I don't know more than you, but POSA itself (anon transactions) are working with the latest wallet 1.9.7.33. The point is the TRUSTLESS anonymity which wasn't met by the devs in this version. That was the major point revealed in this audit. |

At one point. the price of 1 CLOAK used to be 18 times higher than it is now. Now let me ask you a question: If you were the dev of this coin, would you have the motivation to continue at this point? After all that has happened? After all the trolling, after all the aggressive demands of spoilt investors, after all the dumping? You can wait for news, but I wouldn't hold my breath. There is not a single reason for the devs to continue on this project. It would make more sense for them to start a new coin. But I would say they will never return to crypto again, as crypto probably haunts them in their nightmares. It's quite sad, they didn't deserve this faith. At least it was a good learning experience for them, they might be able to use some of the learnings of this project in their professional careers when they reach maturity/leave high school.
There's still a ton of potential in this coin, which is why it still hasn't died yet despite everything that has happened. I'll agree with you that only a strong willed person would have the motivation to continue with this project, but I think that's exactly why Alty has recently said that he won't be posting anymore updates until he has something to show. My speculation is that it was very emotionally draining on him to keep up the interaction and answer questions from upset investors daily, and the only way to continue on this project without going crazy himself is to block people out and just focus on the work. We'll see though, it has been a long time since the last wallet update and many have already written CLOAK off (including myself). If somehow CLOAK receives a nice update with some promised features it would breathe life back into this coin and could be an underdog to look out for. So, in other words, sell and take my loss? No. He wants to say, keep the amount of Cloak you can afford to lose, forget about Cloak, come back in a few months and sell the coins with gains or put them on the dead coins list. |

As some were interested in my current work on my trading suite: I'm doing some good progress (although it's still in its very, very early stage); started some frontend work recently to check out how the backend performs. I found AmCharts to be the best JavaScript charting/plotting lib; free for personal use plus a commercial license available. Although the cloak graphs look quite depressing, heh.  .edit: Resized preview picture. .edit2: Some details: - TYPO3.Flow application (as TYPO3 is quite uncommon in the US (people tend to use Drupal more, I guess): it's a content management system, and TYPO3.Flow is a framework. TYPO3.Flow is to PHP what Rails is to Ruby, to put it simple)
- OOP/MVC coded backend which provides business logic, database connection, API calls etc
- separate frontend which communicates with the backend
Planned features: - automated trading
- technical analysis with different (maybe subscribable, not sure yet) trading strategies and alerts if events occured which are a clear signal to whatever trading strategy
- way more graphs and charts: trading time, volume and price (and maybe some other factors) should be set into relation to kind of get an automated overview, such as e.g. "those famous 177 orders appeared again, get ready for the waves", although I'm not sure if that's a realistic target... short: it should show information about the market which we don't see in the charts on the exchanges
- notifications (maybe via email) on big price movements
Currently, I'm trying to wrap my head around a possible solution for the API key problem. If others ever get to use this application, I definitely don't want to handle their API keys on my server. Although I'm quite used to handling GNU/Linux servers (due to my work), there is always someone who has better skills. And explaining to people why their accounts are emptied is the last thing I want to do. Ever. awesome work! I like it ! |

The problem is: there is not always a way out. Way too many people don't follow the golden rule (don't invest more than you're willing to lose), they took the train 2 months ago ("choo choo!") and now, they're stuck on the wrong side of the train - literally, under the train. Now, those said people are doomed to wait for a rebound, and selling (the way out) would mean a (maybe big) loss, eventually.
This is always the same scheme with "investors" and each and every day there will new investors doing the same mistakes ... |
