61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be discouraged! Keep holding. on: September 13, 2018, 02:59:18 AM
I bought bitcoin when it was around $14,500 in January and I am still holding because I am not discouraged.  I have great hope that bitcoin is going to increase in price and volume in some years to come.

I will do the same because i do not want to loose a huge some amount of money and i believe as well that holding is really worth it in the long run.

Now the game has changed a lot these days. Holding is not profitable business these days. All you have to do is work smart on it, dont just hold and expect the crypto currency to rise in the value and you will get profits back. What you need to do is, hold and buy and sell as and when the opportunity comes our way. For example, if during the holding it occurs to you that prices have dropped a lot, then buy new stock of coins or tokens. Whenever the prices will rise sufficiently higher than your entry point then just make sure to sell your coins and grab the profits. This is how you work on the new methods, just holding will not move the market as well as your portfolio at all.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Analysis on: September 10, 2018, 12:45:56 PM
Don't know why we are bothering with all the price analysis and market analysis. I mean these things are too complicated to get predicted in the crypto world as you know. Things are not the same as they might have been for the last minute and upto that level the crypto is changing. This makes things very much unpredictable here. I have seen many experts giving out advices over it and then eventually when the time comes the crypto analysis would have gotten failed already. This is how crypto is interacting with the market so it'd literally vain to predict anything right now.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how the fate of the project and ico in the future? on: September 10, 2018, 12:05:56 PM
Recently there are many ICO SCAM and some investors lose their money, even new investors are very afraid to invest their money in ICO .. if all investors have lost confidence in ICO how the fate of new projects that will ICO? who wants to invest again? obviously the project will not work without the investors .. how do you think to solve this problem? What to do?

I am not sure how other community is responding to this issue but I have observed that though ICO are getting scam a lot then also people have not stopped making investment into it and thus give us the clue that things are still pretty much in the favour of ICO. I am currently working on bounty of TowerBee project and it seems to me that their ICO crowdsale is taking huge leaps since they have started it. They have already sold 17,000 worth ETH token and thus makes sense people are still into the crypto investment.

Now this is just one example but to be frank there are hundreds of different ICO like this who are still working just fine.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Would blockchain technologies continue Its development without cryptocurrency? on: September 09, 2018, 12:37:04 PM
As we all know chain block technologies are the foundation of the cryptocurrency and chain block technologies can develop without the cryptocurrency.

Is this possible happen in the future? If so, how?

Yes off course it will continue to rise no matter what happens. I mean it doesnt matter if the crypto currencies exists anymore or not because as you said blockchain itself is base for them and this thing is not the other way around.  Wink

Blockchain is self sustained technology which is there and can be modified due to its open and decentralised source and thus anyone can use it for their own benefits. This tech can be used anywhere in the world and in any industry. So surely it will survive on its own no matter what happens with the crypto currency.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest in an ICO? on: September 09, 2018, 09:35:17 AM
Whatever you have written here is all true and yes I look for almost everything that you have mentioned here. Most of the time its the forum who gives me more info about it. Its the simple way to know more abut it because many ICO's will publish their bounties here, signature campaigns and all the other ways of publishing . This mostly gives me lot of info about it and over the time you can also keep on reading many updates in the ANN thread. This is the place where all real people are discussing about the projects and thus giving us info about recent updates. Also I dont really look for team but I look for how effectively they are communicating with us over the telegram etc. Their promotional offers should be attractive and upto the mark then we can understand about it more.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what profit do you need to close the long position? on: September 09, 2018, 04:47:18 AM
If you are a long-term holder, what profit do you need to close the position?
For example, I need a minimum of + 400%

That's crazy high mate. I cant imagine +400% to be taken as profits because that will take very much long time. I mean that will become too much long position to be honest, and with the current bear and bull fight it can become too hard to digest. There is no way one can gain 400% in such market or not at least on the year 2018 where crypto currencies have seen worst of the bitcoin and altcoins.
For me the simple formula to win this market is, staying low! What I mean with this is simple fact, you just grab few % ranging from the 10% to 30% max which is completely doable thing and do it over and over to earn higher.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just one coin... on: September 08, 2018, 06:09:26 AM
How contradictory it is when we say that Satoshi made a currency which should have been used by everyone as mode of payment and also for the purpose of secure transaction with added anonymity.

The contradiction starts when we start looking at this currency as an asset and as way to earn more money from it. We are considering it as store value sometimes and thus keep holding to so that in later times when the crypto jumps to higher prices then we can sell and profit ourselves.

If we were supposed to use it as currency only then there should have been no question about the price tag of crypto. But its always concerning people around here.

69  Economy / Economics / Re: 44 % of startups/ICO still active 120 days following the end of their fundraise on: September 06, 2018, 04:01:21 PM
That is a very interesting article and great study done by them. I know the study is perfect but the results are not very good for the ICO investors like us. This was already known that more than 80% of the ICO's are getting scammed but this was never known that these most o the ICO are getting inactive after the 120 days of the period. This tells us that ICO which start with full speed and great development plans are always ending up in worst ways. The timeline, how they researched it is ambiguous but to be honest this data can be trusted blindly.

The only thing we dont know yet is, why they go scam after that specific period or whether it is just the coincidence that more than 40% of them are going scam or inactive after the 120 days??

We do need more data as like, what kind of ideas are behind those ICO projects, which are team members and what is the models.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is a higher volume of BTC Short positions a bullish indicator? on: September 05, 2018, 12:29:18 PM
Intuitively (for me anyway), a higher number of short positions means there are a larger number of people who feel the price is going to tank.  The only reason I can think of to explain why this is a bullish indicator is because for every short position taken, there's someone on the other side of the trade taking a long position(?)  But if that's the case, maybe a higher volume of short positions shouldn't really be a bullish or bearish signal, but instead just a signal of price instability(?)  Huh Tongue

Thanks
-YBB

When we speak about the crypto cuxrencie then there is endless possibilities on what you can predict about the crypto singling and also the bull and bear trends. Just pick any trade period of the bitcoin since the January this year and see how many times bitcoin has gone wild up and then have reached its bottom consequently making things worst for the market. So the question is whether we should be calling it as short term positions that were opened up and closed immediately over the time ? Or was it just bull snapshot? This is what might be happening at this time and hence we can not really predict whats going on. It could be a proper bull run or just another trap itself.
71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of Knowledge for Coin Trading on: September 05, 2018, 11:36:12 AM
In reality knowledge is required almost everywhere you go. It doesnt matter if you are making a cookie or making a trade you have to have basic knowledge about it and then only you can make things happen according to your plans and execute it. :-)
I believe that when I make a trade then I actually go on reading about the project to which the coin belongs so that I can understand how popular that particular coin is and how far will it go in the future. I dont care about the timeline because if it is going to give me profits in the coming weeks or months then also its the best. So better to have these kind of knowledge handy about it to make the right decisions ahead.  Cheesy
72  Economy / Economics / Re: Centralized or Decentralized for cryptocurrencies? on: September 04, 2018, 05:12:17 PM
Having legal tender is different thing and regulating the bitcoin completely would be completely different thing. Know the difference that tender is just set of rules which gives few limitations, timely use etc and thus does not bind with full set of rules. While if one says regulating it then there would be far stricter approaches towards the bitcoin and thus it could be disastrous for the crypto economy as it will take out all the freedom of the bitcoin which it is getting from the current decentralised environment. So believe me one has to keep the bitcoin in decentralised mode rather than centralise.

74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: are you now afraid to save bitcoin until December 2018 on: September 04, 2018, 01:18:25 PM
First of all, I have never made my decisions based on the emotions and thus I believe it wont matter if the bitcoin is going down or up in our heads! Ideally you should always think about the bitcoin as long term plan where this plan starts from January 1st to the December 31st!! If there is up movements in between then surely one should go for it, sell your coins and again buy more when it falls down. But make sure to hold them until the end all the time. With the 2018 rough year I have to say that most of the people have gotten the chance to enter this market and thus soon it will reach the higher prices and we will enjoy the profits that are coming our way. So no, I am not sacred about it at all.  Cheesy
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Mistakes That Make You Poor Poor In Cryptocurrency on: September 04, 2018, 10:18:19 AM
That does not make us poor, that makes us feel that we are idiot one for not being careful about the important stuff like crypto wallets and their private key storing. Most of the people are loosing their keys and keystone files everyday and thus making stuff go wrong. Most of them are bounty hunters who are careless because they are new to crypto and start with some wallet and just copy paste the keys somewhere. At the end when they have got more than 10-20 different types of tokens after 6-8 months they will realise they have no keys for accessing the wallet and loose more than couple of thousand dollars. Lol. That is not being poor, that is being rich idiot.  Grin
76  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap - Manipulation? on: September 04, 2018, 06:19:34 AM
CMC is using the average pricing method to show the prices. So in this one they will take the prices from all the exchangers where that particular coin is listed and thus they will show you very different price than the current market. Now, why the prices are different on the different exchangers ? Well the prices are completely dependent upon the 24 hour volume that is being traded on that particular exchangers and most of the time it only differs by few % change and more than 3% or something. Otherwise that would become unreal to trade same coin on single exchangers. But yeah this is the real reason as to why we see different prices everywhere with little difference in them.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk/reward ratio problems - Risk management on: September 03, 2018, 05:29:35 PM
No doubt that risk management is very important in a trading and that you can not success without in a trading. But, regarding the R:R ive got some questions.

Let's say your R:R is 1:3, and you start trading, and what if trade doesn't go in your favor? You cannot close it 3 times bigger than your loss, for example; its impossible for it to go more than 1.5% up for your profit. Then all of the 1:3 R:R theory falls into the water? Or what? Can someone explain it better?

Thats the number which you are sticking to or may be thats the ratio you have decided by yourself and I guess you need to come out of it first and then you can decided another strategy so that you will have good profits back to you. You simply start a trade first and depending upon the coin which you are trading you should put up 5-10% loss as lowest limits of bottom and also keep upto 5% of profits to take up so that you can quickly gain and close the trade. The loss is set to bigger limit because truly speaking you need to give your trade a time and it may happen that before it goes that far down it may just come up very fast and profit you more. So you have to keep changing your % stop loss likewise to have higher success rate.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Misconception About Cryptocurrency on: August 30, 2018, 08:29:55 PM
lol. After having so many people on board in such short period of time, I dont think that crypto currency is just passing trend which is getting accepted by the people around the globe. I am sure this is well though currency and also blockchain platform which was produced with extreme algorithms so that things can be simplified very well. This is no misconception for sure but the reality of current situation. The crypto currency is already there and we are working on it for the better future. This is noway any trend of something which will pass by and thus make things go disappear.

80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to survive in a bear market and cut out losses on: August 30, 2018, 07:27:46 PM
I would just go with whatever you stated in your conclusion and thats going with the market recovery and doesnt matter how much time it takes because most of the time it can very huge. For example someone who invested back in January might be in the state of shock as they invested at the prices which were ATH of this year. We have not found that ATH again since then and thus its really hard to wait for such long period of time. I guess its better to wait and look for an opportunity whichever is close to the entry of our trade and make things better.
