This website absolutely works... you are probably trying to use Poloniex or something.

You need to use Just-Dice deposit address.

We are going to just go with user balances in the near future.  But you need to PM where you have your CLAM addresses at and get your coins back.

Everything is sent via Blockchain atm... that is going to change due to reasons exactly like yours.

Just-Dice will ignore any on-chain deposits smaller than 0.001 CLAMs. From what I hear most other sites that accept CLAM also ignore dust deposits because there has been just too much of it, and it causes the CLAM client to perform very poorly after a while.

I only know of JD and maybe Polo that ignore dust... I believe that most accept it?

hello there,

Get the bootstrap.dat which doogs has posted somewhere on this thread. I believe there is a link on the ANN too... this should help speed up the syncing. Once you have it synced, you can fund you wallet and start to stake. Staking is completely random and honestly, i make a better profit by just investing on the JD bankroll despite doogs commission and the risk of losing coins in case of a big win! I think the current concentration is about 70% coins on the JD bankroll. Doogs also pays out the stakes, JD stakes about 4 coins every 3 minutes and the rewards are distributed based on the physical coins you hold as investment. In case i missed anything, im sure someone else will happily update further!

The bootstrap post is here. I've just updated it with a new bootstrap file.

The rate at which you stake is proportional to the value you are staking. The network adjusts the difficulty constantly and aims to make it so that an average of 1 block per minute is staked.

The algorithm it uses to adjust the difficulty isn't great, and keeps overcompensating. The difficulty swings up and down several times per day. As a result, sometimes we'll stake 6 times in 3 minutes, and other times we'll only stake once in 3 minutes. Just-Dice gives out a maximum of 4 stakes per 3 minutes in an attempt to smooth out the awards. When the difficulty is low we'll sometimes see an hour or so of 4 CLAMs being awarded every 3 minutes. Right now it looks like the difficulty is a little low, because we're averaging more than one stake per minute:

Quote

Slow sync? Adding more nodes is unlikely to help - chances are you're probably already connected to several. See these earlier messages, including the link to the bootstrap:

lots of this sort of thing in the logs
peer 72.80.55.214:50145: leap backwards in height request, from max 1738831 to current 280001. penalty=6/100

perhaps we have misbehaving nodes messing things up a bit?

I'd say that's a side effect of the out-of-control way that CLAM syncs. This has been a problem for some time and manifests itself as a sync stalling. You need to keep stopping and restarting the client to kick it back into action. The code which emits that error doesn't really fix the problem, it just bans clients that go a little too wild. Unfortunately it's normal.

Need node list, takes days to update blockchain, last 5-6 weeks...

See the msg I posted above a couple of hours ago. This is a known and ongoing problem with the CLAM client. Adding nodes won't help. Sad

Your best bet is the bootstrap: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dooglus/bootstrap.dat

That will give you a head start, but the client will still have to catch up with any new blocks.

Along with the above suggestions, I found only connecting to 1-2 nodes while syncing helped.  (helps keep the orphan count low) Also keeping an eye on the debug file, and restarting the client when I got 751 orphans, or connection issues, helped.  It's still a slow process but can be done.  Once your synced you can increase the number of connections.

That might explain some of what happened to the clams price.  Someone was using a large pile on margin, and got called.

Poloniex sucks.

I'm happy to see CLAM off their margin trading.

We really need a CLAM only exchange bad... I've thought this for sometime.

Kef and I have discussed making an exchange on FreeBitcoins.com, but we got so much shit we are working on that it wouldn't be until next year probably (unless our productivity goes up leaps and bounds).

I have to do a question about your airdrop.

I read that I  need to held a balance of litecoin, btc or dodge on May 12th 2014.

So, if I had balances after that day, Am I not eligible for this airdrop right?

Thank you!
