601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: November 05, 2023, 12:08:11 PM
The main problem that often arises is the money, specifically the split. But if you ask me, I believe this fight could have a 50/50 split for both fighters, or maybe a 60/40 split in favor of Fury because he's the more well-known boxer and could draw more pay-per-view subscribers.
While you and the others are arguing how they split the money, the promoters of this fight already knows that no matter who's going to favor in the split, they're still going to pocket the largest amount of money. People have no idea how corrupt the boxing federations are, the current system is designed to make money for the federations and promoters, look at what happened in the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou fight, we know who's the clear winner during the fight but given how corrupt the system is, the undeserving got the belt. But hey, I'm not an expert in this kind of sport and I'm just a keen observer of what's going on so, I might be wrong and that Fury does deserve that win.

When you believe that they are greedy, they still would not be happy if they will not get the biggest share of the pie, despite the amount involved being already a substantial sum of money. That's how greedy promoters think; they want to maximize their profit on a big fight like this. But let's leave that to them; it's their job. As long as the fight will push through, we should be happy with that.

About the fight between Fury vs. Francis, it's a controversial fight, but let's also give respect to Fury as he didn't cheat. I think he fought well, making the judges favor him in a close fight. I understand the frustration of Francis' fans, but in the world of boxing, the result lies with the judges, not our personal perception.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 05, 2023, 11:33:38 AM
GSW started well but I am still unconvinced that they can maintain the top 3 seed in the West. The same with Dallas, Kyrie has been a disaster over the years since leaving Lebron.

I can see the Warriors maintaining their strong performance because they're healthy now, and they've been dominant in the past. The territory they're in now is familiar to them. Despite their struggles last season, people tend to forget how good the Warriors are. Curry is still in his prime, and with CP3 contributing well, it wouldn't be a surprise if they eventually climb to the top and overtake the Nuggets.

Overtake Nuggets? I doubt that, GSW has a very poor defense in the paint which Nuggets dominate the most plus the fact that they have 3s too and good defense. Joker is unstoppable while his teammates are already contributing consistently on each of their match. MPJ is now showing some consistency on his game to help Jokic on points. I wonder how GSW can stop Nuggets if their accuracy on perimeter shots will be awful. So far Curry is consistent but a good defender will stop him.

Judging on paper, yes, the Nuggets seem to have the edge over the Warriors. It has always been the weakness of the Warriors, which is their defense in the paint and rebounding, as they choose to play small ball. Just like their game at home against the Kings, there was a huge disparity in rebounding, as the Warriors only got 36 while the Kings had 48. But it ended up well for the Warriors as they won by 1 point. However, the Kings are not the Nuggets, who are the defending champions.

In the East, it's a bit different. The Boston Celtics seem to be the clear dominant team, so it's likely they'll end up as the number 1 seed. They deserve that top spot, and according to the betting odds, they're the favorites to win the championship this season.

Yeah, Most of the team on East is still on adjustment phase. No doubt that Boston will be top seed or 2 since they have their main player that is still performing well. I just hope that they will not choke this year.

I’m impressed on the improvement of White since he have more play time now.

White has been pretty consistent and clutch, so the Celtics are lucky to have him. He was the reason why their series with the Heat in the last playoffs went to game 7 because of his last shot.

However let's talk about Marcus smart, while the Celtics remain undefeated, Smart and his team are still winless. No luck for him.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: November 04, 2023, 01:28:44 PM

Anyways, a new date for Usyk-Fury is expected in February. I am still doubtful unless it is official. I expect Fury to only fight March onwards unless Usyk threatens to file a case due to the failed December 23 date where he already made a camp in Spain. And for the second time, Usyk needs to stop his training camp since he cannot overtrain.

We're all waiting for the official announcement if the fight pushes through this December Usyk is on a huge advantage if January or February Fury can fully recuperate and give him enough time to heal his wounds and eventually build his confidence heading to the fight.
I don't think Usyk has a significant advantage over Fury. Fury has been in many battles, and he's a boxer who can take heavy punches and keep fighting. What Fury is dealing with is not an injury, so it should heal relatively quickly.

I'm more concerned about the training time. I don't think it's likely to happen in December, as they would have to shorten their training, which isn't good for fans who are expecting an entertaining fight.

I'm sure there will be a lot of bargaining and negotiations that are going to happen back door, and we will see who got the better of the negotiation, but for me, I want both fighters healthy with good motivation so we can ensure a great fight, the fight will not be fair if one fighter has a mental advantage because of past events that occurred.

The main problem that often arises is the money, specifically the split. But if you ask me, I believe this fight could have a 50/50 split for both fighters, or maybe a 60/40 split in favor of Fury because he's the more well-known boxer and could draw more pay-per-view subscribers.
604  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 04, 2023, 10:24:52 AM
If AI/robot can become a doctor, business owner, pilot, driver or engineer, it's true if AI will take over every jobs.

Above jobs I mentioned are need situational decision because the situation and condition are always changing. Maybe AI/robot could do that in the future since technology always improving, but in our generations, I could say we're safe.

The AI/robot need to have a very good sensory and tons of codes to have every decisions in different situation and condition.

But this should only be limited as it's impossible that AI will replace human in the working field. You know, the population increases in a daily basis...., as according to https://www.theworldcounts.com/challenges/planet-earth/state-of-the-planet/world-population-clock-live

Quote
The World Population is growing by over 200,000 people a day

If AI continues to be the main thing, it could lead to a problem called underemployment. That's not good because it can cause significant issues, such as more crime due to people not having enough work and going hungry. This wouldn't make the world a better place to live.

So, let's not worry too much. AI is going to stay, and it's very helpful. But it would be a problem if the people who make AI end up taking away jobs from humans and causing them to struggle.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 04, 2023, 09:03:44 AM
And another great escape by the Warriors against OKC. It was a back and forth changes of the lead in the last 2 minutes. But this time it was Steph Curry who hit the winner basketball and just like Klay Thompson in their last game he left some 0.2 seconds left wherein the other teams can't score with that much time.

I thought that the Warriors are going to win though, but the OKC team, makes a great comeback, if only Dort could have hit that 1 free throw, they could be a tied game and it might change the complexion and could go into OT. Nevertheless, Curry drive with a lay-up to win by just 1 point.

That's when the experienced team gains an advantage because they've been in similar situations many times. Although the Warriors won the game, most of their victories haven't been as strong as teams like Boston and the Nuggets. This still worries me that they might lose when facing a strong team, but for now, let's just enjoy the win and worry later.

By the way, Lillard had a good game after a bad one. He scored 30 points and led the Bucks to beat the visiting Knicks.

Who else experienced here that the list of active bets or settled bets in the Duelbits dashboard is missing? But on my profile list of transactions I can see some bets are being credited or the history of my transactions.
When I logged in again today, I saw everything is fixed now and they gave me a 3.00 Free bet.

probably just a temporary bug
it happens sometimes even on the best websites

glad your problem was solved and that you even got a small bonus on top of that!
have fun

I hope I could have the same bug experience and get credited with a free bet, LOL. On a serious note, I haven't encountered such an issue, or perhaps it was a temporary problem that was quickly resolved, as I didn't notice it when I logged in during that period.

608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2023, 03:34:00 PM
It's a weird line up if all of them are in the court at the same time but I was thinking maybe it could work if Kahwi and PG will have to focus more on the defensive end while Harden and WB handles offense.
WB to handle the offense? Are you kidding me? No man, he can't shoot.
I knew some of you would isolate WB before I posted that. I'm pretty much aware that he's not the best shooter among the four but he won't be alone in driving the team's offense. I can see him as the main point guard that creates plays and dishes out assists most of the time. That's where he's the most effective and I doubt he'll have complaints. Harden could be the shooting guard while facilitating the ball occasionally.

Westbrook used to be a triple-double machine, consistently averaging at least double-digit points, rebounds, and assists in his seasons with OKC, Houston, and Washington. His struggles began when he joined the LA Lakers, and this decline continued during his time with the Clippers. At least, we've seen him in higher spirits with the Clippers than he was with the Lakers, which is why he accepted a smaller contract, perhaps in hopes of finally winning a championship. Now that they have Harden, things are looking up. However, the only potential roadblock to their success would be if Harden were to display immaturity, as he has done in the past.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 31, 2023, 02:40:48 PM
Thank you @danherbias07...

I have an early lean for tomorrow's games, even though there are only three on the board. As usual, I'll choose the one where I feel I have the best chance of winning, LOL. So, the game I'm looking at is the Knicks vs. Cavaliers.

Mitchell is currently listed as questionable, but I have a hunch that he'll play. Therefore, I'm leaning toward taking the +3.5 early. It's possible that the odds could shift in favor of the Knicks if Mitchell indeed plays. Regardless, I believe that Cleveland will put in a strong effort, especially since they haven't secured a home win this season, and it would be their third consecutive home loss if they don't step up.
610  Economy / Economics / Re: Biting more than i can chew. How can i do better? on: October 31, 2023, 04:08:23 AM
You refer to yourself as self-employed, indicating that your income depends on your work. It's an experience that can offer valuable insights into life's realities. I would recommend considering the idea of starting your own business, one that can grow over the long term. This way, you can create a source of income that doesn't rely solely on your personal efforts. It's not always easy to be in that position, but thinking ahead is essential.

While you're currently employed, it's a good idea to explore additional income sources. Over time, you can accumulate capital to invest in the business you desire, which can lead to financial stability. Furthermore, diversifying your income across multiple businesses in different industries is a smart move. It provides a safety net in case one business faces challenges or struggles.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 30, 2023, 11:44:58 PM
Warriors vs Pelicans.

The matchup between the Warriors and the Pelicans is quite interesting. The Pelicans have maintained a perfect record this season, while the Warriors are facing a back-to-back road game. On paper, the Pelicans appear to be an attractive choice here. However, I can't resist betting on the Warriors, given their impressive performance in their last two games. With Draymond Green back, even if he's on a minute restriction, it instills confidence that the Warriors can go on a big run to secure a victory. Therefore, I'm leaning towards the Warriors with the +2.5 spread. As for a side pick, I'm considering the Miami Heat at +7.5, particularly because I believe Lillard's struggles may persist, especially against a strong defensive team.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 30, 2023, 11:09:20 PM
https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/10/frank-warren-says-tyson-fury-needs-to-rest-until-2024-oleksandr-usyk-rematch-will-happen/

Fury’s promotor said that after a less than impressive performance by The Gypsy King, this fight is unlikely to happen in 2023. It’s far more likely that we will have to wait until 2024. It just builds the suspense I guess, this is the fight everybody wants to see, to unify the heavyweight division.

It's a wise decision, considering that this is currently the biggest fight of his career. There's no need to rush, especially when you take into account that Usyk is still in the process of healing from his injury, so he may not be at 100% yet. Postponing the fight until next year would likely benefit both fighters. Moreover, we've already witnessed an exciting bout between Fury and Ngannou recently, so people should savor the entertainment it provided before eagerly anticipating the next showdown.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 29, 2023, 04:40:45 PM
Tomorrow/Later, they will battle against the Denver Nuggets and this will test them out big time if they will continue that winning streak.
There's also the Sacramento Kings versus the LA Lakers tomorrow, another young promising team. I will definitely not miss this one and I bet it will be a great game to watch and maybe bet a little bit.  Wink
I like the Thunder, but I'd still go with the Nuggets on this one. I don't know how they will stop Jokic. This might end up as a close one, but I go with the Nuggets.
The Nuggets narrowly secured a 4-point victory against a struggling Memphis team. Given this, I believe that OKC has a reasonable chance of covering the spread even if they don't win. Jokic is undoubtedly a unstoppable, but we have this young OKC team which has been performing exceptionally well, making it a tempting option. It seems that many are now favoring the Nuggets, judging by the significant line movement. The opening line at -2 has now shifted to -4.

As for the Kings, and Lakers, as much as I want the Lakers to win, but they're on the road, and I see the Kings playing better on this one knowing that they just lost against Curry, and the Warriors.
The Lakers' defense and their outside shooting performance are crucial factors in this game. On the other hand, the home team, coming off a loss against the Warriors, is likely eager for a significant bounce-back victory. If they can effectively limit Fox, the Kings should be able to secure a win in this game.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 29, 2023, 04:15:12 PM
Fury going to the Usyk fight with what happened will dampen a little bit of his confidence, he needs to train really hard because of his performance and Usyk's performance in their last fights, Usyk performed far better than Usyk Although he gets knockdown he manages to stop Dubois.
But the fight should happen they should settle once and for all who is the undisputed champion of this era.

I just can't imagine if the fight pushed through if Fury lost his fight the fight could have been canceled, many believed that Ngannou won the fight, or it could have been a draw, but we know the boxing organization will protect their interest, the fight against Usyk must push for the boxing community's interests.

This fight seems done deal. This could have been one of the reasons the organization decided to pick Fury as the winner. If it was Francis, Usyk vs Fury might not push through.
The unification of their belts is still set to happen, with Fury's fight against Francis being a non-title bout. However, this match will undoubtedly have a significant impact on Fury's confidence as he prepares to face Usyk, whereas Usyk's confidence is likely to grow. If Francis were to win, it wouldn't bode well for the boxing narrative, which is why many speculate that Fury was the preferred winner. I've heard numerous speculations to that effect, with some suggesting that Francis was unfairly judged, but, in the end, the outcome is what it is.

There could be a delay since Fury has a cut on his forehead. Early next year probably and it will be huge money again for Fury regardless of the outcome.

Can't imagine the frustration of the people who bet for Ngannou to win, they must have been expecting a big win until the decision came.  Ngannou 8.20 won would be a treat.

In the later rounds of the fight, Francis's odds dropped to +100. Was this a sign that he'll win? Yes, it was, because right from the beginning, Francis had already instilled hope in his supporters. Despite occasionally being struck by Fury's counters and jabs, he managed to hang in there.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anti-Gambling Tools on: October 29, 2023, 04:04:29 AM
If you're not too shy to open up about your problem, consider having a chat with your family. They're likely to be understanding and supportive. Personally, I've had a bout of gambling addiction before, and spending time with friends and family made a big difference. Diversifying your interests and finding new forms of entertainment can help shift your focus away from gambling. It's not about quitting entirely, but giving yourself a break and some space to reflect on your mistakes, and to accept your losses. Acknowledging those losses can prevent you from falling deeper into the cycle of irresponsible gambling. We've got to learn discipline to get back on track as responsible gamblers.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: October 29, 2023, 03:03:36 AM
Keep that word "greedy" if you would judge to yourself only. We never judge a gambler for what they're doing because they have their own intentions. They might be betting only what they can afford to lose, if you catch my drift. Maybe you find the amount significant, but from the gambler's perspective (the one with the bet slip), it's seen as an opportunity to win big if they don't cash out the bet.

The phrase "bet what you can afford to lose" applies to everyone, but it varies for each individual user as we all have different financial statuses and risk tolerances.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 28, 2023, 04:03:20 PM
Knicks looked solid on the road against the Hawks here.  The Hawks are missing John Collins this year.  They look like they definately went backwards although jalen johnson looks like he is going to be a player in this league.  Trae looks lost the first 2 games.  Knicks locked him up but he doesn't look season ready yet.

Collins was still adjusting to his new team, and though he struggled a bit with his shooting, he finished with a double-double in their big win against the Clippers. We can't deny that he was a significant part of the Hawks' success in past seasons. But what's done is done; they need to move on and continue making improvements to the team.

Quote
A win is a win, big game tonight on the road again for the Knicks against the Pelicans.
This is gonna be tough,

This should be a great matchup, but I hate to say it, I think the Knicks might lose because they're on a back-to-back game against a well rested Pelicans.

619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 28, 2023, 06:01:41 AM
[''''']he might try to take it until the last round and let the judges do the decision. I hope it will be a successful strategy against a boxer like Inoue who likes ending the fight in a short amount of time.

I'm not entirely certain if this is a great strategy. While it's a unification fight, Tapales should acknowledge that he's not competing on neutral ground. Fighting in Inoue's home country could mean that Inoue gets certain advantages in a close contest. To secure a victory, Tapales might need to focus on developing a potent counter that has the potential to hurt Inoue and aim for a knockout. This way, the judges won't need to decide the outcome.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 25, 2023, 10:24:53 PM
So, this fight is now official for December 26 in Tokyo Japan. This only means that whatever Tapales asked was given by uncle Bob.

This fight is history in the making for both fighters as a win by Tapales would make him the only Filipino to have unified the four prestigious belts and on the other hand, Inoue will be making buzz across the boxing world as the unified champion in two weight divisions in just two fights.

It's just good to note that finally this fight has already a schedule.

A day after Christmas, it's a great selection of schedule. Now, there's no more speculation about whether the fight will push through or not. At least we have the official report on when and where to watch this fight.

Tapales seems to be taking this seriously; he's already been training, even though there are still 2 months before the fight. Will he be training for a total of 3 to 4 months? I understand his eagerness to win, but I hope he doesn't overstrain himself.
