601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH withdrawal to BTC adress on: December 04, 2017, 10:11:23 AM
BCH and BTC are on seperate chains, so you'll need to manage to get your hands on the private key of the address that you sent the funds into.
Everything you can do is to wait answer from Bitpay team, and if they tell you that they cannot help you, then your BCH is long gone.
Best of luck, keep us updated about our situation.

602  Economy / Services / Re: 🔥 ALU Services - Campaign Management, Escrow & Design 🔥 on: December 02, 2017, 04:21:08 PM
This is great news. Don't really know Lauda or Untold, but i have worked with aTriz and he is a really nice and reputable guy.
I'd suggest him for a campaign manager for sure.

-snip-

There are many packages that you don't need for the wallet, and which are meant for services only. For example you won't be needing the following packages at all:
Code:
npm nodejs nodejs-legacy redis-server software-properties-common

The wallet is not written on javascript nor java, so what would it really need the nodejs for example? Also reddis is usually used for databases in combination with nodejs, which is why it's not needed at all. I added the software properties common there as well, because i've never had to install that because it's meant for much different things rather than compiling C++ code. Also after compilation i'd run "sudo make install" just because then it adds the PATHS so you can just call bitsend daemon whatever the location on the terminal is.

Hello.
I see message in wallet: Warning: unknown new rules activated (versionbit 7)
What is it?

Bitsend Core version v0.14.0.3-unk (32-bit)

That's normal. I think that the wallet thinks that the segwit activation does not belong there, however it does and atleast for me transfers work normally so you don't have to worry about that warning at all.
604  Economy / Exchanges / Re: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/ on: December 01, 2017, 05:57:12 PM
Yeah i have. Their support is fairly quick but not the fastest possible. Never had problems with them personally and they are one of the most reputable exchanges in my opinion, and i have not heard many complaints compared to other exchanges like yobit for example. Have you had problems with them or were you just wondering?
605  Economy / Services / Re: 🔥🔥 [HOT GIVEAWAY 0.05 BTC] ANYONE CAN JOIN 🔥🔥 on: December 01, 2017, 02:36:41 PM
I'll join this campaign if you can escrow the funds with some trusted escrow like aTriz.
There has been many cases where the person promising these giveaways has never paid any funds whatsoever and has nowhere to be seen.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin-qt: wallet.dat corrupt, salvage failed on: December 01, 2017, 12:05:20 PM
Well, since pywallet did not work i did some googling for you and found a few things to try, although recovering can be sometimes rather challenging.
First method i would try would be the Bitcoin private key/wallet.dat data recovery tool! which i found on bitcointalk.
However this method takes some technical knowledge and could be possibly dangerous for your data if not done carefully.

However, if you're running windows, then i'd just try Spinrite first because it's fairly easy to use, however im not actually sure if it would work for wallet.dat very well.
Good luck and please keep us updated.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🔹🔹[ANN][BSD] BitSend -The first Segwit Masternodecoin 0.14.0.3 Airdrop on: December 01, 2017, 10:04:42 AM
About this script actually
https://github.com/dArkjON/BSD-Masternode-Setup-1404

From the same person but for bsd masternode. the one you link to is for btx node

Sure, we all agree that so long as clear instructions for compilation are available, you don't need to provide binaries. But in this case, a good guide seems to be missing.
Also, you can't have a guide for all distros and not everyone uses ubuntu 16.04 which seems to be what all guides focus on. So the existence of binaries is very convenient.

If I have trouble compiling it I'll PM you.

I agree, however there are so many distros that it is not just worth the time writing guides for all of the different varitions of distributions.
Ubuntu 16.04 happens to be really common (not sure if the most used version of ubuntu), so of course it provides the most support.
However problem solving is kind of a important part of  the GNU/Linux experience  Wink

If you remember requirements, can you drop it here?

Requirements for what distribution? Package names vary very much, so if you can tell me exact version and distribution, then i can go through whole compilation process on a virtual machine and report back the whole compilation process with easy copy/paste commands.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the best way to take out @bitcoin address my Bitcoin Cash ? on: December 01, 2017, 09:24:05 AM
I'd personally suggest first sending coins from your bitcoin wallet to a new address, because you'll have to reveal your private key on the screen eventually when  importing it to Electron cash (assuming that you are using windows) for example.
I'd not use the same private key again, because in case you have malware on your computer, someone might have access to your private key.  I would not use any web utilites, because im not sure if they are that reputable at all.
Which wallet are you using for your BTC, as i can write you a guide with full commands if needed for exporting the private key from the original wallet and then for importing it to the new one. If you wish to get the guide written, i'd suggest running Malwarebytes scan (after sending the BTC to some other address of course) for example because it's a decent scanner and still a good practice to do while handling money.

Of course you can use GNU/Linux systems too for this, which would be more secure but it takes more technical knowledge most often.
609  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Suomi (Finnish) - Self moderated on: December 01, 2017, 09:07:50 AM
Tän kun sais pinnattua vielä niin löytäisikin.

Joo.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🔹🔹[ANN][BSD] BitSend -The first Segwit Masternodecoin 0.14.0.3 Airdrop on: December 01, 2017, 08:19:57 AM
The problem was not a firewall rule...  imposter had helped to create a masternode. Later lost the user here her masternodes.

Oh, didn't know that because the original post i quoted did not note that. That's unfortunate, sadly people like that do still exist. Although common sense should tell you not to trust someone online blindly, especially with high values like that no matter how much trust they have.

the forthcoming 51% attack will take these lame "masternodes" offline whereas we switch to development of BTX (the real BSD) :-D see how that works?<<<weeeeeee

I never did really realize the point of masternodes either, except for gaining some profits slowly. Usually the cost is very high. However it's encouraging of holding the coins instead of selling them. However i still do think that PoS is alot better because it's fair to everyone and not just those who have the most to invest. Was that "forthcoming 51%" attack a threat or what? I doubt that the attack has that much hashrate Roll Eyes
How is BTX the real BSD? As far as i am concerned, they are seperate coins on different blockchains.

I have to retract (and apologize for) the "compiled binaries" part. You're right, the instructions must be clear for everyone and working. The release notes should contain a warning about known big issues like this one ("not available for Linux" -- WTF?).
I hope that BSD code will regain the qualities that attracted so many supporters. That's a pretty thick "glitch".
BTW, I tested dArkjON's script. It doesn't work on last version of BSD and the culprit seems to be related to a boost component... or a misplaced backslash Cheesy

Are you talking about this script? Also BSD is available for GNU/Linux systems, you just need to know how to compile it. There's no point of using binaries on those systems, if it is available as open source and easy to compile. If you have problems with the compiling, just send me a PM with your operating system and i'll send you a step to step guide for compiling the thing as a whole.

Some people had lost her masternodes there and users have received lots of phishing attacks.

Kind Regards Christian

P.S. I don´t like big letters here.  Smiley

I think that everyone who runs a masternode should definetly use something more secure than windows with proper firewall rules. 25000BSD is alot of money, and it would suck to lose that for phishing attack.

Payment received, however it's missing around 10$ from the current bitcoin rate, or is it just that unstable?

618  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why isn't this person tagged? Multiple scam accusations on: November 28, 2017, 10:26:43 PM
Consider no one give a fuck about the scammers i report seems like im wasting my time busting them Smiley
Now i will remove ALL my negative feedback to everyone and pm them they are no longer tagged by me so they can scam around free as before.
I had enough of all of the retards who don't care about the scammers around.

Nice try there, although my feedback stays because of the following reason(s):

1. Retaliatory feedback.
2. Abuse of the trust system (marking that people have scammed over a million BTC from you, even tho this is not accurate).
3. Blaming everyone to be alt of scammers (meanwhile you are conducting some very shady behavior on the forum, like the two reasons mentioned on part 1 and 2).
4. Using the "i'll take my words back if you take yours" trick, which would leave the expression on the forum that nothing has happened, meanwhile you have been attacking many people here and pretending to be the victim and everyone who questions you and your actions is a "scammer".

I have said my opinion.
Also here is the Archived page in case Danos decides to edit his comment.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my Stratis coins transfering on Ledger nano S - Newbie on: November 28, 2017, 12:55:54 PM
I have done a resycn....but still nothing appears. What is the next step?

I don't know then. Have you checked if you can see the addresses that were generated from your seed on the ledger?
Check if you even have the address listed there where you sent the Stratis to. If you can, then i think that pretty much the only thing you can do is to restore the seed to official Stratis wallet and then spend.
Im not exactly sure how Nano S works, so would be a great if you could take a look around and see if you can find anything that could contain list of the public addresses that are usable in ur wallet and made from your seed.
620  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Safety first? on: November 28, 2017, 12:46:05 PM
Just curious. What if I make a super strong password, forget it and their servers will be shut down for some reason? On their website they are saying something like    "You can set any kind of passwords without worrying about anything". Also it it possible to set password for example for bitcoin core or it works only with popular online cervices?

I doubt that. Also since they are backed up by a pretty big company, they would notify you about that for sure. Im not sure, but i think you can recover the account somehow.
Also you can always write a backup of the passwords somewhere, or type a hint incase you forgot sometimes. Also saying that "worrying about anything" is kind of advertisement talk because on technology there are some certain risks involved. Nothing is bullet proof. You can save the password for bitcoin core on the vault yes, however the possible autofill option only works on browsers, so for bitcoin core you'd have to copypaste the passwords into the client. It is possible to save anything on the vault, even some notes if you want to.
