601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's the advantage of running a full node? on: February 08, 2017, 09:15:45 PM
As far as I know, in BTC network miners are not necessarily full nodes. Miners earn profit for mining blocks. With mining blocks, they contribute to the BTC network, but they do not contain the whole blockchain. Full nodes have the whole blockchain downloaded. So, I have a few questions related the two or three expressions. I think, it will be helpful to clarify to others too. Sooo

What are the differences between full nodes and not full nodes?
What are the differences between not full nodes and miners?
Are all full nodes miners too?

I think, giving simple and exact definition to each expression clears up all. But I also opened this thread because I want to hear your opinion

What are the advantages of running one or another? Are you running any of them and why?
602  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Sell VPS 68 Giga Ram , 17T Hard For 20$ Yearly on: February 08, 2017, 08:09:11 PM
Will you give me a one-week trial to me before any payment? What if I do not want to buy your VPS for one year, but for only some months? Will the payment be relatively smaller?

We could use an escrow like @player514 for the deal.
603  Economy / Digital goods / [W] VPS w/ Windows & RDP & Full admin access on: February 08, 2017, 08:02:01 PM
I could use a Windows VPS what I can access with RDP and use full admin permission as for installing (TomCat, JVM) and building (Maven, CMD) applications and offer web applications from the server (SpringBoot).

You either have to be a member with confirmed and legit deal history here or offer a one-week trial before payment. We may use an escrow.

What are your offers?
604  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Developing a Wallet? on: February 08, 2017, 07:38:01 PM
Before getting too technical, you need a good purpose. A purpose that motivates you. Why would you create a new wallet? Why would people use your new wallet? The answers to these questions usually include the technical guideline too. Personally, I would love a nice, open-source, web-application Java wallet. I would love it because web-applications are accessible from anywhere and I am developing in Java and to a nice base I can expand my own features easily.
605  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: There is any Bitcoin "products" for Banks? on: February 08, 2017, 07:25:22 PM
Both. Banks may be interested in blockchain technology to expand their services and they are interested in BTC, too. First thing first, they are interested in blockchain technology, but their investment is still low in this field. Let us say, they are analysing it, but rarely develop products with it. They are interested in BTC for other reason. The name of the reason is: ransomware. Yes, banks are often targeted with ransomware. They have started to stack up with BTC just in case. As far as I know, some altcoin platforms promised dedicated products to financial institutions, but none for BTC I am aware of. Maybe because BTC is supposed to support a financial system of people instead of banks...
606  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We're using the Bitcoin blockchain for the Sharing Economy on: February 08, 2017, 07:06:21 PM
So, by "sharing" you literally mean sharing the market items, right? So, I set a security deposit and price for each item I can lend and when a customer wish to borrow an item of mine, he pays the security deposit AND the price. If he steals the item, he loses and I get the security deposit. If he does not steal the item, he gets his security deposit back. Is that right? Is it on physical items or digital items too?
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How do you secure your full node? on: February 08, 2017, 06:44:10 PM
I am not asking for your passwords hehe.

I wonder what security steps you have done / are doing to keep your node secure?

Also, are you using a dedicated hardware or a full computer?
608  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is "tipping" worth? on: February 08, 2017, 06:36:51 PM
I think it's also a little based on the culture of the place where you live. For example here in Italy "tipping" isn't a part of the colture and we don't do it... when we eat in restaurants we pay the "coperto" (usually an euro or two) for the service of the waiters and you can't choose, you have to do it.

If I had to sell something I'd rather put it at a very low price than rely on tipping.

Thank you for pointing out the cultural differences! Truly, tipping is a cultural factor.

In some cultures they do and in some cultures they don't, what's more look at it as an offense sometimes.

But again, in a system that connects people from very different cultures together, what is this system's culture?
It is undefined and that is why tipping strongly depends on the individual and that is why you cannot base a systematic earning plan on it.

But you are right about the low price selling. If your purpose is making profit, then sell and do not rely on tipping.

Overall, I can sum it up as: tipping is a nice opportunity and far not outdated, but its place is not in a money-making method. Its place is in people's hearts  Wink So it is worth for you as long as you can appreciate it in your project as a favor.
609  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where would you invest if you had 40$/day ? on: February 05, 2017, 08:39:18 PM
Alright. I think, there are many general suggestion in this thread already. I have collected some ACTUAL services baed on them that may help you.

Methods:

BTC gambling (Risk involved) -
You can try to build your BTC empire with lady luck on your side to help you win your 1 BTC.

{Examples: pocketdice.io ,satoshimines.com/,www.bustabit.com/}

Stocktrading -
If you know a little about stocks, you can trade & buy BTC stocks.

{Examples: simplefx.com/,btc-e.com/,www.plus500.com}

Mining Hardware & Cloud mining -
You can mine with hardware such as antminers etc. But i do not recommend you to mine with hardware unless you have alot of money to spend on mining Rigs and an unlimited supply of power.  But you have an second option and that is cloud mining. So you can basically rent a mining rig and take them into profits.

{Examples: hashflare.io/,www.bitcoinmining.com/best-bitcoin-cloud-mining-contract-reviews/}
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to explain bitcoin advantage ?? on: February 05, 2017, 08:32:15 PM
An advantage of BTC is anyone could easily try it for himself independent from time and space. I would advise him to first check his intentions to use BTC as in value & security. BTC is available to anyone, but access should come with an awareness of security. There are great sites that explain the basics to beginners like take a look here: https://bitcoin.org/  So you can make your choice between several Wallets & OS ( operation systems.) It is important to choose a reliable Bitcoin wallet with great security options and which is fast sending/recieving of the BTC.
611  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Advertising question. Country coefficients on: February 04, 2017, 07:31:19 PM
Another factor you are advised to consider is the changing in GDP. There are some countries where the GDP goes from worse to better or vice versa. I suggest building a concept that can handle these changes, handling them automatically would be very spectacular, I think. Also, in some countries the size of GDP does not express the value of the given ad in that market. You could categorize not only users, but ads as well.
612  Other / Archival / Re: Earning "free" bitcoins on: February 04, 2017, 07:19:09 PM
There are lot of ways to earn FREE bitcoin without any investment. The best way is the signature campaign and paid forum posting. In these methods, you will only have to make quality posts and nothing else. You will earn lot more than a faucet. Faucets are basically a big waste of time and nothing else.

Now once you accumulatesome free bitcoin from Signature campaign and paid forum posting, use that amount for trading. Trading is the best method to earn lots of bitcoin. You must try trading.

You could earn small amounts of BTC easily from forum posting and then trade it to altcoins with potential. In this way, you will never lose more than you could afford to lose on a bad altcoin investment and a successful altcoin investment may bring you a nice return even with relatively small starting investment from BTC. In addition to forum posting, I suggest considering WHERE you are posting and always ask about the rights of your posts' content. New forum owners prefer to pay for posts, but most of these new forums usually go offline, unfortunately it often means the end of that forum posting opportunity. If you kept the right on your content, you could re-use it in the next forum without hurting their SEO (since the last forum went down forever) thus saving time. The point is always ASK about the rights of YOUR content and consider that next time.
613  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Telegram API | What is missing here? on: February 04, 2017, 07:14:57 PM
igaming software developer Slotegrator already provides solutions for creation of casinos based on Telegram bots.

what do you think about it? How they can integrate a payment systems? I dont understand Huh

There are differences between Telegram API, Telegram bot and external bot with custom Telegram interface. I think, official Telegram bot does not support such payment system, but you could handle the payment system in your own web application and connect to Telegram via API and use the bot to spice things up.

User to System:
Users -> Telegram bot -> Your web application -> Payment system

System to User:
Payment system -> Your web application -> Telegram API -> [OPTIONAL] Telegram bot -> Users

That is my thought on this matter. Payment systems have their own tutorials to integrate them in web application. To develop a web application, I suggest using SpringBoot, which made my development time super quick.
614  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What Computer Games You Wish to Buy with BTC cheaper? on: February 04, 2017, 07:08:29 PM
I prefer digital delivery.
Have never owned any CD/DVD computer game except 1 that was pain in the ass.
If you sell digital keys for games, it will be great!
Good luck!

But I read that if you have only online bought (so virtual) games in your Steam account, you will have difficulties when you have to restore your account, e.g.: after an account hijacking. Difficulties occur when you could validate your ownership. You could do this with sending a photo about your CD/DVD's physical licence code, which was activated in the account, but if you do not have any CD/DVD, you cannot validate your ownership in this way. Does Steam still keep this validation way? I also would love to hear OP's solution against such hijackings against this web shop's users.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: February 04, 2017, 07:02:03 PM
Use two wallets. Hot and cold. Hot wallet can be online/mobile, only keeping enough bitcoin in it that could be deemed "spending cash". You keep the rest in a cold wallet, deemed your "savings account". It's the best solution I've seen thus far.

It makes sense and your cold wallet could be a physical BTC as well as a paper wallet or HW wallet, the type you are comfortable with. Also, I think alot of people, who otherway consider security, use web wallet only because they do not have more money in BTC than what they can afford to risk in a web wallet for being comfortable.
616  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Jackpotracer is looking for a developer for our famous DUST LOTTERY game on: February 04, 2017, 06:33:46 PM
thx for your posting but we dont know the required skills as we are non coders and our game was running on moneypot api as a full client side app

but I am sure if someone is interested and IMO he will know how a game should be done to go live online with our own bank roll he will PM us as some did

thx again

I understand the mentioned purpose and although as a potential developer I too would love to have them I also understand why listing the technologies causes difficulty. However, if you do not own any understanding about the required technologies at all, how would you like to validate the project? In the thread, we also can read you do not trust any developer easily other than your developer who cannot work on this project now. How could you give your trust (and money...) to someone without tools to test his work's quality?
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitKey: New Linux Distro for Bitcoin on: February 04, 2017, 06:26:02 PM
Tails may perform as well as this distribution, but from the features it is clear BitKey has several pre-installed tools that save you time, which is one of the most important factors when setting up a distribution. My question to someone who has used BitKey already is, how much is it autoconfigured? Is it just a bunch of pre-installed tools or does it have any autoconfiguration/script that REALLY saves you time?
618  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Running a node on a low spec notebook computer. on: February 04, 2017, 06:21:54 PM
May I ask how much experience you have with Ubuntu? Because Windows 10 may be slower and less secure than a well-configured Linux, but "getting" the right configuration is not an easy task. Due to my occupation, I met alot of cases where Linux servers got hacked because of insufficient configuration and Windows XP that was running for 10+ years without a single successful hacking attempt. So, Ubuntu is better if you know what you are doing, but Windows is the safer if you have doubts. That is my experience, at least and a little warning.
619  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MultiPlayer Tank Game (Bitcoin Integration) Suggestions On Monetization on: February 04, 2017, 06:14:39 PM
I suggest reconsidering the entry fee part unless you are a well known developer with a really good game expected by alot of people, already. I understand you have honest intention with charging fee (server costs...etc.) and that your game looks pretty neat, but I think it still is an indie game and especially since the payment is in BTC, your first task is to win players' trust before actually charging them lol. Since trust does not pay for your server costs, you still could include some fee on skins...etc., but only after you have a stable player base and proven BTC integration. In my experience, people are willing to buy those sweet, little extras if your game is really good.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would be the best moral / immoral ways to become Bitcoin millionaire? on: February 04, 2017, 06:04:04 PM
The examples you gave are right on each category but i would really like to earn bitcoin in legal way rather than on illegal.I dont care if i earn on small amounts atleast my conscience wont bother me at all rather than doing bad things to other people.I really dont like that kind of thing.Better to be a millionaire on pure hard work compare on easy money.

Just because BTC is pseudo-anonim, it does not mean you cannot get caught for illegal act. For example, "earning" BTC by hacking a computer and stealing the private keys in it is an illegal act because you are doing it without permission. Even if blockchain is anonim, you are leaving traces that the responsible organizations could follow back to you. At the end, you get your punishment not only because earning BTC without paying taxes, but committing a deed, which is illegal without BTC's involvement.
