I've forgot about my miner for this, still hodling, still mining.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Pebblecoin (XPB) - Botnet Resistant - Cryptonote, Wallet GUI! on: February 06, 2015, 11:40:48 PM
Also on the main pool, I'm getting:
[2015-02-06 20:06:58] Stratum connection timed out
[2015-02-06 20:06:58] Stratum connection interrupted
[2015-02-06 20:06:58] Stratum detected new block

Over and over, though my stats seem to show up, they're much lower than the local miner shows.
Anything going on?
There were some overload issues with the pool and it hasn't been as efficient as it could be.  I tweaked the settings and it should be better now.  Let me know in about a day if the stats still don't line up.

Thanks, hash rate on the pool is better now, jumps around more than the local miners, but that's probably normal.
Pending balance and payments seem to be staying the same now however.
Shouldn't it only change when a pool block is mined?  Pending balance also only updates once the block is mature - the pool waits for 60 blocks until considering a block is mature.

Is there a way to setup a simple private pool using just the daemon for example? Then have miners point to the daemon to mine?
I tried using my normal method, but seems the pebblecoin.conf values are much different.
I am not sure.  I haven't looked into this.  If it worked with other cryptonote coins it should work with pebblecoin too.

Thanks for the reply.
Pebblecoin.conf doesn't seem to accept the values needed to be used as a private pool that you can mine to.
For instance, I have the daemon and wallet running on one server without enough RAM, then have 2 computers with enough RAM mining to that wallet.
I'm unable to find any method for making this work.  I must be missing something custom with pebblecoin and being able to set private miner/rpc settings.

Wow!
What happened with the price.
There went all my sells way back at 1800 lol.
Now worth 2250
Difficulty has gone up a ton though, seems like this is taking off and I sold too soon.

The Windows miner binary is now availableWARNING: Requires 13 GB RAM!  How to run it:

Code:
minerd.exe -o stratum+tcp://69.60.113.21:3350 -u YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x

Thanks!

Just bought another 3 pack as I'm really enjoying my SP20s.
Great work on the new firmware, very happy with the new features and proper xnsub implementation.
If I want to run them on a gold+ power supply at 1450+gh, what do you recommend ?
If using nicehash as primary pool, is it better to use f2pool versus btcguild as f2pool is PPS?
Is there a benefit to the 3X gen over the current 3 pack deal with SP20Es?
The way I calculated things, made more sense to buy a 3 pack.

The new linux miner binary is up here.  I have changed the ports so old miners don't clog up the pool resources.  To run the new miner:

./minerd -o stratum+tcp://69.60.113.21:3350 -u YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x
Are you using the new Port and Miner z38630610?

Is there a fix for the S5 getting stuck/not failing over to secondary pool, on Nicehash/Westhash when the p=price password is used in combination with #xnsub ?
I just confirmed it happened on 5 S5s overnight for around 7 hours.  0 accepted hash and did not fail over to second pool until I removed #xnsub.  Not sure if electricity was used or not, that would be terrible.

My SP20s are working now with this after the FW update, but my S5s which are much more numerous still stick on nicehash doing 0 accepted hash and not failing to the secondary pool if #xnsub is used while the p=price is not met.
Using Jan 7th Firmware for S5.
No other password arguments are used as that seems to break it for any ASIC

My rewards are tiny currently with my 0.05H on the pool, I have 8 XPB more in my wallet than I did a day ago.
I did buy up some at 1300 satoshi however.

Anyone manage to get coins added to Poloniex using the new daemon?
I must be doing something wrong because none of them are showing up in Poloniex, but I am getting a TXID and the amount deducted from my balance, been almost 2 hours.

I made simplewallet and used that.

I'm using SimpleWallet though it is from before the fork, would that matter?
Daemon is updated for the new fork.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I also don't see a simplewallet in my latest git from source after making, just the new daemon.
It's the one I still have to use the ultra long command line parameters instead of simply ./simplewallet
[I always forget to mkdir obj when compiling from git on Linux, a heads up if anyone has issues making]

Whoops, wasn't asking for advice on the power settings. BTW if you select any of the "Basic" settings, it auto puts those super high wattage figures in. Anyways, I'm happy with my current power to hashrate figures so not going to muck with those.

My pictures were intended to point out that I had the extranonce setting on 2 and was still seeing cgminer4.7.0 in contrast to what the previous poster mentioned. Trying to get that issue resolved.
As you have, plus adding #xnsub to the end of the URL and a restart worked for me on all miners.  i.e.
Code:
stratum+tcp://stratum.westhash.com:3334#xnsub

Thanks, this allows the green checkmark on Nicehash, but breaks the secondary pool as Nicehash, even when pricing is below p=value, stays Alive and never fails over to the secondary pool.
Also when using p=value in this way, once the price is no longer met, the miner simply stops sending any shares, and does not fail over to the secondary.
Firmware 2.6.9, tested on multiple SP20s and also affects S5 the same way.
Are you using anything in addition to p=value in the password field?  Does your rollover pool show Alive, even while mining on Nicehash?

My settings are similar to philipma's, and work exactly as expected on multiple miners.  I'm on fw v2.6.9 - I don't know where *it* went to, or why it was pulled (edit: current fw shows v2.6.1)

(another edit) only use the #xnsub on Nicehash and Westhash, not on your fallover pool(s).

I only have the p=0.0121 setting in the password field.
The other secondary pool shows as Alive as well, but with stratum+tcp://stratum.westhash.com:3334#xnsub in the primary pool, and 2 in the Miner Setting flags, it will never fail over to the secondary pool.
Remove #xnsub, I lose checkmark on westhash but failover works perfectly, including switching back when westhash meets price requirement from the secondary pool.
This is on three SP20E plus my friend's as well.

Edit:
Seems that they are currently swapping pools after around 20 minutes.
Will monitor more.

Getting 0.05H/S is this normal for a i7-4770K with 16GB of RAM?
Using all cores by default, and about 2GB RAM free.

Is cgminer supposed to be upgraded automatically when the firmware is upgraded? I just performed the firmware upgrade on one of my SP20s and it still shows cgminer 4.7.0 on the dashboard page.
Try a Reboot from the miner's home page.  That's what did it (cgminer 4.8.0) for me.

I've upgraded all my SP20's to firmware 2.6.1 and have done reboots on all of them. The dashboard page still shows cgminer4.7.0 .

I'm running 2.6.9 on all mine and have the same issue, cgminer4.7.0
You will see 4.8 if you set the flag to 2, used to mine on nice/west hash with extranonce.subscribe enabled otherwise you will see 4.7 as you are.

EDIT: Taken from nicehash ASIC guide page:You can also download pre-compiled binaries for Spondoolies SP2x and SP3x with cgminer 4.8 and extranonoce.subscribe patch and replace stock Spondoolies cgminer (instructions included in README file). Please note that this cgminer is already included in latest Spondoolies SP2x and SP3x firmware!

I have the flag set to 2 for use on nicehash, but on nicehash I do not have any green checks showing it's working.
Is there something else needed to be done other than set the flag to 2 and run 2.6.9 ?
600  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: January 30, 2015, 06:02:25 AM
If using the extranonce subscribe for an S5 or SP20, is it normal for the miner to not fall back to the top priority pool when nicehash price drops below thresh-hold ?
On both systems, when I get a green checkmark for EN, it will stay on nicehash no matter the price, and when it falls below the required price, simply stops hashing.
Removing EN fixes this problem, but is not ideal.
Maybe you can't have the best of both worlds with EN Tongue

This should work as designed.

You should set settings like this:

primary pool: stratum.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub (or stratum.westhash.com:3334#xnsub)
worker: your-btc-address
pass: p=0.01

secondary pool: whatever...

If you are using #xnsub you can't use more then one parameter in pass, for example, you can't use p=0.01;d=512 but don't worry about this because NiceHash will set difficulty correctly, simply use only p= parameter. It will switch to your secondary pool when paying price is below threshold and switch back to NiceHash/WestHash when price is reached again.

I'm using the Jan 7th firmware on the S5.
When I append #xnsub to the end of the connect URL, and only have p=0.0121 in password, it will connect to the Nicehash pool but won't fail over to my secondary when the price isn't met, even after 30 minutes.
Stays alive on nicehash, and does 0.00GH
