61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Youre Being Lied too (crash) on: April 10, 2013, 07:58:21 PM
I've already stopped and pulled out ALL my BTC from all the exchanges!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fvSYT7vhQY < This is what made me do it!

I'm moving to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27055.0 Dark Exchange.

Anyone with me? I'll do anything and everything in my ability to help users join!

I am just now re-downloading I2P, so this will be the first time I try Dark Exchange. I was going to work on coding something like it anyways, why not use something that's already there?
62  Economy / Speculation / MtGox acting fishy? Not in the lag way... on: April 10, 2013, 07:52:07 PM
Doesn't it seem weird that the depths are short during a noticeable downfall?
I think it's because I watched this video yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fvSYT7vhQY

63  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW? on: April 10, 2013, 07:41:12 PM
I was coding a project to help keep me safe from events like this happening while I was at work.
Turns out, I was 1 day to late from finishing. >.>

Just finished pulling ALL my coins out of the exchanges.
Something seems VERY fishy! I'm saving all my coins off-site.
64  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Free bitcoins with surf4bitcoin.com [0.3202198BTC] on: April 10, 2013, 02:44:06 AM
Good idea, although doesn't installing a plugin that has access to all of your web activity kind of go against the whole TRUST NO ONE sticky...
Yes, lol.
65  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where did my 3.1052 bitcoins go? on: April 10, 2013, 02:27:13 AM
In a few minutes, if no one tells me to do otherwise, I'm going to erase the blockchain and force a reload, but this time with the wallet already in place. I'll remove everything from the data directory and insert the wallet.dat file. Then I'll find out tomorrow if it worked.

LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD DO SOMETHING ELSE!

CTRL+F type in "-rescan"

Does it show a list of receiving addresses in the client?
Have you tried -rescan?

I haven't tested any others. That was the only one I can vouch for.

the thing is both offer very convenient payout solutions and the fee is just 1%.
It's up to you to decide. Check out http://blockchain.info/api/blockchain_wallet_api if you don't feel like hosting it yourself.

Thanks! This looks pretty good and exactly what I am looking for. However we would still have to go through Mt.Gox or bitpay for a cashout, right? Or blockchain has a cashout feature?
I would check out https://fastcash4bitcoins.com/ for cashing out. I'll add my vouch for the site's owner. Very trustworthy.

You could bypass fees and having to trust others with your money by holding it yourself. Think safe.

72  Economy / Economics / Re: When to "move the decimal points" ? on: April 09, 2013, 10:41:57 PM
Wouldn't the only bad thing to come out of extending the decimal points be the increased size of the blockchain?
The scripts that people use would allow the extra decimals to be optional and just pass as 0's.

The effect would me neglible.
If that's the case, then alt-coins will be a must.
73  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Free BitCoin Site - Bookmark essential on: April 09, 2013, 09:38:42 PM
You are using short-links/urls to forward to bitcoin's website and the download sites. It's not a requirement, but I wouldn't trust short-links/urls. If I where to go to my banks website, I wouldn't want to click on someone else's url.

Last question I promise! Cheesy
What country are your servers located?
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Free BitCoin Site - Bookmark essential on: April 09, 2013, 09:26:00 PM
The fact that you hid the links to Bitcoin's website and the download links for the Windows client but no the Mac client makes me suspicious.

Nice muscles! Any information on the guts or your backbone?
77  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain.info fees on: April 09, 2013, 09:18:08 PM
What's your address for donations?
If you've got too many coins... Smiley

But I guess you meant to test or show that it can be set lower.
The first. I was going to donation because Frozenlock is helping spread the message of Bitcoins! <3
Does starting a topic on a local forum and getting about 10-20 people interested count? xD
Yes!
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Where does the change go? on: April 09, 2013, 08:52:12 PM
I think what might make it easier for people to understand what's going on behind the scenes is for the Bitcoin-QT software to SHOW THE BRAND NEW ADDRESS as soon as it is used for something, instead of keeping it "hidden" behind the scenes.
That would be awesome! Like a button to popup a list of "pool" addresses.

The third address is in your wallet (in the "pool"), but hidden
Yes you control it, and before you ask, yes it's VERY misleading
I guess I never noticed this, but is the other address follow-able?
