61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 18, 2017, 05:05:37 PM
It sounds like Control PCB but usually the hash PCB is the damaged one tho.  Do you have a 2nd S9 from the same batch to try hashing this middle hash PCB in known working unit?

I don't know what is happening to my miner (S9 batch 2 12.93 TH/s)

https://ibb.co/crCj0k

in Miner status it is showing the between board no hashrate and i try swapping middle board to left and so on but the middle hashrate is showing 0
Firstly i was having old firmware in that the middle board was having no speed and after i updated the firware then also there is no difference

@philipma1957

You can send in just the bad hash PCB if other is working, or you can send the whole unit, whichever you prefer.

Comp Mining is an OPT-IN service for anyone requesting the repair service.  After you obtain the repair ticket number from support@bitmainwarranty.com,

Notify, support what you are sending in.  (Full unit or just bad hash PCBs - Screenshot of Miner Status page before remove the bad hash PCB be highly recommended as an attachment)

Go to https://host.myrig.com and register an account, activate 2FA, and please email support via the ticket your username from host.myrig.com and Active Carrier Tracking Number that shows Package acceptance.  (Weight as well)

Once you receive, acknowledgment from support ticket, please log back in and save your BTC mining revenue receiving address.

Comp mining will takes place while the unit is in transit to Denver, and back to you.

BitmainWarranty brand is transitioning into MyRig

We now offer comp mining while unit is in paid repair.  If it is not fixable, we will stop the comp mining upon discovery of none fixable condition and let you know!

Also, soon BitmainWarranty be reborn as Myrig.com

Yes, but it sucks.  You have to send the ENTIRE unit back to China.  I would recommend sending to Denver (It's not free but shipping was going to cost me almost 300$$!)

My unit was back in 13 days.

What do I send you the dead board or the whole unit.
I am in New Jersey USA

@VRobb,

as always, our hosting option, you do not have to worry about dead units or broken units as it be repaired or replaced at site if it is damaged or broken while in our hosting!  Fully protected option is $60/kw, string attached is shipout is only after unit is not profitable to hash.  (hash to the ash option, and probably in those senario, hosting fee at that time may be even lower to hash a bit longer by migrating to lower grade hosting option we have to keep the unit working longer)
65  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 Miners refuse to start - were working fine. on: April 14, 2017, 02:04:02 PM
please try powr them off, wait for 1-2 minutes, then power them back on again.  Look for any LED activities in front and near the pci-e power connectors to see what is going on.
66  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 - Won't upgrade to new firmware - Any ideas on what to try? on: April 12, 2017, 12:13:15 PM
Are you on USA/Canada/Japan and any other countries that use 100-125v with antminer 1600W PSU?

Negative, thats a no go,  PSU powers up, but no fans, no lights nothing on the machines themselves, absolutely dead in the water?

What gives>? can anyone help?  Huh Huh Huh Huh
67  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S9 Hash Card Out Of Warranty Repair From UK on: April 03, 2017, 02:13:32 PM
Sounds like we can service you out of Iceland.  That be closer and cheaper than round trip to USA from UK.  Do you happen to travel to Iceland by any chance?

please email support@bitmainwarranty.com with subject "S9 PCB Repair - Iceland"

Also, when you email, please take pictures of the hash PCB close up front and back as well as the Big White Label with barcode)  Also, the area near the PCIE power plug front and the back.

Thank you!

Hi.
Lost my first S9 hash card on Saturday. My miner is out of warranty, suppose my luck ran good.
Ive had the card out, no missing heat sinks, no burning only showing 9 ASICS.

Im in the UK, am I best to go with the repair guys in the USA (Colarado)Huh?
I hear there could be a place in the Ukraine but cant find details for them.

Dont fancy shipping back to HK due to the horror stories on here.

Flamer.
68  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need help! on: March 31, 2017, 02:23:25 PM
Are you operating this with PSU with 100-110v?  if so, depends on your PSU's performance/efficiency, it may be pulling more amp than this power strip can handle during the spike.

Internet yes, you may want to keep it stable tho!

I got my S9 and Power supply all set up and good to go, but I am having an Issue. I ordered this https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000HPV3RW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Seems like everything is running fine and then the power bar trips and turns itself off. I also tried other power bars and they do the same thing. (Also tried without power bar in that case the PSU starts blinking red light and shuts off) the only thing plugged into either of this power bars is the PSU. Any idea why it's doing that?

70  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer R4 - dead hash board? Shitty design, read before you send it back on: February 28, 2017, 10:56:26 AM
Did you try power it off, wait for 30 seconds and power it back on?  It may work fully with simple reboot if you reboot it immediately after the hash pcb disappeared or dropped.

new R4 running for ~1 day, dropped 1 board....WTF
71  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Configure Antminer S7 on a different network? on: February 28, 2017, 10:14:59 AM
Easiest way be, configure it to the mining pool you'd like to use at home and make sure the network setting is DHCP.  Then take the S7 to your work place and have them connect it to their network.  You may want to ask IT staff to tell  you what the new IP is and monitor stats from the pool.

if you'd like to change pool time to time and not easy to access your S7's pool setting, please let us know.

HI, I have permission to run my Antminer S7 at my worksite. Now This is my first miner and I'm brand new to mining other then setting up my PC to mine with BFGminer to learn a little. Now since this miner won't be on my home network, how to I configure it? Do I just plug the miner into the workshops router along with a laptop to configure the miner? Then once it is set up with my pool and such, how to I monitor it from home? Thanks.
72  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Best hosting location for mining gear on: February 23, 2017, 04:14:43 AM
We also have fully managed hosting service flat rate at $57/kw (Same Price for 1 unit - 1000 units)
You can control your mining pool and monitor status 24/7
Monthly Payment
Antminer products will receive free repair while in hosting.  (pointing to any rental service servers, multipool style, self operated proxy, or alt coin will void this free repair offer)

*String: hosting until mining revenue is less than the hosting price.  Early shipout available after 6 months, however, there will be $50 disconnect fee and shipping fee of about $75 per unit for shipping fee to USA address.
73  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 is mining but not showing up on the pool on: February 09, 2017, 07:28:30 PM
Power it off and Power it back on may be?  hope that will solve the problem!

I noticed a drop in my miners at the pool(Slush).  Went to go check the miner, everything seems fine.  Went to see if the miner was connected to the router, it wasn't.  Did something just die on me?

Thanks.
74  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer R4 Problems. dead hash boards. on: February 05, 2017, 01:28:19 AM
@boomin,

If your shipping fee is going to cost $65 to Colorado, USA, please email support@bitmainwarranty.com for cheaper prepaid UPS label.  $25 should cover that 1 way.  $50 round trip.

They emailed me a new software updtate - It was the same one on the website!!!  At this point i will cut my losses and send to denver, 300$+ shipping to hong kong is ridiculous when it only cost like 65$ to send here!

Am I Missing something??

@captinkid,

Denver turn around time does not take that long.  If  you are waiting for that long, please send email with your repair ticket number to support@bitmainwarranty.com

Something must be wrong...

@philipma1957.....

phil, phil, phil.....

now days, fan is serial numbered as well for warranty purpose!!!  Its sad but we do see high number of attempts, purchase 1 unit after the old unit break, then attempt to claim warranty via recent purchase.  That trick sadly worked in the past...  we may be a slow learner but learned a lot Smiley

Quote

I would like to swap fans. And send the unit  back with a bum fan and a bum board.

I think I will talk to Yoshi from bitmainwarranty in USA asking him if he would let me do this.

77  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Have to send Antminer S9 away for warranty work... on: January 26, 2017, 07:39:24 PM
If your shipping cost is more than $25 to send the whole unit of S9 or T9 or R4, we can email you the prepaid UPS label for $25.  If your unit has free return shipping in the sales term, please contact support@bitmainwarranty.com for the prepaid label.

Before you send item to Colorado, please make sure Colorado location is a fee based repair, unless unit was purchased with specific terms that the warranty or service be provided to you from Colorado or any other international localized location.

If your purchase did not include this service, and seeking the free warranty, please follow this process.

What has been people's experience with this process?  Has anyone just sent their machine to Colorado?  Who did you send it through, UPS, USPS, FEDEX?  How much was shipping?  Thanks in advance for your response.  I'm going to get it out this weekend.
78  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Low hash rate with S9 bath13, Boards apear to be fine on: January 24, 2017, 03:54:59 AM
You may want to use 1 PSU to power on your S9!  that may help a bit of reducing problematic hash rate

Hello everyone. I have ran into a problem with my S9, so like I usually do I make a video. Basically what  happened is after a successful night of mining, I went to power on my miner this morning and it wouldn't log onto my pool. I believe the pool was down. I tried once again after the pool was up with no success. So I reset the miner, installed new firmware and I was able to begin mining. Well now I'm stuck at a low hash rate and cant figure out why. If anyone could help or give insight it would be really appreciated! Thank you!

My miner is an S9 Batch 13
Here are the two PSU’s I am using.

79  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S9, no matter what frequency I still get XXXXXs on: January 24, 2017, 03:45:51 AM
May be to physically power it off, wait for about 30 seconds and power it back on.  Wait for 10 minutes and log into the control panel 1st page and look for status.  If you see some error connection refused, then the PCB may still in the process of initialization.

It was running for more than a day and then suddenly all XXXXs. I tried lower frequency but I still get XXXXs.
All other miners are running without any issues, max temperature is 88 degrees C.
I haven't tried resetting it and I'm not sure if it will help.
Any ideas ?

@elokk,

Please check the reported tracking number.  Techs will manually handle your repair request but tracking number you reported may be wrong and there may have been internal mix up due to the information not matching up.

Internal data, it shows, it was received on the 9th but the tracking you provided shows, it was delivered in another state on the 11th.

chances are your R4 is ready to go out to you since the the 10th or the 11th this month but may have mismatch identifier (tracking) and sitting in the owner response required que.

P.S: (GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT) please help us by using 1 same Ticket Number for support request on the same item.  Also, communication from 1 email address or one account is also very appreciated for expediting the process.   Burnt PCB is highly unlikely attain successful repair.

I sent an R4 into Bitmain Warranty repair a few weeks ago. Still have not heard back since they received it

Definitely worth spending a little extra money to buy a used R4 that has been verified to hash on both boards and not risk the DOA units from China
