581  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 Not Hashing. Which step am I missing? on: January 07, 2018, 02:17:31 AM
Have you hooked up a meter to see if you are, in fact, getting the full 240v from
your main line? If you are not, it may not be giving the psu the juice it needs to
power all the way up.

Once either Cyrus or Theymos reset the account, please let us know how the notification process work... Do they reply to our PM or do we periodically check the email address we asked them to reset to? Thank you for the clarification!

You will receive a PM that simply says: UNLOCKED. That's all I received when
mine was unlocked last month. My account wasn't hacked so, it could also contain
simple instruction for keeping your account safe.

Was that a PM in the new account?

Yes, it's in the new account, in which you have sent the signed message.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Here to pick your brains! (Mining rig issue) on: January 05, 2018, 01:39:18 AM
This section is for BTC/ASIC only. You might want to move this thread to the ALT mining section. In the bottom
left corner of YOUR thread there is an option to move it. You will get all of the answers you are looking for
in that section. Goodluck!!!

585  Other / Meta / Re: My account is HACKED - What should I do to retrieve it? *PROOF INSIDE* on: January 04, 2018, 09:37:59 PM
The information you're looking for can be found here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

I've heard account recovery is rare, though, so best of luck.

I try this to recover my old Full member account from 2013 but didn't get answer for almost 2 months so I think it's forgotten account. now I have this one new but old one got all my post's I liked and followed from time when I started BTC mining Sad Too bad I can't recover that for now, I still will try to do that. There is a way just if someone willing to do that, I have all proofs they needed that account was mine. I will wait and keep trying. If someone want to help me? tell me who to contact I will appreciate that a lot.

You could start your own thread and post the signed message. I can verify it ,and it might
help get the attention of a Mod or Admin. You never know when and if they will see a PM.
I'd imagine the higher ups in this forum get spammed with a lot of B.S. and they overlook
some of the "need to do" PM's.
586  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hobby Techno's Soundproof Box for Antminer on: January 03, 2018, 11:51:38 PM
I've seen a few somewhat like this too. The one thing I've wondered about is, the TEMP inside of the box.
I understand that the idea is to flow air through the length of the vent hose, but miners do emit a radiant
heat. With the vent connected and sealed to the miner, how do you evacuate the radiant heat??? And, I
personally am using Rockwall to deaden noise rather than plywood. If you could take some inside temps
that would be great. Thanx!!!
587  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk account banned on: January 03, 2018, 11:26:28 PM
You are gonna wait forever to get a reply from theymos on that email. Follow the directions here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

If you need help with signing a message go here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

Take some time to find an old thread where you posted a crypto address, and supply that link as well.
If you post it here I can verify it, and hopefully a Mod or Admin can take care of it. If you need any
more help, just ask and I'll see what I can do to help out. Goodluck!!!
588  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 03, 2018, 09:49:28 PM
I've got crypto ready to go, and I'd like to order on the next batch.  Has anyone actually received their order, aside from those that were sent for eval?

Bitmain's recent price gouging has really turned me off, and I'd like to support someone else.

There have been a few members here on the forum that have received their orders.
You have to look through a few different threads to find them, but they are indeed
here. I've also seen a few set up/review videos on youtube as well. I've got to say,
I was a little Leary of them as well, having seen many a rendering since I first got
into all of this in 2015. I'm sure in the next couple of weeks we will see more people
on here boasting about receiving their orders. Just as we'll see another 20 posts of
people asking if Pangolinminer  is real.
589  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: apw3++ wont turn on using 240v on: January 03, 2018, 12:40:54 AM
You are correct about some psu's having a switch. Unfortunately I do not know if bitmain
offers an internal switch. I suggest moving this post to the mining support section. In the
bottom left corner of YOUR post, there is an option to move it. You will get quicker and
better answers there. Goodluck!!!
590  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) Antminer S9 13.5 Th/s, 1320W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: January 02, 2018, 09:26:48 AM
Another very informative review! Great idea throwing in the fan model and number. I've seen
Quite a few people asking for it. I'd like to see them get their shipping on schedule. They
could just ship them immediately after oredered! Ha! Keep up the good work HagssFin!
591  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 02, 2018, 02:35:31 AM
When will be the next batch? Waiting to buy some.

Go to the website, and subscribe to the email list. They are also on FB and Twitter. I follow
the FB page, and they update pretty regularly. Goodluck!!!

592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does mining any coin require a 24 hour internet connection? on: January 01, 2018, 03:54:09 PM
You need to be connected 24/7 for best results. I don't know where you're located, but there
are stationary "hot spot" web services from certain phone companies. I know AT&T offers one.
It's basically like a router with a sim card, that provides internet in areas that do not have it.
I think it runs at about $20/month usd. Another option would be, buy a burner phone with a
Hotspot. Just leave it plugged in and connected. Mining takes very little bandwidth and you
wouldn't need a BIG plan from a company.

I've heard it eats a lot of electricity. I've also heard it can get extremely hot. I'm at work half of the week and have pets at home. Is the heat aspect a fire hazard of any sort that could happen while I'm not there, and they are? Thanks!

If you are referring to the miners themselves, Yes on both accounts. These machines are designed for industrial use.
They make ALOT of noise, and depending on the wattage, ALOT of heat. When dealing with one of them consider it
like you would an electric heater. Do not place things near them that could easily catch on fire. Do not get them wet.

However, These machines have been improving in design and are becoming much more efficient. The newest machines
have a higher hashrate, and use less electricity, which lowers the amount of heat they produce. Depending on what you
pay for electricity, they can be profitable.

This is an area you need to be fully prepared for. Before even considering mining, it is very important to do some research.
Things like: Cost of Electricity, Electric output of your chosen location, Ventilation, INTERNET, and general understanding of
mining pools all need to be planned out before you invest.

Take a trip to the mining board here, and do some reading. There is a lot of info in that section you will need to know.
593  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 01, 2018, 01:21:56 PM
My 3 orders got cancelled

cancelled after you Paid?

it happened to me just now.  I hope they mark it as processed soon.

$3000USD, w PSU, and ships next week is a tad expensive.... that's why I opted for the other batches

Just keep checking on it. This happens alot on their website. When I ordered mine last month,
it did this EXACT same thing to a few people on here. They got their orders "processing" later that
day. And, Pangolinminer, at one point was having people fill out a "ticket" if they had issues. The
way they've been releasing these things, I won't be suprised if they have more by the end of the week.

595  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 01, 2018, 12:14:53 AM
.. looks like Pangolinminer is playing games with their countdown clock.  A few minutes ago it showed
New batch will be released in 00days 07:hours some minutes
 now it shows
New batch will be released in 00days 17:hours some minutes
just seems a bit odd.  Are they waiting for better BTC/BCH exchange rates?

It shows 7hrs and 57min for me. Maybe something with the cookies in your browser? Try clearing
your cache, and see if it changes. I do know that sometimes it gets a little weird for me, but I just
figured it had something to do with our location differences. I'm in the U.S. and everything they do
happens when I'm in bed sleeping.
596  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Looking for detailed info on miner Monitoring software on: December 31, 2017, 08:04:08 PM
He is correct! Awesome miner is what you'll want to check out.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0

There are also other programs that you can find in the software section. The support team on this
program is very active here on the forum. Take a look through the thread, and see the comments
and questions of other users. Goodluck!!!
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 780 Ti is not compatible with new NiceHash on: December 31, 2017, 07:18:37 PM
If you read the top of the thread boards in this area, You'll see that it states no GPU mining here.
try moving YOUR thread to this area for some answers:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0

There is an option to move the thread on the bottom left side of YOUR post.

You will get all the information you need there. Goodluck!!!
598  Other / Meta / Re: Account locked on: December 31, 2017, 06:48:07 PM
You have to follow the directions in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

If you need help signing a Message, check here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

You will also need to check your old posts for a posted BTC or other Cryto address.
They will need it to verify the ownership of the account.

I am not a Mod, I'm just helping out. If you post the signed message here,
I can verify it for you. Then, if a Mod has the time and they see it, Maybe they can Unlock it.
Goodluck!!!
599  Other / Meta / Re: Posting an image on: December 31, 2017, 04:27:53 AM
Take some time and read the "stickie" posts at the top of each thread section. At the
Newbie level, users are not privileged to post images. You'll have to put some time in
to raise your level and privileges. After that, you can add different things at different
levels. Goodluck!!!
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1060 Zotac Cards Vs Other Popular Brands? on: December 31, 2017, 04:17:42 AM
Try moving this to the Altcoin mining section for some answers from people who use
GPU mining rigs. Bottom left hand side of YOUR post there is an option to move it.

My personal opinion on graphics cards is, they all share a "base" platform that
individual companies build off of. The companies add different cooling solutions and
a different firmware for frequency and GUI's. The biggest thing I look for honestly, is
customer support. Goodluck!!!
