Bryan Ruiz, was not he the one destined for big things at some point? Think he ended up at Fulham or the like.

Think Costa Rica has this in the bag.
602  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Poll] Which team will win the World Cup 2014? on: June 29, 2014, 09:20:53 PM
I want Costa Rica to win, I love how they play, they deserve the cup.

I am backing them, but no way they are going to win this thing.

Still backing Germany, somehow feel that the Dutch wheels will come off at some point.
603  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: June 29, 2014, 09:17:49 PM
Both teams deserved to win, but I'm happier that Netherlands was the one to win(they disclassified would mess my parlays);

Hope that Costa Rica wins by 4vs0 against the greeks, Greece has an awfull defensive football and they deserved to lose al their group stage matches

Agreed. Greek football is terrible to watch. They barely squeezed by group stage competition and will be up against a formidable Costa Rican side. Hopefully they get destroyed

Costa Rica is a real inspiration. They have shown how 11 players playing for each other as part of a team can achieve.

Their energy is incredible.

I am still putting my money on Germany. But it will be clearer at the end of group stages. This tournament has been quite unexpected.

Wank away, my friend. If t does not work the first time do again. You will be dead in your bed before you get to your 3rd try.

Only 1 more and I can sleep!

If you are doing it so quickly you are not doing it right. Are you sure you got your technique locked in? Tongue
606  Other / Off-topic / Re: I have 30 days to live. on: June 21, 2014, 11:47:35 PM
The doctor breaks the news to you and you have maybe 30 days to live.

How will you invest that time? Will you spend it with loves ones....Or maybe continue working to keep your mind off of it?

Will your sanity break? What regrets will fill your mind?

You have wasted more than 30 days in your life just taking a piss. Considering that the timer starts now.

29D:23H:59M:58S  left.

Will probably just resign and go meet my family and friends. Then blow whatever money I have on whatever pleasures I can afford.

This has been very fun. England, Spain, one of Italy and Uruguay getting out. From the group of death the first qualifier is Costa Rica. I love it when there are upsets Smiley
608  Other / Off-topic / Re: What was the BTC price when you joined the community? on: June 21, 2014, 11:44:25 PM

610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 21, 2014, 11:38:14 PM
There is something that puzzles me about the nature of bitcoin followers traders here.
They are often highly invested in the value developement of the currency, but so little invested in the creation of that value they follow so closely.
Ofcourse certain announcements that retailer X or payment processor Y is now accepting bitcoin are mentioned, but actively doing something, setting up shop and evangelising with a profit seems to be done somewhere else.

(If you know where, I wouldn´t mind a pointer.)

The clue is in the title of this subforum. You ill notice that a lot of these posters here also post elsewhere.

Sober, banker types? Yes, they have done so much good these nice bankers.
613  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 21, 2014, 11:33:40 PM
Are we seriously discussing whether r "uberbull" pietila has been, consistently, way overconfident in his price estimations?

So please don't be a lazy ass, blatchcorn... If you're seriously in doubt about that, go to his post history. Examples of "that's rock bottom, we'll never go this low again" will be easily found. He also stated during the February drop that this was the end of the correction (when we had another 2 months left). And let's not even talk about the 2013 era when he claimed there's no way we wouldn't hit $100k by the end of the year.

He was right about going into the 400s, but even that was too optimistic as we hit the 300s after all, and he was far from being the only one in here who predicted lower prices. That said, I do give him credit though for saying the above, considering that this was a "bearish" target coming from one of the most bullish posters in here, so it added some weight.

He has been in optimistic phase over the last year. Before that it was the opposite and he used to be all pessimistic.

Great chart and extrapolation.

More like wishful thinking.

It will go there eventually, though. Just be patient.
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2014, 10:35:23 PM
What are the charts saying today? Up, down? I think we will have to wait at least till Wednesday or Thursday to see which side it is headed.
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bubble starting to burst? on: June 16, 2014, 10:33:53 PM
So what do you guys think? Price drop again - is the bubble bursting before the ralley upwards end of the year? Will we see the 10000$ end of the year??

This is hardly anything. It is very volatile which makes it great for gamblers like us Smiley

I would like to see the price of bitcoin stabilize even if it means that the price is a little bit lower. A stable price will allow for more people to adopt it as a currency

Bitcoin will not be a currency but will be a store of value.

Besides, currencies go up and down all the time.
617  Economy / Economics / Re: Would u pay in bitcoin? on: June 15, 2014, 09:58:44 PM
My question is if u see something u would like to buy and this item is offered at a lower price if paid using bitcoins, providing that you don't already have a wallet or coins would you take the time to set up a wallet and buy bitcoins just to be able to receive a discount on the item u wish to purchase?
I believed atm most people would not bother and pay full price,
WHY IS THIS SO?

If its cheaper then yes.

The lite wallets should be more publicised. Asking for a day to sync will turn off newbies.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: $50k to Invest - Convince Me! on: June 15, 2014, 09:57:16 PM
I think you need to do your own homework rather than asking to be convinced. Its a risky investment. It could continue to grow or it could drop to zero.

Do you have specific questions?

Sound advise. Your money, your risk, you have to do your own due dilligence.

You can also look around for some so called 2.0 coins, though I do not have much faith in them.
