How do i sync with network my wallet?
0 acvities. Recommended nodes added.

  At least 1 of the block explores has nodes listed under network.  It's the 3rd one on the 1st page.  Didn't cut/paste it.

PIVX Blockchain is <1 Gb.  PIVX can’t have a 51% attack.  Just saying.   I’m just really trying to understand why people like VTC over PIVX.
Because this topic is vertcoin.
Sorry no I did not help I need to launch the QT wallet, so I have 2 mesacny file wallet.dat where I know what are my coins. But you can't start the QT wallet. After running the connection for 1 minute, and then no connections with the network and synchronization is not. After adding a node does not want coodinates I network and synced.Once again, please lay out here working file vertcon.conf
Now and again I need the text of the working file vertcoin.conf, not your comments.Thanks in advance!

.

   Those may or may not work.  They were added a long time ago.  I still use that conf file, but I also have a peers.dat that is probably used to connect.  Not sure but sometimes the block explores have nodes you can use.

Well - i go more with the "polish the product first" theory. Too many people will take a look, leave and never come back IMHO at the current state.

Is it already possible to gain in game points? If not you should wait at least until this is implemented before going big with marketing.

   Agreed.  From an investment stand point it's better to have and keep players, then it is to make some noise, for the sake of making noise.

I don't think you understand. It's an early release and even with a finished product "polishing" will be needed in form of patches, updates etc. should we wait until every single fix has been implemented until marketing starts? how do you even define the term "marketing"? It's an ongoing progress which at the moment is toned down. It's not "making noise for the sake of making noise". Advertisement and other efforts are very much needed now for the sake of the whole game experience because players are waiting 30-45 minutes to play a single game! And that (player numbers) my friend is not a thing which can be fixed solely by "polishing"
Have a look at this for orientation: http://steamcharts.com/search/?q=beyond+the+void

Update: I waited 21 minutes this session.

   I don't play games (Last time was Mario).  If the lack of players is part of the perceived problem, then there should be more advertising/marketing.  If it's because people are playing and not enjoying it, then the game should be fixed first.  Of course you don't wait till it's absolutely perfect.   But if you jump the gun and get a lot of people interested and then let them down, they will not be back.  Doesn't matter how good you make it.  I know your not going to please everybody, but I would leave it up to the designers to make that call, they have a lot more experience then I do.

  Plus hopefully they are being mentored by Ubisoft, and have very good behind the scenes guidance.

Thanks for the details .

Actually what you quote confirm a bit what i wrote :
if you go there  :  https://github.com/presstab
you will see that he is on a very active developpment on PIVX. but did not made any commit since more than 2 month on HyperStake, as he is the only one dev it can rize questions.
anyway, i do not want to send bad news, just looking for some insight on the project health and activity as there is so many POS projects to check now.

   No, not bad news.  Hyp is, what it is.  It works.  Has been around for 3+ years.  bitmaster1x is working on things outside of the code. And it's extremely cheap at the moment.

It may have future development work, but that is not a given, so you have to factor that in.  This was one of Presstab's first coins.  He come's back as he has time.  I know he's also involved with Pivx, but I don't know the extent.  Maybe Pivx is his day job and he's moonlights on Hyp....  Smiley

   I've been staking for just over 3 years.  I trade a little of it.  I would guess I've about broken even.

Sorry, as i am new to the thread, i did not read the 347 pages, just firsts ones and last one.
can you sum-up for me or point me to the good page number plz.

   Sorry it was a few pages back.

My first week of full time crypto development work... it has been a busy one! And doesn't help that monday was a holiday here in the US. But, the good news is that I have spent a lot of time working on HyperStake this week, mostly focusing on BIP38 paper wallets in the QT wallet. Right now I have a lot of it working, but am wrestling with automake and makefiles  Cry

Next on my list will be staking governance system as well as light weight syncing that will make it a lot easier for newcomers to get up and running.

Love spending time working on HYP again Smiley

Hi all,

just new guy starting to stak on hyperstake, yesterday i looked at github repository to check the activiy of the developers.
There is some bad insight => only one guy (presstab) was really active, and he does not commit anymore on the project.
Moreover checking on his activity on github i found that he is commiting now on another project  : "PIVX" coin.
A software that is not maintain die ... i am concern now about Hyperstake.

What do you think guys ?

   I think you need to read back a couple of pages.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2017, 11:42:07 AM
How come blocks are never even 100kb in size but the limit is astonishing 8Mbs? What was the point of forking?

The point was

1. To Block Segshit from being in the block chain
2. Increasing the Transactions Capacity so the fees are lower and transactions complete faster

Segshitcoin is currently 100 thousand unconfirmed transactions, with people complaining that they paid $14 to send $187 , and the transactions still have not arrived.
Only the stupid waste money & time like that.

╥Aztek
But that's rather pointless since nobody is even using BCH to come anywhere near the 8MB block size, It's like installing wind splitters and wings on a pinto. It may look "cool" to some, but it's stupid and it is not doing anything functional. Even with 200kb block size limit, BCH would have cheaper fees, since nobody cares about this shitcoin expect for chinese miners who dump BTC to buy this crap.
Even if BCH does get wide spread adoption, and 8MB blocks get filled to the last byte, full nodes would have to store (by my rough estimate) more than 100TB data.

OK, I'm not a crypto noob but I'm new to monero. This jinky wallet is pissing me off (slow, crashes, freezes) and bittrex won't even let me send funds over. Where do I find info on a full, clean uninstall to start over?
These 3rd world shills really piss me off for posting rubbish for few cents a day. I hope one day they can find an honest clean job like everyone else.

    I know what you mean.  Is the ICO over?  Do you do bounty?  why blockchain?  ETC.

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN] Nexium [NXC]- Beyond the Void: First blockchain RTS on: November 07, 2017, 05:18:57 PM
How do you think, will this game have any future after release? Ot hype price went up and down, and now just speculation may happen?

We won't comment on Nexium price. However, when the shop with in-game assets will be released, within the end of the year, people will start purchasing NXC in order to buy in-game assets. This way, the token will become less and less speculative, and with a concrete use.

the more items get bought from shop (not traded among players) the more nxc get burned is this correct? do you intend to release burn reports in the future maybe monthly?

    There is a burn address that you can look at in the block explore.  Look under holders, it's the first one.

Poloniex, margin trading Sad

   That might explain some of what happened to the clams price.  Someone was using a large pile on margin, and got called.

"So you're saying that if you are on 2nd sub-balance... and you get a win... it should still stay on 2nd sub-balance and "keep betting 0.00000080 until profit is 0.00001000" right?"

Hello my friend this is exactly what i want to do! But u are right it resets on the first win of 3rd balance! Sad If u ever find a solution pls share it!

You need to check for 3 states.  So you need to create a new variable, lets say sub.  set sub = 1 in the beginning of the script.  Then set sub = 2 and sub = 3 in each of the blocks that set the currentbase.

   Change the check (in the if win block) in HCP's code from..  Aw heck easier just to do it.

Code:
chance=49.5 --sets your chance for placing a bet
nextbet=0.00000008 --sets your first bet.
basebet=0.00000008 -- moved to only set once
currentbase = basebet -- save the current base bet
sub = 1 -- flag to indicate we are using 2nd sub-balance

function dobet()

if profit > 0.00001000 then
  resetstats()
  currentbase = basebet -- reset to base bet
  sub = 1 -- made our profit, reset to 1st sub-balance
end
if win then

     nextbet=currentbase -- reset to the current base

else

    nextbet=previousbet*2.54

end

if currentstreak==-3 or currentstreak == -6 then

   if sub == 1 then
       sub = 2
       nextbet=0.00000080
       currentbase = nextbet -- save current base
   else
       sub = 3
       --already betting 2nd sub-balance, move to 3rd sub-balance
       nextbet = 0.00000800
       currentbase = nextbet -- save current base
   end

end

if currentstreak==-10 then

     nextbet=0.00000001

end
end end

   There are still some issues.  What happens if your on sub = 3 and you keep losing 6 in a row then have a win.  (I didn't do the math).  Also what happens once you get a win, after 10 loses in a row?
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: November 06, 2017, 03:54:25 PM
I don't really trust this increase.
Volume of most altcoins is very low, only some have high volumes and high volatility. Bitcoin forks made altcoin markets crazy.
I will hold 70% of my XVG because I believe in this project and I guess we will see even higher rates next year. But I will also collect some profits, because I think we will see another dump before next BTC fork, then I will buy back.

   You do know what today is, correct?  It's the reason for the current increase.  If it get released and is as good as expected you might be very surprised by the jump.  But..  By all means lock in some profit too....

   There are a lot of "IF's" in the above sentences.

Hello everyone i want to make a script but i need some help!!
The idea behind the script is to run 3 martingales until profit is made!
Let me give u some details for example!

starting balance is 0.00010000
chance 49.5
multiplyer 2.54

i split my balance to 3 sub-balances 1st is 0.00000090 2nd 0.00000900 3rd 0.00009000

What i want the script to do is start betting 0.00000008, if a lose happens it multiplies by 2.54.
If a losing streak of 3 occurs i want it to "go" to the 2nd sub-balance  and start betting 0.00000080. if lose multiply by 2.54 but if win i want it to
start betting again 0.00000080 until profit of   0.00001000
.
Finally if again 3 loses occur before reaching the profit target it goes to the 3rd sub-balances and martingales with 0.00000800 first bet .

I have made this script (my knowledge  is not good in scripting thats why i ask help Smiley  )

chance=49.5 --sets your chance for placing a bet
nextbet=0.00000008 --sets your first bet.

function dobet()

basebet=0.00000008
if profit > 0.00001000 then
resetstats()
end
if win then

  nextbet=0.00000008

 else

  nextbet=previousbet*2.54

 end

if currentstreak==-3 then

     nextbet=0.00000080
end
if currentstreak==-6 then

     nextbet=0.00000800

 end
if currentstreak==-10 then

     nextbet=0.00000001

end end end

What i cant figure out is how to make it  when it reaches the 2nd balance and wins one bet to restart betting 80 cause it goes back to 8!

Any help would be appreciated i think its simple for the advanced users here!

Try this.  I didn't test it, but it's pretty simple.  It should be close.

Code:
chance=49.5 --sets your chance for placing a bet
nextbet=0.00000008 --sets your first bet.
basebet=0.00000008 -- moved to only set once
currentbase = basebet -- save the current base bet

function dobet()

if profit > 0.00001000 then
resetstats()
currentbase = basebet -- reset to base bet
end
if win then

  nextbet=currentbase -- reset to the current base

 else

  nextbet=previousbet*2.54

 end

if currentstreak==-3 then

     nextbet=0.00000080
     currentbase = nextbet -- save current base
end
if currentstreak==-6 then

     nextbet=0.00000800
     currentbase = nextbet  -- save current base

 end
if currentstreak==-10 then

     nextbet=0.00000001

end end end

someone could post some nodes?

Slow sync? Adding more nodes is unlikely to help - chances are you're probably already connected to several. See these earlier messages, including the link to the bootstrap:

lots of this sort of thing in the logs
peer 72.80.55.214:50145: leap backwards in height request, from max 1738831 to current 280001. penalty=6/100

perhaps we have misbehaving nodes messing things up a bit?

I'd say that's a side effect of the out-of-control way that CLAM syncs. This has been a problem for some time and manifests itself as a sync stalling. You need to keep stopping and restarting the client to kick it back into action. The code which emits that error doesn't really fix the problem, it just bans clients that go a little too wild. Unfortunately it's normal.

Need node list, takes days to update blockchain, last 5-6 weeks...

See the msg I posted above a couple of hours ago. This is a known and ongoing problem with the CLAM client. Adding nodes won't help. Sad

Your best bet is the bootstrap: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dooglus/bootstrap.dat

That will give you a head start, but the client will still have to catch up with any new blocks.

Along with the above suggestions, I found only connecting to 1-2 nodes while syncing helped.  (helps keep the orphan count low) Also keeping an eye on the debug file, and restarting the client when I got 751 orphans, or connection issues, helped.  It's still a slow process but can be done.  Once your synced you can increase the number of connections.

hello i have this sequences but what should change that i want multipler basebet *3 if loss ? can u help me ?
this is code, is not mine of course,
thx

chance=49.75
minbet=0.00000001
seqnum=0

function dobet()
if seqnum>3 then seqnum=0 end
if seqnum==0 then betchoice=math.random(1,3) end

if betchoice==1 and seqnum==0 then
bethigh=false
nextbet=0.00000001
end
if betchoice==1 and seqnum==1 then
bethigh=false
nextbet=0.00000002
end
if betchoice==1 and seqnum==2 then
bethigh=true
nextbet=0.00000004
end
if betchoice==1 and seqnum==3 then
bethigh=true
nextbet=0.00000008
end

if betchoice==2 and seqnum==0 then
bethigh=false
nextbet=0.00000001
end
if betchoice==2 and seqnum==1 then
bethigh=true
nextbet=0.00000002
end
if betchoice==2 and seqnum==2 then
bethigh=true
nextbet=0.00000004
end
if betchoice==2 and seqnum==3 then
bethigh=false
nextbet=0.00000008
end

if betchoice==3 and seqnum==0 then
bethigh=true
nextbet=0.00000001
end
if betchoice==3 and seqnum==1 then
bethigh=false
nextbet=0.00000002
end
if betchoice==3 and seqnum==2 then
bethigh=true
nextbet=0.00000004
end
if betchoice==3 and seqnum==3 then
bethigh=false
nextbet=0.00000008
end

seqnum=seqnum+1

end

   What is basebet?  You don't use that in your script.  You have minbet and nextbet.

if !win then
  nextbet = basebet * 3
end

I am planning to invest small amount and try to keep it for 3 months and see where the price goes..
current price is dirt cheap compare to other anonymous coins

But also has more coin supply than every other anonymous coin, keep that in mind.

  Yes, with the current supply you can't expect the same per $/BTC/XVG  price as some other coins.  But if the new tech is 1/2 as good as they're saying, the current price will be a distant memory.

   Be ready to pull the trigger.  You might be able to get it a little cheaper, but I have a feeling the prices will be going up till at least 11/6.  Maybe I'm wrong.  But this will be actual code released not just a white paper or some other scam pump fodder.

   I don't expect it to drop below 100 Sat, and could cross 250 sats.
