What do you think about Bitcoin Directory?
im spending almost a month developing this project
when I start this im positive that it can help new users discover websites related to bitcoin.
because when I start in bitcoin it takes a lot of time before I find out something new about bitcoin
so recently I start to think what can I do to help a newbie
the conclusion is to build a website where I can categories every website related to bitcoin
so a newbie can discover the website they will need in the future if they plan their journey in bitcoin
but today I ask myself again if this really can help a newbie
that why I want to ask your opinion and suggestion.
Do you find it helpful or not? why?

Crypto website link submission is free you just need to make account
Is this for real? Do you do any cross-check all of the submitted links by your users before you listed it up? Does not mean to offend but if you did not check it then your site is untrustworthy, I mean who knows if someone deliberately creates an account to spread any phishing links in your site.
i only have few submission and i always check it before i add it in my website
almost all the link is added by myself manually based on suggestion, review and some research
if they see scam project the report link is only in the footer of the website: https://cryptodirectories.com/report-link

The concept is very good but the logo of your website is bit classic and it doesn't look attractive It would be better if you can change your logo. Also add some more lists on your home page so more users can click on it at first. Else I loved your website and bookmarked it.
Thanks for the suggestion I appreciate it
i will keep in my mind and look for a better logo in the future and add more content on the home page

65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDirectories.com - Crypto Website Directory on: September 11, 2020, 10:08:31 AM
Even though I am not really a fan of directories and especially not for SEO, I thought adding my project www.btcgosu.com would make sense and wanted to try it out. I have just submitted the information, thank you very much for your service.
I'm sorry to inform you that i will reject your website for now
we still don't have categories or list where i can list your website
but i will add your website in the future i just need time to do some research
so i can make a list of website similar to yours

Update: Now listed in Crypto Listing / Reviews Sites List
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 10, 2020, 03:45:42 PM
It certainly had a risk of its own but in my opinion, Bitcoin is not a big of a risk to other cryptocurrencies, I think Bitcoin has established a safe zone that it will not end up becoming a zero value anymore so if you had spare money why not give it a try,

Some people often don't want to get involved with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because of the fear of that little risk, and I have talked to a friend that said Bitcoin is only for the rich because on the value of bitcoin, But I think even establishing your own business has a risk everything has a risk involved in doing it and doing nothing.

“The biggest risk is not taking any risk... In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” – Mark Zuckerberg
bitcoin is hard to learn and a little bit complicated
that is why those who dont have knowledge about bitcoin
view it with higher risk because it hard for them to understand at first
every investment really have a risk but they can lower the risk if they have enough knowledge about it
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profitable days of holding bitcoin percentage (98.5%) on: September 10, 2020, 03:13:14 PM
if you just buy and hold bitcoin, you have a very high likelihood of profiting. (This is assuming that the future bitcoin performance will be similar to the past).
holding is really one of the best ways to gain profit in bitcoin only if you didn't buy it at high prices
The bitcoin market is unpredictable you will need a lot of patience and knowledge to avoid some losses

let us have a healthy discussion
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: you're making bitcoin complicated on: September 02, 2020, 07:20:32 PM
I won't agree with you. Old users want to tech perfect things about bitcoin, so the new user will not regret it in the future. If someone asks you about a bitcoin wallet then you should suggest a good wallet as a senior bitcoin user, web wallet wouldn't safe ever and newbies would regret when they will face many problems like KYC and account block. Even they can't buy a hardware wallet they should use a noncustodial wallet and no cost for it. If you don't suggest a hardware wallet then how newbies will no that it is such as an option to keep safer your bitcoin.

Regarding earnings, everyone earing from a different way, so they will suggest as same. Also, they should know regarding anonymity, either they follow it or not. I can't see anything wrong here.
for the newbie, they dont need to be afaid in kyc and  I don't think the account block will happen as long as they don't do fraud.
in my opinion all wallet is not safe it just depend how you use it

Instead of a web wallet that is free and easy to use.
And completely insecure. And it teaches the newbie to trust an anonymous stranger with their coins, which is the exact opposite of what bitcoin was designed to do. There's a reason a lot of people recommend hardware wallets, and that's because they are a good balance of security and ease of use for newbies. If you teach a newbie to use a web wallet, who is then phished or hacked and loses all their coins, then there is no faster way to turn them away from bitcoin.
But in my own perspective Newbie is not someone who have a lot of coin. they are someone who is just starting in bitcoin and want to try it
and if ever they plan to invest on it i think they will do and make they own research.

Instead, teach them one of the basic ways to earn bitcoin which is micro earning where they can earn small amount of bitcoin like faucets for them to test bitcoin
Faucets are pointless. You will spend hours filling in captchas to earn a few cents worth of bitcoin. We shouldn't be telling newbies to join signature campaigns either, and every time I see someone recommend a brand new account a signature campaign I cringe.

Bitcoin is money. You can acquire bitcoin the same way you acquire any type of money. Get a job and earn it, sell a good or service for it, or exchange another type of money for it.
if I'm a newbie and just starting to learn bitcoin i will ask dollar instead if i do online job or sell goods and service.what i saying in faucet is for them to test it first as of now no one will send you bitcoin just to try it and if I'm the newbie who is not sure about bitcoin i will not also buy it.

all wallet is not really safe https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-may-know-who-is-behind-the-1-400-btc-electrum-wallet-hack
its all depend how you use the wallet

This is not true, not all the users show the hard way for the newbies... Maybe some of them do it but not all of them. And the newbies should search the information by themselves that be there waiting for someone to answer their doubts.

Is the newbie's responsibility to learn the bitcoin basics, and not our responsibility to teach them how it works.
well we cant say that it is our responsibility to teach them because we are the one who know more about bitcoin
its their responsibility to learn bitcoin if they want to use it i just want newbie to learn bitcoin in simplest way

If a newbie asks what is a good wallet to use?
Bitcoin User will answer the hardware wallet which is not free. Yes it is safest but not a newbie-friendly

Instead of a web wallet that is free and easy to use. Every wallet has its own flaws in order to secure your bitcoin you have to learn how to use it and make it secure.
If you encourage newbie to choose random web wallet without knowing the security and do proper research, that newbies will fell to scam web wallet (e.g. freewallet). Electrum is the best wallet for newbie-friendly and safe.
in my opinion web wallet is safe depend how you use it
i use blockchain for a few years but never experience any problem

If a newbie asks how to earn bitcoin?
Bitcoin user will say Signature campaign which is also not newbie friendly because you cant join the signature campaign now if you are a newbie.until they discover the altcoin campaign where they can join but will be disappointed sooner or later because of not getting paid and leave bitcoin and tell that it is a scam.

Instead, teach them one of the basic ways to earn bitcoin which is micro earning where they can earn small amount of bitcoin like faucets for them to test bitcoin
Faucet is useless you need to read this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=825370.msg9220285#msg9220285

Be a freelancer or find a job in real life is better than sit in front your PC and completing captcha every 60 seconds.

as i earn more i also see that faucet is useless but if i look more on it. when i still doing faucet way back on the past few years at that time it is also useless it take a month or more for me to earn some bitcoin which is only a few hundred dollars but i keep doing it because it is free and i have the idea that it will worth it someday instead or watching or reading something in social media while discovering more about bitcoin but if you look at the price of what i earn in faucet in a few months before its more than ten thousand of dollar today.

instead, teach them the basic about bitcoin which is a payment method where they can use online or they can do a person to person transaction

You gotta explain to people how Bitcoin is better than banks, because simply being an online payment method for p2p transactions is not enough, companies like PayPal and Venmo and countless others have been offering it for years, and with simpler user experience. Privacy is a perfectly valid point, these days people are paying for VPN and are installing anti-tracking addons, so there's nothing negative about that.
in my opinion bitcoin is not totally anonymous and decentralized it depends how you use it
and if you will teach it to newbie it will make it more complicated
only those who want to take advantage about it will be interested

Bitcoin isn't easy to understand and it all depends on what the person is trying to accomplish.  If they are simply looking to purchase something using bitcoin then setting up a Coinbase account/wallet would be fine.  If they are actually trying to learn about bitcoin and how it works, as well as use proper practices, then they need to learn things like how to use a hardware wallet ( which is NOT difficult to use) as well as the fact that bitcoin is NOT anonymous.

I simply can't agree with your findings here at all.  I think you're off base with how you're trying to approach these things.  Stop being lazy is my answer to much of this. Educate yourself so that you know how to do things properly.
if your using hard wallet it its good for you because you have some bitcoin to store
but what I'm talking about is newbies point of view
newbies is those people who is starting to learn bitcoin why do they need hardware wallet as if they have bitcoin to store
in my opinion almost all the newbies is only having a small amount of bitcoin some of the don't have any
they just want to test it, make transaction , withdraw some or buy small amount.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / you're making bitcoin complicated on: September 02, 2020, 02:03:21 PM
Bitcoin user is making bitcoin complicated for a newbie
I discover that bitcoin is becoming more and more complicated not because it is really hard to understand
but instead those who are not new in bitcoin are making it complicated. (Even Myself  Grin)
as I think a little bit deeper I realized it and plan to change my approach to the newbie as a self-reflection.
I want to learn more how can i make bitcoin newbie friendly as simplest as possible.

Example:

If a newbie asks what is a good wallet to use?
Bitcoin User will answer the hardware wallet which is not free. Yes it is safest but not a newbie-friendly

Instead of a web wallet that is free and easy to use. Every wallet has its own flaws in order to secure your bitcoin you have to learn how to use it and make it secure.

If a newbie asks what good thing about bitcoin? anonymity?
Bitcoin user wants to teach about one the good thing about bitcoin which is anonymity but for a newbie point of view, it will also make confusion because if im the newbie why do I need to become anonymous if im not planning to do bad things.

instead, teach them the basic about bitcoin which is a payment method where they can use online or they can do a person to person transaction

if you have any suggestion , categories and idea just let me know
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Fees on: September 02, 2020, 08:12:52 AM
The fees to send ETH are minimum $5 in fees ... is it going to change back to "normal"?
Who dictates how much fees are charged?

If ETH is claimed to be decentralized where are those high fees coming from if not from a centralized party?!

it is because of the large transaction in the ethereum network
there is thousand of token inside the ethereum network while the TPS(transaction per second) of ETH is 15
if thousand of token moved at the same time there will be a lot of pending transaction
and when there is a lot of pending transaction there will be a prioritization of transaction
and highest fee will be the first to be included in the block by the miner

73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slow adoption and decentralized nature of bitcoin on: September 02, 2020, 07:45:58 AM
Should we learn bitcoin or not?
Should we promote simplicity and avoid complexity?
Can bitcoin continue to exist if majority of people don't want to be taught about importance of bitcoin and ideas behind it?
we need to learn bitcoin
everyone need to learn the basic and learn the complicated things after
for newbies we need make it simple for everyone to understand
the idea of bitcoin is large if you will also include blockchain its very very large
that's is why the simpliest the better let them know that bitcoin is online money where they can use to pay online
its acceptable by many merchant and they can earn it free online and so on.
if we will start in anonymity , decentralization, inflation , supply , mining and other complicated things it will be hard for them to understand
at first i also only know the basic about bitcoin but while i keep using it i start to learn the complicated things
and i think it will also be the same for those new in bitcoin.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDirectories.com - Crypto Website Directory on: August 29, 2020, 05:26:49 PM
Crypto Directories is still under development and i plan to add more links and list in the future.
You might want to also consider adding the ability to down-vote, report and comment...
- Some of the listed websites have accusations against them + there's a need to change some of the descriptions that appear after hovering over a few of them.
i will try to add downvote in the future
i add report link form https://cryptodirectories.com/report-link/
i allow the comment section for the page list
some of the description is auto generated from link description but its editable only by admin and user who submit the link
maybe i also add suggest edit form
Thank you for the suggestion.

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Gas transactions price is about to hit 300 on: August 12, 2020, 11:46:24 PM
i know its sound crazy but its really happend to ETH when i try to send my 0.01 eth to gambling website, im getting shock when see the ethereum gas price is about hitting 300 , currently if you want to get confirmed faster with ETH chain, you need to use 275 GWEI for your transactions is getting confirmated in 2 minute, tell me what are you gonna do with your ETH if you hold some, are you gonna sell and move to other altcoin like in 2017 when smartcontract are very popular with the kitty on ethereum chain?.

dont you think we are on same situations as 2017-2018 when the gas for eth is high people start move to litecoin & dogecoin which have small fee and the both coin getting very pump.
i use myetherwallet today to send some token
my fee is almost $8 so i try to use around $2 at first and it failed then i try $3
what i didn't realize is when the transaction failed the fee you use for gas will also be loss in the end i use $13 with one transaction
if the fee continue to rise many user will try to look for alternative
its not really good idea to use ethereum right now when the fee is high

80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / is this the best time to teach about bitcoin? on: March 20, 2020, 11:00:58 PM
we are now in the time of crisis due to coronavirus pandemic
almost everyone is just staying at home because of community quarantine and many companies already announce their stop-work order
i think this is the best time to teach people about bitcoin and get some potential new investor or holder in the future
but the big question is HOW?

many people are looking for a way to earn online but afraid to touch bitcoin
because of the rapid change in price and it's not newbie friendly anymore
but it will not be the same if there is some way to try it first without spending at the start
im also one of those who have doubt about bitcoin at the start
but because there is some way to earn it i have some time to learn it little by little until i realized the potential of bitcoin

that's why im looking idea how i can make people get into bitcoin without spending a single cent at the start
because i think one of the reasons why bitcoin is not gaining interest unlike before because it's not newbie friendly anymore
if we will compare in the past there is not a lot of faucets available now
even the signature campaign is not newbie friendly
they can join is some bounty in altcoin section with a high risk to get scam

if you have some opinion just let me know
Keep Safe Everyone Thanks  Grin
