601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: August 16, 2022, 08:30:54 PM
As long as we keep this going, its going to benefit all of us and there is no denying that its going to be quite profitable in the long run for sure. But that all depends on us getting it going, if there is a big whale selling, or if there is a hacking situation going on some exchange, some nation banning, etc etc whatever bad news that will make the price go down, then we are not going to be good any time in the future. But if none of that happens and we handle it very well, then its going to be quite profitable for all involved, there is no reason for it to drop, it doesn't need a good news to go up, it could stay like this with no bad or good news and it will go up, as long as there is no bad news.
Without the bad news, you listed above, I still believe it is too early to celebrate the market bullishly and there's no way we can keep going when the market is always subjected to up and down through it being volatile in nature.
I believe the current surge in price is just a normal slightly grow in the price of the market which was impacted through the ETH merge and once it is over there will be huge selling.
602  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recovering stolen funds on: August 14, 2022, 03:58:43 PM
I'm curious to know. Can a stolen funds be recovered from the  scammer by a forensic experts?
No. But there chance of getting the fund if you hire a blockchain expert, report to the authority, reports the Bitcoin addresses used by the scammer on BitcoinAbuse, and have some luck which will make the scammer use CEX because CEX now confiscated Bitcoin that's sent through the reported scammer crypto wallet.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without internet: SMS service allows sending BTC with a text on: August 13, 2022, 10:04:17 PM
This is a cool innovative idea but with the little, I read about it good knowledge is needed to make use of the service. However, I think the major area that I believe Bitcoin needs more attention and innovative ideas is the Bitcoin mining area so it will be more eco-friendly.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: August 12, 2022, 08:29:29 PM
Always remember, not your key not your coin.

That is exactly the right attitude! Nobody should have control over your money except for you. I use the term money in this post but by money I obviously mean Bitcoin, which is the real money. One more mantra that you definitely should add to your coiner values is "hodl". Which means to hold your Bitcoin, not sell or give it away. Even when times are tough, you should remember the true value that it will have in the near future.

If I was not so naive during my newbie days, I would have millions worth in Dollars in Bitcoin.
Exactly because only those that hold for the long term will get the best interest but there's something some Bitcoiner don't understand and the thing is, if we only use Bitcoin as an asset it will never be the mainstream of payment despite the LN which facilitate BTC transaction that's faster than Master/Visa card.
This means there's nothing bad in selling some portion of BTC during a tough time if it is for an important reason.
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm wondering when btc network will launch usdt in the lightning network? on: August 12, 2022, 06:38:57 PM
Your question are impossible because Bitcoin and USDT are never the same but I still don't understand why most people still trust USDT after their aforementioned history.
People still trust tether because it has the highest marketcap among all stable coins, it is using the blockchain of some of the most developed coins like bitcoin, ethereum, tron etc, people believe if those coins do not collapse, that tether is not likely to collapse too. But I am not supporting tether, because it is a totally centralized token.
I think the major reason people use or somehow trust Tether is that it has the most trading pairs and is also the first stablecoin in the crypto market because the blockchain its uses doesn't stop the dev team from scamming then and I am sure if the US sec didn't step into the matter the Tether team will still continue with the act.

Lightning support to many blockchains for not USDT.

608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portuguese Banks Stop the use of Cryptos (Bitcoin) on: August 06, 2022, 11:52:38 PM
Weird, i thought this would be nice income revenue for portugal as others are tighting their grip on cryptos. But i guess you have to follow the big guys when the lobbying and peer pressure is just too high.
The level of naiveness of the Feds about cryptocurrency is so surprising.
After I saw this news, I did some search about the possible reason why a country that once support crypto trading and exchanging could go against and I found out that they stopped the use of crypto because of the fear of potential money laundering.
609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading then switching currencies on: August 06, 2022, 10:55:34 PM
My question is - what happens if I make a successful trade with Ethereum, then I need to convert it back into Bitcoin, but in the meantime the Bitcoin price plummets etc.
That mean your Bitcoin loose values automatically you make lost and if you're to hold the Bitcoin for long term the situation may change. But to prevent crypto investors losing their profit or fund is the reason why Stablecoin were introduced.

With regards to scalping, if someone has GBP in Binance, then they convert this into Ethereum, do a trade and earn even just £5, what would a trader do? Do they keep it as Ethereum until the price starts going down, or change it into another coin they can see going up, or change it back into GBP and withdraw it?
The decision a crypto trader will make depend on the goal and purpose of the trader and the level of the trader experience.
A crypto trader with no experience of portfolio manager shouldnt trade more than a sign coin

610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: July 23, 2022, 04:24:43 PM
I was going to point out what happened to Celsius customer investment which is same scenario to the article that you share but crypto counter part until I notice the Not your keys not your coin word. I believe people should avoid centralized investment platform even if it’s bank or in crypto because same scenario can happened if you don’t hold the keys to the wallet that contain your investment even on DeFi. Holding is the best and trading only in DEX is the best way to play safe on this current market.
I also read about the Celsius issue which I also believe is just like what happened to the people who have money saved in their bank accounts in China and I hope the US SEC will step into this situation rather than create some rules that will hinder the adoption of Bitcoin.
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Hold your bag when you can on: July 20, 2022, 02:58:27 PM
A couple of days ago all I have seen are a lot of threads where people ask questions about the possibility of Bitcoin going down to $1 or coming to an end because they are panicked that Bitcoin may not experience another surge in price due to how the market downtrend a lot in just a few days ago. Are you wondering the reason behind this sudden surge in the price?

It's because "CCP tanks protecting banks because the Bank of China (Henan branch) declared that people's savings in their branch are now investment products and can't be withdrawn."

The world we are living in is far from perfect and issues like this where the institutions and FEDs take advantage of the people will always happen. This will make people realize the purpose of BTC and before that happen hold your bag when you can.
Always remember, not your key not your coin.
612  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you look down on Bushy or undeveloped areas? on: July 19, 2022, 03:30:13 PM
I don't know if most people know that land is considered an asset with the most protracted life span and in cryptocurrency the value of the market is measured by the level of demand and supply.
Technically, the world population will always increase and there will be more people demanding land. Therefore, buying some land in an undeveloped area is a good investment for the future but just like you have to dyor in crypto you also need to do some research about the possible issue or exposure the rural area will get in the future before buying it.
613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can all (or most) cryptocurrencies rise and fall at the same time? on: July 19, 2022, 02:48:36 PM
Whole thing depends on the market condition of cryptocurrencies. And If you look at bitcoin , when it's going to down then most of the currencies also turning to downing. When a cryptocurrency gets hit badly, the price of Bitcoin starts to fall, and all alt-coins around it start to fall. It because of the dominance of bitcoin in cryptocurrency world. And so now during the bearish season Bitcoin prices have fallen and all other coins have fallen in parallel.
Not really, what you mean about market condition is good and bad news. Good news doesn't always make Bitcoin price increase, same applies bad news doesn't always make Bitcoin price decrease. But in short term, it will effect the price since there's still many newbie and weak hand people. Just like now, there's many bad news around when Bitcoin price already go down 70% from the previous ATH, but it doesn't make Bitcoin price continue to decrease.

Acccording to my understand, there are many things that causes the dump in price (it could be bad news, mining difficulty, 4years cycle, level of demand and supply)of the Bitcoin market, and it's not every time that the altcoin follows the market trend of Bitcoin(this always happen when it altcoin season and it will happen soon) . However, the current dump in the market is due to the 4year cycles and every negative news create now is just to cause panic and to shake off the weak hands.
614  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is interest pledge trustworthy? on: July 12, 2022, 09:00:03 PM
The platform I use has launched the pledged interest, similar to renting mining machines, with high returns. I am a newbie, I would like to ask is it true that the revenue is 100%?
I believe this is one of the cloud mining or shady site which always pledge high interest. Just ask yourself how profitable is mining now that someone will promise you a high return.
The best high interest now is you buy BTC now and keep it for the next halving.

One more question, why can't I attach pictures Huh
That's because of your rank but if you provide the link to the image you want to attach, we can quote it for visibility.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin manage to grow over time? on: July 11, 2022, 02:22:10 PM
Yes, we have seen a steady growth in the Bitcoin price, since it has been released ....but it is not a guarantee that it will continue on the same trend. In theory.... the Bitcoin price should continue on this trend, because it is designed on the principle of scarcity ...like other commodities for example Gold.
I think Bitcoin will have to continue the same trend which is the 4years cycles as people said because it was designed to operate that way, to prevent inflation, new market entry and new ATH.

The problem is, scarcity does not guarantee a high price, if there are no demand or use case for it. We have to make sure that there are a constant demand for bitcoins, by supporting the retail outlets and shops that accept Bitcoin as a payment option. (Do not just hoard your bitcoins... use some of it... and keep buying more)  Wink
I think I'm with what you said because when there's a scarcity of an object the price of the object will always go up. About making sure there's a constant demand for BTC, I believe BTC has passed the level since the institutional investors have joined the game and alot of people are hoping to hold a whole BTC.
616  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of printing fiat money to BTC generation. on: July 11, 2022, 01:00:56 PM
Fiat & cryptocurrency is a conflict with each other, both have different functions. Fiat resources don't matter since it's centralized and mandatory for lives. But cryptocurrency isn't mandatory for lives and no centralized organization backs it. Fiat needs to print without limits and Bitcoin need to mine with limits. Fiat needs a lot of resources and procedures whereas Bitcoin needs only power to mine it.
There's no doubt that fiat money requires a lot of resources and yearly printmaking and printing of new notes but I don't see a reason why fiat and cryptocurrency are in conflict with each other as you said, isn't this what the Feds believe?
According to what I once read, Bitcoin was created as alternative means for people's liberty and the mentality of the FEDs is that crypto is in conflict with fiat currency and we also make fiat to be obsolete.
617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fear of losing my coins grabbed me by neck on: July 06, 2022, 06:44:47 PM
Brothers and Sisters on the forum I need your help, I don't have money for a hardware wallet and all I have left is android wallet, the problem is fear of copying my private key into something else, I have come to realise that clicking on COPY on your phone can be dangerous, where to decide to PASTE can be unsafe too, for those who aren't using hardware wallet how are you doing it? What is the safe procedure with mobile wallet users.

A hardwallet is quite cheap... I don't know how much you invested in crypto but probably not a huge amount if you can't afford to buy a hard wallet.
The best thing is just to write down on a piece of paper your seed phare and to never interact with risky websites or tokens.
Ledger Nano S is cheap and I wonder why the OP finds it hard to get one if he's truly the fear of losing his coins grabbed him in the neck since mobile is always vulnerable to attack and it's not advised to use it as storage wallet.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: July 01, 2022, 09:40:54 PM
I think lots of seasoned traders expect this kind of market activity from the high volatility market of Bitcoin.  It isn't a surprise that the price if bitcoin will crash this fast in the market.  It had happened before so it is not surprising anymore.
I think the people that will feel disappointed about the Bitcoin price are people who don't understand the market but the market crash didn't happen fast and you'll agree with me if you know that Bitcoin also starts a bullish market early.

I think we are nearing the latter part of the cycle.  Even Bob Loukas said that the 4-year cycle of Bitcoin is coming to an end and a possible transition of the  this 4-year cycle may happen somewhere between 2022-2023.
Always DYOR and don't rely upon what this influence said. The 4years cycle is not near the latter and according to my research after this bear, altcoin season will start, and after that is Bitcoin season aka halving effect market.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 0.2 ₿ puzzle on: July 01, 2022, 02:52:20 PM
i dont think the puzzle is incorrect, i was looking at threads on reddit and no one came with something plausible.
the runes deciphered i must admit it is a lot of work

i came with a solution and i was shocked when i found that the seed is actually a readable phrase, but not the one unlocking the wallet.
If no one was able to figure the answer (the seed phrase to the wallet) for two years now is either the puzzle is hard or the seeds in the image are not actually the seeds to the wallet that contain the puzzle prize.
