Trading or gambling?

Both involve risk, but outsiders tend to think that trading is easier than gambling because we can read about people making money from trading as if it's a good job, but it's very rare for us to read about people making a living from gambling.

It takes years to have a trading mind that will yield good results in trading, but in gambling, you'll still be exposed to losing even if you've been gambling for decades there's a lot of excitement about gambling even if you lose the game the feeling that you've given a good analysis although luck plays a factor.

There are times that I lose bets on boxing, but I have proven that I can give a comprehensive analysis of a team or fighter, and there's joy in doing that.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Just For Laugh] What kind of advice is this? 😂 🤣 🤣 on: June 11, 2024, 03:36:42 PM
There are actually people who do this they lend from one guy to another in the hope that they will win and pay all his lenders but these people do not go underground they just change their appearance.

I even stumble a guy who pretended he was crazy just to avoid paying his lenders and he was confined in a mental institution he later became crazy so he will not have to pay his lenders but he will need to act crazy all the time to avoid going out and avoid paying.  Cheesy

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law governing emails and other messages from commercial entities.

So if they are reported and found guilty they will have to pay $43k for each message, so BC.game should address this issue to their subscribers to avoid stiff penalties.

Here is the proof : https://ibb.co/0tbZHrS  this email is mention right at the bottom so there is no doubt that it is from bc.game. You can check for yourself by visiting https://help.bc.game/en/   I did this so that they cannot alter the content now.

I'm sure the team are fully aware of this as the discussion are getting attentions lets hear their announcement and allow them to rectify this error if they did it once then it must have been human error and not intentional but if they kept doing this then they are engaging to deceptive marketing.

I myself received similar email from the past from a different casino but after 48 hours they issue an apology because that was the first time it happen after hundreds of newsletters sent.

65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: June 11, 2024, 12:13:24 PM
It's fight week for the much-awaited match between Matias and Lian Paro the press conference will be aired live by DAZN in Puerto Rico and hopefully both fighters tip the scale in the weigh-in.
Experts knows that Paro is the underdog but there's one boxing analyst that believes that if Paro can do this he can beat Matias

Go check the video EXPLAINED! If Liam Paro DOES This He BEATS Subriel Matias | Stats Don't Lie | Fight Week Breakdown

I consider Subriel Matias the best Puerto Rican fighter after Miguel Cotto and Felix Trinidad, he is one of the four boxers in this generation with a 100% knock-out ratio the other three are, Beterbiev, Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Gary Antuanne Russell and he is a pressure fighter who loves to slug it out take in everything his opponents throws and so he can give his own, there are only few pressure fighters in the boxing world and these are the boxers the boxing fans loves to see fight.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How were you able to handle a losing streak up to 5 times and above? on: June 11, 2024, 11:02:11 AM

Lesson so far, the need to manage risk is highly recommendable, stick to plans and never go above your plan, all this while my profits have been much higher than my loses, but a single week took the majority of those profits, Therefore, even though you are these profitable person in gambling just as I have been all this while, there may be a rainy day for you and what would protect you are these strategies in place.

Have you had this experience before, and how were you able to manage/handle it?
[/pre]
A long streak of bad luck does happen we have a saying When it rains it pours I experienced that myself I had two weeks of continuous bad luck it was depressing it was like a curse was cast upon you, but I soon realized that we have no control on how the games turn out in any games, whether it's a sports betting or a casino luck based game.

This is why we take it to heart that we should gamble with money that we can afford to lose and never chase our losses because gambling is full of uncertainty and our minds should be ready to accept whatever result it presented to us.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: June 10, 2024, 03:36:45 PM
After Bivol’s easy tune up fight on the undercard of Wilder vs. Zhang, it was announced by Turki Alalshikh that the fight between Bivol and Beterbiev has been rescheduled for October 12. Bivol’s defense didn’t look as sharp as it normally does against Zinad, but that might be because he was really trying to win by knockout, which he did for the first time in 6 years. I expect him to have a much different style against Beterbiev. He cannot afford to make mistakes and get caught with the same punches Zinad was landing on him.

Yeah, maybe he really wanted to impressed the crowd by looking for a knockout win and not the usual hard and grind fight and it will go to the judges scorecard. Nevertheless, he has done his part on the bargin so that the Bivol vs Beterbiev fight can still happen and as announced, it will be October 12.

Bivol before this fight last won via knockout 6 years ago, so he wants to look impressive by forcing a knockout even to the point that he gets caught by Zinad's punches, we all know you never look for a knockout you let it come and happen.

Bivol is well-conditioned going to the fight against Beterbiev because Beterbiev will have to get medical clearance before he can start training for the fight.

After what happened it is hard for me to judge who is the favorite to win the fight, A guy coming from an impressive win is more confident and well-conditioned than a fighter who just comes from injury and training will be hindered on his movement because you cannot be 100% right away, so we'll see, it's 4 months to go so many things are going to happen and hopefully there will be no more injuries.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino companies' responsibilities to rehabilitation institutions on: June 10, 2024, 01:59:17 PM

my question is, do casinos need to be charged to carry out csr to rehabilitation centers so that these rehabilitation centers can provide discounts for cases related to gambling addiction? and what about online casinos, how should they carry out csr since they operate globally?

It is on a case-to-case basis casinos don't need to do this, they already have features and warnings for gamblers not to gamble too much, it's up to the individual how to control themselves not to fall and become addicted to gambling.
We have a responsibility and obligation to ourselves and our families to be a responsible gambler, learn to control ourselves be honest with ourselves and our families, and treat online casinos as an entertainment platform and not a platform to rehabilitate yourself because of your wrongdoing.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A way to be safe from Rug pull on: June 10, 2024, 01:28:37 PM
This is a good help for investors but we have thousands of new projects coming up I don't think they can keep up they claimed there are 12 on their team It is already a big team but not yet enough so it is better to have our ways and criteria on how to properly check the coin or token that we are going to invest.

Platforms like this are concentrated on big projects but there are small platforms that will escape on their radar and we all know so many investors cannot differentiate a small and big projects they easily believe what is posted on the platform. Include this platform but also educate on how to check the right and the wrong project to invest.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a legal jurisdiction backing up gamblers against the casino oppression? on: June 10, 2024, 12:16:04 PM
Everything is to each his own when it comes to filing a case against a casino that violated their rights and privileges as members of the casino platform, if the winning is huge the complainant should spend his own money to prosecute the casino and get his huge winning.

But if the winning is not that huge then Bitcointalk and the gambling directories are his best choices to file a complaint, there are two goals to let other gamblers know the behavior of the casino and for them to pressure the casino to address the issue, sometimes it works and sometimes the casino just ignore these complaints and move on.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny - Pacquiao VS Chihiro Suzuki Exhibition Match on: June 10, 2024, 10:55:53 AM
Considering everything, since this would be a boxing match, it's definitely in Pacquiao's territory. With the right training for sure, he can get back into the shape that could dominate. Not in the time in his prime but still, it could work. This is probably a propeller for Suzuki to get his name out there. Win or lose, it's an exhibition match.

Even though it's been a long time since his last match and he's focused on the senate in the country, he's still training and working out, it's been reported that he's retiring from the boxing game but someone has offered him a match so maybe not yet he totally retired, maybe others are taking advantage of his age, we know that Manny Pacquiao is not that young anymore but he has proven a lot, he has a big chance to win that fight especially if he really focuses on training and will get better even in the match itself.

Compared to Pacquaio's contemporaries in boxing like Eric Morales, Hatton, Barrera, and Bradley he is in tip-top shape and never stops training,

Pacquaio has never been so dominated that people will call out for him to retire like what happened to Wilder, he may not have the same power that he used to possess in his great years but he still can hurt, can still counter, and can still last the whole 12 rounds.

The fight is a very short distance only 3 rounds but Pacquiao can still hurt Chihiro and he needs to look good on this fight because he wants the Mayweather fight to happen.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Errol Spence vs Sebastian Fundora - Oct on: June 09, 2024, 03:55:41 PM

I'm not sure though if Spence can score a knockout victory here, if he will ever win this fight, I think it will be a decision win for him and Fundora is very tough specially with how he showed in the Tim Tszyu fight.

Prior to him becoming a champion, if I'm not mistaken, he was in the top 5, and against Mendoza, he was leading in the judges scorecard, all 3 of them have Fundora by 4 or 5 points. Until Mendoza caught him with that huge punch that's why he was knockout. But if not for that, I think he could have won that fight.

But that one knockout loss by Fundora is a reference to all the fighters that want to beat him, I'm sure Spence watched and will continue to watch to spot Fundora's weakness and try to create a similar situation where he was knocked down.

The strategy that I can think of is Spence will try to get the match as close as possible so he can get his left hook he will go toe to toe here because as long as he is close to Fundora, Fundora has no advantage over him.

When you have that height advantage the body is an easy target if Spence worked on the body he would have a good opening in the face, Spence needs to win this fight and I'm sure he is so serious about his training because another defeat could be the end of his career.
73  Economy / Gambling / Re: Earn Bitcoin With HunnyPlay's New Referral Program! $5k Bonus + upto 18% cut. on: June 09, 2024, 03:22:01 PM
I'm glad that OP is now concentrating on only one thread to avoid temp ban and there was mention of their own token that you can stake on the platform that is good to know, three years ago I made a good profit staking BFG from Betfury I can see another potential on HunnyPLay.

I will sign up later explore the site and see the staking features which are quite high compared to other casinos that lowered their APR.

I'd like to ask I know if the token is now available on DEX and do you have a roadmap for your token besides playing in your platform staking is one of the features that will make a profit for your players and I wonder why you only promote the referral feature when you can also include the other features that are attractive to investors and players.

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you help me to get out of this CRYPTO SCAM? 3,000$ for it. NOT JOKING! on: June 09, 2024, 02:55:25 PM
I tried to look at that thing at coinscan, and there are many alerts there. I'm sure that you've been fooled. Check this out:

I can't help you, but my advice is to forget it. It's an awful experience, but it will teach you to be more careful in the future.

Nobody can't, even if he doubles the amount of money, the honeypot trap is not something new, and it's a big trap for investors since it is a contract created by the scammers I hate to say this but many still fall to Honeypot scam because of greediness.

Op should charge this to experience and move on I hope you can get the amount you invested in your other investment portfolio and surely your thread is a big help to those newbies who are not fully aware of how scammers use this kind of method.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Manny - Pacquiao VS Chihiro Suzuki Exhibition Match on: June 09, 2024, 02:01:42 PM

Manny Pacquiao is back out of retirement and he will be up against a very dangerous opponent Chihiro Suzuki who is RIZIN featherweight champion the fight will be held on July 28 in Saitama, Japan

Quote
Suzuki, 13-3 with one no-contest in MMA, is undefeated in his past nine bouts under the RIZIN banner with eight victories. The sole no-contest was originally a submission loss to then-champion Kleber Koike that was automatically overturned due to the Brazilian’s weight miss.

Do you think Manny Pacquiao still has what it takes to fight in the ring, this could be a tune fight to the match awaited Pacquiao - Mayweather2
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is web3 casino the new trend for casinos? on: June 09, 2024, 01:24:02 PM

I think what we should be looking at here is the amount of money coming in and out of these casinos. I believe I've seen one before that already had almost a billion dollars in total wagers. That was just one casino, so if we combine it with the others, that easily makes it a billion-dollar industry.

So it is a matter of time before the AMLAC gets an alarm on the activity of these WEB3 casinos, these casino models are smart contracts based, and all actions are triggered on the configuration of the contract so there may be a configuration that will cause the alarm if a certain amount is reached in the withdrawal in web3 platform.

The centralized casinos are still popular but once these web3 casinos get into the top 10 casinos in the industry the authorities will have to impose their regulatory power to monitor and regulate these contract-based transactions.

77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Team strength as the main predictor. on: June 09, 2024, 12:39:34 PM
The rankings are the total grade or score on the superiority of one's team and players in the league or organization the factors that you listed are considered but sometimes upsets do happen, and these factors are not evident you must have an insight and an inside knowledge about the competing team to weigh in the probability of a strong team or player getting beaten by a weak team or player.

Some experts in the game can see this upset factor coming from a third party, and of course, there's always a possibility of game fixing because upset is not a common occurrence.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is web3 casino the new trend for casinos? on: June 09, 2024, 11:13:14 AM
I noticed that there are a lot of web3 casinos popping up in the gambling section. I'm curious if this is the new trend for casinos, as web3 casinos eliminate the KYC requirement since they promote "Anonymity and Privacy," which crypto casinos (not web3) cannot offer because they are regulated and bound to follow the mandates of their regulators.
They already existing for many years already check this directory  Dapp Radaar
they are trending in the community where the smart contracts of the Web3 platforms are created

Quote
However, from my other research, I also read that although web3 casinos are not universally regulated, they could still be compliant with regulators, especially concerning Anti-Money Laundering (AML). This puzzles me because I thought web3 casinos would completely offer anonymous gambling, but the word "compliance" suggests that we will still need to verify KYC.

What are your thoughts on this, and how deep is your understanding of web3 casinos in terms of their legal parlance?
They do not yet need compliance because the laws that govern WEB3 compliance are under development so the framework is not yet up but if these Web3 casinos become competitive then the regulators may need to come out with laws that will govern WEB3 because if they do not they will become the next target of money launderers to launder money.

So far we only have a few of these Web3 casinos in our community but based on the success of some many more will come to promote their platform here.
79  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: With is the minimum post require to earn a merit on: June 08, 2024, 03:20:25 PM
I have been into the system for some months now and I have made over twenty posts but no simply merit has been given to me or earn by me and this make me to be surprise on how these merit are generated, given or earned. However, looking at it in another perspective, I don't know if it is because I did not meet the number of my post require to earn a merit or because of the low quality of my post that is the reason why I had not been able to earn a single merit. So please I will like to get more clarifications on the possible requirement for earning merit.

You will not find a rule or requirements where you need a number of posts to get a merit, in fact, I have seen newbies with thousands of posts and yet they failed to get a single merit because all of their posts are bounty reports.

So I've given you your first merit because you started a discussion as a reference about acquiring merits some newbies have a misconception that you need this number of days or number of posts and by posting this they will help them understand more about merits based on the discussion you started.

Check these answers to your question and take note I expect you to get more merits if you take notes and follow our pieces of advice.
80  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coingecko suffer data breach on: June 08, 2024, 02:37:03 PM
I use both Coingecko and Coinmarketcap but not with emails. You can use this sites without email if you do not want to have portfolio on the site. I will prefer to have offline portfolio instead of online ones. I believe people's portfolio would have also been seen by the hackers. Coinmarketcap have been hacked before I think, this should not be surprising and it will not be the last.

This got me thinking about changing the way I compile my portfolio, Coingecko portfolio format is so easy to use and I can access it anywhere even on my mobile or an internet cafe but with a breach like this it exposes your portfolio and your email you have something to worry about, I may have to use a spreadsheet again to monitor my portfolio.
Both Coingecko and Coimarketcap will always become a target because of the huge number of userbase they should upgrade their security to retain their loyal followers or they will look for a better and secured alternatives.
