Once again Max did the fastest lap and got the poleposition.
Ferrari was very close but in the second attemp something happened to the track and it was more slippery infact not a single driver improved their timer with the new red tires.

Only Hamilton improved with harder tired, he did his fastest lap with the yellow tyres over the the red tyres.

Simply incredible... The only holder of pole positions in F1 this year continued again in ABSOLUTE fashion in search of his sixth victory this season. He  recorded a time of 1 minute 27 seconds and 241 milliseconds yesterday, and that was just 0s1 over Charles Leclerc who was in second place.

And speaking about Magnussem... he certainly "breathed a sigh of relief" this weekend when despite receiving three ten-second penalties for exceeding track limits and gaining an undue advantage against Lewis Hamilton, he was acquitted of the charge of unsportsmanlike conduct. Do you believe this punishment should have been maintained?

After the race, Magnussen admitted that the tactic used in Miami had already been employed in Saudi Arabia to benefit his teammate Nico Hulkenberg. The Dane did not contest the penalties, but his comments and the driving itself led to a call from the stewards to analyze the conduct
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC? on: May 05, 2024, 02:24:25 PM
Casinos existed without the need for KYC's until the government made it a requirement, and they started demanding it. IMO If the government no longer requires casinos to do KYC verification for new gamblers, casinos will go ahead and still do KYC verifications because they have seen the benefits of knowing their customers better than when they just allowed people to come onto their platform and gamble without their knowledge of who they were. What do you think? Do you think some casino's will revert back to non-KYC and allow money launderers, plus other fraudulent people have their easy way with them as a way to attract customers, or since they recognize the personal benefits of KYC to their casino, will continue demanding it even if it affects their customers?

I agree that KYC is not a government requirement, so much so that no government has ever imposed conduct procedures on exchanges or casinos regarding what to do in relation to customers of a given platform.
So, see KYC as an auxiliary tool for casinos to get to know their customers better, know that they really are who they claim to be and thus have less risk of internal fraud and also to have reasons that justify a "minimum of control" and present this information to governments if they are accused of facilitating money laundering.

You see, not even in physical casinos, which have been known for laundering money for years, there is such a history of KYC requirements. Is it because governments were "softer"? Certainly not.
KYC is above all laws, security for the website itself, as it does not know who is accessing its website.

So, even if the government is no longer required to have as much control over fraud, I believe that KYC will continue to be required.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: May 05, 2024, 02:18:24 PM
I agree with you that when we win, we immediately cash in the winnings and enjoy them because that is a very safe step for us as gamblers.
It is clear that balance in controlling ourselves when gambling is very important for us because this behavior will lead us to a safe path and will definitely avoid or minimize bad things in our lives. that is, when we win or lose, thinking about maintaining consistent self-control is clearly very useful for us so that we don't play excessively and limit bets when playing gambling.

In the same sense of withdrawing winnings or not, I once got into a discussion about cash-out... withdrawing before the bet was completely concluded.
The conclusion in this discussion is that there is no right or wrong and that there are several points to analyze where everything depends on the profile of each bettor and also on the game, because when it is safer, cash out can become completely favorable, as more aggressive people see it as negative.

There are players who want to make several quick entries and exits, and use cash out to boost their bankroll quickly, as long as they make accurate bets and withdrawals. On the other hand, if you are not very accurate, the final result will be very negative as the cash out will most of the time be a value much lower than the final profit.

Anyway, here too in the case of withdrawing winnings, I have always argued that 50% must be reserved or withdrawn, but this also depends a lot on the profile of each player.

67  Local / Brasil / Re: 2 a cada 10 brasileiros GASTAM menos do que GANHAM on: May 03, 2024, 11:36:53 PM

68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2024 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: May 03, 2024, 11:28:07 PM
Anyone thinking about betting on the Corinthians x Fortaleza match or at least following this game?

I believe that Corinthian has the advantage and is more "calm" after winning the last two matches, they were matches with very significant scores... 3 to 0 against Fluminense and "an upset" against América-RN, in the third phase of the Brazil's Cup.

Some say that Corinthians' behind-the-scenes actions could negatively affect the result of the game, as Rubens Gomes' departure from the club's board of directors could have consequences for Augusto Melo's management. It will be!? For now I don't see any reasons that justify this.

Speaking of Fortaleza, I wouldn't bet on them Tongue even after their draw against Red Bull Bragantino in the last round of the Brasileirão and having one more point in the table than Corinthians.

Anyway... Corinthians may lose again (which I would like), but I believe they will win again and "say goodbye" to the bad phase.

Sports betting used to be based solely on "bolões de bar" (I have no idea how this name translates) found all over the country... in the region where you live, there are also "bolões"

I don't know if this exists outside of Brazil, but i would try "sweepstake bar"
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2024 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: May 03, 2024, 11:14:54 PM
pole position for the spirnt race obtained once again by Max's redbull, with Lecler very close.

It should be noted that Norris' Mclaren set a significantly faster time in the second part of qualifying and with harder tyres.

Mclaren to keep an eye on as he they brought a huge upgrade to the car, we'll see how he competes in the races tomorrow but apparently he could easily fight for the victory.

Its a fact that in the last Grand Prix contests it was possible to notice a significant evolution in Mclaren cars, which have much better performance in high-speed curves. The Ferrari does better in low-speed curves and straights. So the format of the circuit defines which of the teams will have an advantage in each GP.
But, in general, teams are balanced and even so, after the last two Grands Prix, it was clear that Mclaren will trouble Ferrari in the fight for second place in the Constructors' World Championship.

I think Norris seems to be more confident behind the wheel compared to recent years... he has stood out a lot and is more familiar with the tracks. Piastri also demonstrated a quick adaptation to the car in just two years of F1 and the Mclaren's car is seen as one of the most difficult to drive. At least this was precisely one of Daniel Ricardo's main criticisms when he left the team at the end of the 2022 season. But in fact... Mclaren is not for "every driver" Cool
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you cashout or wait for the game to conclude? on: May 03, 2024, 11:05:54 PM
I saw this on the media so I decided to bring it here in the forum for us to discuss about it. If you notice in the first image, the bettor played a very risky game which comprises of 15+ games with a huge fee of 1m naira. Please take note that this post is not to promote risky gambling or mislead people to emulate his strategy cause left for me I think he's lucky if he happens to win this bet. Now back to our main point of discussion which is on the second image, out of 17 games, 15 played with just two left and based on the date in the image I think Austin FC won Los Angeles Galaxy 2-0 making it the last game left, now if you were the bettor and was given a cashout of 12.4m out of 36m to be won would you rather be patient for the last game to conclude or you'll go with the cashout? Also note that if you cashout you are safe atleast you have made 11m plus extra cash and if you decide to wait it's either you lose or win 36m, what would you do?

I never make bets that big, in fact I don't think I've ever bet on more than 5 games in the same bet.
In any case, the difference in money is very large between waiting or making the withdrawal (3x more) and this decision depends only on how relevant this money is for those who bet.

I say this because depending on the financial situation of the bettor, 11 million naira may be an insignificant amount and so it is better for him to wait for the final result of the games.
But, if the scenario is different, such that these 11 million can "change the life" of the bettor, then he should definitely make the withdrawal before the result of the last match.

Ultimately, in every bet there is no right or wrong, what is many for some is little for others. Each person has their own betting, loss and winning limits... so it is each player's duty to bet according to their financial situation.

72  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Vocês aumentariam o próprio salário se pudessem? on: May 03, 2024, 12:23:03 AM

74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 03, 2024, 12:10:13 AM
$1,500 to return nearly $100,000, the Milwaukee Bucks are the last leg, would you cash out for just over 50% of the payout or let it ride? Let me know below. I cannot properly hedge this parlay so I can either cash out or let it ride.

I would certainly withdraw 50% or more of that amount.
Obviously there are always chances of winning more, but think carefully about what would make you more frustrated:
Losing a large part of the amount won in a streak of bad luck or failing to win a little more because you were a player with "little faith"?

In my country there is an old saying: "It's better to have a bird in your hand than two in the bush".

In every type of bet, you need to establish limits on losses and gains, in my case the rule is simple: withdraw 50% whenever I manage to multiply my winnings.
This way, it is possible to continue betting after having the great achievement of a successful prize, otherwise it is common for you to bet, have great achievements, but end the day with nothing in your wallet.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 03, 2024, 12:04:58 AM
Mason Greenwood the former player of Macshter United left the team because he was under investigation and the fans were not happy to see this player in the team and they asked the team to stop working with Mason Greenwood. Also, Mason Greenwood was losing his focus and had a bad performance in Manchester United. That's why Mason Greenwood joined Getafe and he was playing them. But since the contract of Getafe with Greenwood is about to end, he should return to Mcnshter United.
But we don't know if Greenwood can ever play for his team again or not, Greenwood even has some other offers from Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus.

I believe that Manchester United's decision to permanently sell striker Mason Greenwood in the coming months is correct, and this should be treated as a priority within the transfer market. I just think that the final decision will only be made at the end of the season... my opinion.

Despite his troubled return due to the accusations, he was very successful in La Liga football. With less than a year since his return he has already attracted the attention of several football giants. In other words... for those who play well, any "other subject" ends up taking a backseat.

It is a fact that several European newspapers have cited teams that would be interested in signing the striker, the main ones being Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid. However, Getafe, for example, would also be interested in acquiring the athlete outright, but I don't believe they would have the purchasing power (money) to enter this fight.
The fact is that Manchester United is very interested in this negotiation and, with the money acquired, should reinvest in new signings for next season.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: World female football. on: May 02, 2024, 11:55:54 PM
When it comes to club , I don't see Brazil having a another crazy run to win Liberdatores cup year after year and that is because more and more players are leaving for Europe club at a very early age and that will automatically affect their clubs performance. However , when it comes to international football , Brazill will always be top3 and always one of the favorites to win World Cup but also Copa America and personally , I'm a huge Brazilian fan when they play at world cup and maybe with a bit of luck we can win at USA 2026  Cool

I once read an article that Brazil repatriated more players than sold them abroad, but this only happens after these players, still very young, go to Europe and through some misfortune they end up not developing or adapting well. to an international team, and then they return to Brazilian clubs.

And a very curious piece of information is that when analyzing the values of these transfers, it is possible to notice a very common pattern in Brazilian football.... Selling athletes abroad yields much more money than buying these same players when they return to Brazil . Until two years ago (I couldn't find more recent data) most negotiations with players who returned to the country were made with athletes without a contract or who were loaned for free.

As expected, the "financial factor" is the main reason for these departures and the tendency is that we will continue with this movement for several years as the economic situation of Brazilian clubs is currently still very bad.

Anyway... in the absence of a career plan, the protection mechanism for Brazilian clubs is the termination fine, but in most cases it does not prevent the departure of great players from our football.

Fonte: https://polymarket.com/event/how-long-will-czs-sentence-be

according to insiders the announcement of Adrian Nevwy's farewell will be made tomorrow, it was supposed to be today but it was delayed.

According to these insiders, the favorite for the hiring is Ferrari and he should work for the 2026 car.

So even if he signs this month with Ferrari he shouldn't be able to work for the 2025 car, I believe due to company secrecy contractual rules.

Yes, that exists...The current agreement between Red Bull and Newey runs until the end of 2025, however there is still a so-called grace period, which prevents the immediate hiring of employees from other teams.

And with Newey's early departure, a lot is expected to change in F1, as the engineer would be available to work fully on the new team for the 2026 project, and that year there will be a change in Formula 1's technical regulations, with the next generation of engines.
I'm sure that, unofficially, some partnership will be made this year and that Newey will already start putting his plans into practice to take over with strength and a "new project" pre-architected for 2026.

I have a lot of respect for Newey, I consider him one of the greatest designers of the modern era of Formula 1... he was responsible for Williams projects for a long time and was mainly responsible for the creation of the revolutionary FW14B with which Nigel Mansell was champion. Then, at McLaren and finally now at Red Bull.... in all the teams he left his mark.

Mohammed Salah is a very important player for Liverpool. So it is not a bad idea for them to actually try to keep him in the squad. It is definitely going to be very hard for them to actually replace him. He is getting old it's true. But right now he is not that old. He is 31 years old right now. That is not too much in my opinion. At least if he is being able to give a good contribution to the team, he should still be a part of the team.

In fact!

Mohamed Salah is very close to making a decision about his future at Liverpool... the Egyptian player has been highly coveted by Saudi Arabian football since last summer, but according to the newspaper "The Athletic", so far he is "ignoring" the offers and has given no indication that he might leave, so he must remain on Merseyside.

Looking closely, Salah's contract with the Reds only expires at the end of the first half of 2025, so there is still a lot of time until then, but Liverpool should probably prioritize renewing his contract in the coming months to guarantee the player's permanence. and put an end to these speculations and "harassment" by Salah once and for all.

I believe that this should be defined after the imminent arrival of Dutchman Arne Slot, who will take over the team next season with the departure of Jürgen Klopp and will certainly want to have the best players in the squad without the risk of important absences.
