well if you have other bigger partitions you can play with mklink short guide for usage: make anywhere on other disc a full move of the coin you are going to change the data map this ofcourse prevents you from loosing your precious in my case i move the map onto my network drive (nas) so the map on c:\blah blah blah must be gone for this to work then use this command where you replace the "USERNAME" with the one you actually have to do this you need to start a cmd as administrator in win 7 and higher you can do that by pressing windows key+X and select admin prompt there mklink /J C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin H:\Bitcoin << here the place you want it you can do this with any coin you have for instance i moved my namecoin to my nas on H: mklink /J C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Namecoin H:\NMC there i had put my moved the namecoin files into and ofcourse made also for security reasons another copy of the wallet.dat elsewhere Now comes my problem with i0coin up till now all worked fine but all of a sudden the i0coin client refused to open the old wallet So i went looking for a newer version of the program and found it Then i started this newer version to find it refuses to open the old wallet, now on itself something worth nothing is not that bad yet But if the coin gets some tiny value it would be nice if i could get it into the new version When i open the old program it crashes and whines about a T-fork and thats it no opening or checks simple poof gone This gave me another problem as well since i had made a new name on the bitparking to get these coins and ofcourse with that failing address Does anyone know how i can get these coins to be merged back into the new or are they lost forever like many other coins

@bronan
It's already not really great deal. If You bought 10 USB with price 1BTC and now get 10 with 0,135 You pay 11,35 for 20Erupters plus double shipping costs (if I understand everything corectly) From shop right now You can buy it and pay 8.38BTC (0,419/pcs) and only one shipping costs will be charged. If You bought 50 ... calculate it Yourself.
@yxt - my order is still on-hold (#343). Still waiting on answer via mail about costs.
i know i did the math i saw a post from bfl had send a huge amount of big 500Gh miners out and a few days later diff went up like a rocket again i did not buy so much in total but the calculator gave me again ROI is NEVVA we all gonna get a hard time getting ROI ever since the ones who where lucky to get the fast devices have got their coins and got ROI. Our bad luck is the rapid increase of hashpower by released hardware in a super fast pace. The 50 Gh are now 500 Gh ones while the previous ordered where not even delivered BTC will be a rich mans game soon, those who made a fortune on the old coins and got millions to spare

well i am loosing big time on the BE i bought And still nothing about promo sticks soon they can give them for free and will not make any profit since they won't earn enough to pay the electra bill Allready the pool i am on took several 150m + blocks in a row Which makes the earning a day about 0,004 btc

lol I admit tux has some advantages but also has many disadvantages If i would not have to cope with 5 ladies using winblows software like *cough* ms office *cough* and if games really would run smooth and instant on tux, like they do on winblows i would instant switch over. This far non of the game industry is willing and able to port their games over to linux. So i guess thats not gonna happen anytime soon, and i expect that not to happen for at least 10 decades.

You have to be a bit patient they have to wait for shipments from asicminer to get items in stock Because we buy more then they expected and now sadly see that prices dropped to half or more for that what we payed for. I bought them for over 1 btc and at 0.60 and now they dropped near half of that price

Well i allways loved cgminer but i switched simply because the other just runs without doing any zadig crap. It probably depends also on which version of windows your running in my case windows 8 pro x64.
You say : install zadig once and all work....... The hell it does not
It will not install on all usb devices. You have to freaking add all by hand every freaking device
It simply not install any other then that one device you did, in my case each and every block erupter YES all 12
True after that .. it works flawless with this zadig, unless you want to use a different hardware with it ... like bfl jalapeno
Because indeed i could not get the freaking jala to work with or without zadig at all, cgminer simply refused to find that thing. Even though it was clearly visible as a FTDI device in windows
And last but not least to get the zadig crap out your kinda busy as well, the only simple solution is delete each and every usb driver which was used with zadig and keep deleting them till the libusb driver is back instead of winusb. It really turned out to be nastier then i expected, even now some ports still got the winusb installed after several attempts to get rid of them. I have not found one simple solution to remove that winusb driver yet. The libusb which the zadig tool puts in IS not the one which works flawless with bfgminer

No, I believe you cannot use the same userid, therefore you don't need to and you can't.
You must create a new userid.
can I take the same addresses with the new userid? Yes, you can use the same addresses with multiple accounts. Well i can not get it to work Somehow some coins not show up while the other new do, so its a mess if i mine on the new i do not see btc being mined and not see any shares being added Its sad that its not possible to just add a new coin on the same userid, this would have made it much simpler and less trouble.

it will not run on windows at all you should not even bother trying guess its only for the tux geeks
|
|
|
It depends on how much funds i can free up at short notice

Well i agree on this gpu is not earning anything worthwhile anymore, unless you live in the cheap electra zones " 0.5 to 0.12 cts per kwh ". The alt.coins absolutely not pay back my electra costs, even though litecoin is a good and fun coin its value spoils my fun. But to be honest how can i make a profit with 0.252 E which is about $ 0.31 per kwh So yes i can get some coins with the 1600 kh/s the 4 7970 can do but i am sure its all costing money instead of earn anything. Unless these coins jump soon in price towards a respectable value, which i do not think will happen anytime soon. I bought about 15 B.E and they hash away nicely yes they cost a bit but they need only a small usb fan to cool them But this temp is not nearly as much as my ati rig which cranks up the room temp with all doors and windows open to an amazing 43 C My wife yelled if there was a fire somewhere its so super hot in the house , which has costed me an hour to explain what the blazing gpu's was doing And ofcourse had to kill the miner to make her finally calm down and loose the enormous heat, but the absolute logic of my woman made me realise its time to get rid of these gpu's and buy a single new model for gaming without the lagging

Well i am not sure but i ordered a few weeks back an anker 10 slot usb hub from english reseller It took them almost 17 days to deliver to me I could have done it in like 1 day, and i would have had a fun day with that as well Have no clue why sometimes it takes 1 to 3 days or that it seems that thing travelled the whole world For instance i send a letter last month to chile which took 5 days but the previous one is still not arrived after 11 years. When i bought sticks from menig it took more then 9 days to arrive dhl tracked postage. Yxt send me a package not sure when, but it arrived sooner then i expected xD I was allready preparing myself to ask Yxt when and if he was going to send me the items soon. Just before i could post my question i heard someone ringing at the door and there it was

Yxt you made my day its like a late birthday gift The sticks arrived in a very handy small package. After some fiddling with the nasty winusb drivers again the package is mining. This far all seem to work perfect and to be honest this new ones look even better then the old So thank you for the quick delivery and the excellent service. I am very pleased sir, yes i am.

They do work in either usb 2.0 or usb 3.0 ports and they do work with cgminer and bfgminer however cgminer needs you to change the driver into winusb for each and every stick you push in the hub with zadig a warning though if you changed the driver it can be a pain to get it back onto the old driver, i found that out myself the hard way

Well i think yxt mean by that those 1000 are send to large group buyers who had sold them to other people like me.
So when they arive at those persons and you bought from them you can order the amount they sold you by those persons. I think the deal is that these persons contact you for that amount of sticks and after you paid them you get them.
to be honest my experience with such group buys are ok as long as nothing happens or goes wrong.
If you are unlucky you might end up like me having to almost beg for someone to answer and/or solve the issue
So now almost 5 weeks later its finally in the end fase because yxt jumped in and took over the rma request.
At present i am awaiting 2 usb erupter replacement sticks and since i had some extra cash ordered a few extra from yxt to make up the losses. I am a small miner so sending the items back costs postage and the loss of mining early while the diffculty rises like mad.
I still feel played with on this issue regardless what some people say or think, i probably will not participate in another group buy anytime soon unless i do that group buy myself.
Anyway hopefully sooner then later i see the postal service deliver the items at my door.

Anyone else all of a sudden start having their ESET or other virus program start flagging BFG? Was alwasy good, never had a problem before (but cgminer would get picked up). Now here within the last week or so ESET is flagging BFG.
IMO, "antivirus" software that takes the easy way out by flagging commonly abused software as more than merely a warning, is itself malware. They should be looking for the virus/trojan itself, not the common software they use.
Sadly i found many other private clients from being infected by a bfgminer/cgminer/minerd instance Hidden in a self starting proces called adobe, so it looks some botnet builders are using the miner to run them illegal These unknowing customers have no clue that its not normal that their gpu is blazing like mad so they complain and ofcourse some specialist find that its caused by the secretly installed miners. If this is done by people they know or by botnet owners or usage of illegal software i do not know. Ofcourse some of them report their findings to the av companies, and to be honest even though its annoying they are right But fact is that this causes all anti virus makers to flag the miners as nasty software.

How do i get the announced promo sticks ??
I want to receive the 5 i seem to be able to buy ?
Its impossible to order these at other resellers from this usb sticks, so if you bought them from x or y your stuck at buying them from that person. I know i tried to get them from several resellers, all of them send you to the previous seller.
Btw mister betaman2k your wrong with some of your asumptions look at the american resellers they ask 0,45 btc for each usb stick and i am sure as hell sure they still make an nice profit.
The european buyer seem to pay the grand price again compared to usa and chinese sales.
Do not get me wrong but even though i can't read the chinese posts people have translated them and showed on several places there might be a further change coming pretty soon.
What that might be is not known it might be even news about newer chips being released, who knows may tell.
