just for clarify, the power is 2.5 W instead of 5W, 500ma * 5v

I've always hated electricity.  I can figure out just about anything, but this kind of sorcery always gets the better of me.

Since 336MH/s is just their theoretical limit, you may not want to flatly state " It hashes at 336MH/s."

That may come back to bite you.  You know how people love to complain.  Wink

Damn, I was so careful in the description and then mucked it up during the question and answer.
564  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 24, 2013, 02:03:30 PM

I wonder if you make any sales at this price... That's almost 100% markup! Smiley  Good luck.

Not really.  I had to sell AM shares to buy these.  The shares have doubled in price since I sold them.  At 399 USD, I'll probably be about even.  I'm going to take all the proceeds and put them right back into more shares next week.  Unless of course there is another group buy...

My guess would be that these suckers are going to be sold for a shocking sum.

These USB miners are IN HAND

LOL.  I guess you didn't specify which hand.

I didn't want to lie.  That would be wrong.

If anybody is interested, that auction has been up for only 12 hours and has 279 views and 18 watchers.

I'm going to replace the pictures as soon as I snap my own.

Thanks, but your buy is closed! Sad. The other active one is UK-based, it seems... Guess I'll wait until another US one comes along.

The UK based GB operated by A+C offers worldwide shipping, 4 days shipping to the US = about +0.143 BTC to the hardware costs. 269 already sold out of 300.

This one needs your orders...

Cincinnati?

Did the plane overshoot the runway by 1,500 miles?  Or is the DHS headquarters there?

I'm on the east coast US, and all my DHL shipments from Asia arrive via the Cincinnati hub, before going to another DHL facility, and finally to me.

I would expect delivery sometime today (Thursday).

That wasn't a typo.  I meant DHS, not DHL.  Everybody knows that bitcoiners are terrorists.

We had shipped the first 200 USBs today immediately after they are out of the factory.

This is us?
573  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 21, 2013, 04:40:47 PM
Use a random number generator for shipping priority. Easiest and arguably most fair (everyones got their different reasons for getting their's first  Tongue)

However...

ok ok. no testing. and i'll ship the bulks out first, then everybody else. given that the bulk orders represent a little more then HALF to total orders, i don't think it'll make more then maybe one days difference what order i ship the rest in.

And if it makes any difference:

come on friedcat, accept payment...

Cheesy

The Cat hasn't even taken our coins yet.  They're still https://blockchain.info/address/186mfv3sPuQrzmpCgBmVzJBRYDg8HGH7Lx

Maybe there's no more room in the facility for more coins with all the mining.  After they ship out our order, the forklift can move our coins in.

Seriously, after a little research I found out where this place is without a doubt:

---------------
San Lorenzo is a tiny, rocky island nation located in the Caribbean Sea, positioned in the relative vicinity of Puerto Rico. San Lorenzo has only one city, its seaside capital of Bolivar. The country's form of government is a dictatorship, under the rule of ailing president "Papa" Monzano, who is a staunch ally of the United States and a fierce opponent of communism. No legislature exists. The infrastructure of San Lorenzo is described as being dilapidated, consisting of worn buildings, dirt roads, an impoverished populace, and having only one automobile taxi running in the entire country.

The language of San Lorenzo is a fictitious English-based creole language that is referred to as "the San Lorenzan dialect." The San Lorenzan national anthem is based on the tune of Home on the Range. Its flag consists of a U.S. Marine Corps corporal's stripes on a blue field (presumably the flag was updated, since in the 1920s Marine Corps rank insignia did not include crossed rifles). Its currency is named corporals, at a rate of two corporals for every United States dollar; both the flag and the monetary unit are named after U.S. Marine Corporal Earl McCabe, who deserted his company while stationed at Port-au-Prince during the American occupation in 1922, and in transit to Miami, was shipwrecked on San Lorenzo. McCabe, along with accomplice Lionel Boyd Johnson from Tobago, would together throw out the island's governing sugar company, and after a period of anarchy, proclaimed a republic.

San Lorenzo also has its own native religion, Bokononism, a religion based on enjoying life through its untruths. Bokononism, founded by McCabe's accomplice Boyd Johnson (pronounced "Bokonon" in San Lorenzan dialect), however, is outlawed - an idea Bokonon himself conceived for the purpose of spreading the religion and making the residents of the island happier. Bokononists are liable to be punished by being impaled on a hook, but Bokononism privately remains the dominant religion of nearly everyone on the island, including the leaders who outlaw it.
578  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: OPEN: [Group Buy] ASICMiner Block Erupter USB in USA. 2.03496 each @ 5 units on: May 17, 2013, 06:02:21 PM
Do we know if these will be produced to fill the order or does ASICMiner have them ready to ship?

Maybe this will answer your question...

Update

The mass production of Block Erupter USB is to be done today. Busy testing and packaging will start.

579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm sorry for this dumb question but how do I buy bitcoins now? on: May 16, 2013, 05:08:07 PM
Iits pretty clear that Coinbase is working with the Feds - i.e., all their data is provided to DHS, FBI, CIA, NSA, IRS...

Thats how they secured another round of venture capital - $5M I believe. They bent over for Uncle Sam to keep the doors open.

This is bad news indeed.  Can you give us more info on this?
580  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Thanks everyone! More answers to come. on: May 16, 2013, 04:50:51 PM
I would like to thank everyone for their questions and suggestions; will answer more questions as soon as I clear several urgent items on my place.

Dan,

Have you looked into the actual payment technology onboard?  ATMs?  Smart Cards? Gold bars?
