why a bounty...there's a trial going on
Not for his TRUE crimes, and justice will not be served...the force is strong with Darth Karp. But perhaps stronger with me........Darth Dickus how do you know the judges are not doing their work? i have faith in Japanese Jurisdiction. The judges dont give a shit about bitcoin crimes... mainly because they dont even know what the hell bitcoin is. They are so out of the loop with technology. Plus bitcoin wasnt even regulated at any level back then.

well, Bitcoin will fork into two coins and the number of Bitcoins will be doubled. Gavincoin is not Bitcoin. No consensus on hardfork = end of the party There will be no "Gavincoin" A fork cant happen without consensus.

So much negativity.
ù hum.. i think a long long long stagnant period... it would was... did you remeber Japan??? on 1990 the nikkey225 was near 40000... in the last years, japan index touch 8000 more times!!!! It is ridiculous to claim that japan suffered as a result of deflation. During the period of their supposed suffering, their economy has grown to become one of the strongest in the world, second only to the U.S., and only recently third behind China. Deflation hurts the wealthiest people more than everybody else. The bankers and their lapdog economists claim that deflation must be avoided at all costs only in order to preserve their wealth at the expense of everyone else. As someone who's been traveling to Japan for the last 15 years. I can safely say you are full of shit. The Japanese don't 'suffer' but they are definitely not livin large. They are just as stressed out about economy as anyone else. My colleagues are all on a real tight budget paycheck to paycheck. They have cheap mortgages but thats about all. No one in the world is living it large except the 1%. I dont get this naive notion of some nation existing where most people live a semi luxurious life. Most people are struggling and being able to pay holidays is a luxury these days.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real world use of BTC

I think the core problem currently is that most employers dont know the vast advantages of payment to employees with bitcoin. We currently have an information problem. The current media isnt interested in reporting stories on BTC for various reasons, and the few times that they do have a story its usually negative in nature.
This will all change with time IMHO, i just wish the change will happen sooner rather than later...
I personally dont think its too far fetched to have great deal amount of people being paid, at least a portion of their salaries in crypto in the near future.
You are assuming the employees would like to be paid in bitcoin. Probably they find it odd to be paid in a currency thats so volatile and it's not attractive for them so they'd rather get paid with fiat.

Where is that english translation coming from? Because in the original german written source Gruebel said Bitcoin will MAYBE hold it's value. That is an important word missing in cryptocoinnews english translation. I'm pro Bitcoin but translations shoud be done correctly.
I dont know, there are some weird expressions there, it may be google translator for all i know.

Bitcoin will not take over (meaning it will replace fiat currency). At best, it will grow to the solid alternative payment system (or commodity, if you prefer).
I think bitcoin and fiat will co-exist, but bitcoin will engulf all the credit card payments.

Happens to the best of us man.. Everyone gets screwed at one point or another This is a big problem, like it has been said before, everytime you lose bitcoins potentially the person will not risk it again... with fiat usally theres SOMETHING that can be done, with btc if the robber is smart there is no damn way to get him.

Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Address Question

if thats the case, why do ppl have their bitcoin address on their profile such as for donations etc. So they change it every single time they receive even 1 donation? That wouldnt make any sense.
Using the same address for collecting payments AND STORAGE is a big NO. Why would you store a large amount of btc in one address knowing that it is prone to attacks and hacks because it is online when you can transfer it to a new address and keep it in a cold storage (offline wallets or paper wallets)? It's not that you can't use the same address for every transactions. It's just that you might want to reduce the risk of the vulnerability of your coins against hackers and thieves. Indeed. Ideally you want to keep addresses separated, even use a different address each single time.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin really need Google?

Google is a big mafia and decide what and what isn't moraly correct. Example, they let that idiot PerezHilton do whatever he wants and still get millions of adsense, but then if you use a single picture that happens to be copyrighted or is of "lewd" content (the entire perezhilton website is of lewd content) then they can cancel your adsense account for life without giving any particular explaination. Motherfuckers.
