561  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Unofficial - but honest] BAN mining pool thread (zero proof inside) on: March 25, 2015, 09:37:13 PM
There was also another thread that was deleted I believe... and there's also .....Really?'s scam thread.  You know... for research purposes Tongue

I didn't know about a deleted one but yes forgot about the scam thread but to be honest I never gave a lot of it much credit. I rather stay with the truth that is or can be proven good or bad.

Needmoney I am not sure if you are not getting paid your NMC ? If that is the case you need to have a wallet to have them sent to. I found it easy to have them just send to my CEX.IO  trading account at GHash and trade them for BTC when you have enough.
I took 2 payments but now i have 0.80 NMC pending.
http://explorer.namecoin.info/a/NHgCp3a4WNfseDNrv5Y6yUg5f6VDK9MesE

I am still owed the bonus coins but really don't give a shit if I get them or not.

 Bonus Coins
Coin   Balance
DOGE   0.46313538
NMC     1.11001707

bonus coins sometimes go weeks before you get paid..

unfortunately they are wasting the DOGE.. i dont think you can send less then 1.0 DOGE and i had to remove my DOGE address because the system kept sending me less.. so i was receiving a 0 deposit after the fee.

At CEX I think you need a min of 15,000 DOGE to trade them and 5 for the NMC.

Pretty sure this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=708200.0 is the first BAN thread...
Here's the second: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=722202.0

You know... for research purposes and all...

Your right I forgot about that first thread but I was referring to the second one...that is when I got on board.
565  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: March 25, 2015, 08:54:30 PM
It seems we may very well be close to that point seeing miners have to wait until future blocks are found and confirmed so the older ones can be paid.
It's inevitable.  Always has been.

I am at 85 Hours of not being paid in full. Where some may not notice is because when you get just a partial payment the clock resets to show you last payment but that is only true if you got paid everything. The rest that your owed that is late is still there and counting.... I am not owed much, so it's not the coin that matters it's the fact that a lot of the miners are not well informed of what's going on and it's getting worse. Good luck

85 hours sure seems like a lot more than a few hours??  But then again the longer you go without payment the less amount of times its late....  I am starting to understand it now.
566  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Unofficial - but honest] BAN mining pool thread (zero proof inside) on: March 25, 2015, 08:26:12 PM
Really this thread serves a purpose to show just how far the pool has strayed from the basic ideas that it was told to us why it was started. Most that were not there at the start may not know unless they go find the original 1st thread that was locked.
567  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Unofficial - but honest] BAN mining pool thread (zero proof inside) on: March 25, 2015, 07:25:43 PM
I think it will get deleted due to the title saying that it is an honest thread.

BAN no longer offers 10% bonus last I looked it was 1%

Maybe there still is an official BAN page that says the bonus is 10%.

If so the this thread's title is not a lie.

Hey op .

can you show me a link to a ban page stating 10% bonus?

I do agree that ban pays slow.
I do agree they sometimes skip the bonus coins.

Maybe there still is an official BAN page that says the bonus is 10%.

Payment System: PPS + 101% Bonus. Paid only if we find enough blocks

A team of us have been actively developing what we consider is technically the most accurate/transparent/NONprofitable pool in existence.

Our combined oustanding balance in queue to be paid is 132.50574770 Bitcoin.
There are 2 mined blocks waiting to mature, totalling 50 Bitcoin

DON'TSignup at: https://mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com/index.php?page=register

AS  Only invited users are allowed to register.

We are currently not accepting new user registrations.

BAN miners who complain about not getting paid would go mine somewhere else.

We're NOT transparent. We're accurate. How can we prove that?

Use your miner's statistics... AND UNPAID BALANCES

* Note: It's important for us to be able to pay you at exactly the interval you specify plus or minus a few seconds DAYS. This reason being is that this makes it easy HARD for you to visually see that you're getting paid what you're supposed to.

i been mining with this pool since august..

it is the only pool ive found that consistently pays more then the btc calculator says i should get with my hash rate..

waiting a couple days for the coins to come through doesnt bother me..

Same here but if the payout system has changed then miners need to know. Having the wrong information posted here and on the pools home page is not right. As the payouts get later and later it makes you wonder, as my last partial payment went 64+ hours.  The last time I was on IRC chat it was stated that the payments would be fixed as he would be able to buy enough coins to get everything currant and this would not be a problem going forward. I believe that date was back in December or January as it all had to do with limits on buying thru CoinBase I believe. I have not been back to the chat since. I know miners have left the pool due to the payments and there will be a point where you could see a mass exit. The pool either needs to think about a fee, minimum payout or something other than the way it is now. You also need to consider the halfing  of blocks next year and just how many blocks are in queue when that happens. When s0br first started he stated this pool was to be used to promote another business and I always felt I could understand then if the pool was structured not to make money as a stand alone pool.
You've stated in your post (the part I bolded) precisely why this pool cannot survive.  I've been saying it since the start.  Others have also been stating the same.  Fee-free PPS is a non-sustainable pool model.  It will require the operator to continually dump coins into the wallet so that payouts can be made.  It's why every other PPS pool charges fees.

Look, s0br may be the nicest guy on the planet, but you are relying upon his good naturedness to continue receiving your payouts.  The instant s0br decides he's spent enough of his own coin, bye bye pool, and bye bye payments.

Kano you bring up a subject that I have wondered about for a while. I also think you have a very good reason to ban rented miners once everyone understood the risk.

Current PPS Rate   0.0000000005351308

And the pools queue blocks:

Our combined oustanding balance in queue to be paid is 115.34408460 Bitcoin.
There are 0 mined blocks waiting to mature, totalling 0 Bitcoin

Right after posting this I got a PARTIAL payment ( after waiting 64 hours) which only covered the BTC that was due BEFORE the last difficulty change a few days ago. And now the new pool queue blocks are:

Our combined oustanding balance in queue to be paid is 90.38442636 Bitcoin.
There are 0 mined blocks waiting to mature, totalling 0 Bitcoin

I guess the other 80BTC owners (me included) better hope that another bad luck streak does not happen. But the question still is can the pool ever get ahead without a fee of some kind? And I am asked to leave the pool  because I posted here about late payments?? O Ya they are only a few hours late and it only happened a couple of times  Roll Eyes  It's getting worse

Interestingly, I got paid the current owed today and not the stuff waiting from the previous diff. s0br asked last time I was in irc, if anyone wanted to be paid right then. I'm in no hurry. I've been sad due to four machines not mining for many hours and haven't been on irc since those four went down. Things are alright for me now, fully mining on this pool.

Yes that is interesting as mine was the older due. What you say about the IRC chat is what I hate about it. I spent a some time on BAN IRC chat before mostly just reading what was going on. A couple of times I asked questions but nobody answered or a few that did could not answer because s0br was not there. I did tak to s0br a couple of times and we PM a few times as well. I quit going because I didn't like it and found it not very effective, and I guess if you were not there when the question was asked if you wanted to getaid or not it's my fault?  But why would I think it would be any different that if I questioned my payments there that I would not be asked to just go mine somewhere else as Swimmer63 told me. That hit a raw nerve after all I did to help, try to fix problems and promote this pool.  I will now just try to undo what I have done and make sure anybody that took my advice to mine here is knows my feelings about the pool as it stands right now.

576  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC! on: March 25, 2015, 01:23:52 AM
Where would you go to get a good price to input on the password line? I have an S5 that I want to try it out on. The C1's never worked with it at all unless I was mining %100 on Westhash.com.

I set it maybe 5-10% lower than the Coinwarz predicted return for 1 TH. The best pools average maybe 95% of predicted payout (most are usually more like 85-90% after you factor in the fee), so that is the price line you want to be above.

dude you set over not under the bitcoinwisdom prediction.  you do it to  help prevent excessive switching.

for now 0.01078   is 1 th a day.

 so do 0.0120  as in p = 0.0120

then use

 f2pool
kano's pool
or ban as second choice

I would no longer recommend BAN as a pool. Their payouts are getting worse. My payout is late going on 60+ hours. They are behind on over 100BTC in payments with all their blocks confirmed as they state on their pools website.

578  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: March 24, 2015, 09:42:02 PM
I was confused when I first joined them as they say "hourly payouts" but it's not really. They should just remove those claims and then people would know they get paid when a block they worked on matures.

No kidding but it's worse than that now. I have not gotten paid from the ones I worked on but others have accordingly to Swimmer63. So I guess they just pay who they want when they want and some of us will only get paid maybe from future blocks?? WTF! I am very sorry for anybody I have mislead into mining here without knowing myself just how bad it is. I truly believed in this pool but things have changed over the last 6 months.
579  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: March 24, 2015, 09:08:29 PM

In the past two months I have had to wait twice more than 36 hours for payment.

Opps I wonder if you counted today in your equation? Or does some get paid and others don't??

No, I was not counting yesterday.  But I got paid last night.
If this pool is making you so upset, just leave.  Why put yourself through it?  There are 20 other pools out there.
This is what I don't understand about all the complainers.  Payments have been late for months.  You clearly are not going to get paid on time,
yet you seem shocked when it's late.

You just don't get it and you come across as a ass, so I already left and waiting for my last payment ...well over 64 hours now. But I guess you got paid in full? last night while others wait for theirs. So maybe in the past seeing your one of the bigger miners on the pool you get paid but yet you talk shit about others that have waited longer and more times for theirs ...this is fucked up.

 Payment Information
Your account is currently being paid every 12 hours.

So all a person can deduct is the payout is in fact getting worse. I never spent the time to go back after the last server problem to see how much I didn't get paid. I responded about this pool here as I have because I reassured others that it was all good and just now want to make sure others know how I feel.

Hell Swimmer63 I have been the only person here that has left s0br positive trust but am now thinking it was a mistake as well.

580  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] So.. How's your Gambling journey so far? on: March 24, 2015, 01:30:13 PM
I am ahead about .35 of a BTC but play small stakes. I play at Betcoin.ag and it reminds me of PokerStars.
0.35 ahead is quite good, I think you should quit right now, getting ahead of the game means you "beat" the odds and are already lucky, and you probably will eventually end up losing it all if you keep gambling. Whats the best current poker site?

I play no hold-em on Betcoin-AG. It's some skill and some luck but I love to play and will keep going. On the last turny I played in I ended up 21st out of @500 players and just got tired at 6+hours of play.
Man spending 6+ hours on the computer is quite a bit of time, especially because you can't take breaks since your in a tournament. I guess if you like what you do then you are not wasting your time.

I play mostly cash games but they did do a free roll turny and you do get breaks as you go. I think my 21st place paid me .06 BTC
0.06 btc is about 12$ or so, so think about it like this. You obviously did well in the tournament, but in your very good place which took 6 hours to do, you made 12$. If you were working at a job for 6 hours, at minimum wage you would make more than 60$ after taxes. Think about it like that.

LoL I don't play for a living as I am retired. I play for the fun of it and the money is only a way to keep score.
Right, most users here are kind of young since bitcoin is new and very technological. Didn't really expect anyone retired on here! I guess if you play for fun, 13$ for free isn't bad, go buy something nice for yourself!

I enjoy online poker as I do not have any kind of poker face and would get eaten alive in live poker.
