541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $20 again on: August 05, 2015, 12:28:26 AM
Just found this thread and seems like it's a good time to bump it again. Let's learn our lesson here. farting_shot will be OP in the future, including the account being abandoned to not face the shame.
542  Economy / Speculation / Re: 8600 btc being offered up for sale at $5.25 on: August 05, 2015, 12:27:23 AM
Lol, I love all those pumps from old threads. It really puts things into perspective doesn't it. This one is one of my favourites

How much of an idiot this guy must look like by now? feels bad for him Sad
What's a worse feeling than not being there? Being there and realizing your sold a fortune for peanuts year later.
543  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will you celebrate when we surpass Berkshite Hathaway Class A shares? on: August 05, 2015, 12:19:14 AM
You must be a bulltard.

It will never happen.

I'd rather own a Berkshire Hathaway Class A share than a crash-prone bitcoin.

You will unfortunately kill yourself if you are really a beartard and not a FUDtard trolling that's actually holding. BTC all time graph in the next decades:

Sorry, evolution can't be stopped. This is 21th's century BRK-A and your opportunity to hold 1 and more than one share is going to slip throught your fingers. Not everyone can win so thanks.
544  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am short... on: August 04, 2015, 12:33:35 AM
You've had several opportunities now to get your ass back in the game and hold. Hope you learned the lesson: You can't outsmart the sharks and whales, so buy and hold long term, sell when you have a decent profit and think it will go down to buy back.
545  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin will appreciate forever on: August 04, 2015, 12:28:51 AM
What happened?

Bitcoin went up forever happened:

Now it's time for a slow uptrend since it will not go under the mean. This is math.
546  Economy / Economics / Re: First Greece...who next? on: August 04, 2015, 12:03:35 AM
Puerto Rico just default, is everyone in here sleeping or what?

And then:

Cant wait to see what happens with the stock market tomorrow.
547  Economy / Economics / Re: Mobile Payments: Moving Towards a Trillion Dollar Industry on: August 03, 2015, 11:48:00 PM
Since I don't want to be tracked by the CIA, I don't have a smartphone. I use cash for all my payments on the move and I like it. I have a paypal account, several cards, and several wallets, including one on blockchain.info for easy access when I'm traveling. Frankly I do not like the idea of paying with a phone, or unlocking a car, as I've read recently that it's planned. What I hate about phones is that you can't be anonymous using one. I prefer to use cash, or to take the time to go a fast food, switch on my computer, and make a transaction on blockchain.info via Tor.

Well get used to it, cash will dissapear in then next to 20 years. Also what kind of transactions you do with Tor? if the transaction has your name attached to it Tor is pretty useless, so you can't really buy anything with Tor since you need to give your address to recieve the package etc.
548  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece is going DOWN on: August 03, 2015, 11:09:41 PM
Check the news. Puerto Rico already down, much bigger than Greece. Greece will meet the same fate, it's not about if but about when, and will be sooner than we think.
549  Economy / Economics / It's happening: Puerto Rico just defaulted for the first time on: August 03, 2015, 10:53:34 PM
http://money.cnn.com/2015/08/03/investing/puerto-rico-default/

Damn, I can't believe this is happening so close, it's unbeliable but it was unavoidable. 58 million of unplayable fee. I really hope these guys don't get all of their money stolen. Only if we were in 2025 they could have had a chance with Bitcoin we are still on the very early days.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin: It's the next natural step on: August 03, 2015, 10:50:44 PM

Really cool and simple pic that sums it all perfect. I love stuff like this, anyone could understand this and get the point without being very bright. Post some more stuff like this if you got some.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi describing the essence of Cryptonote in 2010 on: August 03, 2015, 10:47:49 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto could be anyone, you just came up with that out of nowhere I assume, since you said so without delivering any proof.
In any case, i wouldn't be surprised in satoshi contributed to cryptonote anonymously.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 03, 2015, 10:42:13 PM
Not really, what prevent us going mainstream is simply that people is unaware of Bitcoin. It's actually good that there isn't a sudden spike of newbies using Bitcoin, im not sure if we are ready to sustain x10 the transaction amount now but thats not the main case, the thing is most people are completely unaware on BTC yet.
553  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: August 03, 2015, 10:38:13 PM
Seems like a positive idea, even tho people will keep selling accounts at whatever price they want because its relative. Hero accounts usually go for 1 BTC, they are really valuable. I have no idea how much people are asking for Legendary.
554  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Retirement Account on: July 27, 2015, 10:25:17 PM
You can already get paid in BTC and have the account frozen until X time passes.
I think it's best to just learn how to control yourself and play a bit with the price when you feel like we are at an obvious bubble, so you can sell and buy back cheaper.
It's the only way to make it, just waiting will not cut it unless you already got tons of BTC.
555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pattern Recognition 101 on: July 27, 2015, 09:50:40 PM
Actually pretty good catch, but remember that past performance doesnt translate into future performance, even tho future bubbles with increasingly higher floors are unavoidable with Bitcoin. A question of 2+2=4. It's destiny that we keep hitting 2k, 3k, 4k... until about year 2100.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lucy Liu is into bitcoin on: July 27, 2015, 09:10:59 PM
oh my goodness that was awesome.
We need more women and more media stars to bring bitcoin to the mainstream and make it more popullar.
Now lucy Liu and Mike Tyson who would be the next?
Iam waiting for good news about artist or famous people using bitcoin Smiley

I couldn't victory with Mike Tyson until I see Mike Tyson himself being interested in BTC and talking about it in a video, otherwise its a PR thing and rumors point to a scam unfortunately.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin: The Scam that Was {Video} on: July 27, 2015, 09:09:23 PM
Hey guys, I've been working really hard on making this video and getting the research for it. It is an overview of what happened to paycoin and why it was doomed to fail. Hope you enjoy.

Video: https://youtu.be/41FqW4dfagE

Good effort, but you are not a nice girl so I closed after 12 seconds. Sorry dude.
Next time try to insert some animated scheme or something... just to break watch you with that terrible red shirt  Cheesy

If you want nice girls go watch some porn. This guy does a good job at bringing bitcoin news, he was one of the first videos mentioning the blocksize thing. I agree tho that he needs to put some fullscreen relevant graphics if hes going to do a 20 min long video.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Creation of more powerful Hardwares Could destroy Bitcoin ? on: July 27, 2015, 09:06:46 PM
Intel is preparing something, something pretty powerful from what i've read. There's definitely millions being invested right now into hasing technology to become the leaders of the Bitcoin mining network. It will be hard work overtaking the chinese but I think US and EUR will get on it soon.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The status of Bitcoin information in the World on: July 27, 2015, 09:01:52 PM
Banks are jumping onto the technology, and a couple weeks ago I had an exchange with a guy on Disqus, he was comparing Bitcoin to a ponzi... and insisted... until I posted some info from Forbes and IBT he wouldn't believe me, and in the end he didn't even answer.

http://www.coindesk.com/8-banking-giants-bitcoin-blockchain/

I guess that in the next 2/3 years there will be a huge number of people that will feel soooooo stupid. And I'm not talking about Bitcoin adopters!  Grin

The doubters will indeed look like morons once they realize they missed the boat of a lifetime. If they aren't in yet, simply put, they don't deserve to profit from Bitcoin, so dont waste energy trying to convert them into believers, so focus on yourself and keep stacking cheap BTC.
560  Economy / Speculation / Re: Proof Greek Citizens Have Recently Been Researching Bitcoin on: July 24, 2015, 01:53:21 AM
But did they buy any bitcoins?  If I was in Greece, I would take my money from the bank and turn the extra money into btc.  I wonder how many actually did this?  Were you able to find numbers on this?
There is a big step from browsing it to actually owning some, but think about it, how much did it took for you from the first time you google bitcoin to the first time you actually bought some and used it? it takes time. Browsing bitcoin and researching is the seed that gets things started.
