Operators can run their campaigns however they want as long as they're within the rules of the forum, but I think things like this should be stated upfront as part of the terms of the campaign if it's an issue but I don't think users should be expected to refrain from promoting competitors without warning. I can see from the operators perspective why they wouldn't want this just like if you were advertising for Pepsi they wouldn't want you advertising for Coca Cola or promoting any other drinks but this would all be laid out in their contract and I think it should be the same here and made part of their rules if it's something they don't want. Rather than recommending the product they're advertising they should probably just refrain from posting on the subject if they can't remain impartial under the terms of their campaign, which is what I would do in this situation.

So they finally posted the fight trailer and it's even more epic than the Fury/Ngannou and AJ/Wallin ones: https://youtu.be/uw-c-J90_ZE?si=Bx5Hu30z2poHon8oAt least they're starting the promo now. If it had've got to Feb with nothing I would have assumed it wasn't going to happen.

To add to what I said above, I think someone might have asked this question before a very long time ago and if I remember correctly theymos even commented on it if someone wants to do some digging to see what he said.
Yobit and Cryptotalk had their signature campaign to shill Cryptotalk forum in 2019. Because initially it was a spam campaign, Bitcointalk community reacted to it and yahoo took over the campaign to clean spammers from participant list. theymos even banned the Yobit account here because of abuse and some spammers from that campaign but eventually, he allowed Cryptotalk forum to advertise here via a signature campaign under yahoo62278. I don't think that was it. I think someone else directly asked whether it was OK or allowed to advertise a competing forum and thyemos gave his opinion.

Why would we get involved in this? Seems pretty fascist and antithetical to the spirit of the forum.

Are you sure you can't even view your sent messages once banned? Not sure that's true, but they were the standard hey x i've replied to you here etc.
Yes, I am sure. I will try sending an email anyways. You don't understand the question, hilariousandco is saying that you can view the list of sent messages even if you are banned. He is not talking about sending a message to anyone on the forum. Obviously, you are unlikely to be able to do that. It does appear that he can't via the screenshot provided, but not allowing people to see their outbox seems a bit weird and it's the first I've heard of it. Don't suppose it matters either as the messages were reported.

Check your outbox. It seems you sent several phishing PMs.
Thanks for clarifying But, I am unable to see my sent messages ( outbox ) as it shows an error message with "You are not allowed to send personal messages" as I am banned. I didn't bother to check my outbox from around a year as I have not sent PMs to anyone here from long time if I can recall correctly. If this is a case of my account getting hacked and the hacker trying to send phishing PMs from my account to get it banned, what could be the best way to resolve this quickly ? I can sign a message from my known address here if that could help. Also, can I request to see the phishing PMs the hacker was trying to send from my account, it seems to have added more curiosity around this for me. Are you sure you can't even view your sent messages once banned? Not sure that's true, but they were the standard hey x i've replied to you here etc. As for trying to recover the account see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0

when were the phishing PMs reported? @OP, just curious, can you access your account? I checked bpip.org( https://bpip.org/Profile?p=hacker1001101001) and it looks like the password was changed on December 26 via email and then on December 27 the account looks like it was banned. The first was December 27th and then two more on the 29th.

If satoshi decides to sell his coins OTC to someone giving him his private keys will those coins have a premium ?
Nah, We have had old Satoshi era addresses waking up and transferring their coins, some probably to exchanges no one has talked about or cited any premium attachment to those joins. Bitcoin mined in 2010 is the same as bitcoin mined in 2024 in price. The market dictated the price. The only people I see going crazy over these are the ordinals' brigade because they know they will sell hot air to the noobs for abnormal profits. It's a moot question, but if Satoshi did want to sell his coins or even just the private keys I think they would sell at a premium. I'm sure Craig Wright would love to get his hands on them as that would go a long way to furthering his scam if he could sign a message or send funds from one of them.
