21  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about this plan? on: December 06, 2018, 09:28:58 PM
Looks very good (considering it will happen)... But keep in mind you will have an initial loss by selling BTC for $3800, as you have probably bought it for a more expensive price before. Also, you are being very optimistic about buying BTC for $1000.

Anyway there is some chance it can work, like people who sold for $6000 and are thinking now if it's already the best moment to enter the market again.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: December 06, 2018, 01:59:41 AM
I never trust anyone I don't know, if indeed every time is the right time to invest in cryptocurrency, then why does the cryptocurrency go down? means that someone is selling the cryptocurrency, including now. as long as there is a buy process, there must also be a sell process. well, the behavior of people who sell this, is a behavior that we must consider, why should they sell? do they not trust cryptocurrency anymore?

Maybe they just want to feed the pessimistic feeling in the market and lead others to sell their coins too, so they can buy it again later, cheaper, accumulating more coins than they had before. At this time it's not about trusting or distrusting Crypto anymore, it came to stay and that is a fact, however what it will become is a big doubt... Then it opens another possibility: that the market is falling because regulations could be hurting investors.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream media more and more into bitcoin-- on: December 06, 2018, 12:46:50 AM
That is a good news for Bitcoin, but doesn't have a big range of effect. Maybe some people from other countries will see it and try applying the same on their own local states, that would be good. I have heared Bitcoin can be adopted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by the local government of the city, as speculated the mayor. He wants to use Bitcoin on the city hall finances. Another good news, but that has even a smaller range...

The low range makes these news not influence BTC's price so positively as it should in this end of 2018...
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your favorite game? on: December 05, 2018, 10:02:45 PM
At the moment all the play n Go Slots/games like Reactoonz, Book Of Dead.
Seriously, when you hit the bonus rounds and playing with mBTC its an unbelievable feeling.

Ok its not so easy to hit the bonus round on Reactoonz, but when it HIT SmileySmiley and you get 200-1000x your bet Smiley

I play this games once per month and have a strict budget for it, I do between 40-50 spin on each games, sometimes Im really lucky and get the Bonus round and can withdraw a nice Win. Sure sometimes im not so lucky, but at least i got the excitement and have to wait to next month.

I do love slot games, indeed it is very rare to hit bonus round or free spins round unless we are lucky enough. Although free spins or bonus round is very rare to hit but it does it mean that we will always win big on it. Sometime you may earn nothing from bonus round/free spins. It is back to our luck, you may even get bigger winning on normal regular spins than on bonus round.

From the most pleasure game point of view I think Slots are the best too. There are different themes to choose and sometimes, when we are lucky, seems that the game was made to reward us. There are so many combinations, increasing our excitement when they come in almost sequences. Also, we can choose the game's rhythm, being possible to play for a long time spending a considerable low amount of money.
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your quit point for Bitcoin price? on: December 05, 2018, 05:13:44 PM
There is no quit point. Better a promise of a rise someday, than selling for pennies and dumping the price even more. More than the effort of pumping Bitcoin by some enthusiasts, it is the clear and stronger effort to dump it more and more. Quite strange some people are so commited in dumping BTC's price. The said pessimistic wave is being created to incentive people to sell everything, I believe.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin started to Die. on: December 05, 2018, 12:39:51 PM
Bitcoin's concept is very different from an ordinary scam scheme. It was designed to be a decentralized global currency, it has a usage, it makes transactions worldwide simpler, less bureaucratic and accessible for everyone who have just internet connection.

On the other hand, scam schemes consist in a person taking everyone's money and sharing it with the first investors, while the last ones lose money... A very simple and mediocre concept to be compared to Bitcoin.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: The best time to invest is now. on: December 05, 2018, 01:38:33 AM
to invest in the long term indeed now is the time while the price of bitcoin goes down ... you will benefit when the price of bitcoin rises only requires patience

The best time to invest is when the price are dropping.

We don't know how long will the prices will fall, it might take a week, a month or a year but we can't be dependent on what is happening, we should focus on what should happen in the future. As an investors we should look forward, this is a great time to invest as we might not see the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in these prices.

Well the prices did fall. Would we expect a $1000 bitcoin after this drop from $3000? I think its a yes and a no. Whales wouldn't go so much as to letting bitcoin go down as $1000 after the debut of 2017s $16000 right? But what can we expect is that they would manipulate the market until its all about them and none of the fakes and scams ongoing right now.

The problem is that we don't know how long it will take until BTC's price start moving up again. Some people say the best moment to buy is now, but there isn't any guarantee these people will see any profit on short-medium term, many people can't afford to lose or to stuck such money for undetermined time in a strange scenario like this. These whales are unpredictable, they can keep dumping it, who knows...
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chat in gambling on: December 05, 2018, 12:38:37 AM
Most important feature for sure: "Rain" to distribute coins among active players on the chat or between players who want to reward themselves.

Plus, easy command to add gifs and videos from Youtube (with the option of hidding this for players who are too systematic, this way everyone will be happy).

And maybe the possibility of editing name and words' colors, type, bold, italic for each player.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: What Would be The Next On BTC Please Share Your Opinion? on: December 04, 2018, 11:33:04 PM
I hope a new recovery stage starts after the end of this cycle. All these prices fluctuations are very strange, it smells manipulation, so only whales can revert the scenario, when they see the price reached on a good baseline for them (dumped enough), it's probable they will start putting money in the market again, so the little investors will have a chance to join the new wave, growing their investment too.

Another factors like new developments, regulations, adoptions, news in general may influence, but I think the whales play the biggest role on it.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need bitcoin in the modern world? on: December 04, 2018, 10:49:54 PM
You present a counterpoint. While some people enjoy using it to pay for dinners and houses, others see in Bitcoin a way to make profit, selling it more expensive than they bought. If people are using BTC for these reasons, it's because they need it on their individuality, and fiat wasn't fulfilling their expectations and personal needs.

It's hard to say why we need Bitcoin in the modern world, because each person has their own personal reasons. But on general it's like asking why do we need money in the modern world... Bitcoin is just money, with some extra advantages decentralization and technology give us.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: How will the crypto market respond to the latest bitcoin? on: December 04, 2018, 04:04:48 PM
I believe by that time, when all BTCs will be mined, there will be cheaper sources of energy and more technological machines than the currently miners. So it will be possible to make a decent profit just by receiving for transactions confirmations in a way it won't be so expensive for Bitcoin users too. Now seems unrealistic to think this way, time is needed until we achieve enough technology to make it work in a sustainable way for everyone.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Solution to Raise BTC's Value on: December 03, 2018, 11:51:52 PM
There is no way to escape regulations.

prohibition era a century ago.. people still got drunk
'war on drugs'.. people still got high

the secret is. if a FIAT business is heavy on its regulation policy. dont use it.

War on drugs failed because it's interesting for the system. It makes the "product" more valuable and restrict in a way only a small group will have access to negotiate it. Regulation fulfils its objective perfectly, and governments can continue creating their cartels informally. In Crypto-Currency, regulations objective is to continue giving more power and disproportional advantages to big investors, like with fiat, on the financial system.

OTC is the moonshine industry of bitcoin.
custodial exchanges are the licenced pubs/bars that have a 5 drink limit and require you to have a designated driver after 2 drinks

True, but it's quite hard to deal without the middlemen exchanges... At least for now.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Solution to Raise BTC's Value on: December 03, 2018, 08:34:54 PM
There is no way to escape regulations. Most countries would never allow a decentralized marketplace operating with Crypto-Currencies.
To make this work you would need to estabilish a decentralized country first...
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bleeding Again on: December 03, 2018, 08:01:38 PM
A new wave of terror today, -7% already. It was showing some resistance days ago, but it wasn't enough to push Bitcoin up again. There is a lot of effort to resist and show strength, hoping investors will see this and put money in to help, but seems it's never enough.

Quite the opposite, seems when the market shows some strength some people holding Bitcoin insist in selling to dump it even more.
35  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1000 to spare each month, how would you invest it? on: December 02, 2018, 01:55:05 AM
I would invest $1000 monthly in BTC and split the Bitcoins among some different websites to keep it generating extra income, not depending exclusively on the currency's fluctuations. Personally I wouldn't invest in AltCoins for now, they follow Bitcoin's price, and Bitcoin needs to be stronger to turn AltCoins investments more worthful again.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Survey Shows 80% Of Americans Have Heard Of Bitcoin on: December 02, 2018, 12:55:47 AM
The survey gives us very positive results. This proves that Bitcoin in particular and virtual currency are generally popular with a country like the United States. This ratio is quite true for other normal countries, except those that are too backward. This survey shows that people are skeptical about Bitcoin's ability to be successful and stable, as they still believe that Bitcoin will be unlucky, and they still believe in using the flat.
But the thing is not all that 80% are using bitcoin. And maybe thry heard the bitcoin in different manner like if they heard the bad thinfs about bitcoin so that they will not use it. There are lots of possible to happen, but I think it is still a good news that there are lots of people today that are hearing some facts about bitcoin.

The worrying part is that most of them have heared about Bitcoin, but even knowing it they don't feel inspired to adopt the currency. The propaganda was made, Bitcoin is well known worldwide, however it wasn't enough. Then I don't know if people are too satisfied with fiat and their currently financial life, so they don't think about using Bitcoin, or if they think it's useless or shady. The fact is that Bitcoin didn't touch them.
37  Economy / Economics / Re: The market is looking healthy and greener all over again on: December 01, 2018, 10:22:03 PM
Not possible to say yet if the green came to stay for a good time, but when the scenario changes, it happens without warnings. We need to be prepared for everything, because the unexpected is a possibility. Just think everyone is following the predictions these days, they say BTC will reach even lower prices, so that is the main expectation on the market, but some whales can come sneakily and pump Bitcoin, letting everyone behind.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who would actually believe celebs promoting crypto? on: December 01, 2018, 06:52:44 PM
If you're listening to celebs then you are not ready for this type of market at all.

True. However there are lots of people crazily following these celebrities as they were semi-gods. If they order the fans to invest in some AltCoins they will do this, and I don't doubt the fans will keep following the celebrities even after losing money in a bad investment, advised by them... This kind of investor isn't ready for this type of market, but this type of market welcomes this kind of investor.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need a global virtual marketplace for cryptocurrencies? on: December 01, 2018, 05:41:39 PM
A platform is always needed to have a virtual marketplace, and the platform's creator will want a fee to keep the platform running smoothly and updated (exchanges). Think about it as they are offering you a service to make your experience in Crypto world more enjoyable and safer, and you are paying for this. The intermediary (the platform) in a market involving millions of people is a necessity.
40  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Purchasing Bitcoin in person? on: December 01, 2018, 04:16:28 PM
Buying and selling bitcoins on a face to face basis is just really such a slight divergence from what bitcoin is meant to be - anonymosity. Trading bitcoin among friends or colleagues can also be nice. But generally, wouldn't trust a random stranger online. The best place you can sure of to get bitcoin is from localbitcoins.

It is quite risky as well because you do not know that person whom you would be getting money and might just know that you got scammed and person run away from their as their would be no escrow. So instead online would be a better option as you would have the escrow service available either on this forum or can trade on any reputed exchange.

It's risky depending the seller you find, it's true. But if there were a consolidated "exchange house" in the area there wouldn't be any problem. It's not very different from an online exchange, you need to check carefully their reputation first before sending your money to their hands, so you look for reviews, others opinions and conclude if the seller is legit or not. Unfortunatelly, it can be quite difficult to find physical shops or sellers like that, as anonymity is a preference among Crypto enthusiasts.
