Thanks. On a side note, I can't find my ID and the page for finding is missing. It simply shows the "The page you are looking for cannot be found." cloudfare page. So if you could PM me the ID, that'd be great.
It should be under your display name. I can't login. I have the password, the username, but I can't check my ID on the page that's supposed to help you. Due to security concerns, I have set the browser to clean everything: history, cache, cookies... Aside from that, I haven't used PD in a long time so I didn't need to look up my ID. but its strange if you can login and you cannot check your ID because as you on this primedice page you can check all these things easily I can't login, that's the problem. I need my ID to login. I can't use my screen name to login.

I've never played Dark Souls or even looked at game play so I can't really comment on if it's good or not. Would you recommend it to a elder scroll fan?
I've checked out some videos and reviews. It's really dark (hence the name) and gritty. While TES games are more of the western fanatsy type, which is more appealing to me.

If you like good sword combat and have not played Dark Souls, then you are wrong.
I'm more of TES type of fantasy fan and I usually ignore any RPG games made by the japanese due to their style. I also tend to play games that have at least a moderately good first person view, since third person gameplay just doesn't immerse me enough. Besides, in RPGs im more of a assasin/thief/rogue with a bit of magic mixed in type.

I played the very old elder scrolls games and their combat just sucked. I mean I don't know why they were so popular.
I played Oblivion, Skyrim and tried out Arena and Daggerfall. In my opinion, they're all great. When I'll get the chance I'll probably purchase Morrowind. So I guess our tastes in games differ. Aside from that, the previous poster also mentioned that age rewally changes perspective and our expectations. Actually, for me, Skyrim's combat was a bit hack-n-slashy, although I have a mod to fix that. Besides, roleplaying games are a lot based on the story, enviroment, not only combat. And man, oh man, the first game's area was so big that the games they're creating now are only separate regions of the main land. Some say it took over a real life day to travel from one side of the map to the other.

Regarding the gun combat I agree, however sword combat was pretty good in some games. Actually, I only recently started playing games FPS or any other games with guns. Most of my previous games included swords, magic or anything similiar. So I only played Fallout 3 in 2012 or so.
Could be one of the reasons that you thought the combat was bad. Although, creating a good game which involves sword fighting is a little bit easier has you don't have to consider bullet drop and other aspects. Magic based games I haven't really played. I normally just play a sword fighter instead of getting involved in all the magic stuff. One of the reasons? Not really, I compared to other games I've played with shooting mechanics and it just seemed weak and unrealistic. I guess the blind stat increase in melee/magic/archery RPGs (specifically damage) through leveling as well as the genericness of all weapons transfered onto the gun mechanics just didn't work for me.

Well, I played it and the story seemed fine, just the combat seemed unenjoyable. Not just the mechanics, like gun's damage improving upon leveling up, but the feeling as well. The feeling of blowing someone's limb off, still felt like you were doing it with a BB gun.
I see. Well, considering the game was released in 2008, I think it was definitely one of the best games and more realistic games that were around that time. Thinking back to 2008 I can't remember another game who's combat wasn't bad and felt really awful. Well, I guess that isn't all true, it felt amazing back in 2008 but playing them now is a little bit disappointing because of the games we've played which has new graphics and mechanics. I thought that was a enjoyable part of the game that the limbs could actually be blown apart, although sometimes a bb gun looked like you took a rocket launcher to the end and a rocket launcher looked like you threw a rock at them. Regarding the gun combat I agree, however sword combat was pretty good in some games. Actually, I only recently started playing games FPS or any other games with guns. I don't know why, but Fallout 3 just didn't stick to me. Tried playing it, but the gun combat seemed stiff to me.
I guess it isn't for everyone. But, the combat and the game in general was very buggy and unreliable. Some people argue the story wasn't original enough and too predicable. But, I really enjoyed every aspect about the game. I did predict what was going to happen very early on but I didn't think about it too much and carried on. The multiple choice factor really made it a little bit better because you could replay it and have a different outcome. The combat wasn't very realistic and was very easy to manipulate. But, I still enjoyed it. Well, I played it and the story seemed fine, just the combat seemed unenjoyable. Not just the mechanics, like gun's damage improving upon leveling up, but the feeling as well. The feeling of blowing someone's limb off, still felt like you were doing it with a BB gun.

anyone here like open map game in which we can do anything ? I love that kind of game like GTA or AC
Fallout series is my all time favourite. All the old ones were just as good maybe even better than the new ones depending on your preferences. Fallout ? the name of it sounds interesting must try Go for Fallout 3. By far the best game I've played this gen. Agreed. Fallout 3 and Dark Souls are two of the best games ever made. I don't know why, but Fallout 3 just didn't stick to me. Tried playing it, but the gun combat seemed stiff to me.

Doesn anyone know who Hebronine from MineCraft is?
It came from someone's live stream as a mysthical person. It was admited it wasn't real, but the idea was already in many people's heads. Herobrine, in a nutshell, is a supernatural and deceptive copy of Steve, trying to lead Steve to his peril and have fun watching him getting confused in his complex structures.

shortest joke: 2 women sitting quietly Wrong thread, buddy. OP's making the jokes here, not you. I've made a thread for all to post there jokes, so it doesn't have to be just me... Really? My bad then. Guess I'll pitch in. Here's one I've found. A long one, but worth the read: Special High Intensity Teaching In order to assure the highest levels of quality work and productivity from students, it will be our policy to keep all students well taught through our program of SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TEACHING (S.H.I.T.). We are trying to give our students more S.H.I.T. than any other schools. If you feel that you do not receive your share of S.H.I.T. on the course, please see your lecturer. You will immediately placed at the top of the S.H.I.T. list and our lecturers are especially skilled at seeing you get all the S.H.I.T. you can handle. Students who don't know S.H.I.T. will be placed in DEPARTMENTAL EDUCATIONAL EVALUATION PROGRAMS (D.E.E.P. S.H.I.T.). Those who fail to take D.E.E.P. S.H.I.T. seriously will have to go to EDUCATIONAL ATTITUDE TRAINING (E.A.T. S.H.I.T.). Since our lecturers took S.H.I.T. before they graduated, they don't have to do S.H.I.T. anymore, as they are all full of S.H.I.T. already. If you are full of S.H.I.T., you may be intersted in a job teaching others. We can add your name to our BASIC UNDERSTANDING LECTURE LIST (B.U.L.L. S.H.I.T.). For students who are attending to pursue a carrier in management and consultancy, we will refer you to the department of MANAGERIAL OPERATIONAL RESEARCH EDUCATION (M.O.R.E. S.H.I.T.). This course emphasizes on how to manage M.O.R.E. S.H.I.T. If you have further questions, please direct them to our HEAD OF TEACHING SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING (H.O.T. S.H.I.T.) Thank you, BOSS IN GENERAL SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING (B.I.G. S.H.I.T.) Thank you, BOSS IN GENERAL SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING (B.I.G. S.H.I.T.) Sincerely, Dean B. Regarding SMF 2.X , I'm not sure but I think I've heard theymos say that the second version has a lot of security issues, even more than the first one. Security should be one of the key comparison criteria, and it should be evaluated as objectively as possible, not by hearsay. Every product, OTF or home grown, is going to have security issues, but I would tend to trust more the one that has the most eyeballs, and SMF gets a lot. This might be useful: http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Understanding_SMF_SecurityActually, the current version of SMF used here is heavily modified to address many flaws, both functional, feature related as well as exploits.
Every product, OTF or home grown, is going to have "flaws" (requirements gaps). Theymos addressed those of SMF 1.x--we're talking about 2.x. The existence of the customizations has been mentioned repeatedly throughout his RFC threads: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=45372.0https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50617.0but has Theymos documented his mods somewhere? It would be nice to see a list, and then see which of them has been addressed by 2.x or an available mod, and estimate the effort required to recreate the others. Participants in this thread should be asking themselves what is special about the bitcoin community that requires features not used by the other thousands of online communities. It would probably be simpler and cheaper to contribute those additional features back to an open-source project like SMF, or provide them as mods: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/Sorry, I am allowing myself to be goaded into expressing a product opinion. Analysis first.... Actually you might be onto something. Though only checking if the issues in SMF have been addressed is not enough. I think theymos mentioned there are issues not present in SMF 1.x but present in 2.x. You'd actually need to hire a lot of reputable experts to look through and suggest fixes/fix what's wrong, flawed or can be exploited in any way.

i can only play a few games without getting godawfully bored. been doing heroes of newerth for 3ish years, and i can do a little of call of duty.
recently tried left 4 dead 2 since it was available free.. dear god it's so god damn boring.
so you must not like action games then... I find slicing thru hordes of zombies with a samurai sword very entertaining. :-D Regarding L4D2, it's fun to blast, slice or bash your way through hordea, however, I just lose interest after 10-15 hours of gameplay in total

Yep, haven't really seen freelance sig ad offers getting taken up PD is reliable but payouts have fallen steeply
Looks like they're gonna fall even more after the 17th because of stupid spammers. I've heard Stunna mention payments according to ones activity. So it's not so bad for members like me I don't think it'll work like that. It'll be the activity you gain during the month I would've thought. You can gain 42 activity at max during the month, normally 28 and 0 at minimum. Actually, you can only gain 0,14,28 or at really rare cases 42 activity (if at the end of the month you have slightly less than 14 active days then the during the next month you will get 14 more activity). So metering on that is kind of unpractical. I don't see how its going to work either. I think just making the rules more stricter and anyone posting spam or crap should be barred from any payment. They're strict enough. Besides, Stunna can barely keep up with checking at least a few dozens of post of every participant and you're asking for stricter rules.
