England have a relatively easy run all the way to the final if they can just get past Germany which is obviously a huge hurdle but Germany have been inconsistent so far. They steamrolled Portugal, lost to France and then drew with Hungary and if they can hold them to a draw then England certainly have a chance, but their performances against mediocre teams haven't been great either. I'd still probably back Germany to win but a draw is also looking likely. I could see the match going to penalties. Hopefully there's lots of goals. A 2-2 would be nice.

Yeah, I agree that it's not really fair to players who aren't taking penalties. But the award goes to the player that scores the most goals, penalties are goals and to be fair, a player has to be among the best in his team to get a chance to take them.

These individual rewards are irrelevant anyway, football is a team game and the only important thing is winning the cup. Therefore the team itself wants their best player taking them.

Irrelevant? Tell that to Ronaldo. I'm sure he won't care how he gets the golden boot. I agree that penalties are an easy way to rack up the goal tally and maybe shouldn't count but I guess a goal is a goal at the end of the day. I'm not complaining though as Skybet had an offer on for the golden boot where if you put £10 on a player you get a £3 free bet every time they score and I went with Ronaldo so have made my money back in free bets already and might win over £100 if he ends up being the top scorer. Getting past Belgium isn't going to be easy though so if they go out to them there's lots of players on three goals like Lukaku who could catch him and if he scores in that game he'll be well on his way to the golden boot.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 25, 2021, 08:16:02 PM
I've become less, and less interested in boxing the more that I've gotten into UFC over the years. But, I am interested in hearing what seasoned, die hard boxing fans actually think of these cross over events that have happened over the last few years. Conor, Logan Paul, and Jake Paul. Obviously, there has always been white collar boxing events, and cross overs from different sports, but it seems its becoming more frequent recently, with some MMA fighters showing a desire to get involved with Boxing simply because you earn more money.

I'm not exactly a die hard and more of a casual fan but I don't mind them. Depends on who's fighting. Most aren't worth watching but some of them are interesting if not just for the novelty factor and anything can happen in these fights and people always tune in for the potential upset when it's a mismatch like the Logan/Mayweather bout. They'll only become more popular as people realise how much money is to be made but if people don't like them then they don't have to watch them but even half of the people who complain about them probably still tune in for it whether they pay for it or not.

To be honest, if Connor does keep losing I think he'll just resort to these cross-sport match-ups as he knows they'll be big paydays and much more than he's getting in the UFC. At least he can choose his own opponents rather than having to get Dana's blessing.
You could probably argue that Conor is bigger than the UFC. Even when he loses, his stock still manages to be about the same, due to his exploits earlier in his career. I'm not sure I like Conor's personality, and out of the octagon persona, but I can't help but watch his fights, and actually root for him to win. The guy is one of the most skilled, and aesthetically pleasing fighters there is. Probably one of the best strikers to ever walk into the cage, and because of these reasons he knows that money will follow him regardless of the results. Which is actually what I think has caused him to not have that same passion he had several years ago, since he was chasing money back then. Now money practically chases him.

He's still going to be one of the biggest draws but that isn't going to last forever and if he keep losing people will lose interest not to mention Connor will probably lose interest first. It's hard to keep walking into the ring when you've probably got a hundred million+ in the bank, especially if you keep losing. Connor still has an ego and probably doesn't want to be labelled a bum. There will be people who will quickly take his place in the superstar category. Francis Ngannou is probably the most exciting fighter right now and if that fight with Jon Jones ever happens it'll probably break UFC records. I'd actually like to see Ngannou fight someone like Tyson Fury as even though he's no where close to being a better boxer than him there's probably not many people he can't knock out if he lands one of those bombs he throws. Fury seems to potentially be interested in the fitght as well which makes me optimistic that it could happen. Ngannou needs a couple more wins under his belt and Tyson needs to get the Wilder rematch and then probably the AJ fights out of the way but after that I could see him taking these big money cross over fights as there'll be no worthwhile opponents left for him really.

563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: June 25, 2021, 08:02:23 PM
This fight is fast approaching with only about 3 weeks left to go. On the other hand we still have not had a confirmation on Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk and they have not even ordered a purse bid despite the deadline having long passed. I wonder if this will push the undisputed fight between the winner of each fight into next year.

The AJ/Fury fight wont be until next year unless AJ vacates the belts if the Usyk fight doesn't go ahead. They're probably just ironing out the details and it'll be before the end of the year. Last I heard it was pencilled in for September and if so then AJ likely wouldn't fight again this year unless they do a late December fight. That's also assuming Fury doesn't lose to Wilder and has to rematch him. Regardless I'm sure it will happen sooner or later.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: June 23, 2021, 11:30:28 AM
Have you seen their stare down after the conference? 5 min of silence with few words from Fury. Why Wilder was in his beats all the time? For me, it looks like Wilder is mentally broken and simply wanted to thwart Fury - AJ fight.
I'm not sure I agree. I think as fans we like to look into things into too much depth sometimes. Wilder probably just wanted to make a statement, that he hasn't got time for the mind games, and just wants to get to business. Unfortunately, that message wasn't received, and now people think he isn't ready or mentally broken as you described. I'll be honest, I'm team Fury in this just because it leads up to one of the biggest fights for a while. Fury VS AJ. However, I think Wilder will be just as ready as he was for the first two fights. The man might not be a brilliant boxer, but he has one hell of a punch which can put anyone out. The first fight, despite me thinking Fury won, it was close (not on points in my opinion) but was close due to the fact that Fury nearly missed the count. It was a big punch, that if he can land again will likely put Fury on his arse once again.

Although, having said that Wilder doesn't seem to know how to fight a pressure boxer, and unless he's learned that in the past year or so I see the fight going a similar way to the second.

Yeah, I think Wilder was just trying a different psychological game trying to come across as mysterious or making a statement of I'm not bothered/phased and am just going to ignore everything, but it did come across as kinda cowardly and weird. He knows he can't compete with Fury's banter/trash-talking so probably just figured he's best to keep his mouth closed and not say anything and try spook Fury that way. Obviously it didn't work but I don't think Wilder is scared or something just trying a different approach to the mindgames. I also agree that people don't seem to be giving Wilder the credit for nearly KO-ing Fury in the first fight. That could happen again despite Fury quite comfortably winning the last fight but in the end it was officially only won via the towel being thrown in. Wilder will probably be more cautious this time. Hopefully Wilder doesn't win so it doesn't drag it out with another rematch which Fury will almost have in his contract if he loses but overall I'd rather just see another good fight regardless of who wins. AJ has to get through Usyk first and that's not till September so if the Fury AJ match does go ahead it won't be until summer next year most likely.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 23, 2021, 11:17:47 AM
~
Woodly isn't a pushover even though he's been out of the UFC for a while and I still think this isn't going to be an easy fight for Paul. Woodly is certainly no Ben Askren and has knocked people out with punches. Personally if I was going to be my money would probably be on Woodly, or maybe it goes this distance.
Tyron Woodley is not a pushover but he is on a loosing streak in the UFC and there is no doubt that Tyron Woodley is the most difficult opponent Jake Paul is facing in his high profile money making career and i am also expecting a good fight and the fight will take place at 190 pounds which i think is fair for Tyron Woodley.

The only problem is Tyron Woodley was explosive but for the past few fights we have not seen that explosiveness and he lost those fights and if he could regain that explosiveness he used to have then he could win against Jake Paul by knockout.

Yeah, but that's in the UFC and two of them were only losses on points. Boxing is a different matter. McGregor is also on a losing streak but I'd expect him to smoke Jake Paul. According to Khabib's manager McGregor will have to resort to fighting him eventually  Grin.

Both games are hard to predict today from Group F seeing as all of them can go through still. Portugal v France is the one to watch for me though. Hoping there's lots of goals and that they don't just cancel each other out. A point for them both would probably be enough to make sure they both go through in some capacity.

Today the most exciting game for me will be Portugal against France, in the event of a draw both teams would be through, but I think France will not take it seriously and play for victory and just get it.

If the Germans keep the form of the last game, a victory with 3 goals will be distinguished.

I think France is off to the next round because i dont know if Hungary can do something in the match against Germany. Plus Portugal would need to win to knock them out. So they are in the best position but would like to see Hungary to win to make it intresting in the group

Germany should comfortably win but I'm not sure if Hungary will make it easy for them especially after they held France to a draw and can still qualify depending on the other results so I think they will go all out. They might even get a goal but I still think Germany should get two or three.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 17, 2021, 07:43:13 PM
All elements are talking about the match between Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley, gambling addicts are no exception, MMA fans don't want to be silent about their upcoming Duel.

I don't like seeing Paul talk about Woodley like Askren, be careful when the arrogant go first, I salute Woodley who thinks Paul's abilities are extraordinary, this is a sign that Woodley is more ready to beat Paul and doesn't take it lightly in the match against Paul in this match.

This is a very tense match between Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Paul this fight is worth watching and betting on, this time I'm standing near blacks.

I'm not sure how I feel about this fight.  It seems obvious that Jake Paul targets people he thinks were retired by the sport.  His last opponent and now Woodley both suffered extremely damaging losses before agreeing to fight Jake.  I think the fighters want these fights because they know they're finished in the UFC and I think Jake is happy to knock them out as their bodies can no longer compete at a high enough level to win.  I'm sure Jake will continue to step up his opponents, but this may be another smoke screen fight.

Guys, lets make a little discussion

If Jake looses, do you think he will drop challenging former ufc fighters for a boxing match? Same goes if he wins - will he challenge another former ufc fighter? I think that Jake is hunting no longer active ufc fighters only. Dont know why he wants to fight against them. Why dont he challenge any retired boxer or a pro boxer with bad record?

No. He will just fight whoever he can get and as long as the money and PPV numbers are there there will be literally 100s of people willing to fight him both in and outside the fighting world. Jake's brand probably relies on being unbeaten right now but it didn't stop his brother from getting the huge Mayweather fight so he'll just cherrypick the biggest fights he can. I think if Jake pulls this off and his PPV numbers are still big his next fight will attract someone big like McGregor or maybe even Mayweather and they'll easily be able to sell that fight given the history in the build up. I don't know if Floyd would risk it though as Logan wasn't as easy as he excepted and Jake is a better fighter than him and has even more youth on his side. If McGregor loses his upcoming fight he might just sack the UFC off and take more of these big money fights just to cash in. McGregor probably won't have much clout left in the UFC if he keeps losing. I suppose it depends if people still keep buying the fights but I'm not sure how long you can keep being the headline fighter with a huge loss streak. Surely even UFC fans will start to lose interest in Connor. He's certainly not the fighter he was.

In the marketplace section there are a lot of newbies who are bumping their threads more than once in 24h time period.
I am reporting them every day, but it seems like it does not affect them in any way.
Even if they get banned they will just create new account and start all over again.

example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5344034.0
https://loyce.club/archive/members/332/3324652.html
There are a lot of more guys like this.

Isnt there any other method to prevent them doing so?
Is there any other section which have same problem?

The only thing that could be done would require some extra coding such as only one of their posts per day would actually bump their thread in the sub. There's something similar in the Alt Coin Ann board as there was a similar issue of shitcoins spamming their thread to the top constantly. Maybe deleted posts in that board should be shown only to mods so it can be spotted easier. They could be expunged from mod view after x amount of days maybe a week or so). For now you'll just have to keep reporting them.

Oh my God! I was horrified to watch them try to revive him and a minutes of complete silence from the audience. The worst thing I have ever witnessed on a football pitch.
It is my sincere hope that he will be OK. I pray for him...

It happened to Fabrice Muamba back in 2012: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4VqQQ7mTtA

It was so awkward watching him falling down like that. Every football fan would be worried. Good sign that he has come down to his senses as seen in the pic. Any idea on what happened actually? I can see snipie saying cardiac arrest but is that for sure?

Medical team did a great job... Kudos to them

Holy shit, that's great to see and such a relief. Miraculous that he's conscious and even has his head up. I honestly thought he was well and truly done for. His eyes rolling back in his head, being completely unresponsive and then them doing CPR on him for 5-10 minutes really didn't give me much hope. Credit to the the medics.

I didn't see the game, guess what happened to Eriksen before he crashed? Was there a clash between players or something?

Nope. Off the ball. He looked fine as he trotted over to receive the ball from a throw but then started to stumble and then just collapsed. There's a clip of it above. Looks like his heart just gave out.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2021/jun/12/denmark-v-finland-euro-2020-live-score-updates

From the Guardian:

Quote
What we know: The ball went out of play for a Denmark throw-in down near the corner flag. Rushing to receive the ball from whoever was taking it, Christian Eriksen collapsed face first into the turf as the ball hit his knee.

Two nearby Finnish players, a Dane and referee Anthony Taylor immediately signalled for urgent medical assistance. Soon after that arrived, one of the Danish medical team was seen performing compressions on Eriksen’s chest as his teammates formed a ring around him and the staff treating him.

As of five minutes ago, Eriksen was still receiving treatment on the pitch. The BBC have ended their coverage and I’m told the match has been postponed. This is awful.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 12, 2021, 05:09:18 PM
Christian Eriksen just collapsed on the pitch during the Denmark game. They're trying to revive him now but it's not looking good. He's been out for nearly ten minutes.
I am watching the game live and I am speechless, almost crying. CPR is already done, almost 10 minutes? this doesn't seem good at all. Is the girl crying in the field wearing his shirt his daughter? The game will continue? with what psychology and concentration? They got him out of the field unconscious Cry

They said it might be his wife but the commentators weren't sure. The game has been called off. I really hope they got oxygen to him because being out for 10+ minutes doesn't make me optimistic. Looked possibly like a heart attack. Hopefully they got his heart started before they stretched him off the field but if they didn't I'd be very surprised if he pulls through. Looked as bad as it gets. I guess the only positive thing is that he got attention within a minute but it took them a good few before they started CPR.

There's clip of what happened here for those interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBEErTd-iS8
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 12, 2021, 04:54:45 PM
Christian Eriksen just collapsed on the pitch during the Denmark/Finland game. They're trying to revive him now but it's really not looking good. He's been out for probably over ten minutes and still on the pitch. I doubt the game will continue. They've stretched him off now but after ten minutes trying to restart his heart I'm not optimistic sadly. I've no idea if they got oxygen to him as the players blocked the view but they should have got that over to him within minutes.
573  Other / Meta / Re: Is it time to increase the Emojis ? on: June 11, 2021, 04:24:37 PM
How am I meant to adequately poo-poo someone's idea without a pile of poop emoji? 💩
LOL.  My feelings exactly.

I am no fan of emojis and rarely use them, not on this forum, not on my phone, not anywhere.  They were cool back in 1997 when I started to use the internet regularly, but they're just silly to me now.  But that's just me--if other members want to use them (and want a wider variety), why not?  On the other hand, as pointed out by BlackHatCoiner, LoyceV, and Charles-Tim, there are ways to insert emojis that aren't necessarily available from the forum.

I think they can be helpful in certain scenarios to denote things like humour and sarcasm (which is often hard to detect over the internet) but they're really becoming overused especially with Gen Z. I have friends or know people who send me text messages and sometimes they're hard to decipher because they're so poorly spelled or littered with abbreviations and emojis I have to spend a few moments trying to decipher them and it's only going to get worse. I don't mind a smiley face or such and I use them every now and again but the younger generation really do seem to be communicating in the majority of emojis and tend to to employ them over speech whenever they can.

I am guessing Italy 1:0 Turkey tonight,to be honest,i don't know much about either team.
In the final i guess it's France vs Portugal again, but this time the winner is France. Because this time France has Benzema, haha.

I've gone for 1-0 to Italy. Could see Italy getting a couple though. I've also backed France and Portugal in the final. Anything can happen though. Belgium are the best on paper but usually underperform. Italy have by far the strongest squad.

Did you guys see the qoulity and value of players French team left at home? Here it goes if you did not:
Meslier - Theo Hernandez, Upamecano, Konate, Mendy - Camavinga, Ndombele, Aouar - Ikone, Lacazette, Martial

They were my favorites since Benzema comeback but now I know why most people considers them as strongest team. Nobody else has that many quality players at all positions at the moment.

France are probably my favourites to win it. Shame they didn't take Meslier. I think he could be France's number one eventually. He should have been included in the squad at least.

If anyone want's to join the EUROs pool there's not long left. See here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5338519.0

I know this is just a game, Supercomputer predicted the Czechs to be Champion Euro 2021. the computer simulation predicting Czechs will defeat Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Denmark in the Final. With the simulating, English will be lost vs Denmark.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/supercomputer-predicts-england-euro-2020-24273930
But who will bet Czechs?, we know they don't have the raising player, but when back in 2004, Greece make it happen.

I doubt Czech Republic will beat Spain, Germany & Portugal. Like England I think they will make it out of their group but it will end there. England will probably face one of Portugal, France or Germany if they finish first and I doubt they'll beat any of them.

I saw that the odds for Portugal and Germany winning the tournament are exactly the same, and for France the odds are a little better. To be this is a surprise since all three are in the same group and there are some decent chances that one of them won't even make it out of the first round. Can't we profit of it? Like betting on France winning and either Portugal or Germany getting knocked out in the first group?

They can all make it out of their group as four of the third best placed teams can make it through. In fact, this is what happened with Portugal in the last tournament. They finished third place after drawing all of their games but even went on to win it. Portugal and France are my favourites.

If anyone wants to join the Predictor Pool I'm running 0.001 buy in you can do so here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5338519.0
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 07, 2021, 09:16:31 AM
This is another, in my eyes, stupid fight that nobody is really waiting about. Especially as Woodley is not so famous but as others mention it is all about the money. Both Paul and Woodley can take home a nice pay check. Chances are maybe slim, but I hope Woodley can KO Paul.

Tyron Woodley was once a UFC champion, defended that title four times, but had lost to a former welterweight Kamaru Usman (current champ) by decision. You can be "not so famous" and be a champ. The only disadvantage of Woodley is that he is more wrestler than striker.

Jake Paul will again win the fight against a former MMA figher.

According to wiki, Woodley is still an active fighter.

I wouldn't believe everything wikipedia says. He might not be officially retired as an MMA fighter but if he was still a current UFC fighter Dana likely wouldn't have let him fight as he's blocked at least a couple of fighters from match ups against Paul. I don't think Woodley will be a pushover for him like Askren was. I don't think this will be an easy fight for Paul. It's an interesting match-up for sure.

That's exactly my point, good for them for making money, but there are proponents saying that it can destroy the sports, ex-MMA fighter or any other athlete.

So I guess it's up to the fans itself, if there could be cross over, if they want to patronize and buy tickets that is fine, on the other hand, some fans disagree. Well we might call them maximalists as well, staying to the true colors of sports.

Anyone who says it's destroying the sport are idiots. Don't watch it and just carry on watching the professionals if it's something you don't like. Complaining that it's negatively effecting the sport is like crying about pee wee or Sunday league football saying it's destroying the sport. It isn't. It's just an amateur alternative.  Even Tyson Fury says it's good for the sport as it gets more people interested and paying money to watch it and it certainly doesn't effect the big players. In fact, it's more money for them when they chose to get involved.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: June 07, 2021, 09:00:41 AM
Floyd couldn't KO an amateur dude who doesn't have the stamina to last 8 rounds. Shame... shame...
Imagine you bet $100 to win less than $10, and lost it all because of draw, lol.

I'd rather play slots Grin

Most bookies voided it if there wasn't a KO. It was a boring fight though. They should have had judges and points. Without them both fighters were just happy to coast it out until the end knowing nobody could lose. Floyd would have easy won on points anyway. It will be interesting to see where both fighters go from there. Floyd said he's not going to fight again but I don't believe him. Wouldn't surprise me if he goes for Jake Paul next. I think there would be more hype/interest for that one given the JP shenanigans and Mayweather being genuinely annoyed by it.

@ene1980. I am watching it. This certainly is not deserving for the $49.99 payperview. However, good on the brother Jake Paul for snatching Floyd’s cap and hyping this. Jake should enter the cryptospace. He will have a profitable career in promoting ICOs and scamcoins hehehe.

It will be interesting to see the PPV figures or how much the fight made. I'm not sure how many people would have paid $50 for it, but they often seem to never give exact figures so it's hard to know whether something was a flop or not. Floyd has said he's making 10+ million but I'm not sure where all that money is coming from. the PPV was £15 in the UK but I doubt many people forked out for that given the fight was on at 4AM.

Logan seemed in good spirits afterward.

So he should be. He didn't get KOd and received millions for dancing around a ring with an all time great. It's a win-win for him as he has the bragging rights of not technically losing to Mayweather and all good promo that comes along with it.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: June 06, 2021, 06:24:59 AM
but still totally no sites is supporting this match Sad

Betting sites don't seem to put a betting line on this fight, if you back-read, there's one poster that said he found a betting line in stake.com but it's not anymore available, actually, I also search now and I also can't see it.

It's on Skybet too. Void if the fight goes the distance:

https://m.skybet.com/boxing/upcoming-fights/event/27530938

I would like to add since in their terms that there will be no announcement of the winner if ever which is a remote possibility Mayweather gets knock out and losses the fight his 50-0 record is still intact as this is not an official fight only for entertainment but both fighters do not want to treat this as an exhibition match so they agreed for lighter gloves so they can hurt and knock out each other.

It doesn't matter whether it's 'official' or not. That's just a formality and certainly no excuse for Floyd or LP. If Floyd loses this then it would be a major embarrassment for him and the fans will certainly count it as a loss. Would be pretty cringe if he holds onto the well it was just an exhibition match excuse.

Hope these side bets get resolved, they’re not for a lot of money. It’d be very disappointing to see them not get settled. I don’t want to have to start tagging people but I will if I have to.

Let's not jump the gun. He hasn't been online since May 23rd and I still have his pool winnings which are enough to cover the bet which I'm sure he knows he's won so there's probably a reason why he hasn't been online. Worse case scenario is I'll pay the side bets but I'm sure he'll return. His account is worth more than the money that is on the line so silly not to try fulfil the bets eventually. If he's not here by the end of the month just message me with the details of the bet and I'll sort it.

If anyone wants to join the Euros pool there's a week left to go so sign up here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5338519.0

This is one of the most important suggestions for the forum in the last 5 years. Without emojis how are we meant to communicate efficiently? How am I meant to adequately poo-poo someone's idea without a pile of poop emoji? 💩 How am I meant to display sheer shock and awe without the eye lips eye face 👁👄👁. How am I meant to simp or express my utter attraction for someone without multiple heart eyes emojis 😍😍😍. How would I ever initiate sex without the fingerbang emoji 👉👌. How would I ever know someone is horny and wants the D without the cipher of the eggplant emoji 🍆. It's just too important of a feature and theymos needs to get with the times ASAP otherwise I fear it's only a matter of time before we lose the ability to communicate.

See, it's just not the same when they don't show:

Who needs emojis, when you can just Image loading...embedImage loading... images?

Ain't nobody got time for that. It already takes way to long too type actual words.
