601  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 26, 2014, 03:55:22 AM
Hi, lots of customers are asking about when we will stop shipping. The official CNY holiday starts on Jan 31st, which means the custom will work on Jan 30th. The UPS will only stop work on 31st, and re-start work on Feb. 1st. So generally speaking our logistical service provider are very hard working. However, to prevent the potential risk involved by the holiday, we will stop accepting the in-stock order on Jan 26th, 14:00 Beijing time,  and all of the paid orders will be shipped out before the Jan 27th ends.

After the in-stock miner ordering stops, we will start to sell the miners to be shipped after the CNY. CNY ends on Feb 7th, and we restart the shipping on Feb 10th. Price will be adjusted as well.

BTW, NO I am not posting my bitcoin transactions, so stop asking.  It has nothing to do with whether CTS Miner is legit or not.  This is not about me.  It's about sharing information with the community for the benefit of all.  We all want to profit from mining and we are trying to help each other to do that.  So, if you are not going to help, just read the information and decide for your self.  Maybe even do a little of your own research.

OK, fine. So anyone can safely assume you are not providing any coherent information. Your "sharing information with the community for the benefit of all" is just bullshit talk. The community certainly do not need more unsubstantiated claims for their decisions.

The guy is on the scam and so is his so called brother. He has been shown to lie regarding 2 listings that eBay cancelled and which he had claimed he had sold within 1 minute of posting the listing.
lol, please.....  hard facepalm       too many can vouch for me in here, if you bothered to check my posts, you'd know that, but again, it's easier to just hurl wild accusations and pat yourself on the back...  I think you can all fend for yourselves, I'm doing this just like in KNC for those of us who can actually afford these machines, and want to know. information is shared as its found...simple as that. You see conspiracy, due to lack of doing any background homework, which makes me think you're a teenager with an upgraded jally order that wishes he'll get his monarch someday.

Having folks vouch for you only gets you so far. There have been much more highly respected people on these forums that put your trust to shame (which by the way looks pretty thin if you ask me)

One name is all I need to mention to prove that people are people. Trust on here is only one transaction away from scam.

I know it´s 4 in the morning and i´ve misplaced my tinfoil hat... but am i the only one thinking that maybe birdman (phoenix) and the honolulu dude (maui-something) might be behind the whole scam?

I´n not pointing fingers here, just thinking out loud.

LOL, you are about 10 pages behind mate. Myself and others have either said this or alluded to that very same thought.

Dooh!, OK, time for me to speak up now you guys have made it pretty obvious it's a complete scam, they got me hook line and sinker.
-snip-
14 seconds after they got it, it moved
Final Balance    0 BTC
:/

Got moved into another wallet. which then has distributed payments to various other wallets.

I am no expert on tracking the blockchain but this does not look good.

https://blockchain.info/address/1MLTfBmQ42eTSG5vr4JuSqfHeG13NuygDe
i get a totally different address
so does Maui

Use the address that the guy posted above (12215C29Z1cJYKyGfni9kMTfV4WG7M2b7T) and that will lead to the address I posted. Assuming that is what you mean.
I mean the addresses provided on the site at checkout are all different

Of course they are. I assume that would normally be done so each transaction can be linked to the correct person. I am fairly certain that is the way it works as I used the same exact form that they have there to buy Antminers.

That is disconcerting, but not unheard of.

Doing buisness transfers to various wallets at 3am in the morning ?

Oh fishy, fishy, fishy fish. That went wherever I did go.
607  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 26, 2014, 02:57:45 AM
I would be very worried if I paid them anything. The payments coming into them are being distributed as fast as possible. Someone clearly has their finger on the button as we speak. Keep in mind the time difference over there. They did some transfers only 30 minutes ago.

Maybe someone who is a bit better at chasing the blockchain can take a look....

Seems as though someone at CTS has time to move BTC payments to various wallets but no time to give a simple explanation in this thread. Check times and dates

86 BTC paid in with the majority starting on the 24th. Only 14 btc left in that wallet and that is only because two transactions are confirming.

Well I hope it all works out. I would love to eat my words if this turns out to be true but there are just too many unanswered questions right now. Shame I don't live in the UK anymore. I lived in East Sussex which is not too far from them. I would have taken a ride over there and done the dirty work. Funnily enough I have some past experience with CMS as I purchased a Vigor router from them (online) about 5 years ago. Not in the same league as this of course and they were only the distributor of them.

Yeah, hang on a minute. You added that eBay screenshot after I responded.

I thought you sold them with the buy-it-now option as you stated.

Both Neptunes sold in about a minute on ebay. Thank you.

And

Both Neptunes sold in about a minute on ebay. Thank you.

Do you mind sharing the price you sold them for?
Also how do you handle the trust issue?
How do you make the buyer trust you that you will ship the miners after you receive them?

Thank you.

$16,500 and I think I was too low.  I didn't do an auction.  Just buy now button.

Ok well based on your screen shots I would have to say that you are not totally full of shit. Just very foolish Smiley

Assuming they are not Photoshopped of course. A copy of the email that you received with the BTC payment address would have been much better as the blockchain cannot be faked.

New tidbit:

http://www.ctsminer.com/what-are-asic-miners/

Quite a lot of the text is copied from here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application-specific_integrated_circuit

Some of it is word for word including commas and punctuation. The rest is just bullshit filler.

Not very good for Steve Hodgesons credibility if you ask me.

Still waiting for your proof of purchase maui. Also if you would be so kind as to post your KNC eBay sale that would go a long way to prove that you are not totally full of shit like I think you are.

Hate to break it to you but that does not look much better.

So Maui. Are you going to show us your payment so we can check the blockchain

Got awfully quiet in here now. I can only hear the birds chirping  Roll Eyes

617  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 26, 2014, 12:00:45 AM
I have 2 s1 chirping like a small jumbo jet in the garage running.
All seems fine however every now and then the boxes show in the status all X on every spot where was a O
They was doing around 175 Gh after alot of threads about these miners, i decided to change the fan by removing the blue wire from the connector. which made the fan do its max speed. Ofcourse this results in a massive drop in temp.
Before the change the box was doing 46 C after the fix the temp dropped to 29 C running at the same 350 Mhz

Since it ran so cool i began slowly upping the speeds from 350 to 375 Mhz which did give a pretty nice boost in Gh.
The temp of both boxes stays between 30 to 31 C.
Because i saw all seemed to be fine i upped them both to 387 Mhz but one began giving more errors and began running slower so i changed it back after 10 minutes to 375 Mhz
The one doing 387 Mhz seems todo fine at that speed, when i up it to 393 i see it hash slower and giving more errors so after 5 minutes changed it back to 387 Mhz.

But my concern is still why did it show all the XXX on the asics while it seemed it was hashing ok.
Have to wait what happens now that i changed the fan to run full speed constant.

That has been mentioned in the thread. As long as the miner is still hashing at the same speed then it is Okay. It is just a cosmetic issue. If it bothers you just reboot the machine Wink

You might even get lucky and buy a low clock like I did only to have it hashing away ever since on high clock. Wink
