today I downloaded the latest V6.14.2 Digisync + Segwit Windows 64-bit core wallet. received the following message:

Error: A fatal internal error occurred, see debug.lig for details.

How do I get to the "debug.log" and is this so fatal that I've lost My 1M+ DGB? B/C if I have then I give upup on.

Sorry for noob question. But is the segwit activated already?
Or we need to wait for next period?

We just started a new Started period so you could pretty much take the information quoted below as though it had been written yesterday.

We just released v6.14.2 which fixes the wallet loading delay where a wallet might take 20+ minutes to open (should open within a minute or two):

Download here:

https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/releases/tag/v6.14.2

Current Segwit activation can be tracked here: https://segwit.digiexplorer.info/

The soft fork progresses through 4 phases:
    THRESHOLD_DEFINED,
    THRESHOLD_STARTED,
    THRESHOLD_LOCKED_IN,
    THRESHOLD_ACTIVE,
    THRESHOLD_FAILED,

Earliest we might see locked in is about 12 days from now.

Threshold = 70%
Period = 1 week

(1 week for Started, 1 week for Locked In & 1 week for active.. this is 2 weeks for each for LTC & BTC)

Found the Groestl miners address they are mining too https://digiexplorer.info/address/DLPgKoaJA6VAREBBzgWvkcncbtj7PB3JKr

Over 114 million DigiBytes mined. Considering we only have about 5.1 million new DGB per day, this guy has probably been a loyal DGB miner for a year or more. Probably has just not heard of the update yet. Don't think they are intentionally trying to stop us. Let's keep getting the update word out!
so this guy brings my faith back to multi algo coins! i always thought.. "5 algos = 5 different ports on one multipool" ( high centralization, dumping coins for btc ). if he knows that he sits on a vlaue of ~ 70 btc now? Smiley

Yes, that's right. Succinctly explained (better than I could) on the website:

Quote
You can mine DigiByte on one of five separate mining algorithms. Each algo averages out to mine 20% of new blocks. This allows for much greater decentralization than other blockchains. In order for an attacker to hardfork DigiByte the attacker would need to control 93% of the hashrate on 1 algo, and 51% of the other 4 making DigiByte much more secure against PoW attacks than other blockchains.  http://digibyte.co/digibyte-blockchain-faqs

Also here on the OP (although the print is so small that it's understandable that you could have missed it - an issue I've already raised):

@DigiByte

Would it be possible to get another algo by algo percentage breakdown on SegWit signalling from you?

TIA

We should easily break the 2 years high soon with all the SEGWIT action.

We will see in the next week or so after SEGWIT activation. I sold some coins on the rise but I am still holding most of them because I am sure someday DGB can go 10X from here.

Just researched this project and found it has massive potential from a investor standpoint. Digibyte itself has a great path and i think it will capture it's intended audience without any issues whatsoever. The new wallet 4.13 looks sharp and the "Headers for Synchronization" will be welcomed, and it is one of the most complained about process for new users.

do you have a digibyte.conf set up? Looks like you maybe using rpcallowip=* or something similar.

In your digibyte.conf file change the rpcallowip=192.168.1.* to either rpcallowip=192.168.1.0/24 or rpcallowip=192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

Just researched this project and found it has massive potential from a investor standpoint. Digibyte itself has a great path and i think it will capture it's intended audience without any issues whatsoever.

I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised with just how solid DigiByte is and the amazing potential it has.

It is just about the only crypto that has not only held to the true ethos of what cryptocurrencies originally set out to be by being both truly widely distributed and cryptographically secure, but it has also leveraged that 5 times through its multi-algo approach.

All things considered, I dare say there is nobody who is better.

"You can mine DigiByte on one of five separate mining algorithms. Each algo averages out to mine 20% of new blocks. This allows for much greater decentralization than other blockchains. In order for an attacker to hardfork DigiByte the attacker would need to control 93% of the hashrate on 1 algo, and 51% of the other 4 making DigiByte much more secure against PoW attacks than other blockchains."  http://digibyte.co/digibyte-blockchain-faqs

As for the Dev Team and contributors, we've got one of the best talent pools in the business, and, again, I reiterate what I said above, without funny money coding that some call "innovation" that can lead to Ethereum like hacks or who knows what other nasty surprises that will come out of the current fad of DAO mumbo jumbo. DigiByte is rock solid secure with Bitcoin style programming multiplied by 5 thanks to these world class Devs. Take a look at GitHub and compare with your favorite coin. https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte   Grin

And it's "lightening fast" already even before implementing Lighting Network. Current full confirm time is ~90 seconds! And without losing one bit of security! Now that's something to write home about, and if you haven't done so, I suggest you do so ASAP.  Wink

And I'll leave it at that for now since it's Monday and I've got to get moving.

Cheers to all newcomers. You've made the right decision. And to all the long term supporters, thanks for being around all this time, and for continuing the "why DGB is better list" just started above.  Smiley
