61  Economy / Gambling / Re: How high is the probability of accusations vs. casinos in BitcoinTalk are true? on: June 07, 2024, 04:37:19 PM
I don't think anybody would be believing a brand new or a newbie account for their accusations unless and until they have any solid evidence against the casino site.
We have already seen so many accusations with false claims which is a big reason not to trust newbie accounts.
The thread might be getting a lot of responses but that is something which we cannot control much in a public forum like bitcointalk.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: June 07, 2024, 04:32:13 PM
What is going on at BC at the moment?
They yet again raised the min withdrawal amount for btc withdrawals to 0.0012 btc ??

I mean, when the price of bitcoin was lower the minimum withdrawal amount was 0.0009, which was around 60$ and now that it's higher they raise the min amount so the minimum withdrawal is 85$??

That doesn't make any sense. Right now I feel like they are making all the wrong moves.
Any casino like bc.game is just adjusting because of the network so, as pakhitboss said that the network congestion is appearing again, it will reflect to the fees. They're dynamic and that's why we're having that much fee right now and to be honest, as I am checking the fees now in th network it is going to cost 333 sat/vB for the highest priority. Bc.game has its integrated exchange/swap so you can convert it into another altcoin that has a cheaper fee and withdraw that through it. You'll save a lot of fees doing that, I hope it helps.

Dude, why don't you read what I wrote before.
It doesn't matter if the mempool is congested or not. If you would actually play at bc you would know that withdrawal fees are covered by the player, and not by the casino.
And it doesn't matter if they let you swap, if you want to keep btc you want to keep btc and not swap it because of their way too high limits. Also, doing a swap costs fees as well, it's not free.

Anyway, seems like you guys don't want to understand and just repeat what the person before said.

3 people now have spoken about inflated fees even though I clearly said in my post that this doesn't matter because of the fees being paid by the player, as usual. This shows me you don't really read, just reply for the sake of posting a reply.

I was wondering the same thing as to why are people posting about high transaction fees whereas you have mentioned the minimum withdrawal fees.
I was doubting myself whether I read clearly until I read this post of yours mentioning the same thing  Grin
While it's true that the minimum withdrawals are higher now, I personally don't think that should be a problem.
You can just deposit a few $ extra so that it covers up the difference and then later withdraw the same when you are in need but the catch is that you shouldn't be using that extra $ for gambling  Grin
Jokes apart, I know that the min withdrawal is high but what's the real issue here ?
63  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Payout In Error - Should i advise them? on: June 07, 2024, 04:08:56 PM
Hi
I am not to sure how to approach this. I have played on a new online casino which I received the 100% offer. However, post wager my cash once the bonus amount was credited to main balance. I thought it was an error and would get stopped at withdrawal however, this was not the case. So I cashed out the amount and played with the remaining balance. I did make winnings of this and then withdrew again.

I received the funds relatively quickly - with no questions. It is a new casino called betvision.io so think they not aware something is not working. Should I tell them?

feeling confused  Huh
Joan

Is it a marketing strategy ? Why would someone post about a potential exploit on a public forum ?
If you wanted to take advantage of the exploit then you wouldn't post it here on the forum.
If your morales are good then you wouldn't have had to ask this question and you would have intimated the casino site already.
The fact that you are asking this here makes me wonder if the site you mention is a scam site.
64  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 07, 2024, 04:04:57 PM
From the look of things and my personal observation, I thjk it's clear enough to understand that possibly some of the teams, or previous teams rather, are no longer functional, and I am personally suspecting that they likely had some serious internal issues which they are hiding from the public.

Said this because, all of a sudden, TheQuin (which is one of the most recognized board member of freebitco) no longer comes to this forum, and even when he does, he stopped replying to freebitco user's concerns on this thread, so that says something.

Them being a well experienced player in this industry, they really shouldnt have allowed this issue get to this level before seeking out solution, but all the same, let cross our fingers and see what the future is freebitco will turn out to be, whether they Wil be able to restore their dying reputation or they will end up losing it completely.

What you are saying makes sense and things are more clear now. The recent incidents could have been handled very well but it just became worse day by day.
TheQuin not responding on this thread anymore shows us that things are off at freebitco.in.
Freebitco.in PR announcing that they are hiring customer associates confirms that TheQuin won't be responding on this thread any time soon.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are any of you guys are winning with probably fair games? on: June 06, 2024, 04:40:31 PM
I'm currently searching for probably fair games and how they work. Are you guys playing this? If so, which games do you recommend?

Probably fair games, do they depend solely and exclusively on luck or on skills too?

Skills are not much involved in "provably fair" games and so winning such games does not guarantee that you will win the same way again in the future.
No matter what strategy you try, you won't be able to stay consistent in it as provable fair games depends more on luck.
So if you have a good luck then you can just pick any of the provably fair games and test your luck in them.
Skills, let alone strategy, are actually not very useful in games with a possibly fair system, I am one of those people who don't believe in a possibly fair system even though I can verify my seeds, in fact not many gamblers win and beat the dealer, in the end the dealer will always win, especially not. There are also casinos that go bankrupt because the game system that uses a system may be fair in their games, it is clearly impossible, basically winning depends on how we use the mindset correctly.

I'm sure that almost all casino games where we play against the dealer will definitely be difficult to win, that's why many people who aim to gamble want to win actually feel disappointed by the defeat they experience so that in the end they become addicted because they don't control their emotions, there are many games that might be fair but actually it makes more sense to bet because for me it is much fairer than other casino games, it all comes back to each person's views and most importantly use a healthier mindset.

Ofcourse we can't beat the casino sites because they are designed in such a way that even if the system is provably fair then we won't be able to win in the long run because of the house edge.
You must already be knowing how the house edge works due to which we eventually keep losing no matter what we do.
Provably fair system is just a way to verify that the bet we are doing is not manipulated.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lack of capital or knowledge, which one is holding traders back from profits? on: June 06, 2024, 04:32:19 PM
According to me, it's the knowledge that is required to gain profits from trading.
No matter how much capital you have, if you don't have the required knowledge then you will end up losing all your capital.
We should learn to trade with a small capital and then gradually increase our capital when we start making consistent profits.

I second your thoughts because I have seen people having huge capital and losing it all due to lack of knowledge wherein people with knowledge have performed well with little capital and made a fortune out of it. I will take my own example as I had been in both the situation I more than $2000 in future trading without much knowledge on it as I assumed since I have more capital my gains would be higher, also at one point of time started with $5 and made more than $1000 but his time with knowledge and proper strategy wherein I was sticking to my protocols.

I guess you mean you "lost" more than $2000 in futures trading. Uh, that's bad. You must have felt horrible losing that kind of amount.
$2000 is a not a small amount to lose but it's good that you learn your lession and improvised later.
Making more than $1000 just from $5 is really very impressive but at the same time it's hard to belive to be honest.
Anyway, the lesson here is to learn as much as you can and keep improvising and learning from mistakes.
67  Local / India / Re: Every upcoming economy or stable economy is now launching BTC ETF! on: June 06, 2024, 04:26:27 PM
Bitcoin ETF has been successful in the US knowing that other countries like China (using HK as a proxy), Australia, and now a third-world country like Thailand is using this opportunity to utilize Bitcoin to boost its economy.

In the meantime India after the completion of the election is still contemplating, who will form the government. As we know the ruling government will again form the government.

Going back to the shit policy by them do you think there will be a time when India will have its own Bitcoin ETF? Looking at the present situation I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

The reason, as per my understanding, is simple: they will be focused on something unrelated to cryptocurrencies or their evaluation, thus avoiding it being considered a way to launder money.

Can Modi government come up with such a new way to get Bitcoin on the Indian stock market?

How would somebody be able to launder money by investing in bitcoin ETF ?
Now that bitcoin ETF has been approved by the SEC I think it will be launched in India too.
This will comply with the AML policies of Indian government and will allow more people to buy bitcoin indirectly thus adding more taxpayers to the list.
I don't think there is any reason why the Indian government will not decide to approve the launch of bitcoin ETF any time soon.
68  Local / India / Re: Stay Away from F2F trades if you are from Delhi or nearby! on: June 06, 2024, 04:21:40 PM
F2F aka face to face trading exists in all over India especially since government imposed 30% capital gains on crypto assets just to evade these which doesn't mean it's money laundering until they prove the source of the funds are coming from illicit activities whether it's ED or IT. But it's not recommended cause mostly it is going to put ourselves in these kinds of situation sooner or later.

I just want to share my experience as well, many people approached me for f2f trading from LBC when it was operating now in Paxful and they are  even tempted me with over 20% price from market price that makes it obvious that these are not just tax evaders but involved in some kind of illegal stuff which I avoided completely.

20% off from market price ? That's interesting. Why would somebody do that ?
One thing I can make out of this is if a person has obtained bitcoins from illegal source like scamming or hacking or something.
What else could be the reason for someone offering a 20% discount ?
69  Other / Meta / Re: There's enough merits, if hoarders aren't selfish. on: June 05, 2024, 03:41:29 PM
Are you tracking people whether they are hoarding their merits or not ?
Unless you are using bpip tool to monitor different users on the forum it will be really difficult to tell if the people are hoarding their merits or not.
You remember the names eventually. Let's say I wanted to merit you but I never checked your profile. I would visit it and click on your merit stats. It takes me two seconds to see if you are sending merits. I would expect anyone who receives merits to spend them as well. I don't care how, in which quantities, or to which users. I just like to see them being circled.

That would work well if you want to verify whether a person is sending merits but only on a high level.
Suppose my merit stats show that I haven't sent any merits (even that is only for the last 120 days) but that doesn't mean I am a merit hoarder.
What if I don't really have any merits to send and I have sent it all already?
I might have not received any merits in the last 120 days and so I couldn't send it to others as well.  Huh
70  Local / India / Re: Election results and impact on crypto policies in India on: June 05, 2024, 02:40:06 PM
I actually used the opportunity to buy some of the stocks that dropped on yesterday's market and managed to inflate my folio by quite a bit.

Even I had bought some shares to average out but it wasn't much though. I didn't have enough capital, just 10% of my existing portfolio.
Anyway, it's good to buy assets at cheaper price. Now that Modi government is back on track I guess the prices will start rising further.

I somehow want the opposition to come to power and then do what they promised to my fellow countrymen.

As they have said they will abolish all previous decisions and laws taken by the BJP, I am wondering whether they will remove the tax law and come up with a new one. If that happens then we can make good profits like we did before 2022.

Why will they withdraw the rules which are giving them monetary benefit directly ?
Higher tax means more money for them which will eventually be used for corruption.

72  Other / Meta / Re: There's enough merits, if hoarders aren't selfish. on: June 03, 2024, 04:46:27 PM

Mind you, there's a difference between hoarders and merit sources, to begin with.

What's your opinion?

Are you tracking people whether they are hoarding their merits or not ?
Unless you are using bpip tool to monitor different users on the forum it will be really difficult to tell if the people are hoarding their merits or not.
Besides that, if people are hoarding their merits then there is no point of it because we don't have any kind of benefit for hoarding merits.
It's better to give it away which is it's sole purpose anyway but then again we have all the rights to choose whom to merit.
Even I become really choosy when it comes to meriting posts but because I have only a small amount of merits with me.
73  Other / Meta / Re: Application for Merit Source - TheUltraElite on: June 03, 2024, 04:12:27 PM
I support the merit source application of @TheUltraElite and can vouch for him, having been on the forum for a considerable time myself.

As a member of the same local board, I can confirm that things have been challenging for the Indian Bitcointalk users recently. The primary reason for the lack of activity on our local board is the Indian government's skeptical stance on crypto and the heavy taxes it imposes, which discourages people from using crypto.

Language is also an issue as we speak different regional languages and so we prefer to write our posts in English so that every Indian user can know of what we are trying to say. Since English is the primary language of the forum, people prefer posting on global boards for a wider audience and obviously to get more exposure to merits.

We have tried to address this by organizing activities, challenges, posting regularly and encouraging other Indian users to contribute useful posts. However, the lack of a merit source still remains a significant problem.

I'm not a merit source, but still I have quite a few smerits in my account which I will try to distribute when I have time  Smiley

The position has become difficult to handle and a few members were threatening me to distribute merits in our local. Hence, I have retired from the position  Smiley

Why edited the response out? Let people at Meta know what was happening behind. Who was threatening him for merit...

Good that you brought up this. Having been from the same local board I have known Heisenberg_Hunter for quite some time and I can say that he is a gem of a person. He used to merit the posts which were merit worthy and always encouraged the Indian users towards crypto. He also took the initiative of hosting Raffles especially for the Indian users to bring in more traction.

All I can say is he did well as a merit source and I hope that @TheUltraElite gets the merit source position too and lives up to the level as well. After all, all we want is to get more people to be aware of crypto, encourage them towards using it securely and reach to a better place in terms of financial well being.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Generating the private and public keys 100% offline on: June 02, 2024, 04:05:47 PM
Hello,
Assume the private and public keys for Bitcoin were generated via the legitimate and secure desktop application.
This desktop was never connected to the internet. The application installer was copied into the desktop from pendrive and thus the application was installed on this desktop when it was already disconnected from the internet.
After copying the generated private and public keys to the pendrive the desktop disk was erased and thus this desktop was never connected to the internet.
Later some crypto were sent to the public address.
My main concern is that someone else may do the same and possibly generate the same pair of keys thus unintentionally gain access to my crypto.
Are my concerns justified or this scenario is totally impossible ?
I believe the application may be any desktop wallet and it is not limited to BTC only.

Thank you for clarification.

Even if you had your computer connected to the internet then the possibility of someone else generating the same public key as yours is next to impossible.
So you don't have to worry about the fact that the keys might be generated by someone else too.
Then comes the fact of securing your coins and I think you should be good with the technique you are using.
Just make sure you are using a genuine application to generate the keys.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found This Stupid Promotion Circulating on Social Media on: June 02, 2024, 03:50:47 PM
A not new but a crazily pumped meme coin has posted this information on social media.
Quote
jfyi the valuation of Notcoin is still 0.15% of Bitcoin

To an extent it seems a social gimmick to promote thier shit coin. Whereas for the people outside this forum this will mean big as in those who believe in meme coins.

They would literally inspire others who have the same believe that meme coins can make them rich even if they don't invest in Bitcoin. I believe secretly everyone who are investing in meme coins have a secret objective.

I remember my early days in the forum and every single member investing in the altcoin market had a single objective to convert all or a part of their gains to Bitcoin.

I am not aware of what is happening now as I am too busy accumulating more Bitcoins. While, some of you are still trading altcoins or meme coins and I would like to ask from you guys that;

Do you still believe in Bitcoin and do you guys are still following the same pattern of converting some of your earned crypto to Bitcoin?

I am not a fan of meme coins either and I personally think they are a waste of time and effort. We shouldn't be bothered investing in it.
If we are buying meme coins then we are just gambling it and hoping that our luck shines and the coin gives us good profits.
I guess almost everyone knows that meme coins are just for quick bucks and there is no other secret objective other than this.
Everyone wants to buy more bitcoins at the end.

I have been unable to utilize my WoF spins lately and they accumulated to a decent amount and I finally got the time to spin them.
I had around 419 WoF spins and got pretty good rewards from them. I personally liked the 5 GT reward.
Never have I ever had 5 GT in my account so far and so it feels good to hold them. I wonder how much @Betwrong is holding right now.  Tongue

Cool discussion to lighten the mood here despite how chaotic the thread now for multiple issue arising about pending withdrawals and security issue. I highly commend the positivity here and trust on the casino being able to leave your money still intact in the casino despite some minor warning.

I’m honestly curious about the user experience in the casino? Is it still the same normal even before all this issue arise? I don’t have an account here but I will definitely withdraw all my funds temporarily if I have an account here.

Withdrawals are now being processed smoothly and so there is no need to worry about leaving your money on the site.
Although there are a few people who are still facing some issues with the withdrawals, most of the people who had been facing this issue earlier have not got their money.
This shows that freebitco.in has no intention to hold any of the withdrawals willingly.
At the same time, I wouldn't recommend holding big amount of money on the site.
The amount can be anywhere near your affordable budget for gambling which you are ready to lose.
The user experience is still the same as it was earlier, nothing has been changed from that perspective.

snip
Long time ago I was working so hard to buy Bitcoin but I couldn't because I had no job, but starting from this
month of January I have gotten a new job that pays me 5 figures a month and I just use $110 from my salary to buy Bitcoin,so as today is the last day of the month I just bought Bitcoin with part of my salary.
However, I bought it from a 3rd party through the help of a co-worker at my working place.

So, is it safe for me to store my coin there or is there any other wallet I can use to store my coins? I know of electron but apart from the electron is there any other wallet which is safe?.
My profile shows that I am still new on Bitcointalk and I would say with my actions I am very interested in learning more about the accumulation process so I can gain more Bitcoin.

From the screenshot you have provided it looks like the exchange you are holding your bitcoins on is Binance.
While Binance is a reputed exchange it is still not the best option to hold your coins in there.
You can store your coins in a non-custodial wallet like Mycelium, Electrum etc...
Just keep reading various threads on this forum and start you can gain more knowledge on bitcoin.
You can read the articles from below website to know more.

79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: June 01, 2024, 03:36:08 PM
The game of gambling isn't something that people with low patience can survive be it the different types of gambling @sports betting  @casino games like dice and slots, patience is still the key to survive. Sometimes anxiousness and anxiety can make a gambler take decision that he might end up regretting.

Today I experience this ill feeling although am okay now but I thought I should share my experience and thought with some of the gamblers here to see if we are on the same page.

I made a very wrong decision on a game I staked today and this is unlike me because I don't normally check on my games until its settled because sometimes you will tempted with some crazy things like cash-out which is what I did today and although you won't blame me to some extent but still if I was patient enough as the final results if the games came through and Instead of winning the whole money, I got only a fraction of the funds.

It can happen with the best of us. Once we have achieved our targets there's no looking back.
You should be happy that you got your profits and shouldn't bother about the bigger profits that you could have made.
Things could have also gone the other direction and you could have ended up in a loss but at least you still have the profits now.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kicking/banning and or limiting a player for winning too much on: June 01, 2024, 03:05:45 PM
OK, so, sometime last week, a friend of mine got so lucky with his sports betting that he kept winning all his bets, he said himself that he wasnt even sure of some of the games he bets on but he somehow still won it, and according to him, after winning ten times in a row consecutively, the casino placed a limit on the amount of money he can bet in a game, he said he was betting around $500 or more each time, but after being limited, he can't bet more than $10, he got agree and decided to open another account on the same casino (his first mistake), then withdrew all the money on the first account, and deposited exactly the same amount on his second newly created account (his second mistake), and then placed his first bet, and when he came back to check, he discovered that both accounts has been banned, it turned out that immediately his bet on the second account won, the account was banned together with the first one, he's been talking with the casino customer care to atleast allow him withdraw his money, but they said they won't allow him access to the money until after 365 days, that this is a punishment for what he did, and because they don't want to forfiet his money, he must wait, and come back after one year to withdraw his money.

Now, I just want to ask us, if you own a casino, and a particularly customer is always winning, winning and winning, would you kick/ban the customer, or limit him or her?
And why please?

Why do casinos limit or ban a user when he or she is winning too much, but do not do the same when the user is losing too much as well?

I will be honest here and if I were a casino owner then yes I would surely limit a user who has been winning continuously.
Why ? because I am running a business here and I won't want to go end up in huge losses.
Also, may be the user has found some technique to abuse the system and so I would want to make sure such people are restricted from placing huge bets.
I find it pretty normal from a casino owner's point of view. I know this doesn't sound so good from the gambler's perspective but this is how it should be.
