5981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's in europe - ID limits on: July 26, 2020, 05:11:28 PM
Even recently there was a person who was running a bitcoin ATM company without any license or following any KYC rules with over 100's of ATMs across California malls and now he is facing federal charges.
Running a business without licence and not asking for KYC when buying/selling BTC up to certain amount are two completely different things. Getting charges and fines for  not registering business, not paying taxes etc will happen to you in just about any country, for any business you can imagine, but some countries like Croatia still don't require KYC  when buying/selling BTC up to certain amount, and I doubt it's the only one in Europe with such laws.
5982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 26, 2020, 12:52:34 PM
Indeed the scary fact of physical casinos is that they will do all kinds of ways so that we spend the money we have there.
And go home without bringing anything, then makes us more addicted and want to continue playing in the physical casinos
It's not just casinos giving free drinks, snacks and various other stuff to their high rollers to keep them playing, but high rollers themselves expect those kind of things, and if not given, they will see that a mistreating and might not wanna come back and move their "business" elsewhere.

I experienced that many times when working in casinos, gamblers explicitly asking for more drinks, and even getting violent if you refuse.
5983  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is This What is Called Professional? on: July 26, 2020, 08:50:59 AM
But in fact they publish our emails in spreadsheet, is this what is called professional Huh We know that email is privacy and not for publication.
How do you think?
It is a bad practice indeed, to reveal email address of bounty campaign participants for many reasons (you might get spam or malware links etc)
With that being said, have you contacted anyone from Bounty Detective and  asked them about that issue (it can be sorted easily, basically just one click of the mouse) and another thing, do they reveal email address on all of their bounty campaign spreadsheets , or that was just the case of the bounty campaign you joined?

5984  Economy / Services / Re: 🔥 [LOGO CONTEST] 🔥 Looking for a new LOGO for our Crypto Exchange COINSBOX.NET on: July 25, 2020, 03:32:28 PM
Instead of doing a contest why not hired logo designer to make you one?
From the marketing point of view, it is not a bad idea to make such contest. It has to be done properly though, and not the way OP made it so far.

Thank you for your comments. We increase it to 150 USD. I will update the first post.

The list is interesting, but we want to involve as much as designers as possible to create more ideas.
You might as well increase it to 500 USD for that matter, but it won't worth much unless you get someone to escrow prize pool. Since you said that you want to get as many designers as possible, that is the only way any decent designer would join, since you are brand new account with no reputation here on bitcointalk forum. Honestly, I never even heard about Coinsbox exchange.
5985  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM Alert] India's popular YouTuber, carryminati's CarryisLive channel hacked on: July 25, 2020, 01:39:50 PM
Are these Youtubers not using cellphone verification to log in in their gmail serviced site like Youtube, I consider this negligence if you are popular you know that you will be targeted and this is one big reason why you should secured your account, hackers are very good right now if they can still hacked account that are cellphone verification secured.
Those affected YouTubers probably have (or atleast should have) 2FA protection enabled, but what those hackers usually do is: they contact YouTubers asking them to advertise their software. They install that software to check it out, but what they do not know is that it is malware infected, making them loose access to their account and channel.

Many of them are simply not careful enough and not aware of all the dangers of installing unverified software, and that's why we have so many of them hacked lately.
5986  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Sportsbet.io (Withholding funds) on: July 25, 2020, 09:55:47 AM
Here is the yellow card from yesterday, which was suddenly wiped away after (I suspect) a phonecall to one of the mods from bitcointalk.
Both flags (Type 1 and Type 3) raised against sportsbet.io are inactive at the moment as they don't have sufficient support. That is why you probably can't see  warning anymore, it is not part of some bitcointalk conspiracy that is going on here, that's just how flag system works. If those flags get enough support, warning will be visible once again.
5987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 25, 2020, 09:17:51 AM
This video actually showed me why online ones are better.
Tricks that casinos use :

https://youtu.be/MZ1yhmhbucc
To be honest, this video is nothing special, and most of things mentioned are common sense, and not stuff that "casinos doesn't want you to know". Like it is obvious that there are bunch of camera in casinos, they don't hide that at all, and bunch of stuff are just generalizations, like high ATM fees or releasing lavander smell to relax the gamblers (honestly never experienced that and I visited quite a few casinos).

While I do like online casinos too and they do have some advantages (they usually have higher RTP), I still prefer brick&mortar ones, simply due the atmosphere there, it's more fun, especially if you are there with a couple of friends.
5988  Economy / Economics / Re: What brings economy of a country down. on: July 25, 2020, 08:46:39 AM
That's exactly how it is in my country. Depending too much on oil and now that oil price has plummeted, things ain't going too well. Diversity is the key to a more resilient and strong economy. It's like having various sources of income, so when one source isn't delivering as it should, the others can help keep you going.
We have similar problem in Croatia (lack of diversification) as we rely too much on tourism, and now with Covid19, that's one of the things that was most affected.
Tourism generates approximately 20% of our BDP, and this year's revenue from tourism will go down more than 50%, so it's pretty much obvious that we are screwed, and not just this year, as I have feeling this situation might be continue in the next year as well. We are not alone in this though, all Mediterranean countries have similar issues.
5989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN] IEO starts on July25] [XTK] -Xtake.cash - Universal Blockchain Income 🔥 on: July 25, 2020, 07:39:28 AM
Reading the previous pages, I don't think those newbies are really interested in investing on this project. The IEO will start tomorrow and I don't think they can raise good money from here. What are the plans of the team if in case they can't collect their target finances from this IEO?
Of course those newbies are not showing genuine interest. They are part of the bumping group, and all of them are most likely controlled by one or few persons max.
It is a shady practice, as those accounts usually promote just about anyone as long as they are willing to pay. It doesn't matter much to them whether it's scam or not, they take the money and do the work.

But what those that are hiring them doesn't know is that bumping doesn't work anymore as it used to, and it won't bring them good kind of attention, as it is very obvious what is going on here.
5990  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Monolith Whitepaper is Plagiarized on: July 24, 2020, 04:10:27 PM
What a lazy attempt to profit on someone else's work, or in this case MaskerDao. I can see that they couldn't even share normal team members pictures, instead they went with heavy edited ones, and that is always a suspicious thing as well, makes no sense to do it and it looks unprofessional.
From what I can see, they didn't waste time by getting organic "traffic" on their ANN threads either, but instead they decided to hire shillers to fake the interest, hoping someone will fall for this bad money grab attempt.

Both users tagged, and good catch zasad@!
5991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's in europe - ID limits on: July 24, 2020, 12:34:01 PM
There is an option in Croatia called BitcoinStore which is actually a physical exchange where you can buy/sell up to 2000 EUR per day without ID. According to the latest information, their fee is around 3% - but if you decide to visit them, be sure to find out more by contacting them via e-mail or social networks.
Just wanted to suggest him the same thing, to come to Croatia and do the business via BitcoinStore. Since limit is 2000 euro per day without ID, he basically needs 4-5 days to buy 1 BTC,.

@OP  since BitcoinStore has physical store in Split (2nd biggest city in Croatia and very touristy place) you can combine that with a nice holiday on the Adriatic coast Smiley. Or if it's closer to you, you could do the same thing in Zagreb (just without the sea part).
5992  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: July 24, 2020, 09:48:12 AM
One more announcement thread added to the list of those that are using bumping services:

🔥[ANN] IEO starts on July25] [XTK] -Xtake.cash - Universal Blockchain Income 🔥
Account used for bumping have a long history of such practice. Before Xtake, they worked on several ANN threads  like Goldario, Sensitrust, CryptoParadise, FSM and a few others, showing that it's not a coincidence that those accounts appeared on this thread as well.

Beside hiring bumping service, Xtake has few more red flags like organizing IEO without revealing the team, OP of their ANN has been tagged before for shilling/promotion of aa ponzi scheme known as Algo Hedge Fund. All in all, dodgy project that should be avoided by everyone.
5993  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Bitcointalk Menadžeri on: July 24, 2020, 08:01:29 AM
5994  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of loin share -newbies- on: July 23, 2020, 08:13:05 PM

Do people still believe in trash like that? Those who do must be stupid.
Unfortunately people still fall for scams like that, and what's even worse, they still fall for those ridiculous BTC doublers that are most obvious and worst kind of scams, especially when it's held by one of those hacked YouTube accounts.
But all this is not specific just for crypto, it's not any better in numerous standard pyramid/mlm schemes. You know how they say, "there's sucker born every minute" and scammers are aware of that fact.

@OP you might have a typo in your title, you wrote "loin" instead of "lion".
5995  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which VPN to pick? on: July 23, 2020, 02:16:02 PM
For those using VPN just as a means to access blocked resources or for everyday casual browsing I would recommend VPN99 as an cheap alternative to free VPN solutions. However, consider these following drawbacks before making a decision to buy monthly plan: you can't use streaming services like Netflix when this VPN is used
I tried so many different VPN services and the only one that worked reliably for Netflix was Express VPN. All others were either not working, or stopped working after few days, as Netflix is very active and constantly flags servers that VPNs are using.
Express VPN is not cheap though, with 100 USD for 12 months might even be the most expensive on the market, but for streaming services, I haven't found anything better so far. Beside Netflix, you can use it for Amazon, Hulu, Disney + etc and it's fast enough for 4K streaming.
5996  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Buying bitcointalk account on: July 23, 2020, 01:34:37 PM
Anybody wants to sell their bitcointalk account? No need of trust ratings or anything. Even if you're a Member or above that will work

Contact me on telegram : mikeholden

Why would you buy Member account from someone else when you can easily upgrade your own account to Copper Member tank and remove most of the restrictions? It costs measly 0.0027 BTC and you are good to go. Instead, you got your newbie account tagged, and even if someone contacts you that is willing to sell account, chances are good it will be a scammer. From what I can see, you are on the forum since 2016, you should have known better than this...
5997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 22, 2020, 08:11:49 PM
Looks like WBA will get direct promotion to Premier league!!!!

Brentford is losing against Barsnley and WBA has 2:2 against QPR at the moment! Brentford has buckled under pressure it seems and I think WBA will be clutch in the last minutes of the match and manage to win this evening.

Seems like Bilic will finally have some luck after all!  Grin
Too early to celebrate imho, Brentford just scored and it's 1-1. If they score one more and WBA vs QPR stays the same, they go directly are and sending  WBA into playoff. Judging by their current form, they would have hard time winning that and getting into Premiership. They really got themselves into nerve wrecking situation, they had 2-1 and complete control of the game, and instead leading 3-1 they managed to complicate it once again..

edit:
It is locked now, WBA is in Cheesy Brentford is losing 1-2 again Cheesy Pressure was too much as I said, they had a monster run up until last few rounds.
Time to celebrate WBA's promotion in Premier league, matches are done as I'm writing this post!!
Yep, it's over, WBA is back into Premier League after 2 years! Well done Slav!
5998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 22, 2020, 07:57:36 PM
Crazy situation in the fight for the 2nd spot in Championhsip that leads directly into Premier league, none of the three teams that actually have to win are doing so great at the moment:
WBA vs QPR 2-2
Brentford vs Barnsley 0-1
Wigan vs Fulham 1-1

If it stays like this, WBA gets the 2nd spot and direct promotion. Fulham needs both WBA and Brentford to loose in order to reach 2nd spot, while Brentford has to win and then wait for WBA to draw or loose.
5999  Other / Meta / Re: Do you check the merit history of users before meriting them? on: July 22, 2020, 04:34:40 PM
The question is very simple: Do you do any checks before you award users with merits or not?
Since I have very limited amount of merit to share, I gotta be careful who I give merit to.

If user is low ranked (Newbie, Jr Member) and I am about to merit his very good post, I tend to check his post history just to exclude possibility of plagiarism (I just google bits of the posts. Might be overkill, but well..).  If I am about to merit high ranked member that is pretty unfamiliar to me, I do tend to check his previous post and merit history, but just briefly, nothing in depth.

6000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dogdata Ecosystem the First blockchain for Dog life Data. on: July 22, 2020, 04:06:17 PM
Thank you for the advice.. and for that it is not a payment but to appreciate our community that helps dogdata. not much different from the bounty. You will get something to do such a comment on Bitcointalk.
It is a payment, you specifically said that you will give 1000 ETHBN to anyone who writes about Dogdata in this thread, and if he provides you proof (screenshot)/, This is definiton of paying for comments.

And this is what theymos said about such practices, and about the penatly
Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

So, it doesn't matter whether you make bounty campaign and pay people to write in your thread, or organize it via Telegram group, it is nevertheless forbidden, and if someone reports that, you may get your ANN deleted. Just wanted to give you a warbing as you are obviously not familiar with bitcointalk rules, and you should be if you plan to communicate with bitcointalk members here.

Here is the list of rules, in case you are interested Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
