Well done. Verification rules are the way to build solid community and while it may take longer we will benefit from lower fraud in the long run

It all started like this 5870 = free beer
And we just ordered parts for our second rig. This mining stuff is addictive.
Also told few of my relatives about bitcoin. After little time researching, they bought some. Unfortunately, in EU for non-technical people there's little to spend bitcoins on, but I believe this to be temporary.

OK. So, you would defend your life only for the reason of self-preservation?

Are there other lives you would defend, and if so, for what reason?

Would you defend another life if the loss of that life was no threat to you?

I would defend any life that is in my self-interest to defend. Some examples: I would defend myself for self-preservation, I would defend my daughter's life because she is my favorite person, and my dog's life because she is my second favorite person. I would defend my neighbors life because that would mean that they might do the same for me and we have a higher chance of survival if we help each other. I would defend Gavin Andresen's life because I want bitcoin development to continue smoothly. Finally I would defend Quentin Tarantino's life just because I really like his movies and would feel like I owe him that much.

So if you recognize that people live in packs/societies and would defend each other and that you would not want to experience violence yourself, what is this argument about again?

What do you mean I didn't? My answer to the question why shouldn't he murder and rape while thinking he can get away with it is: It all ends in tears eventually. The rest is my personal view towards such members of society.

What if I get away with it, every single time? Saying it's not ok, doesn't matters.

We are all free to choose whatever path we consider best. Good luck

I've seen a lot of people like you. It all ends in tears eventually. It is very unfortunate and saddens me deeply that few exceptions inspire millions of people to become cunts

You couldn't answer the question so you resort to a personal attack. Try again.

Why should humans follow this concept of non-aggression principle? Why should we follow a rule of ethic that prohibit murder, rape, and so on?

Because if you murder and rape others, you are implicitly stating that that such behavior is acceptable. Therefore you have no argument when others rape and murder you. Do you want to be raped and murdered?

He can get away with it  Cheesy

Don't do to others what you don't want done to you

Why should I follow that rule? What if I can get away with it?

"He was really a nice guy," Brian Gore's ex-girlfriend, Sandy, told WTKR 3 News in Norfolk. "He went to church and everything."

Does going to church really make people seem more trustworthy, or only among other church-goers?

People with a common imaginary friend tend to trust each other

80 bits is considered safe. 20 characters of letters+numbers make it 20*6=120 bits, an overkill (even if the attacker knows how many bits there are exactly).
That's what I thought, but, hey, apparently I'm a dummy for revealing this personal data on a public forum.

I'm not talking about your math. The statement above is absurd to anyone working in IT security. What you don't seem to understand is that you revealed a piece of personal information. If I'm an adversary and put enough such pieces together I'll have your password.
This case is an exception and I'm glad op will get his money back, but this case is a very good example of extremely poor security practices.
Lets say bitcoin exploded in value - it's on major TV channels, shops are popping up everywhere accepting it and it adds several zeros to what the value is today. Do you still think op's employees would be so trustworthy then?
It's the same with you. If bitcoin suddenly increased in value, it may be worth spending years trying to figure out your password and by searching this forum and finding out it's >20 long, someone would have a good starting point. Then they can probably safely assume that it is not a random sequence because you would not be able to remember it. They would then go and read your other posts, to see how you think, what word do you use and so on.
And the same goes to vuce's comment "80 bit is considered safe". Safe for what? Kids trying to acces your folder at home? a script kiddie? a skilled programmer? a government agency?

The current system isn't that great at punishing criminal sociopaths. It's much better at putting them in power.

You said it like it's a bad thing. Sociopaths are way better at making rational decisions

If what you need is someone who is good at killing and oppressing people, then yes, a sociopath is ideal. Personally I think that's a bad thing.

You are mixing psychopaths with sociopaths
