The 2nd half is currently underway, and I'm some 40 minutes away from getting some good points off this, if it stays a barren draw.

EDIT: I jinxed it, I guess... I shoulda kept the fuck quite  Sad Sad Sad

I was really hoping to see some good points from Pot B, alas, your luck ran out early. Nothing happened. No Mbappe/Sancho 3+ assists goals, and no 0-0. Just a lot of drama and close misses.

Yeah, I meant that would have made the pool really more interesting down the final games for those that split their stakes on different tempting odds, I still have one final lifeline though, which would be a goalless final, although that's much more improbable, with the potential extra 30 minutes of play if the 90 minutes should end goalless, regardless who Dortmund get's to play in the final, I'm looking at a very cagey game, and 0-0 is not going to be a huge surprise, after all, the last 4 UCL finals have all ended 1-0.

Jamal Murray not facing suspension, but NBA hands Nuggets star massive fine after throwing heat pack on court.

Quote
The NBA will not suspend Jamal Murray for throwing a heat pack onto the floor in Monday's Game 2 loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he has drawn a $100,000 fine, the league announced Tuesday. Amid an awful start, Murray couldn't contain his frustration, and late in the first half, with the Timberwolves already leading by 17 points and Murray on the bench, the Nuggets star threw a heat pack onto the court mid-play.

And it's obvious that this is a sign of frustrations from Jamal Murray as he was lock-out by the Wolves and he can't get anything going on game 2 at their homecourt. He is lucky that he didn't get any T right on that game and not suspended as the NBA knows that he is one of the stars of the Nuggets and so he needs to play game 3.

And with that, Murray realizes that they are not facing the LA Lakers anymore  Grin.

Jamal Murray should know better especially when the object he threw could have caused a severe injury if a player had slipped on it, and Karl Anthony Towns was the closest person that could have gotten injured being a big guy, I doubt he would have been able to continue with the playoffs if that had happened to him because of the possible impact.

While Murray's action was inexcusable, the league seem to have quickly taken interest on this one and made a decision, but what's happening with the case of Pat Beverley whose actions were even more absurd and shouldn't be tolerated in any form of sporting events let alone the NBA where strict rules on this kind of actions are enforced, I've not seen the league say anything about the incident or have I missed something ?

As everyone expected the Boston Celtics got a dominant win over the Cavaliers. They're just too much better of a team. I was a bit surprised to see Dallas get beaten by so much by the Thunder. I’ve underestimated the Thunder along with everyone else all year, but I thought this would be as far as they go. If they get to round 3 I might have to start paying attention.

OKC just showed the entire NBA fans why they were No. 1 seed of their conference, it was no fluke! Yeah, I didn't anticipate such a terrific offense from Oklahoma City Thunder, and they also limited Doncic efficiency and Dallas to a joint lowest point scored for this playoffs. Luka hasn't at any point been 100% fit, and I really do hope he hasn't aggravated his injury because for Dallas to stand a chance here Luka Doncic is a must have for this series.

I'm going the opposite I'm taking the under on this game.  I think the cavs will struggle to score on the road and are completely dependent on spida who is hit or miss.  I got the Celtics in a 108-93 win tonight.  Also taking the Celtics line tonight.  Cavs struggled against a very inexperienced young orlando team Celtics shoukd take them to town.
What was the line for the under/over? I do hope you cashed on the under since the shooting performance of these two teams was all over the place. In the first quarter, they dropped 74 points then barely put up 34 points in the second quarter, and i'm glad they secured my over before they started bricking in the last few minutes. The same thing happened in the second half and earlier, I noticed the over bettors getting tilted by the state of the game.

It was a complete dominance from Celtics, I think everyone should have expected this, at least for the game 1 with how exhausting the last series was for the Cavaliers and how much time the Celtics have had to prepare themselves for this game, that still is inexcusable for Cavaliers losing that much in a second round playoffs. They should be able to get some adjustments done before the second game and maybe Jarrett Allen would be back by then, they really could use his service right now.

Jason Tatum to the rescue for me, I had him on 10+ Rebounds @ 2.00 Odds.

  vs

Big match for team notblox1 at home stadium with full capacity we are waiting for team Harkorede in Round 9, one of our logo bros team Grin
We answered differently on four questions and that should be enough to decide who is better prepared in this season.
Some of my players was felling tired in training and I had to bring some replacement from our youth team.
Good luck everyone else in this round!

My players are derailed psychologically after the stunt pulled by the BSFL FA to overturn a win to a draw, But we are looking to dig very deep to make the most this and get a positive result from this tie though.

I hope my team will be able to convert at least 2 of those 4 shots they'll be able to attempt for this week, the coaching staff feel quite confident that the team are still capable of doing that even despite losing their morale.

I don't know if we'll get BTTS here after the halftime ended goalless, although there were a few times either team could have taken the lead...

Fact that PSG failed to score is something crazy. But it's unbeleavable how little luck they had, I already lost count how many times they hit post or crossbar in both games. While Dortmund didn't wasted moment that they got.
Happy for Dortmund, everyone saw them as underdogs, not many even saw them in semifinal.
Now waiting for Bayern's turn and repeat of 2013 final.

PSG sure deserve a better result or at least send the game to extra time, to be fair. However, I'm not surprised at all that they didn't score or progress to the next round, they weren't an all perfect team in the previous round, they got lucky in the 2nd leg against Barcelona has the tie quickly turned in their favor, but everyone run out of luck at some point right  Cool

Now, Let's have an all German final, should be cool too, right ?!

AFAIK, there is no active self-moderated topic for Champions league and don't really want to post in spam megathread.
Struggling to find bets for this game. Went with BTTS but odds is a bit too low. Don't really want to see PSG reaching final. But that 1 goal advantage from 1st leg isn't something significant.

Denver Nuggets - Minnesota Timberwolves - Denver Nuggets (-3.5) The Nuggets cannot give one more at their home. Force a win.

Good luck everyone. Have a great day.

Denver Nuggets are in a very deep and tough scenario right now, they are trailing by 26 points at halftime... That's a very huge deficit to cover in 24 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves defense that looks highly impregnable even with one of their big and best defensive asset in Rudy Gobert out, going 0-2 on home court is the biggest recipe for disaster here and this series might as well be considered over, if they can't find a way to get back into the game right now.
They're only down 19 right now with 11 mins left in the 4th. They could come back but the way the defense has been for the Timberwolves it would seem very unlikely.

They gave a stat earlier that both these teams went 2-2 during the regular season and each team won both games on the road, so maybe the Nuggests don't feel any pressure so far.

Thank you, I actually wasn't aware of the regular season records between them until your post, I guess that's why the Wolves could come in here playing like they're not the road team, I just think this being the playoffs might be of better psychological advantage to them and, they have actually learned something tonight which could be how to survive defensively without Gobert.

23 points lead less than 7 minutes, and the Wolves still are playing like they are the trailing team, Reggie Jackson headed for the locker room with what seem to be a leg injury, everything is heading the Wolves way right now, the Nuggets would definitely need to hold on to that regular season belief, that's all they can do right now to keep themselves afloat in the series from here on.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 07, 2024, 03:48:52 AM
I can smell Boston heading back to the finals once again.
If ever they win against the Cavaliers, I don't think that either Pacers or NYK will be easy on them. We know that Celtics have been struggling always if they're against the Miami Heat but there's no poison on them this time.
Because Butler was out that's why it was easy for them, but the Cleveland Cavaliers, this is another team, they haven't meet in the playoffs yet so we can't say if the Celtics could just easily beat them. mitchell has been in the playoffs many times consistently in his previous team, so this stage is not new for him, he will be the leader of the Cavaliers and will try to make it a tough challenge for the celtics.
Yeah, it might be a different story this time and we'll see what will happen. But for now, I am excited to see the 2nd game of Nuggets and Timberwolves and game 1 of Pacers and New York Knicks.

It's actually been the same story all over again but the story is even been written in a pretty much explicit fashion here, and to understand how near perfection the Wolves have been all night here currently leading by 30 points with about 4 minute left in the 3rd Quarter. This is the first time in my entire life of watch the NBA to see am team not use a timeout until about 5 minutes left on the clock in the 3rd, that's Minnesota while Denver Nuggets already burned 5, that goes to show how much of a control the Wolves have exerted over this game from the tip-off.

I have recalculated everything due to F1 result change and Sainz penalty, - what kind of mafia job was this, huh? Puppet masters to the F1 Cool

A mafia job involving solving a non-existing simple mathematics problem using Formula 1...

Good theatrics, at least we know the extent of the mafia's influence better now, If we don't already.

Today everything is decided on formula 1. This does not look good for me. What can save me is if Sainz or Leclerc drives out, It probably won't happen but that's my hope for 3 points 😂😁Good luck Harkorede😁

Probably the most boring and at the same the most intense game I've played here, I mean from having not to look forward to all week to my team coach popping blood pressure pills with the final 24 hours is quite on the end of two extreme, my team had their best performance of the season so far, evident with being the Division 1 Team of Week, but were only able to scale through by a whisker, that shows how much of a tough game it was for both parties. GG mate!

What an exciting match it was even though we only had 2 different answers😁😂Lucky for me that Sainz got a 5 second penalty Which means that he ends up in 5th place. a draw is ok for me😁

Such a bummer for me, if feels as though I lost the game, but I would be lying to say you don't deserve a point..

I hope this doesn't weigh down my team's high spirit.

I'm still losing 3-2 against mv1986 but we gave different answers to both remaining questions so I still have a chance. I need Ferrari to take 38-42 points and Tottenham not to lose against Liverpool. Or, if I win F1 question then I just need Salah not to score to make it a draw. With losing one point in the final minutes of the game, I'll take a draw. Especially against mv1986 who is sitting on the 2nd place.

I don't want to have your hopes up, but aside the Tottenham not losing against Liverpool, your chances seem good, our fate for game week seems to be intertwined with the final question as I also need the Ferrari 38-42 points to secure all 3 points, with how things are and ceteris paribus, I don't think Ferrari should score less than 32 points, but there are very fine margins between every other options that could make me have to settle for a draw which wouldn't be positive result for me either, given how well I seemed to have performed for the round generally.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 05, 2024, 04:21:12 AM
Ant getting 43 points on 59% shooting carried the Timberwolves tonight. If he keeps this up the Timberwolves go all the way.

That coupled with 1 steal and 2 blocked shots, he literally played 42 mins and had just 1 turnover despite being primarily guarded KCP all night long. The Timberwolves has everything that the Lakers lacked against the Denver Nuggets which is a team effort organized defense and the ability to stay oriented in a game for 48 minutes. If Timberwolves should get as opportunities as many the Lakers had with multiple double digits lead in each game before before fumbling it, this would be another 4-0 series sweep for the Wolves.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 05, 2024, 01:08:29 AM
I’m watching this Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets game and Anthony Edwards looks like he’s trying to do something special. The Nuggets have battled back into the lead after being down huge in the first few minutes. It seems like Denver has the momentum now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Anthony Edwards ends this game with 50.

Opposite of Jamal Murray. In the last 1 minute of the 1st half, Jamal Murray is still scoreless. I'm not sure, but he looks like he's hurt right now. I placed some bets for him to score over 22 points, but I don't think it's going to happen. There's a great chance that Edwards can score 50 points tonight if the Nuggets don't change their defense; KCP can't handle Edwards. Maybe if Aaron Gordon guards Edwards and let them KAT play, lol.

Jamal Murray actually ended the first half scoreless, and that was his first career NBA playoffs scoreless half (according to one o the commentators) but then he's has since then found his mojo at beginning of the 2nd half, he's currently up to 15 points with a 5/13 and 2/4 behind the arc.

There is about 6+ minutes before the game ends, with the Timberwolves up by 3 points, this game could likely go down to the final shot, but Minnesota with quite a bit of foul troubles, KAT on the ropes here.

Ferrari finished in 1st palace , I didn't know how many points had so far
I think it's 31 points so far, for Ferrari, or 41?!!

No mate the main race is until tomorrow, and Ferrari still have 11 points in total so far, but they have a very strong chance of finishing well above 32 points for the grand total. The results you see so far is only for how they get to line up for the final race tomorrow which is
1. Verstappen - Red Bull, 2. Leclerc - Ferrari, 3. Sainz Jr. - Ferrari, 4. Pérez - Red Bull, 5. Norris - McLaren.

That said, anything is still possible and nothing is final until tomorrow.

Arsenal won 3-0 with a goal scored in 97th minute, that might be the one I'm losing already.
I wouldn't be so sure as Man City is leading 3-0 at the halftime and I doubt that it will stay like that considering the Wolves didn't park the bus.

Getting close to the win as at the moment I have 4-2 vs entebah and Barcelona is leading 2-1 vs Girona at the halftime meaning it could all be over before Sunday as there are only 2 questions left. I just hope that I didn't jinxed myself as I managed to loose seemingly won match earlier this season.

My own fixture has just only got started, now to get an edge or have it remain at a stalemate while awaiting the break through from Miami Grand Prix, I need Barcelona vs Girona to end with a Barcelona win and Under 3.5 goals or Barcelona not win at all, conflict of interest at its peak for me.

Edit:

Ferrari with a 2nd and 5th finish at the Sprint race, that's a total of 11 points so far, I guess that's some positivity to hold onto.

BVB is really known to be weak in important games Cheesy

But at least one German team playing in the final would be really nice.  Smiley

So good chances that they might screw up their next games?
For Dortmund, it's always possible to screw up important games.  Cheesy Cheesy

I'm rooting for Dortmund to win against PSG but it's quite possible to see PSG to advance.
Bookmakers have PSG to win at home against Dortmund at 1.50, so quite likely we'll see a PSG win or a PSG win and at least overtime or penalties.
A Dortmund win or draw, which would mean Dortmund is going to the final is at 2.50 currently.

With the first game at Borussia ending 1 Nil, There is a decent chance that the 2nd leg could end up a barren draw, right ? I mean that'd be such a massive hit for about the 6 of us who went for the 2nd leg to finish with 0 goals, and I think a couple of people went all 10 points in, that would be quite a paradigm shift that'd disrupt the POT B to a significant level, if I'm not mistaken.

@Hhampuz : Im currently 4-0 though but there are still 5 more question, Im hoping that this wont turn into an ugly reverse sweep for me

Should you find a way to lose now, you sure will go down in the history books of BSFL and I'm very sure you'll grab the headlines for Trofo's Article, are you sure you don't want to go down in the BSFL Hall Of Fame just for a 3 points sacrifice, not everyone get such shot at history you know Wink
