Syncing from scratch is crazy slow. Been stuck on 2 year(s) and between 14 - 20 weeks for days now.
That's correct. It can literally take weeks or even months. I've done it, twice, and it did work, but the sync performance is horribly substandard. Took it a couple of days to fully import the bootstrap, but it's working fine now. For those having issues, just download and drop it in the Roaming directory with your wallet file and restart the client. https://s3.amazonaws.com/dooglus/bootstrap.dat

Feel free to dig your CLAMS with FreeBitcoins wallet claiming tool: https://freebitcoins.com/clamchecker/dig_wallet/ (fee and automated) or Just-dice (free and one by one) No syncing required.

perhaps we have misbehaving nodes messing things up a bit? I'd say that's a side effect of the out-of-control way that CLAM syncs. This has been a problem for some time and manifests itself as a sync stalling. You need to keep stopping and restarting the client to kick it back into action. The code which emits that error doesn't really fix the problem, it just bans clients that go a little too wild. Unfortunately it's normal.

Fork happened. I see bump in price. I thought it will be more active. Besides how do i see statistics on players in just-dice. I like the idea of investing in "gambling" , solid investment. Is there any intention to create more sites that will use CLAM as coin for gaming?

See the msg I posted above a couple of hours ago. This is a known and ongoing problem with the CLAM client. Adding nodes won't help. Your best bet is the bootstrap: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dooglus/bootstrap.datThat will give you a head start, but the client will still have to catch up with any new blocks.

Can someone help me out with some information i'm trying to gather?
What was the Bitcoin block height that CLAM forked from back on May 12 2014? I can't find it anywhere. My best guess is that it was around block 300,380.
Does anybody know the block CLAM originally forked from?
