One Alt coin down, just another 10?  20?  30? to go.

I think we need to get this altcoin thing out of our system.  The innovative ones will stick, but the gimmicky scams will come and fade away once people realize there is only one Bitcoin.  Smiley

608  Economy / Marketplace / Re: i am buying xrp -- 9205518 on: May 10, 2013, 12:18:04 AM
9205518, 100% of all of your posts have been purchasing ripples.  Why exactly are you collecting ripple?  What do you mean, for trade?
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Get JKC and RYC to the exchanges on: May 10, 2013, 12:02:16 AM
what about yacoin?:O

Yacoin is also quite logical.  hard to mine so people would actually purchase them.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Get JKC and RYC to the exchanges on: May 10, 2013, 12:00:55 AM
JKC = no

The guy has 370 7950s? That's 84kW, 700amps. He set up his farm at a steel mill?

There's no way that's video cards. Gotta be FPGA's or maybe he found a way to make asics for scrypt.

Or it's a botnet.

That's my CNC wallet  the first small payments were from him, the rest where from me mining Sad

ALWAYS create a separate wallet address for each different thing, person, or transaction.  they're free, and this way your mining doesn't get mixed in.

What do you mean bumps?
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WSO-LTC | LTC Poker made right | Holdem, Plo, and Tournaments on: May 09, 2013, 09:44:32 PM
Intersting.  LTC is also better for microtx.

I'm the biggest supporter of LTC, and I hold mostly LTC, but the fees are higher which makes it less good for microtx.  I'd rather pay the fees though than deal with The Foundation that governs bitcoin..

618  Other / Off-topic / Re: A BFL ASIC 1000 BTC bet that looks like Inaba lost on: May 09, 2013, 08:58:00 PM
Cant wait to see this...

I would guess that IF he pays, the coin will actually come from BFL.

And by "from BFL", you are really saying "everyone that frll for BFL's lies and bought an ASIC" hahahahaha.

Don't think BFL is sitting there with all the Bitcoins everyone paid with.  The coins went to BitPay, which, apparently, paid BFL in USD.  So the $5 -> $200 increase in price did not equal BFL getting rich.

What it does mean though, is that BFL can simply delay the shipment of all our units, mine the bitcoins required for said bet, and then ship them when they've made enough money.  They have the tools.  We all paid for their development, but yet we don't have anything to show for it.

620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ars technica have a BFL product! on: May 09, 2013, 08:44:32 PM
Its really wrong that they are sending units to media outlets to promote more sales when customers who have had their money tied up for 6months sit and watch the difficulty go up and up. Really just shady, because random ArsTech readers will read this and order one not realizing that there is a GIANT backlog and "Shipping Now!" for BFL means "get in line and you might get one in 6 months, if we feel like it and dont go out of business first"

This ^

Make customers wait almost a year....then your first units go to PR/MEDIA outlets....fucking LAWLz!

Agreed, why try to promote more sales when (by their own admission) they have at least a 3 month backlog of orders even if they were to start shipping at full capacity today.

Makes me think that maybe they still have no intention of shipping orders.  For example if they used up all the pre-order money on research/test chips etc.. and found that that in order to make a Jalapeno it costs them like $800 per unit, and they have been sell them for $250.

Solution, ship out the 30 or so working prototype units to media outlets for free.  Try to bank as many new sales as possible; do a runner with the cash.

I really cannot see any above board reason why you'd ship freebee units to media outlets before customers who have been waiting almost a year...

Unfortunately it looks more and more like BFL might run.

Especially considering BFL is already 2000 BTC in the hole ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=92268.msg1217403#msg1217403 ) due to a bet..  They can't really operate as a legit business anymore.

"thanks for paying for us to develop the BFL ASICs."

"we're just going to mine them for a few years kthxbai"
