581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : *** shutting down - please withdraw your coins *** on: October 25, 2014, 07:39:16 AM
KingOfSports, you seem like an OK guy, so how did you get the below red flag next to your name?  I'm curious how this would happen, is it a troll who decides to smear you? Or maybe, like in business, if you do enough business eventually some a hole will be displeased for some reason?

It's a strange story.

KoS struggled with gambling addiction. From what I can remember, he claims that he deliberately damaged his reputation so that people wouldn't lend him coins to gamble with.

I believe the dude made him a loan of like 2btc, but sent it to him twice.  KoS being the degin that he is justified paying him back half the bitcoins, but since there was no agreement for the other two coins that they where just freebies  Roll Eyes lol (or the story is very close to along those lines.)

Moral of the story:

Click the send button once.
I suffered from gambling addiction. Now I just invest and keep my distance from it all mostly. I have a girlfriend, life and everything going for me. The story is similar to what was described however the one thing not mentioned is that I still have made offers to end the whole dispute. When I lost that night, I paid back the 2 BTC owed and disappeared for weeks (I went to rehab a week later). Bitcoin at the time was $125 per coin. When I came back to Bitcoin and learned all of what had happened to my rep and such I made the person who made the loan to me, an offer, $275 in BTC which was 2 BTC + 10% for the delay for the unagreed upon BTC. In the month or two I was completely gone from BTC and the whole world, BTC had shot up from $125 to $500+. The person who had made the mistake of clicking send twice did not even consider he had messed up and that my offer was completely awful and stuck to 2 BTC owed, a profit of 5+ his mistake in value. I refused, my rep tarnished.

We both made mistakes, my offer still stands and he will still always refuse it I'm sure. If BTC collapses to $137.50 per coin, I will send 2 BTC to his wallet address in his forum account as a kind gesture.

I have traded thousands, escrowed (when I was trusted) as much as $5000 at a time, and helped others in many ways. I was not out to scam anyone, if that had been the case I would have gotten someone for a lot more. I disagree with my forum rating and I wish personally the red would go away so I could do a forum campaign but alas it probably won't.

With all those scams it really would be best if dooglus just comes back. Sure, PD may be trusted, I guess, but a monopoly never is good. We need competition. And every new site is inherently untrustworthy. They really need to build up a positive reputation and trust first!
Yes please Dooglus. I want to reinvest 10 BTC with you Dooglus. I also acquired 85 more BTC and would like to put it in a 3 month FREEZE account and see what my return is.

BetVIP - I successfully made another bet today. No tech problems on the site. Hooray!

Except...

I was limited to a max bet of 52.63 mBTC or 0.05263 BTC = ~ $20 USD risked.
!!!

Hopefully this was a mistake on the book's part and your limits are not really that micro...

I was not allowed to rebet it.

Sent a pm 12 hours ago but haven't received a response yet.

All of this hassle, and then a $20 betting limit...

Even worse, I could've gotten the same bet elsewhere for all I wanted, but wanted to use BetVIP.
Now cannot get the bet at other book.

BetVIP, no one uses them and I visit the forum like once a month to see that. Probably pays the OP to talk about them occasionally, I mean seriously.

590  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Charlie Shrem is a scammer, watch out on: October 10, 2014, 06:45:39 PM

I've been asking and posting about it here and on IRC for almost two years. It wasn't until I posted here and left you negative feedback that you started coming around and responding again. What is it going to take to resolve this, man?

Rawted,

This was a BitInstant matter, not one of me personally. I've done my best to refund every customer, paying thousands out of my own pocket.

I sent you an email and I am offering again here to fully refund the $360 you deposited that day.

You have my email, as we were in conversation, feel free to email me an address where to mail the check.

I will overnight a FedEx check to you today if you email me your address right now.

-Charlie

I can appreciate the fact that you're no longer involved with BI. I can totally appreciate the amount you have had to pay out of your pocket to clear up issues. My problem is that I started this support request through you/your company back when you were in charge of it all. You know exactly who I am, as you just emailed me right away after I posted. If you notice the email you replied to was sent March of 2014. That's 7 months since you last replied to me about this.  You even knew the exact amount (360). Why did it have to get to this?

I'm torn as I realize you have no control over BI assets anymore, but I feel like my situation is different (due to the length of time I have been in contact about this, and the hoops I've been forced through), and that I have been more then patient enough. The offer of $360 is commendable, but again, I bought bitcoins with that money - I didn't place it in a no-interest savings plan for 18 months. I am honestly not happy at all with that appeasement. I appreciate you responding, and honestly attempting to resolve this (which I would like as well), but this is not fair, imo.

I have removed  the negative from your profile while we work towards an amicable solution, and thank you for stepping up.

EDIT: The email you just replied to from feb 2014 even has the order ID, event details, store, and location sent from in it. Would it be worth trying to get a hold of zipzap again about this?
Fuck your stubbornness and accept the fact that you either get $360 or $0 here. Its called bad debt, should've been written off months ago. Charlie is not the person who owes you, it is bitinstant ENTITY that owes which consists of many owners. Charlie did not personally harm you and just like in a court system the CEO of a company is not the one sued here, its the company in general. Either take the $360 or hold your vendetta/stubbornness and walk away with $0. I find it honorable Charlie would offer to pay you $360 as he personally owes you NOTHING.

As the company was doing illegal activity you won't be able to get a judge to give you anything except the $360 you paid AT MOST. Thus, this is your best option here.

I'll care about what you say once you take care of your debt to BigBitz.
That misunderstanding is still the same shit as right here. He made a mistake, I offer to pay his $250 in BTC at anytime he wishes for him to put it behind him. If BTC reaches $125 a coin I will send the 2 BTC he argues owed to his addy within 24 hours. He is not going to hit the jackpot off an unagreed deal and his mistake. Again, as there was no agreement I argue I owe nothing.

Like you, his stubbornness blinds him from reality, either $250 or $0, there is no convincing otherwise.

LOL @ investors who invested in a couple months old company. Not surprised they ran. King Dooglus is the only trustworthy owner around here. Seriously bitcoin should have the slogan: the "parting idiots from their money" coin.

Stunna - word of advice - allow usernames and chatnames to be different. A lot of sites offer this so that no one knows what username is actually the account holders. Allow people to have different names between the two for an extra level of security.

If there was an active bet, it wont have gone to 89k.....eventually you will loose, stay away from it.

The crash point is decided before any betting happens, and its hash is shown to all players.

stay away from it.

try it yourself! Goodluck!

Your advice seems contradictory. Should I stay away or try it myself?

You're merging my replies from 2 different posts. I had no intention to spread fud or talk bad about it, I just generally said that.

Whoever says they won the greed will take them back to money pot and as I said eventually you will loose, I have lost good amount of BTC, having said that I am not saying that I never won I did but played again and again and eventually lost.

Your 2 posts were both referring to moneypot as 'it', and offering contradictory advice about it.

The first post seemed to be alleging that the game cheats and only picks high crash points if nobody is playing. Maybe that's not what you were saying. If so, do you stand by your accusation? And if not, what did you mean by that?

moneypot is one of the few bitcoin games out there where the odds can actually be in your favour if you play smart. There's no guarantee that you will eventually lose.
What do you mean? As a casino game I assume it has a house edge and thus makes you lose. What do you mean you can play "smart" and never run out of funds? Makes no sense.

Stunna do you keep the bank-roll all in BTC or keep most of the $ on trading platforms and buy whenever needed?

I think I recall you saying you haven't sold a single coin. I may be wrong though but if that is the case, with the recent btc crash to an all time low this year you must have lost A LOT of money. With that said are you also more worried of BTC price rather than a whale winning a large sum of coins?
A star bitcoin owner trying to maximize profit regardless of price fluctuactions would have 200-500 BTC, enough to cover whale wins. Then a good amount of USD in exchanges to cover another 1000-2000 BTC probably. Anything profit overtop of that is sold and collected to cover expenses and pay out salaries / investment dividends / retained earnings.

Speaking of which, Stunna, would you be interested in an accountant? Let me know. Can end this bad blood between us (just pay me what you've made off me lifetime as my annual salary).
