there is a very reduced number of coins that can be traded on margin . . . and I imagine that it'll be the same list for shortables as well.

BTW, if you want to get a sense for how much short interest there is in DGB, watch the break of 103 (if we get it). That's where there will be covering, and the momentum on the break should give some insight into current short interest. Not that it really matters to most of us, but it is fun to watch and be aware of anyway . . . and as long as I'm going off with all of this, why not mention it too? Wink

Having a lot of fun with this, but don't be afraid to let me know you're tired of it if you are.  Wink

I see the history in the chart, just wondering how you come up with the prediction?  Do you make your own algorithms? Is there a general pattern with crypto?  Or, is there a general pattern with specific coins?

I'm a bit of a math/comp-sci guy, so it's pretty interesting, but I'm having trouble relating the numbers to the potential future...excuse my lack of experience Smiley

There's really nothing too it. Literally. It's a very small set of something like if/else statements based on Fibonacci numbers, so small in fact, that the majority are on the presentation I posted a couple of pages back. So small that anyone can do it with the simpliest tools, but so powerful that very complicated programs have been written for automated trading, what are known as "trading algorithms" and "programed trading". Those programs are really designed for the timeline more than anything though, as their reason for being is to do the most calculations as fast as possible at the most micro level possible (time and spread). But a "program" isn't necessary for the everyday John Doe. Have a close look at that presentation, and the couple of other things I've said since, and you'll have 90% of it. (And if you're really itching to learn more, http://eminiaddict.com/ is the place to start . . . and finish - Halsey is the authority.)

Yes, worked without a problem.

Bought some cheap XMG today and i am looking for another exchange, too.

Magi is still my favourite investment.

Hi there, xmg community.  Smiley
Thanks McCoyn thats nice to hear.
Cryptopia & Nova exchange are nice and there is always Bittrex.

I do business with both Bittrex and Cryptopia. I have nothing but positive things to say about both. A lot less volume on Cryptopia, but if you're patient and don't buy/sell large amounts, it's worth supporting . . . because it also takes support from our side, and little by little everyone helps build volume and rewards a job well done . . . which they're doing.  Smiley

Check out the time stamps and compare with the Poloniex twitter announcement. Who shorted just before the announcement, and how much did they make?

They did the same with NOBL - big pump, then dump and delisting.

Posted there too (along with various tweets in reply to the Poloniex announcement).

This is criminal, and there are no cops on the beat. People are asking questions (the "who shorted" wasn't of my creation) and this kind of thing can't continue to go on. Granted, this isn't as big as others, but the list seems to go on and on . . . and maybe we just need to give Poloniex a little more time to reach the heights of scamming greatness. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=576337.0

It's sickening really, and the good, legitimate coins have got to start doing something about it.

You guys are just unlucky, poloniex is the best exchange and never involves in any insider trading. Don't complain this, you guys gamble with small alts, so don't cry. You should know poloniex usually delists altcoins in 3 or 4 months.

And you're a deadbeat asshole. That's basically what I called you before, and I won't waste any more time putting it into no uncertain terms that is impossible for someone with your intel.ect to rebut. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=576337.msg18652480#msg18652480

You don't even get that the more you say, the more evident you make everything I say about you.

How to fix this ??

In your digibyte.conf file change the rpcallowip=192.168.1.* to either rpcallowip=192.168.1.0/24 or rpcallowip=192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

Where is located digibyte.conf file Huh

If I remember correctly, off the top of my head, if you're on Linux, look in ~/.digibyte and if you're using Windows, look in %APPDATA%\DigiByte (or C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\DigiByte)

Where can I see how much hashrate is on each algorithm within the entire network?

https://www.miners-pool.eu/ has the live hashrates for groestl, skein, and qubit.

http://www.whattomine.com has them all, but period averaged.

They're all derived from the network difficulty to mine which can be taken directly from the core wallet.

In all cases you'll need to add them up and then appropriately adjust (1 GHs sha-256 = 1 MHs scrypt, for example) in order to get a "global" figure for the entire network.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

BTW, the stop loss on the 15 minute chart "extension" is 87 SAT. Crypto has a strong tendency to break these "red line" levels, technically breaking the trade, and then continuing after shaking people out (we see lots more of 76.4 level stuff in crypto - more indicative of speculative and emotional markets than stable markets). It's very common. With as healthy as I see DGB, I wouldn't be banking on too much of that on the longer term time frames - so don't hold your breath - but on the 15 minute, perhaps the odds are much better that those stops at 87 SAT get "run" . . . and that would be exactly what would take price down into 82 SAT where you'll get filled on the 2 hour time frame (longer term).  Grin

Have fun learning, and good investing to you (because, when it's all said and done, I'm not suggesting you become traders, just that you become better long term investors by improving your entry points).

Nice work. Thank you very much for taking the time to share with us your charts analyzes, trading knowledge and advices. Smiley We should all value that.

My pleasure. Glad you liked it.

Sure man, great write up, loved it!

Glad to hear it!

Here's the current setup. (Remember, like I said, it works both ways, long and short.) There is a short setup on the 30 minute time frame at 99 that still hasn't traded. The stop loss on that short would be 103. More importantly, if 103 is broken to the upside, that would CONFIRM the long off of 82 (the last buy/entry point for bulls) with a conservative target of 128 SAT.

It's a neat little system that I like a lot.  Smiley

Bittrex has much better charting tools than Poloniex by the way.  Grin

With last night's delistings of several coins recently pumped on their exchange, and their subsequent crashes, is Poloniex giving us early warning signs that they are looking to get on this list?

Poloniex did delist altcoins in 3-4 months from 2015, it is not a new case. For recent pump on small and shit altcoins, sorry for your loss. You gambled with small alts, so be strong. Don't cry.

Your assumption only demonstrates your ignorance and/or bias. I lost zero. First, don't project your stupidity on others, and secondly, try being less of a psychopath and a little more considerate of your fellow human beings, because somebody did lose, and I'll bet you're at least smart enough to know that it wasn't Poloniex, aren't you? Smart guy. People like you are part of the problem. If you can't see the prima facie evidence, i.e. major pumps + late night announcement to delist + crashes across the board on the coins in question, then you are either stupid or a crook.

Care to respond again?

If what you try to use as a smoke and mirror argument to justify their actions has any validity at all, please explain the timing and handling. Oh, right, you're going to tell me they have their customers' best interests in mind?

Again, I'd say people like you are laughable if it wasn't such a serious problem.

Care to trying coming in again and trying that out with a different attitude this time? Or are my initial impressions about you correct?
