I wonder what the customs import duty would be on this one. Someone had to pay 185€ on the 1 BTC coin. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Sorry, don't intend on derailing the thread ( feel free to remove if necessary ) but is BTC something that you can be charged import duties on? I thought most countries class Bitcoin as a 'digital token'? I understand the duties on metals etc, but would they really charge duty @ x% of ~£15k? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) If so I'm out. Import duty is for goods/products, not money. So its whether a given country classifies Bitcoin as money or not. A crude rule of thumb, would be if a country charges VAT on Bitcoin transactions or not, IMO. Trouble is, if it is money, then the problem is declaring this money as it enters a given country. All countries have limits to how much is allowed before declaration...or you get a stiff fine. And while Bitcoin price continues moon-like, this item certainly exceeds the vast majority of the limits, out there. Tricky ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

I want one, but 30 BTC. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Planning to sell these unfunded? If its sent funded, can it actually be insured....and would you take the risk anyway? And if its insured, wont the import taxes be calculated on it? Tis the reasons why i wont post my 25BTC Casascius. However, really like this coin/bar. All Bitcoin Blocks will be sold funded. (How could you have an unfunded bitcoin block reward? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ) We will self-insure for the shipping, and hence the premium. In other words, we will not declare the full BTC value for shipping purposes, and therefore we will not receive the full insurance protection from the shipper. It's a compromise that our customers prefer. (Or do you prefer a lower price, and shipped to you with full declared BTC value?) thanks, Bobby I think, while BTC price increases in value, and certainly higher, theres an argument that says, something like this should be hand-delivered world-wide. The cost of this can be off-set somewhat, with the postal risk and its associated insurance costs. Yes, there may be a problem if the person carrying it is searched and the official makes the coin/bar an issue, but actually, this would depend how a given country treats Bitcoin i.e. imported money is not taxed. You would obviously have to trust your individual courier/carrier, as well. Personal delivery... that's a good idea. We'll do something like that down the road. Just wait for the 888. I agree with the challenges and concerns regarding the risks of losses from shipping. There's no easy answer, unless people want to come and pick it up in person. thanks, Bobby You could market it, as a value-added personal service!

I now look at the 25, 100, and even the 1000 Casascius coins from 2012, and ask myself, why didn't I buy one then? Could I have gotten them for less than 10% or 20% premium? What do they sell for now?
I can sell you the last funded 25BTC Casascius, for 30BTC, Bobby. Serious.

Sure Kraken seems to sometimes be unreliable, however I strongly believe everything will be ok. They always end up fixing their mistakes. That's why I continue to trust Kraken.
I do too. Still waiting for a reply from them. I perfectly assume losses from wrong trading decisions, but it's a hard pill to swallow to have funds there and loose money when the website refuses work. In my case, I've sustained a massive 35 bitcoin loss while logged in, desperately trying to sell, for more than one hour, but the website simply was non-operational. What bugs me double time, is that trading still continued during all this time. I'm confident they'll do good by their customers. Were your issues resolved Ghost? Dont tell me.......now a NDA matter? ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif)

ok so its been 400years and your family lineage has not even got passed the first 4 bytes of possibilities
but by this time everyone would have moved onto 2048bit encryption and your lineage would have to start again from 1, but this time with even less hope of getting them all in the next few eons
Great demonstration that puts into context whats necessary to break Bitcoin. Cheers franky. So there you go Rawdog. Really no need to run your mouth off at others, yet again. BTW, when did you remove the "1:1- Mastercoin/Bitcoin" nonsense in your sig?

Your welcome it's a shame more people don't ask questions.
Just keep doing what you are doing Lee. Its a bit left-field what you are doing, within the context of this space. People are naturally going to be a bit confused what your intentions are. Keep demonstrating and explain you're journey, and hopefully over time, peeps will follow with genuine interest. BTW, what with brexit n all, you might need to do this again.....at Dover ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb4fGIWBXdQWow. The guy is a piece of work. I was friends with him a few years back and worked at Cryptorush but after that I left the scene for a while, getting back into it again recently. I reached out to fyr as I thought I'll treat it as water under the bridge but I've read lots of new things about him and he still hasn't changed. Thanks for posting this, this made my mind up for sure to have nothing to do with what that guy touches. Frystikken can turn into an odious ego maniac, at the flip of a switch, in my experience. He needs to change the weed he smokes, IMO. Youre not the guy from Denmark are you?

API is the same affected like the website itself. Good trading via API is not posible since several hours. But every now and then you are able to load the website and also get a positive response from API. That's why the charts are updated and some trades were made. Kraken is not down. But 95% of all calls don't reach them. But 5% does. So the only advantage of API at the moment is, that you can send 100 calls to be 5 times succesfull. Or you can try loading the page 100 times... but that won't lower the load of Kraken ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) But yes, with API you had good chances to close a position... And I think you are right, Kraken has to stop trading while such heavy load. Arr, OK. I dont use APIs, so totally ignorant of their use. Cheers for the info.

And still, their web clients continue to get shafted, while trades are still happening via API. Wow.

YOU WOULD NOT LET ME DEFEND MYSELF FOR MORE THAN ONE HOUR! Then, BOOM, Margin Call in my face. NOT Acceptable!
The most interesting part would be, how can the margin be called if the site is down. I mean, someone must be trading there. Otherwise the prices would now move. Here, the same thing. Site is unuseable. I am collecting screenshots showing the RayID on cloudflare's error messages for about an hour now, if that helps. Exactly why I am considering legal action. Not only that, I did get the warning email that my Margin Level was too low. But I could do nothing about it. You can trade through API, which bypasses the website. From a quick advisory call to my lawyer, it is Kraken's responsibility to FREEZE the API if the internal web server is unresponsive. I would not be surprised if Dark Pool traders were fine and dandy too. This is completely unacceptable, immoral even. I need resolution on this or I will NOT let this go. If this is true, then im out of Kraken. If people who dont use an API are disadvantaged traders, it is not acceptable.
