61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The only one detail in BTC that makes me thinking is a scam on: November 26, 2018, 04:27:27 PM
Maybe it was designed in way to give some incentive for the first miners, the early adopters? On that time Bitcoin wasn't so valuable and only few people knew it, if they were mining dust of BTC on that time, probably the only few people wouldn't had continued on this business... Compromising the future of Crypto Currency. I see it as an extra reward for those who first believed in Bitcoin.
62  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Market Stabilizing? on: November 26, 2018, 04:00:31 PM
Sometimes there is a slight impression it's going to stabilize, like yesterday, when it rised to $4100 again, but the resistence isn't being enough to stop the dump that continues right after. We need to give it more time to know if the dump will continue strong or if there will be a truce.
Many predictions say it's not going to stabilize soon, take this in consideration to make your decision about what to do.
63  Economy / Reputation / Re: The Pharmacist,actmyname,Vod.. The mafia trying to get controll of bitcointalk ? on: November 26, 2018, 03:22:50 PM
[...] let members make their own trust lists.

Isn't that how it works now...?  Lips sealed

Yes, theoretically. Not in practice, because a default list conveniently exists, and people assume that everyone else uses it too.

The only way to make each member create their own trust list would be to force them to do this. Not giving a default list, but a blank one without any names.

"Ah, but the newbies will be scammed". Not if they wait enough time to know more about the forum and its members before doing business here.
As was said, the elite is only worried about their own pocket and status, the poor and the oppressed defense justify is just a excuse to keep ruling the environment.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain in Healthcare on: November 26, 2018, 02:20:05 AM
Seems a good implementation. It would turn easier for the medics to know the patient's records with accuracy and it would give more transparency to the patients to see who are the medics that are caring them. The medics' records are very important too, there are medics who commit mistakes and have their mistakes omitted by those who have access to the records.

A transparent and free system for all like Blockchain is urgently needed.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would Bitcoin become irrelevant or remain the King? on: November 26, 2018, 12:57:07 AM
There is a constant attempt to make Bitcoin look irrelevant, but these attempts always fail miserably. When BTC falls, the whole market falls, so Bitcoin isn't losing price because another currency is rising and becoming the favorite one. Maybe some developers think they can defeat Bitcoin this way, dumping BTC and pumping their AltCoins, but it never really happens.

And I believe it will continue this way for a long time yet. Bitcoin is King and even not being perfect it has plenty conditions to rule the market with excellence, providing an awesome experience for all its users.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we still early adopters? on: November 25, 2018, 09:46:40 PM
I don't think we are early adopters anymore, bitcoin has been 10 years in development, I think that's enough time to consider some technology at least beyond the initial steps, early adopters were the ones who bought in 2010, now we are just investors, trying to make the dream true.  Grin

I agree, early adopters were the first ones, the pioneers. After 10 years, the early adoption has already passed, we are living another stage, another cycle already. But without doubts this market has much potential to grow yet. Few percent of the population of each country has access to Crypto-Currency, there are many people to come yet, and with them businesses will come too, increasing the importance and usage of Crypto-Currency on our daily life.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: What we can do now other than saying HODL? on: November 25, 2018, 08:30:53 PM
Besides saying to hold, you can save maximum amount of money as possible (in fiat for now), working anywhere you can, and preparing yourself for the bottom in Crypto-Currency. So once we reach the bottom you can get in the market again with a nice investment and enjoy the rising season of BTC and company.

69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all honesty, who still wants bitcoin to die? on: November 25, 2018, 06:37:42 PM
Bitcoin failure means everything else failure. But seems some developers think Bitcoin has to die so they can compete to take the top 1 position of Crypto-Currency world. It's a risky and greedy movement that can just cause harm to the market, with the chance of taking a long time to recover from this later.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I keep calm and wait? on: November 25, 2018, 06:00:38 PM
No way to know yet if the market will stabilize soon, keep it in mind, it's an unpredictable scenario. Personally, I think it's better to wait, but each one lives a different situation in life, what is the best option for me, might not be for you.

Just be aware that it can take a long time to see BTC price rising again and we don't know if it will still reach even lower. Make sure your financial life is organized for now and if you choose to keep holding, better to guarantee you won't need to cashout your Crypto funds soon.

And let's hope this crisis will be ended faster as possible and the green color will be back to the charts!
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its Bitcoin a good way to save money for our kids? on: November 25, 2018, 05:43:05 PM
I posted Bitcoin can be chosen for long-term investment, but in recent months the price of bitcoin has continued to fall, so I look for alternatives to bitcoin, and in my opinion gold is better to save money, because the risk of gold is smaller and the price stable.

It's good to diversify the funds. Gold is an interesting investment to store your money value on long term, very stable investment option, but thinking about generating some profit there are better options and Bitcoin can be one of them, however there aren't guarantees.

Bitcoin is a good way to save money for our kids, but as there are high risks involved, parents shouldn't rely exclusively on Bitcoin to give their children a confortable future. To rely 100% on Bitcoin is a mistake, but to put Bitcoin aside is a mistake as well.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: November 25, 2018, 03:21:48 PM
You can, but you need to be smart not to put all your money on a single game and on a single time.

That is the key if you lose, and you want to recover it.

Also, i saw a lot of people that at the time that they lose, they start to deposit more funds, and they start losing it all .

Yes, its necessary to adopt a good strategy when betting on sports games. In this case there was an upset on the games he bet, and that is part of the margin of error a gambler has to plan before betting, sometimes the unlucky teams unexpectedly win the game and you have to be prepared for this situation, holding an extra bankroll to keep playing and recovering the lost money.

In sports betting, house edge doesn't screw up our game, as we depend the games results, that are decided technically and not only by luck, so I think it's very possible to win in gambling by betting on sports, since a smart strategy is used, like you said, not putting all your money in a single or few games.
73  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [It's not real communism] or why socialism can still be an answer on: November 25, 2018, 03:52:19 AM
You already have the answer: Communism leads to dictatorship (the worse kind of dictatorship). So why to insist on this idea?

We need clear rules to live harmoniously in society, and in a communist state it's not possible, everything is questionable and dubious, at same time everything belongs to the people, nothing belong to them, it's a total mess.

There will be always a group of people deciding how things will work for most people. A forced equality that communists promises will never work because people aren't equal, each one has his own individuality and many of them don't even want to decide anything, but to trust someone to do this for them (a government, politicals). The same way many people don't want to be bosses, but employees and there isn't any problem with that.

Communism goes against how the life naturally is.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not sell under 20.000$ ! Why you do ? on: November 25, 2018, 03:33:05 AM
If you can wait for a long time, it might worth to wait. But for other people it can be more interesting to sell cheaper than they bought, so they recover part of the investment and try to recover the loss with another kind of investment. And once they fully recover the money, they can get in Crypto market again, helping Bitcoin to rise again. It's a different strategy, but on long term it can help BTC too.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: November 25, 2018, 02:52:38 AM
Yesterday I watched a video about addiction on youtube: https://youtu.be/ao8L-0nSYzg. It was a real surprise to me that according to recent research people are addicted to drugs mainly because they can't bond well with people and are not able to live a satisfying life. The research shows that when an addicted person appears in a loving and caring environment, the addiction kind of disappears (even heroin addiction). I wonder what are your thoughts on this matter and whether you think you could say the same about gambling addiction.

That is not true at all, you said that people are addicted to drugs because they have problems, but i know people that are using drugs on a daily basis and they are extremely succesfull
.
To make it as an example, they have very good jobs, they earn a bunch of money, they have good relationships, but they take drugs too.

It's true, in many cases what happens is exactly the opposite of what the thread's author says: the addicted person lives in a loving environment, with a good wife and children who have only love to give, but for some reason it's not enough for him... He prefers the addiction and destroy all this positive environment he has at home with his family. It's a very strange situation, but it happens.

Some people tend to prefer the chaos in their life, they look for it, peaceful calm life doesn't fit them... Maybe it's about personality, people who like to live without limits.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is everyone so quiet? on: November 25, 2018, 01:51:21 AM
Yes, there are many niches to be explored with Crypto-Currency, niches that can help interest for Crypto in general increase among new people besides the usual ICO investors that are only speculating for fast profit. Gaming industry could help a lot this way if developers created more games putting features on their creations related to Crypto-Currency. It would attract a new segment of rich investors, increasing market cap.

Anyway, the silence now is comprehensive, it's hard to see such falls in the market without evident reasons and stay normal.
77  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is wrong with today's society? on: November 25, 2018, 12:33:21 AM
It's happening because many lies were told so far and no one trusts each other anymore. People see each other as competitors, rivals that are constantly trying to achieve the same goals. There is so much tension on the air nowadays that even little issues on the daily life are a reason to mess with everything around.

78  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is an investment-change my mind on: November 24, 2018, 11:15:23 PM
Every investment has its risks, but some are riskier than others. Thinking this way we are also never safe in life: an accident can happen any time and kill us, doesn't matter where you are or what you are doing... It's very dangerous to start thinking this way, because it leads the person to fear every step in life, consequently the individual will have difficult to make even simple decisions and thrive.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the bottom be reached? on: November 24, 2018, 09:49:28 PM
With the most recent attack wave it has dropped to $3900. It was going well trying to stabilize near $4200-$4300, but there isn't enough strength do to that yet. Seems any resistance now is in vain, the tendency pushes down dragging everything through the way. The bottom isn't clear, and I have seem predictions that it could reach even further, to $2500.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Concerns About Bitcoin ? on: November 24, 2018, 06:17:53 PM
Regulations: they can be very harmful to Crypto adoption and welfare of its enthusiasts when making use of the virtual currencies. No one wants to be forbidden of using Crypto-Currency or to have to give a 'big piece of cake" to the regulators to be allowed to make use of Crypto-Currency because governments greedy.

Volatility: it's part of the game and not a problem at all, but it's a concern anyway. Investors worry about losing their money value after a hard drop in price, taking too long to recover themselves from the depreciation. It makes the investments slow down and adoption to take more time to happen.

Lack of services: there aren't many different kinds of services accepting BTC yet. It's stagnant for now, generating bad speculations about how useful Bitcoin really is as currency. Sometimes enthusiasts may think how long it will still take to have more businesses adopting Bitcoin, promoting it as currency and not purely as speculative investment.

Security: as there aren't guarantees when investing in Crypto-Currency laymen stay away from it. There are security mechanism that can be used to protect our virtual currencies, but not everyone knows how to deal with them. Besides this option, they have to trust third party services to store their money, what isn't safe anyway. So, the government has an advantage point on this matter, as they give security guarantees that are null in Crypto world.

Fake News: this is a concern everywhere. These news are like gossips, they destroy reputations without even being truth and it can take a long time to rebuild what they destroyed. In a sensitive market like Crypto-Currency, fake news can cause a great damage, it's necessary to be alert about it all the time to not fall for them.
