1041  Economy / Goods / Re: Modded PS3 Slim w/ 1TB HD on: August 29, 2011, 05:26:16 AM
What's the reason you are wanting to sell this badass modded PS3?
1042  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1 gram .999 fine silver "bitcoin" rounds *********type 2*********** on: August 29, 2011, 05:03:09 AM
I'll have a small number of Type 1 and Type 2 rounds available for sale for folks who want to purchase in small quantities in the U.S. once I get the latest batch from Mick.

Cheers,
Kermee
Pricing on Type 1?
What would be small quantities?
1043  Other / Off-topic / Re: Good VPS or Dedicated Server? on: August 29, 2011, 04:50:15 AM
So I actually just tried Linode today.

Their staff was knowledgeable and quick to respond to my problems.

That said, their service seemed unable to handle the web-traffic for Search Bitcoin. My website was down for many hours today.

I do not know if the issue is because of either (a) a software limit that I can change or (b) a hardware limit.

In either case, I switched off of them after a few hours.

So it looks like I may have to try another company.
If you need a temporary place, let me know (PM).
I can set you up on our servers (cpanel) until you can find a host for yourself.
1044  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Solar Powered Mining? on: August 29, 2011, 04:47:38 AM
Someone should hook up solar and skip the DC to AC to DC steps. Just go DC right from the panel. Of course you will need intermediate hardware to get the correct volts and amps for each component. Radio Shack will come in handy.
Maybe there might be a way to setup a BIOS & OS on a 6990?
I'm SURE that would be faster!
1045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Solar Powered Mining? on: August 29, 2011, 04:37:24 AM
I'll keep looking into Solar Powered Mining...

also if you thought my information was useful. im having trouble flashing my 6950 bios. being a sweet hero member and all if u or someone u know who has 411 on this issue could help id appreciate it the link to my post is (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39988.0) thx Cheesy
I'm more into software than hardware.
1046  Other / Beginners & Help / Solar Powered Mining? on: August 29, 2011, 03:42:31 AM
I live in Texas, it's fucking hot with TONS of sun.
How much power could a solar panel(s) bring?
Would it be enough to mine with even an FGPA (eh, I forgot the name...) miner?
1047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hurricane Irene's affects on Bitcoin! on: August 29, 2011, 03:40:38 AM
I heard ~1 million people were out of power because of the hurricane.
1048  Other / Meta / Re: Forum for Exchange API software development on: August 29, 2011, 03:32:22 AM
So you're looking for a section just for API releases?
1049  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore users on: August 29, 2011, 03:31:19 AM
That's probably for the best although i noticed that moderators can and that could cause quite a mess

If it causes any problems, I can prevent mods from being ignored, as well. I think it'll be OK, though.
Maged was threatening to ban me.
I'm not mad, as I can see where he/she might be coming from...but a little drastic.
1050  Other / Meta / Re: don't let people change usernames on: August 29, 2011, 03:25:14 AM
Done. Now only moderators, Donators, and VIP members can change their names automatically. Other members should contact me. I'll probably ignore your request if you have less than 50 posts (unless your posts are very good).
I shall be forever NothinG.
1051  Other / Off-topic / Re: The New Moderated Bitcoin Forum on: August 29, 2011, 03:12:48 AM
Let me see if I have this right. Bruce took his bat and both balls and left this forum to start, not one, but two new Bitcoin forums today. Is this how a leader leads? What next? Gavin starting his own ?coin because Satoshi won't come out from hiding in the closet? I'm lost for words. Simply lost for words.

If nothing else, I did find a new playground this 13 y/o can play in. It has slides, merry-go-rounds, teeter-tatters, climbing ropes, and a bunch of other neat stuff. It's called Off-Topic. Thank you, Bruce.

In the very least, I believe we can all agree on:
The Cake is a Lie!

...right?

I respect him for having such high interest in Bitcoins, but am loosing respect for him loosing interest in it's one of the most popular forums.

I'm too much of a dick to join your forum.
I say what needs to be said (through my way of thinking), not what others want me to say (through their way of thinking).

I dis-liked my experience with Giganet although they do have quick and knowledable tech-support, 1their servers aren't fast for my taste.
100tb has some quality servers with a bad ass panel.
Midphase is a sub-company of 100tb, but I like 100tb's panel better.

1058  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Going offline for hurricane irene on: August 28, 2011, 05:53:17 AM
1/5 of my miners down due to lack of power. Written on my iPhone here in darkness.

So your power is out, but only 20% of your miners are down?
Call me crazy, but I would expect 100% of your miners to be down right now.
Even with a $160 brand-name UPS you only get a few minutes of power when you're powering several video cards...

I take it your generator could only handle so many of them  Wink
I'm guessing 3G WiFi hotspot->PC NIC #1->PC NIC #2->Miner?
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin (?) Purchased at Walmart (STE) on: August 28, 2011, 05:24:41 AM
So how do you feel about buying from a company that uses it's ties with the government to get tax breaks, zone exclusions, and other things not available to smaller companies or family owned businesses?

Where some see evil, others see determination.

Looks like an excellent opportunity for Bitcoin. Walmart could now easily say, "Fuck you, banks! We have Bitcoin."

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending

Walmart is worth more than all the bitcoins so far,
USD wins; for now.

Shut up and enjoy your donuts!

@OP: This cake is apparently NOT a lie.
Wait...WHAT'S THIS?
Time Traveling Cake?

You cut the "cake" and it grows back.

WHY OP, WHY!!!
