I'm skeptical that this attorney is ready for something like this. As far as I can find, she's only been practicing for 2 years and it's mostly traffic court. KNC with our millions may eat her alive.

The alternative is just to sit by and do nothing.

Have to wonder, were yields so bad on first batch of chips that KnC is waiting for second batch of chips to finish batch 1 orders?

What is the progress of this lawsuit, as i signed on to it also. I'd love to know where we are at and how far this can go? As they made 200 million, i think that shutting them down and suing them for all their assets is in order cause they got rich off their customers money, it no longer belongs to them.

Class action lawsuits take YEARS to resolve, so you might as well let your children know so that they are around when you aren't to collect the money.

I'm no KNC shill. I bought a Titan and I am pissed. You can laugh all you like until your Spondoolies boat anchors ROI amiga.

~L)L~

So why did you buy a "no refunds" product in the first place? By that time KNC had a good history of failing to deliver. No one should be surprised they didn't deliver again.

I agree in retrospect it was obviously a bad decision. At the time it seemed like the risk/reward ratio was reasonable. We've had a perfect storm with the Titan … collapse in crypto-coin values, late delivery, poor quality product. I still expect to recover my costs, but it's not going to be a slam dunk.

With respect to the refund issue, lets wait till the fat lady sings. Late delivery of a product that doesn't meet its specification and is unreliable is always grounds for a refund, KNC no-refund policy or not.

This is why you need to confirm with the manufacture before you buy something that it's going to meet their expectations and yours before you throw down the money. If they can't give you that guarantee then you should to buy your product elsewhere. This is common sense on the consumer level, yet people seem to always make the same mistakes on every level.

So I have a die that isn't working.  Running at ~260 Mh/s max since receiving it.

I read this on the KNC titan support forum:

Quote
1 Test the board individually with different data/power cables. Please also plug the data cable in a different port on the controller board. If this board does not have a die issue when ran individually, it is most likely due to a faulty cable connection, or lack of power from the PSU. If you cannot get the die to switch back on, contact support for more assistance.

I tried all of the recommended steps before emailing support.  Not realizing they wanted a screenshot of BFGMiner, I sent them a screenshot of the Advanced screen.  A day later Liam responded back that he would need a screenshot of BFGMiner.  OK, sent them that.

A day later he responds (paraphrasing) "Oh, I see you're mining at <...>  They have problems with the titan.  You should switch to one of these pools <...>

Then he closes the ticket.

Riiight, it's the pool causing a die not to work...WTF  Angry  Roll Eyes

It seems if you took the time to read through threads on KNC's own forum you might actually have found out, yes this is the case, and there is a new interesting thread on the subject.

Any CA batch (batch 0) customers received their bonus Neptune yet?

Have you bothered to read any of KNC announcements?

Go read them, then if you still can't find the answer come back and I will point it out to you.

Awesome! Unlike Scarborough Town Center you won't get killed at Square One so this is good news indeed!

There are not killings in Scarborough Town Center silly.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / New BTM (ATM) in Square One - Mississauga on: October 08, 2014, 06:04:04 PM
I reported one the one was was spotted by a co-worker at the Scarborough Town Center yesterday. Today my brother sent me a picture of one he saw a Square One is Mississauga, ON, Canada.

Looking back a the picture from the one in Scarborough Town Center I just came to realize that both BTM's (ATM's) are CAVIRTEX machines. That's Canada's Bitcoin Exchange - https://cavirtex.com/home

Way to go guys!! Smiley

I have a bitcoin core wallet which says it is 1 year 49 weeks behind, how long on a I7 3.8ghz 64bit quad core until it is no longer behind?

I figured it would have to catch up until it finally finds the deposit I made into the wallet in that app?

It will take a while to download. With my i7 and 100Meg internet it still takes me about a day and half to download bitcoin data doing it from scratch, which if I remember is about 340 days I think.

Scarborough Town Centre you say?

In related news, the number of BTM stick ups continues to increase...

Scarborough is no more as unsafe a place as the Toronto downtown core is. If you look at the numbers there have been more shootings in the core of Toronto than any other municipality combined!

I logged into my MultiBit this morning and noticed a .3785 transaction from last night.  My MultiBit is encrypted and the dat file stored offline...how is it possible for someone to have gotten my monies?

Use a more secure password. Use one from grc.com/password. Steve Gibson's algorithm never generates the same password twice, so even if someone got their hands on it would take them several life times to hack your wallet. Smiley

Monday delivery for me too.

Anyone know what I should expect to pay at the door for this thing in Canada?

$1698.78 Sad

Mother fucker....

I wonder if you can ROI that $1698.78 with a titan   Cheesy Sad

- You missed the delivery date.
- Your Titan's power consumption is way higher then stated previously.
- Your Titans still can't reach a stable 300Mhs and cubes are getting out of order..
- Your firmware can't fix the unstable cubes.

Why did they start delivering ?

If you don't want to pay tax speak to your government but you can't blame KNC for that...noob! Smiley

Duty in Canada from the EU is HST + the brokerage fee. The only way you can get around is if you own a corporation, UPS will charge you $45 to get it a import license and you'll only pay for the PST side of the tax. So for my Neptune I paid 1465$ to UPS while a friend of mine paid $500 in change.

Has there been any indication yet of when the compensation Neptunes are going to be shipped?

(The extra/duplicate Neptunes for the first and second batch buyers...)

-MarkM-

KNC has stated when the batch 3's are shipping our 2nd Neptune's will ship. Right now Batch 3's aren't shipping yet.

Got some bad news guys.  I was reorganizing one of my Titans which has been running non stop for about 5 days when I noticed that the PCI-e socket on one of the cubes is already starting to burn:

I am using dual Seasonic 1250W PSUs for each Titan which have pretty high quality cables.  I didn't start seeing any signs of burned sockets on my Neptunes until around the 2 month mark so I am getting concerned about these Titans.

Stock PSU cables aren't not, let me repeat, ARE NOT pretty high-end cables. They don't even start to come close. You need to buy 16AWG cables from this guy. http://www.shakmods.com/shop&&#!/~/product/category=3316088&id=37642162

Those are "HIGH-END" cables. The fact that the cables started to melt at the cube end suggests they were plugged in correctly or they simply are cheap quality cables.

Queue update: order number 1990x switched to "in progress" when I woke this morning.  Hopefully ships in next 24hr.

What was your paid date ?

March 19th, 8 hours after the pre-sale press release.  16:49 knc time.
They haven't even made it through the first day of orders.  I'm somewhat happy they didn't meet their Q3 promise...now I get to mine and be a part of the class-action suit against them for breach of contract.

Breach of contract, did you sign anything with them that promised they would deliver? Unless you have something in writing and you can re-allocate to Sweden you will have a very tough time suing them for anything.

Your best bet to reach out to KNC.

How much more of a jump is it to go from 475Mhz to 500Mhz on a Neptune, I know I do about 3.4TH/s at 475Mhz but I am not sure how many TH I can do at 500Mhz?

If you're hash rate doesn't change then your estimated change probably won't change much if you have shelved shares.... this is normal.

OK, but if the estimate is between 0.45x and 0.5x every 3 hours at my current has rate and in 5 hours what I had hashed is still the same, then there is something wrong. Smiley
