1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fork off on: January 28, 2015, 01:07:19 AM
I like this little guy! He has some leadership skills on him too. Grin

Sometimes I wonder, what would this place be if there were some sort of minimal intelligence check...

We would end up in a perfect world with "designer babies" and then... Gattaca! Cheesy

We need to get Einsteins DNA and mix it with Satoshi, create a baby that will create a new coin that fixes every single problem with BTC
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elephants in the room, both good and bad on: January 28, 2015, 12:56:50 AM
It looks so weird seeing that, how come pc trend is going down? i guess smartphones are taking over.
Well im sure in the future most smartphones will be able to run a bitcoin node.
1103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BurtW arrested on: January 28, 2015, 12:53:56 AM
Most of the time they just drop random raids to scare people away from using the service, in this case LocalBitcoins. They'll keep doing random ass raids for no reason, just to scare people lol.
1104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: January 26, 2015, 11:11:06 PM
Missed the Bitcoin boom?  Huh

Your revenge on BTCitcoin is here!

Monster networkers and Major bankers are investing in what is described in mainstream news in China and other countries as the best investment since the launch of Bitcoin!

This totally legal worldwide crypto currency is projected to skyrocket like Bitcoin and the more the merrier because for those who would like to share this revolutionary opportunity (which is optional) membership comes with a generous binary compensation plan enhancing it's popularity.

Not to mention that this is back by Aurum Gold.

We have mined 60,000 coins successfully. Mining opens for public today

Jesus H Christ, for Father Satoshi, what is this? could you at least have the decency of creating a new thread for your alt coin? Your first message is posting here lol.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: January 26, 2015, 11:09:41 PM
MAID after the current bubble crashes. Why? because in the long term it will be the new internet, totally decentralized, its the real deal and the original project (even older than Bitcoin).
MAID and BTC are the true long term winners. Just dont buy just yet, i suspect the price is inflated.
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Communist Bitshares Wealth Redistribution IS THEFT! on: January 26, 2015, 11:08:20 PM
Thats a funny picture. What do you think of Vitalik? Is he a trusteable individual or not? I was considering on dropping some BTC in the Ethereum IPO but eventully chickened out given so many damn IPO scams.

1108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto wanted to collect his keys, how would he do it? on: January 26, 2015, 11:01:03 PM
If you don't own your private keys, it means they are not your bitcoin and you did a big mistake. But technically, leaving your Bitcoin in a exchange deposit is giving them your private keys tho..
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BurtW arrested on: January 26, 2015, 10:59:15 PM
So I guess to buy some satoshis off a local fellow off LocalBitcoin in person you need to first hop over SR and buy some military grade bulletproof vests lol.
1110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead! RIP 1/25/15 on: January 26, 2015, 10:40:43 PM
Bitcoin was a prototype. It was never intended to be used on the massive scale that it is today, admitatly still small. The price volitilaty is because of traders treating bitcoin like a stock; buying and selling.
And tell me, how do you avoid a crypto currency to not be freely sold and bought without ridiculous regulations that miss the initial point of freedom?
1111  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS threatens to kill 2 Japanese hostages unless Tokyo pays $200 million on: January 25, 2015, 07:09:32 PM
I think there is still one of the two guys alive, did they really kill both now? Damn these fucking bastards need to get nuked so badly.
1112  Other / Off-topic / Re: if you found won a $100,000 in BTC from sweepstakes how would you spend it? on: January 25, 2015, 06:40:35 PM
I will buy 100,000 worth of peercoin. I believe ppc will replace bitcoin in the future.

Why do you believe it will take over? I think peercoin will do well but I don't think anything in the near future will overtake bitcoin.

yeah you're right

you should buy dog coins instead

Much better to put it all in Luckybit, all in to the red.
1113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction 2015 ฿ on: January 25, 2015, 06:33:44 PM
Well right now my guts tell me we're heading for a bubble topping out at about $4000! Then going back to $2000, and dipping into the $1000s at the beginning of next year. But it's just a feeling Smiley

but what would cause the bubble?

Without new things I can't see prices going beyond past performance
Until now we've only had geeks coming into the bitcoin game. With the first bitcoin nasdaq being opened thanks to the Winkleboss brothers we will see actual wall street money coming in. Alll these loaded sharks put together make more money than the whales.
1114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready for incoming crashes on: January 25, 2015, 06:30:16 PM
The crashes already over
Now bitcoin price already at $250

We will see more rise for a while Smiley
But bitcoin before the price rise up more guys

still far away from uit's glory price, another crash could be expected at a slightly higher price, than the current one
There will always be consistent downward pressure on bitcoin.  Big Miners have bills to pay and need to sell regardless of price.  They'll sit on what they can while they can afford to.

The current situation is a clear example of problems the bitcoin network will face in the future. Miners only continue to operate when it’s profitable. Bitcoin value will always be tied to operating costs of people, equipment, facilities & energy.
Not always, once big old money comes thanks to initiatives like the Gemini exchange by the Winklevii we'll see a bigger demand than offer which will translate in an uptrend.
1115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Delusional bulls be Like... on: January 25, 2015, 06:28:03 PM
It can't go on forever, can it? At some point there will be a true trend-reversal, and it's merely a question of recognizing that reversal. I admit it's a very difficult thing, but one of those times you're wrong by calling it a mere bull-trap!
Bitcoin is objectively going to survive, the blockchain has 100% chances os being here in 10 years, now Bitcoin, I (and Andreas agrees) has 90% to be the currency that survives, with a 10% of another currency taking over.

So it's all a game of guessing when the uptrend happens. Of course there are morons that say "its crashing its crashing" and eventually are right, same for the opposite. All these "its crashing" guys will be gone once the uptrend sets. When another crash happens, they will come back as the wizards of the market that predicted it.
1116  Economy / Speculation / Re: NYSE invests in bitcoin ecosystem on: January 25, 2015, 06:13:54 PM
I also think it's a very good thing to get a lot of FIAT into the actual backbone and infrastructure of Bitcoin and not only into the currency itself. Sure, it's tempting to see millions of USD flowing into BTC, but the ecosystem needs to sustain and justify the high prices, as well!

it is good if you know what you are doing and have good capital. Otherwise you might do bad stuff or get scammed and lose all your money.

For people that don't understand the technicals buy BTC might be better

Exactly it means people have faith in the big companies behind bitcoin (The companies help to give it value imo)

Bitcoin is not a religion (though it seems to be for a lot of folks around here).

So what, having faith is a valid word outside religious context. We have faith in Bitcoin in the sense of we think thinks will turn out good for it given evidence (aka, all other alternatives are crap and Bitcoin is the original and has all the network power effect).

Some people even have faith in "Technical" Analysis.

You better have faith in the bets you put because there is always a lot of luck involved. Pray some to St Satoshi.

1118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which is more likely? Weekend Dip or Weekend Recovery? on: January 25, 2015, 05:34:33 PM
A nice pump going on with LTC, maybe boosted by the Coinbase lunar hype? will BTC follow? Im not sure what to do. I think I will roll a dice.
1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: BECOME A MILLIONAIRE OPEN PROJECT: Turn 100$ into a true life. on: January 25, 2015, 05:27:18 PM
LTC gained 50%+ value in a day.

I thought someone that claims to be able to turn 100 into 1M by playing altcoins would predict such move

Yeah it was clear that LTC would explode some day, but it looked too risky for me.

By the way, sell now bitcoins at 245$ or cry later. HERE starts the way to  -150$.

If you want to make it big you should take these big risks, and buying LTC was an obvious big risk with big reward.
I didnt do it myself, because I admit I dont have a crystal ball and going to 0 was a possibility at that point.
This means nothing tho. If anyone is up on LTC i would sell already past 50% profit, trend is still DOWN.
1120  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or stockmarket? on: January 25, 2015, 05:24:21 PM
The fastest way is Stockmarket, you can earn good profit without big risk
Bitcoin is too dangerous, especially with price stability

How do you earn "good profit without big risk" in the stockmarket? tell us what do you specifically? That sounds like a joke to me.
