welcome to Bitcoin Heaven
Why heaven? More like Bitcoin Pit since most are constantly fighting with each other.

Surely Bitcoin Hell would be more appropriate. I'd say it's more like purgatory though; a lot of good and a lot of bad and people can go either way  Grin.
Well, hell might be a bit overkill. A purgatory is probably a bit too much as well. There are good people, just not lots of them.

So it's more like the real world then and practically every other forum on the internet.
Guess so, don't hang around much in other forums so I can't really tell.
5722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: right way to invest on: February 28, 2014, 02:40:15 PM
i earn quite a lil bit of btc here and i wanted to know where i can invest it to make it grow
any good advice?

Just hold it. You'll likely lose it or lose out if you try invest it in something and don't know what you’re doing.

maybe your right i just lose a couple of it on gambling i won once then i get quite addicted thats why im holding myself back and stay away from casino as far as i can

Didn't you lose some on ponzis as well?  Cheesy. There's no such way as easy money, but with Bitcoin your best bet is keeping it safe and just hold.

no i dont haha i dont have any trust when it comes to ponzi the owner is using some other account or maybe his friends to get some attention (based on my observasion)
yeah thats why i stay away from the casino

Ah, I thought I'd seen you mention before that you lost money on a Ponzi, but you'd be right to stay away from them.

Don't invest. Bitcoin itself is an investment.

It's a currency first and foremost, but people are treating it as an investment, but like all investments, it's risky. People soon found out it's not the magical money making get rich quick scheme they thought it was with these recent crashes.

In this early phase it's an investment. Up until Bitcoin will be used by the majority, it'll remain a risky currency with big price fluctuations, scammers in the community and so on...

In this early phase it's a currency. It also doesn't fluctuate. 1 Bitcoin is always worth a Bitcoin. What people pay for it in cash is another matter, and those people might be planning on it as an investment, but it's still first and foremost a currency. Scammers doesn't make it a big risk. Plenty of scammers in the real world scamming for fiat currency more than there is Bitcoin.
Yes, a currency it is. However, the value of 1 Bitcoin does flunctuate, because value is how much it is worth, as in how much items of some sort you can buy with it. How would you define the worth of every other currency in the world? It has to be compared to something at least. Regarding scammers, I guess it's a curse (and a blessing to some) of decentralization.
5723  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain explorer android app on: February 28, 2014, 02:34:10 PM

5724  Other / Off-topic / Re: Western intelligence networks strategize to place “trolls” on the Internet on: February 28, 2014, 02:32:53 PM
i get paid 35k per year to troll on the btc-e trollbox (serious) i believe my employer is mossad

really?
I think he's trolling right now. Undecided

Haha, was gonna say that, but maybe he is just a professional troll. I wonder if the mods get paid over on Btc-e.
Probably or maybe the payment is the satisfaction of trolling others while being staff.
5725  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do if you were invisible for a day? on: February 28, 2014, 02:31:25 PM
The bible says that every person is a sinner, even the first people on earth - Adam and Eve. Back on topic, I simply can't do something so wrong, no matter the possibility. If I found a pile of cash on the street and a dude asked me to watch it for a minute, I wouldn't take it. My moral standards (and the fact that I'd probably feel so guilty I couldn't sleep) just block such thoughts in my head before even reaching the part where decisions are made.

I see what you are saying.. but its not been dropped in the street its been sent to me and its not $0.10 either! - Very mysterious. I dont think i posted my address anywhere in these forums?
If you tried and couldn't track down the owner just keep it. No need to stress over some extra BTC.

Robbing a bank of cource Cheesy (Joke)

People say this as a joke, but I bet it's what a lot of people would do. This sort of power would easily corrupt a lot of people quickly.
It's only a day. How can it corrupt people so fast?

Because for that exact reason. Give a person a power for a day and he isn't going to wait around; he'll exploit and take advantage of it whilst he can. The power only lasts a day but that money he stole will probably last a lot longer.
I wouldn't. I have strong morals and, well, I'd rather just have fun messing around. Tongue

Try writing the password down in a plain text editor like notepad, copy and paste it in the required field.

5738  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MineWatcher~a very simple GUI for miners, keep your miner running! on: February 28, 2014, 01:44:19 PM
Seems like a useful tool. Since I stopped mining when ASICs started ravaging the market, it isn't that useful to me. Good luck nevertheless.

Welcome to the forum and have fun learning!
Just keep away form shady deals or else you might learn how losing your coins hurt.
5740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if we made a coin called FoodCoin, which can only be used for buying food? on: February 28, 2014, 01:41:34 PM
good idea if the coin started by McDonald..
Then it would pretty much be just another digital coupon.
