301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ad bans to affect prices long term? on: March 22, 2018, 05:37:31 PM
People won't stop using Crypto-Currency because some big platforms aren't allowing its advertisement anymore. People will go where the informations/news are, being possible even to increase this forum's traffic, as it will be the main source of informations if social medias and other big sites continue banning Crypto ads. I don't believe the price will suffer on long term for this reason, maybe on short term only.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on tv series on: March 22, 2018, 04:18:00 AM
It's good to have BTC being mentioned on TV series, it helps Bitcoin's popularity increases, even if they are making a joke about Bitcoin or something similar. TV series are watched especially by young people and they are potential Bitcoin adopters, so this "propaganda" can help a lot.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: March 22, 2018, 01:46:04 AM
Even how many best tips you'll gather here, the result varies on your reaction. You only need discipline if you want to save money while gambling but there's a distraction and your main goal of saving money is hard. You need to sacrifice any of them, if you want to gamble, you can't save properly or if you want to save then you have to sacrifice gambling.

It's either OP save or gamble right?

Honestly, if you want to save, you should not gamble, gambling would just pull your savings especially if you are an addicted gambler and you just came up to an idea to save.

Or, you can gamble, but your savings should be away from your "easy access" drawer or wallet.

Yes, it doesn't make sense to gamble and save money at same time. If you need to save money stay away from gambling, as you will just spend money with gambling. It's the same than asking: How can I save money while losing it?

What someone could try doing is to use only casino's faucet earnings to gamble, but this way the gambler will need to put a lot of effort and spend a lot of time to make progress, as a lot of attempts will be necessary until he is able to turn the faucet's earnings into a considerable amount of money that could worth to be saved. Then it's upon to each gambler to decide if it worth or not.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which big company will adopt bitcoin first? and why? on: March 21, 2018, 11:26:46 PM
Big companies already accept Bitcoin: https://www.nasdaq.com/article/7-major-companies-that-accept-cryptocurrency-cm913745

Last year we heared here on forum rumours that McDonalds could start accepting Bitcoin as payment method from 2018 on. But the news disappeared after the big fall in price we saw months ago. Then, I'm not sure if there are still real chances it can happen.

These companies don't adopt an idea like this without thinking a lot about it first, and once it start being problematic/disadvantageous for them, they give up the idea instantly.
305  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 21, 2018, 08:41:42 PM
Did anyone contact the support and received a reply?

Last activity from them is on Twitter, March 18, but possibly an automatic tweet.

Is FreeBitco.in's team on vacation?  Huh
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does becoming a parent changes the gambler? on: March 21, 2018, 08:04:25 PM
This was the discussion topic we were having last night, a bunch of gambling friends and one of them an expecting dad. There were counter arguments that his child also would turn out a gambler like he is.

The arguments were that it is his in his gene and that'll pass on to his child, since every one in his family was a gambler.

The counter argument was that the child would make a logical decision and genes won't play any part in this.

Which brought us to another important question what if turns out a gambler would they both play together. Would he be comfortable?

Amid this he walked out and texted me he didn't wish to gamble anymore, so wanted your views on this.

First of I want say that I agree with those who said that inclination to gambling can't be inherent. Secondly, kids when they grow up tend to behave in contradiction to what their parents do. For example if parents smoke their kids don't smoke and vice versa. I know there are other opinions on this, but that's what I know from my experience. From what you have written I have an impression that your friends were joking mostly and also that none of you is actually an addicted gambler. And that's a good thing. Keep it healthy, guys. Gambling can be fun if you don't let it ruin your life.

In many cases children don't follow parents patterns when they see it in a negative way, in a traumatic way. For an example: If the child has negative memories about the parents drunken, he will probably stay away from alcohol. The same can happen about gambling, but if there aren't negative memories about parents + gambling, there are higher chances this child will gamble too.

But we can't predict it, the child may gamble or may not gamble, it's a surprise and everything parents can do is to be prepared to deal with this situation better as possible if it happens.
307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how do i reduce the juvenile delinquency rate? on: March 21, 2018, 07:17:25 PM
Roll Eyes
in my city the juvenile delinquency rate is becoming, and this worries parents, what should parents do to their children to reduce the level of mischief

for those who become parents I need your opinion

Here are my suggestions:

1. Treat anyone who commits crimes such as murder and rape as adults, irrespective of the age.
2. If a minor is committing a crime, then punish his parents as well.
3. Take out awareness campaigns in areas where there is a high incidence of juvenile delinquency
4. Send repeat offenders to penal colonies
5. Sterilize parents of juvenile offenders.

Wow, I couldn't say better. It's time to make things harder for these thieves, leftist politics have already caused too much damage to many societies. Ctizens are afraid on the streets, afraid of little thieves (8-12 years old robbers), that is insane!

And many of the parents are drug addicted, they don't care about their children, but at same time don't stop generating more children.
People on the streets can't even punch these little thieves and the police can't arrest them because they are protected by the "human rights" and because they are under age. Considered by the authorities "victims of society".
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think HODL is bad for your health? on: March 21, 2018, 03:59:25 AM
For me it's not stressful, I can focus myself on another questions, subjects, activities while holding. I don't have to hit a profit goal from Bitcoin holding in X  amount of time, it can take the necessary time without hurry. If we think too much that BTC price must increase fast to give us profit we lose part of our time that could be used for thinking about another questions. BTC price depends too many people to increase, it's out of our personal control, so just do you part and relax.
309  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin VS bank on: March 21, 2018, 01:57:31 AM
Bitcoin and banks are having different level of status, bitcoin is a digital cryptocurrency, and banks are forms of legal paper money or actual currency which is used for medium of exchange. However, the comparison of two are both usable and more people who wants to own for their wealth. And even bitcoin will become legally used as a legal tender, but still banks exist. And I don't think that bitcoin would replace banks, because bitcoin and banks are different in situations and management, but we must accept the facts that bitcoin affects banks operations but it doesn't mean that banks will disappear because of bitcoin. Although there are some banking institutions plan to adopt bitcoin soon. And if bitcoin will legally used as a legal tender, it would surely that banks would also accept and adopt bitcoin.

I agree banks aren't going to disappear, but I believe their power, wealth and influence in the world can decrease if Bitcoin is successful on its implementation, respecting the decentralization ideal behind it.

Banks could accept the changes pacifically, just adapting themselves to the new reality, but they won't without taking advantage from Bitcoin, and if they can't take advantage from Bitcoin somehow, they won't accept adopting it, having to adopt or create another Crypto-Currency.
310  Economy / Economics / Re: positive effect of ban from facebook and google on: March 20, 2018, 11:45:06 PM
The only good effect is that it will give an opportunity for new social medias and advertisement networks gain importance in the market, while Google and Facebook will lose audience. People won't left Crypto-Currency aside because Facebook and Google, but the opposite might happen.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why the facebook, google are banning cryptocurrency? on: March 20, 2018, 10:56:19 PM
They say it's because many scam schemes are promoted in Crypto-Currency world and that Crypto-Currency is out of control (no guarantees for investors, decentralized world). Truly, they are giants in the modern world, they have occult interests, occult partnerships and follow occult agendas. When a decentralized system appears, it threats their mightiness, as their power comes from the centralization, so they will do their best to centralize/regulate Crypto-Currency attending their agenda's interests or forbid it.
312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Is Now Talking About Crypto, and It's Not so Good on: March 20, 2018, 10:38:32 PM
He is talking directly about Venezuela's Crypto-Currency, not Bitcoin and Crypto-Currency in general. The Venezuela's thieves are trying to keep on the country's command and they found in Crypto-Currency a way to get some breath to continue ruling the nation, while allying themselves to other nations "secretly". Indeed no one should deal with this Petro currency, otherwise they will be dealing with criminals (dictators, drug dealers and assassins).
313  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 3 Bitcoin Casinos for 2018 on: March 20, 2018, 09:37:30 PM
Seems what the top casinos have in common is a great variety of games on their sites.
Maybe OP maximized the importance of such characteristic to choose his Top 3.

Quote
BitcoinCasino: wide variety of the most popular games such as slots, blackjack, bingo, keno and live dealer games; Over 900 slot games from the top online casino software developers.

FortuneJack: featuring the most extensive games selection of all Bitcoin casinos.

BetChain: BetChain Casino features over 1,000 of the most popular casino games from the top game providers.
314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ten years later on: March 20, 2018, 09:11:28 PM
I predict that the price of bitcoins in 10 years should be more than half a million dollars.
We'll be gonna be rich by that time, 10 years isn't a long time to wait if you are busy with so many things to do. I can wait and will hold even a single of mine from this moment. But I'm not sure if bitcoin will still be the bitcoin that we met today from that time but if that is so then there will be so many other things that will happen during that time.

It's true, 10 years isn't a lot of time to wait to become millionaire, while doing other things meanwhile...  Cheesy
I'm also not sure if Bitcoin will continue being what it is today. There are many different possibilities that could happen and that could change many aspects of Bitcoin and the way we use it. Improvements/updates in BTC, forks, regulations from governments, Crypto's concurrency... Everything affects Bitcoin.

OP has a very positive prediction and I hope he is right about it...
315  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: JHbitcoin - Earn up to 100 satoshi every 15 minutes! on: March 20, 2018, 07:05:52 PM
Nice faucet, thanks for 10 satoshis reward. Very clean page, fast to claim.
Hard to see faucets like this nowadays, I hope it lasts.

This is a good faucet to be added to faucet lists/rotators.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tv game shows on: March 20, 2018, 06:38:49 PM
It would be very nice, but not possible for now. Many TV viewers don't deal with BTC yet, and these TV shows are destinated to the masses, so for them it's worthless. Bitcoin must be adopted by more people first.

Another factor is about bureaucracy, I'm not sure if a currency like BTC can be offered as prize on these TV shows, a currency that pass through many different hands, though the whole world, it can looks fishy for local authorities.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: Is fall of bitcoin from 16k$ good for bitcoin and alt-crypto? on: March 20, 2018, 02:44:08 AM
A fall in BTC's price is never good. It can be acceptable, but it's not positive. It gives reasons to media and governments badmouth Bitcoin, saying it's very dangerous and must be regulated/banned, investors become afraid about volatility and start panic selling, also, sharing their negative experience with others, who will also become afraid of investing in BTCs.

Let's be honest, nobody (from crypto community) doesn't care about what media say about Bitcoin. We have already learned that we shouldn't listen to them because they always spread FUD and information and they will always do it. Journalists don't do enough research or invite some "well-known economists" who will try to prove that Bitcoin is a financial pyramid without using reasonable arguments.
Those who are here since some time ago don't worry about media, it's true, but newbies do. They helped BTC hit nice values last year, but now they "helped" BTC return to $9000-$8000 again with panic selling.

Also, media scares potential investors, people that could be investing and helping BTC's demand increase, but that don't do it because they hear too much what media is saying, and follow its advices. Traditional media isn't so powerful like before, but they still have some good influence over a considerable parcel of population.

I'm positive about this dip. A lot of people have been complaining about extremely high transaction fees which are now low (1 sat/b). It's now a perfect time to wait patiently for Lightning Network to become more widely adopted.
Yes, at least now the transactions fees are acceptable again and we have Lightining Network's promise, what can surely boost BTC's price a lot when implemented. On long term I keep optimistic about Bitcoin, and would be good if more people were optimistic as well, so we could overcome this barrier faster.
318  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin global regulation on: March 20, 2018, 12:22:29 AM
and Argentina? what is the position?

Uncertain position yet. G20 meeting is happening at this moment in Argentina. One of the subjects to be discussed is Bitcoin, they are talking about what to do in relation to Crypto-Currency. A member of an argentinian Bitcoin NGO is there, suggesting a "smart regulation" towards Crypto market.
Better to wait the meeting finishes, so we can have updated news about it.
319  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you use Bitcoin for ? on: March 19, 2018, 08:38:00 PM
Now that BTC price is cheap I'm not using it to buy stuff. Also, interesting sellers like Steam stopped accepting Bitcoin as payment method because expensive transactions and high volatility. Still waiting for more businesses and online shopping sites adopt Bitcoin...

I can't calculate volatility, it's unpreditable, the only thing I can do is to stop spending BTCs when the price is too unstable or too low.
320  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Dark use of Bitcoin on: March 19, 2018, 07:47:54 PM
There is a dark use of Bitcoin in some illegal activities like selling of drugs, money laundering etc. So we can’t state that Bitcoin is used in a hygienic way only. The reason behind the dark use of Bitcoin is anonymous transaction which can’t be traced.

People are involved in illegal activities with or without Bitcoins. And at this point, Bitcoin doesn't give thieves any guarantee of success. I can tell you transactions are traceable. And I can even say any new regulations aren't needed to take criminals. In Brazil, federal police discovered a scheme involving misappropriation of money which used Bitcoins. And there isn't any regulation in the country focused in Bitcoins and Crypto-Currency.
